Wow, talk about disappointment! Booked this for my birthday at 7pm. Absolute poor service from the start. Didnât get seated till 7.10pm after being squashed at the main reception. A waitress didnât try to take our order till 7.35pm after being knocked into several times where we were sat. When asked to move was told theyâd try but was very rude about it. Finally left without food by choice and the manager didnât care and expected us to pay for our coke and lemonade. Definitely wonât be back and my friend said she wonât return either.

Awesome Indian restaurant in the village. Food was amazing and service was very friendly. The location was great within the village, parking is on the street or co-op (pay and display). It's quite an intimate venue, the way it's all set up in like booths so the atmosphere wasn't as good (when we visited) but I would highly recommend it. We shall no doubt be using this place as a takeaway too

I hadn't been in Tastebuds for some time for a breakfast so today I thought I'd give it a try. I t was busy and so I was prepared to wait, 40 mins. later I got my food, some of it was warm some was cold(tomato) the sausage was well cooked and hard on one side and hard to cut through and the bacon... must have been the smallest piece I have ever had, the egg when picked up dropped to bits, oh the mushrooms were ok and at ÂŁ8.95 I thought it was very overpriced for the quality and what I got.

My wife and I came across this quaint tea shop quite by chance, as it is on the outskirts of the village and laid back from the road behind a small cobbled forecourt. On entering we found it contained eight tables and quite busy for a Saturday afternoon. We ordered coffees and sandwiches which were made to order and absolutely delicious.I shall definitely return and tell my friends about it.Im not certain of the opening hours,so will need to check before I return.I thoroughly recommend it.

Turned up at about 8.50am on Easter bank holiday Monday. Had checked the website before hand. It said open at 8am. So we went along. 4 of us. Three adults and a 2 year old. Got to the door, which was open. Was told âwe open in 10 minutesâ we asked if we could sit inside for that time (because it was a bit chilly outside) but the dark haired girl said she was doing the cashing up so no we couldnât. I was there with my daughters and a 2 year old. We were hardly going to rob the place. Plus, it turned out when we got inside that this was a building with a very open communal seating area which she could have let us sit at for 10 minutes. We ordered our food. I asked if there was any juice for kids (the 2 year old) - the dark haired girl working said âonly what weâve got in the fridgeâ. I said âdonât you have any orange juice or anything like that?â The reply being - âonly what weâve got in the fridgeâ which was those pretentious glass bottles of 1930âs fizzy pop (the brand that does stuff like dandelion and burdock). I bought two bottles of âOrange and Mandarinâ thinking they werenât fizzy. They were. More fool me. Basically Tory Fanta. Anyway. I went and sat down with my older daughters and my 2 year old son. My daughters ordered avocado on toast with salmon. I had a full English being the uncouth soul that I am. I asked if they have a kids menu for my 2 year old. The answer was no. I ordered him beans, one sausage and some scrambled eggs. I was told this could be done from the side menu, that alone cost ÂŁ7.50. The beans, sausage and eggs came out on the same plate as one of my daughters breakfast. We had to guess that was the case (not mastermind but still ridiculously daft that theyâd do this) we had to ask for a plate for my 2 year old who was in a high chair. Anyway. Another family came in about the same time as us. Low and behold another of their staff bought out two huge glasses of orange juice for them. So they did have other drinks available. My full English was ok, but it wasnât great. The bacon was burned. It wasnât crispy like the menu says. It was burned. So if the proprietor/owner wants to reply to this with a clever comment. The bacon was burned. Also, the poached eggs were COLD. And I donât mean not quite warm, they were cold. We were the first people in, the place wasnât busy and somehow I was served cold poached eggs. Iâve re read through the menu tonight before writing this review. Whenever I choose a place to eat again Iâm always going to look for the word âArtisanâ because that to me, on the whole means not very good. The âArtisanâ toast I received was just sliced bread, but toasted. They even claim to have an âArtisanâ Brioche bun If you look up the definition of âArtisanâ in the dictionary it says. a person or company that produces something (such as cheese or wine) in limited quantities often using traditional methods âoften used before another noun artisan breads I donât think that you can claim that obviously pre sliced bread or even a Brioche Bun is âArtisanâ. Thereâs too many mediocre cafes/restaurants who have latched onto this word and used it. The company website claims âWe focus on quality and sustainability above all, which extends to everything we do. From our suppliers to takeaway packaging, we carefully select each element keeping you and the planet in mind. We support local, and well-being of the community is at the heart of what we do.â This is nonsense. My daughters asked for some tap water, they were pointed towards one of those fancy upside down glass water bottles, and plastic cups, plastic lids. Lots of plastic. They had paper straws. I donât know about you, but if you want to be really sustainable, if someone asks for tap water, give them a glass of tap water in a glass. Zero plastic, zero waste. To finish up. Pros - pretty pattern on the coffee. Cons - Really incredibly gormless staff; bad cook who canât even cook bacon or keep a poached egg warm; rude; not child friendly as no kids menu even at weekends/bank holidays (although there was a couple of high chairs). As you can imagine I will never be going back to this place. Iâve given them two stars because my daughter liked the swirly pattern on the top of her Flat White.

A great place we stumbled on after the fireworks at the castle. The reedley hallows beer went down very very well. We had a nibbles selection amazing value at 4 small plates for ÂŁ20. I had lamb rump for main and my wife had ahicken Kiev which she thoroughly enjoyed. No room for a pud, hopefully next time. Very attentive service, great food and reasonably priced. Will defo return very soon.

Walked in after a 4 hour drive today, didn't know the place, never seen it before and just wanted a drink before driving again. The woman at the bar was super unhelpful and scowled at me the whole way through me ordering our drinks, for ÂŁ16.40 for two pints i would have expected at least friendly service. I get it I was not in suit but does that deserve to be scowled at and made to feel super unwelcome. We finished our drinks and got the hell out of there as quick as we could. Will never return and have already told my wealthier friends and family not to attend this place

Booked for my daughter's baby shower - 5 adults and 3 children.... beautiful venue but young, inexperienced staff, who, whilst very willing forgot drinks, had to be chased up to clear table, didn't ask if everything was ok or if we wanted more drinks. We pre-ordered afternoon tea which took forever to come and when it did the sandwiches had obviously been sat for some time as they were not fresh. No teaspoons provided for the dessert which needed a spoon. VERY slow service. It cannot be blamed on being busy either as there was only 2 other tables taken with a total of 5 other people dining so poor, slow service cannot even be blamed on that. After the visit 4 of the adults were ill, as this was the only common factor, we have contacted Mitton Hall but.... guess what?!.... no response!! Seems like they are only interested in getting the bookings in (especially from overpriced weddings).

We visited on a busy lunch time to our favorite place taking my brother and his wife Apart from the lovely setting by the river, this is an extremely well run pub/restaurant. The staff are sooo professional, friendly and attentive, nothing is too much trouble even when they are busy, water & treats for the doggies. We had steak sandwiches and fish and chips. The batter on the fish was like tempura batter it was sooo light and the fish was enormous. No small portions here! My brother and I had the steak sarnies.... Rump steak sandwich, Dijon tarragon mayonnaise, onions and fries - you must try them, so unbelievably tender!. I can be hyper critical when food is not up to scratch, but credit where credit is due, service and quality was faultless , thank you to the Aspinall Arms Crew x

Dirty. Bins overflowing. Unclean, unwiped tables. Lots of staff milling around with no apparent direction. No milkshakes available. Customers being told there was a 10 minute wait for some foods. Just awful. Of particularly busy eitherâŠ..just after 11 on a Friday morning! Not the usual clean fast food outlet youâd expect. Someone needs to get a grip!
