Outstanding service, very good food, lovely surroundings. Could not fault this place. Will definitely return, well worth the short walk from Lord Street. Had the special 3 course menu for £24. Starters cauliflower, OH had ham hock. Cauliflower beautifully spiced, husband loved the ham hock. Mains £3 supplement for steak, I had gnocchi. Husband said steak is one of the best he has had in ages. The gnocchi was a very satisfying dish, gorgeous cameralised garlic, long stem broccoli with almonds. Very tasty. Puddings had were sticky toffee and lemon posset. Both divine. Generous portions. Very much worth it. Looking forward to returning to try the Sunday lunch. Would highly recommend.

Nipped in for a quick lunch with my husband. Hadn't tried it before and wanted somewhere we could enjoy the sun outside, without feeling like we were sitting in a pub car park! Food was really good. My husband had the battered haddock. He is generally very critical of either the fish or the batter, however he rated this one very highly!. I had the pokebowl with added chicken, which was also really good. Portions were decent size. Definitely recommend :-)

Had a fabulous breakfast, was expecting to be underwhelmed as smoked bacon and herb sausage aren't my favourite but was very pleasantly surprised. Everything was cooked to perfection, bacon and sausages were delicious, more than sufficient portion wise with excellent service. Would definitely recommend.

Popped in for Sunday brunch. Brought the dog which is always a challenge but we were seated in their dog-area and had a fantastic Keto brunch. Plenty of red wine and a thoroughly lovely time. Staff were great and service on the mark. Recommended.

Have visited a couple of times recently, popped in for a coffee last week and decided to try for dinner this evening. The food was well presented and very tasty, steak was beautifully cooked. Good value 2 or 3 course set menu with quality ingredients. Our waitress was lovely and friendly, will definitely be returning.

Wasn't sure what to expect as we have 4 young children and it's usually difficult to find somewhere at short notice that's family friendly. When we arrived, we were greeted by Sunny who made us feel so welcome and had so much time for the kids. They had a great kids menu and the children thoroughly enjoyed the food. Myself and my partner ordered a selection of starters and salads which were extremely tasty, and it was obvious how fresh the food was. The chef even took time to talk us through the dishes. Nothing was too much and we'll definitely be back. Thank you to all at White House, you really did make our evening very special.

Lovely restaurant decor is so nice. I have been twice recently and really enjoyed it service really good food was very nice lemon posset gorgeous. Staff are so pleasant and friendly definitely worth a visit

Lovely brunch. Four of us all had different dishes. My friend was delighted as there was a vegan breakfast for her. Lovely staff and really lovely decor. Definitely recommend breakfast/brunch

A bit of class beautiful decor we even had the door opened for us !!! Lots of options on the menu ❤❤ forgot to take photos. Definitely going to organise a group here for High Tea !!! Well done all👍👍

We took one of our friends for Afternoon Tea as a Birthday gift. The sandwiches were delicious and the cakes very tasty. We would recommend The White House for afternoon tea, we also noticed that the other meals which the customers were eating looked very good as well. We will be returning in the near future. Went with a local U3a group. Maybe there were too many of us ? the starters were good, but the mains were poor. A bavette steak, with a few stringy fries and a mushroom. Only covered half the plate , so we were expecting some veg or salad .. could hardly cut the steak never mind chew it. Its a shame... its a great venue... maybe it's improved since then. However £26 for this ... there are numerous places around giving great food at half the price.

We booked the private dining room for a group of friends. We thoroughly enjoyed the Sunday Lunch menu. The cocktails were lovely and the service was fabulous. A special mention to Sonny who looked after us incredibly well. We will return.

Don't even bother, much better place's, Vincent, The Grand or Auberge. The White House, Overpriced, Overbearing Manager!

Waited over an hour for food.adults with learning disabilities.all ordered fish and chips as there were no burgers.2 meals of fish and chips where raw inside,had to be sent back therefore waiting a further half an hour.will not be going there again.we left without a dessert due to the waiting time.

Called for brunch today and was not disappointed. .The food was excellent.I had Eggs Benedict ,hubby had Sausage and Egg Balm. The inside is very nicely decorated and it feels very relaxing. ,The waiter was very welcoming and helpful. Will certainly call again.

Visited on a Sunday morning with family for breakfast. Very enjoyable although I chose something off the menu and the waiter returned to say it was not available!!!! however they were very apologetic and a accommodating in other ways. However I would have liked to have seen other sweet options on the menu for example pancakes with berries. It’s a former golf club house and the refurb has been done very nicely very bright and lovely music playing. Staff also very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble.

First time visit which I was able to book easily online. First class service from the moment we arrived and the food was amazing. Made this a really special occasion. Highly recommended.

THE BEST MEAL THAT WE'VE HAD IN AGES! This is a must go to restaurant and you will not be disappointed. The presentation was outstanding, the taste was absolutely INCREDIBLE, and what's more, the portions were real sizes unlike a lot of restaurants you got to nowadays. I recommend the olive nibbles, cauliflower starter, gnocci main, and panna cotta for dessert. The gnocci is so deliciously unique and crispy, I don't think I'll be able to eat gnocchi anywhere else now! It was the first time we have stayed in the restaurant after our meal for a couple hours more because the mocktails were really flavoursome and the staff were so attentive and welcoming, we chatted for ages. Very highly recommend! Thank you for looking after us and we will be back!

Great place, great poached eggs, great staff and so easy for parking compared to Southport town centre. Oh and great music.

First visit to the white house. We ate quite late, the restaurant was quiet so we were invited to sit where we wanted. Very helpful waiter. Good choice on the menu. We all agreed that the food was absolutely delicious. No thing to complain about....

I can honestly say it’s close to the worst I’ve ever had this place does not know what it’s doing in any capacity, completely disorganised and the food is not even average. Waste of money and time.
