Lovely breakfast, Staff were happy to adapt my special request on my Eggs Benedict. friendly service and dog friendly inside. Even cooked up a sausage for our dogs breakfast

Great little place, food was superb and the staff were super friendly

Visited at the weekend. We sat at a table which had just been used, the plates were cleared however the tables were not cleaned so there were crumbs etc just left. Empty boxes all over the floor. The staff seemed unfriendly like we were an inconvenience for them to serve. We ordered pancakes, the place wasn't that busy, we don't mind waiting if it's worth the wait. Unfortunately it wasn't. I was expecting something good but the pancakes were small and smothered in a chocolate sauce with some small pieces of fruit on top and some squirty canned cream on the side. If your charging nearly £10 for pancakes you have to do it right! I noticed my last pancake was burnt in places but I couldn't see it as the chocolate sauce was hiding it. By then I just wanted to finish and go. Weirdly enough you actually pay for the food before it's served?????? I understand why now. No staff came over to ask how the food was, when we left staff member was on the phone. My advice to the owner would be........when your not there who is managing your business from what I witnessed it was a number of teenagers including in the kitchen. I will be surprised if this place is still operating in 6 months from what I witnessed.

We visited here over the weekend with our family,we were told upon arriving there would be a short wait as they were cooking a new batch of sausages. We were fine with that, there was 8 of us so we didn’t expect it straight away,however we ended up waiting well over an hour for our food. The first two dishes came then we waited for an extra 20 mins for everyone else’s. When it came out it was literally stone cold, eggs were solid and cold, bacon was solid and looked like it had been cooked hours before. This is no exaggeration,it was so cold. No mushrooms on the breakfast either which was annoying,I didn’t even complain at this point as everything was wrong. The eggs Benedict was repulsive and again cold. The place is on the pricey end too so you expect so much better. We are local and have been here several times and it has been declining each time but wanted to give it a chance. However after yesterday we won’t come back again now.

Bitterly disappointed after hearing good things about this place. Called in for a cooked breakfast. Floor was filthy with remnants of food from previous day. Very little difference between full English and small English. Over cooked sausage that was inedible. Undercooked cold bacon. Sad because it's in such a lovely location.

Really enjoyed our visit to No 6! The girls who were waiting on were so friendly and helpful. The coffee was great, the menu was a lot more creative than I expected and was what we were looking for. I had my favourite dish .. avocado on sour bread with tomato and chilli’s and poached eggs ! Really gorgeous ! The only reason I didn’t give No 6 a five star rating was because I found quite a lot of shell in my egg 😳 I would return though !

Incredible service and amazing food

Can’t rate no6 highly enough, staff are always so friendly and accommodating. Food is amazing and menu choices are brilliant. Such a nice atmosphere and coffee is amazing too!

Fried Egg was undercooked on my full english! Sent it back for him to flip it for me. Took over 5 mins and when he returned my yolk was hard, and the rest of my breakfast was cold. Bacon looked boiled too. Very disappointing!

My husband and I regularly used to visit this little cafe when it was called Kitties tea rooms until the owner retired. So we thought we would try visiting this little place under the new ownership. However after the undercooked sausage and charcoaled bacon (literally) which it took them a couple of attempts to cook we certainly won't be bothering again. I don't know who was actually doing the cooking but I think they need a lot more practice before being let loose on the general public! Such a shame as we used to love visiting when it was Kitty's tea rooms. The staff were lovely and friendly and the food was always wonderful. Bring back Kitty please!!

Cosy little cafe with great range of food. I had the full english and it’s the best available in Formby by far. Quality ingredients cooked to perfection. Lots of other options including dairy-free and veggie. Dogs are welcome too.

Fantastic Sunday brunch with the kids. Only took off a star on Atmosphere because the space was a bit tight inside when busy.

So glad we found this little spot on our recent trip to Formby! My partner goes off google reviews for where we visit and they certainly deserve these 5 stars! We got the Nduja Honey Eggs on sourdough and Smashed avocado with poached eggs on sourdough to share. Both dishes were fantastic! The honey eggs were a firm favourite with just enough of a kick and such a unique breakfast dish, hopefully we can come back for them soon. My oat latte was delicious and just what I needed on a chilly day. My partner got a flat white. I’m really happy we came from Liverpool to do some work in this cafe today, all of the staff really took care of us. What a great little spot!

Would have loved to go there, but despite web site saying it was open, they had closed a full hour early because they were quiet. Not really a way to draw in new custom (not me anyhow)

Absolutely superb range of breakfast items. Quality produce and always served piping hot. The breakfast sausages are utterly delicious 👏🏼

Just called in here for brunch on a Sunday. I had Smashed Avocado on Sourdough which was excellent. The poached eggs were runny, which is often an insurmountable feat for some places. Mr J3 had Eggs Benedict. Excellent again, with lashings of Hollandaise sauce.

The young waitress had obviously been given no training - cups of tea were served with tea bag in, and no teaspoons to remove - had to use our fingers. We asked for two bacon sandwiches and we were brought sausage sandwiches, which we sent back. When our sandwiches arrived they were toasted and dry. The bacon, which was loaded with fat had obviously been cooked hours before and was dry and so tough it was difficult to chew. We asked for ketchup which was brought to the table, but we had to go looking for our own cutlery and serviettes. They then had the cheek to charge us £16.20. NOT money well spent.

Had breakfast here with our dog. Small English and smashed Avacado was lovely. Got drinks straight away and food within 15 minutes so more than happy

Just rode 20 miles and stopped here for lovely piece of Victoria Sponge and Pot of tea. Very nice staff with a warm welcome.

Lovely new spot right by the station. No.6 offers one of the best coffees in Formby without a doubt. The coffee has a strong taste and well prepared milk, but with a little more work to do in terms of latte art. The decor is minimalist but in the right way. I really liked the style and think it looks great throughout. There's plenty of seating inside and out, highchairs are available, and you can park on the station car park across the street, or along various adjoining roads. I'll definitely be back for more coffee, and to try the food!

Bit on the expensive side but maybe this is Freshfield price (I'm from Wirral). Very pleasant staff.

On arrival I had to battle past a table to get to the counter to order my food. I ordered 2 bacon sandwiches and 2 drinks. The drinks came out in a timely manner. However, 20 mins later we were still waiting for a bacon sandwiches, the waitress then came out and apologised for the delay saying they had run out of cooked bacon that they had prepared earlier that morning and they are frying some fresh bacon for us. I maybe would never of gone in the first place if I knew they was going to serve us old pre cooked bacon from the morning after all it was 1.15pm. Still waiting 5 mins later I noticed 2 of the waitresses were now seated eating bacon sandwiches. The bell rang and I though brill out sandwiches are ready, so the waitress who was eating her bacon sandwich jumped up licked her finger wiped it on her jeans then went to get our order. She placed our sandwiches on the table only for the toasted sandwich to be burn!! We asked for a refund which we got. A shame really from the outside it looked nice place.

Waited 20 mins for a table, ordered our food & drinks, and after 30 minutes of waiting for both drinks & food, the waitress came and informed us that there wasn’t enough eggs to make what we had ordered. Pretty much every option on the menu contained eggs, so we had no option but to leave!

Delicious food, the eggs benedict and mushrooms on sourbread are my favourite so far. Coffee is great and the orange is freshly squeezed. Lovely staff too.

Really well cooked breakfast .all top ingredients used and you could tell the quality . Only downfall was my egg which was slightly over cooked as to how I like them but will definitely go back if I am in the area

What an amazing little place, only had a coffee, but was gorgeous. Location is fantastic for getting off the train and prices are good. Great for people with dogs or children. Highly recommended

I regularly visit No6. Definitely Formby/freshfield’s best spot for brunch. Service is always really quick and friendly. Food and drink portions are generous and really fairly priced. Everything is so fresh and their coffee blend is really smooth. Would highly recommend. Bonus that they are dog friendly!

Absolutley delicious! What a treat! I visited on Mother’s Day and today after a kind special offer on Instagram and I’m obsessed! The breakfast is top quality, interesting menu, fresh fabulous food and excellent coffee. I can not compliment this place enough, perfect for brunch, I just need to try the afternoon menu now! Perfect location next to the station and squirrel reserve too!

An absolute banger of a café! The epitome of do a few things only, but do them well. Coffee was one of the best I've had in Merseyside, we had the large and small breakfasts and we're not disappointed - all of the things included was top quality (not cheap supermarket produce). Guys running the place were super friendly, just a lovely feel to the place too. Absolutely worth checking out if you are close by - well worth getting off the train on your way to Southport just to go here

Nice premises, pleasant staff, nice atmosphere, excellent food. Others on my table had the breakfast menu, I was 15 ,mins early for the lunch menu and couldn't order from that. In the event it was well after the start of the lunch menu bring available that the breakfasts were served so that was disappointing. Would recommend.

This cafe has really filled a gap much needed in Freshfield, a sit-in cafe with good, healthy food. The staff are lovely and the service is fast. I look forward to seeing the menu expand. Only slight downside for me is that dogs are allowed. I understand that's important for some people but there is a cafe across the road where you can sit outside which is also great. It's just a small space and last time I was in there was a big dog intent on barking at everything that went past. The Freshfield pub is also dog friendly so there are options.

Popped in for coffee after a big walk in the woods. Brought 3 dogs & they were welcomed as much as we were. Staff were lovely & friendly. Coffee was delicious & food looked amazing, so will definitely be going back to try the breakfast menu. Decor was great, really cozy, Perfect location just by Freshfield train station. Would highly recommend

We came here for the pizza night and it was such a treat! A fantastic atmosphere, lots of happy customers and of course yummy pizza at a good price. I have booked for the next pizza night already and also for brunch which I am throughly looking forward to.

My friends and I went to No 6 for breakfast. All our meals were really good. Very Reasonable prices. There was a nice comfortable atmosphere..the staff were very pleasant and friendly to everyone. We all agreed that we would recommend it and we will return again.

Arrived at busy time with four adults and a dog. Accommodated with a smile and a welcome and we continued time be impressed. Great food, really good for breakfast / lunch - but topped off by the most attentive, pleasant and welcoming service by the young people serving and running the place. Well done. Highly recommended.

Great experience when attending the pop up pizza event!! Staff were so kind and friendly and it's great to know you're supporting local. The pizza was SO tasty and I'll definitely be back for another, as well as getting some tea and cake at some point! Close to Freshfield Station so super handy when needing to grab something before heading up to the woods. A great addition to Formby!

First visit here with family for breakfast. Great welcome and friendly, fast service. We ordered a variety of breakfasts and all ingredients were good quality and served hot. Nice little stop for food or just a drink.

Great service, great coffee, great food, what more do you need. Had the steak sandwich, which is always a good test of a cafe, it was lovely, tender and tasty. We’ve struggled to find a great coffee shop, but no more, the coffee is very good. Chris and his team can’t do enough to help, creating a friendly, helpful atmosphere. Will be back and probably on a regular basis.

Conveniently located near Freshfield station No 6 offers a manageable selection of breakfast and lunch items. We had a full English breakfast and avocado smash on sourdough bread, good quality ingredients which are freshly prepared. The coffee was also excellent, and I appreciated the fresh orange juice. Well done Chris keep up the standard and I am sure you will be a great success.

Such a great spot!! I went in for coffee and cake and it was a great choice of locations. The coffee was delicious and the cake was very yummy also. It is very anaesthetic and the decor is super smart inside with a warm welcoming atmosphere. The staff were so friendly and accommodating which makes the cafe even more inviting. I can’t wait to return for some yummy food, which they cater to veggies and vegans… even better!! Thanks guys 🤗

Popped in for a late breakfast lunch with a friend and WOW! The food was amazing. I had the steak & onion ciabata and my friend had the smashed avacado. The food was so tasty and absolutely worth the trip! Service was fantastic and the staff were really friendly! Plenty of choices for drinks and cakes. Dog friendly! Cant wait to visit again

came in for a coffee when passing, stunning inside, super clean and modern, was met by the staff who was super lovely and welcoming! the coffee its self (Caramel Latte) was delicious! looking forward to my next visit with the missus, will be trying the food it looks unreal! highly recommend! 💙

A warm welcome into a lovely local coffee shop and kitchen. A great choice of food, drinks and cake beautifully presented. I had the smashed avocado, perfectly cooked poached eggs with the addition of sun dried tomatoes and balsamic glaze…yum. Will definitely be back.

A lovely little café next to Freshfield Station. We went for lunch and weren’t disappointed. Hot chocolate was made with chocolate flakes rather than powder. Husband said the veggie breakfast was the best he’s had. I had French Toast which was gorgeous. Perfect stop off if you’re out for a walk and are just after a drink and a cake as well. Staff were pleasant and helpful. We’ll definitely be back.

I recently visited this cafe and it was a wonderful experience. The staff were friendly, the coffee was delicious, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The shop has a great selection of food and drinks, and my flat white was served just the way I like it. I highly recommend this coffee shop to anyone looking for a great brew and a relaxing atmosphere.

I went for breakfast waitress very friendly I didn’t have to wait long to order. I had a full English very good sausages! Dog friendly and will be returning ! Also fresh homemade cakes so I took a takeout coffee and cake to go.
