A small, compact cafe with a friendly, inclusive atmosphere. Definitely a cut above the average park cafe - nice coffee and a good selection of cakes and traybakes. The breakfasts looked good as well.

This is an amazing cafe, Graham and all his staff are always very welcoming. The coffee they have is the best coffee around. The food is amazing too, especially the freshly made scones. I would highly recommend coming here, it’s dog friendly too. 10/10 for everything

Great cafe situated in Hesketh park ,great for walking the dogs ,and then resting for lunch ,coffee, ice cream etc. I've visited here everyday for several months .Best place to chill and relax ,staff are amazing, and would do anything to make your experience more engaging and enjoyable. It's become a community unit. They make you feel welcome at all times. Food is fantastic and very reasonable priced. Coffee is spot on ,also dog friendly ,and my two always get spoiled with treats and affection. Well done to Graham the proprietor for putting Hesketh park cafe back on the map.and turning it into a wonderful place. Kiddies playground, crazy golf. Even food for the ducks on offer. Brilliant place to be wet or fine . Please please support not just through summer seasons but the rest of the year. Top fan Elaine Johnson.

We attend the cafe after each Saturday Parkrun. The hot drinks are lovely as is the choice of food and snacks. The staff are great, ensuring the tables and chairs remain clear and clean between customers. The new owner certainly takes pride in his business and I’ve witnessed several acts of kindness from him for his customers. Highly recommended!

Called for a cup of tea and a coffee, I was served by a young tall girl who was picking her lips scratching her ears and hair then picking the cups with finger and thumb inside the cup, absolutely disgusting, the place could do with a visit from the environmental health KEEP AWAY

I briefly popped into Waterfields today and I was very pleasantly surprised at the selection. The cakes and snacks were extensively stocked behind the counter and were very reasonably priced at under £2 each. I bought a cupcake with vanilla cream on top which was delicious! The staff serving were friendly, polite and efficient. You can also sit in to eat, if you wish. The only issue was that the loaves of bread/toasties were running out, then again it was 3pm so this was understandable. Overall, I would highly recommend a visit!

This used to be a good bar but is now just a high priced dog compound. 9 dogs in this very small bar. Wouldn't order food given the smell of dogs and lack of washing of hands by bar staff after feeding treats to the dog. Don't bother, there are better alternatives in Formby.

Stopped for teacakes, crumpets and drinks on a wet mid morning weekday. Cafe is bright and inviting. Staff were friendly, efficient and polite.

Expensive for what you get. Service was great but you can feel the place is just designed to get as much money as they can for what little they give
