We visited on a busy lunch time to our favorite place taking my brother and his wife Apart from the lovely setting by the river, this is an extremely well run pub/restaurant. The staff are sooo professional, friendly and attentive, nothing is too much trouble even when they are busy, water & treats for the doggies. We had steak sandwiches and fish and chips. The batter on the fish was like tempura batter it was sooo light and the fish was enormous. No small portions here! My brother and I had the steak sarnies.... Rump steak sandwich, Dijon tarragon mayonnaise, onions and fries - you must try them, so unbelievably tender!. I can be hyper critical when food is not up to scratch, but credit where credit is due, service and quality was faultless , thank you to the Aspinall Arms Crew x

We visited the Aspinall last night (3/0924). Through many years we have had mixed experiences, but because the previous meal a few weeks ago was so good we decided to return. To get to the point every thing was great except the 2 so called Black Angus Rib Eye steaks. The were very tough. I brought this to the attention of 2 members of staff and they apologised and offered to take them back. I elected to not do that as I think it disrupts the whole evening. There were three of us so one would be left still eating alone. With hindsight I should have sent them back. When I paid the bill there was no mention of the meal and no offer to make amends or adjust the bill of £120, with the 2 steaks representing half of that at £29 each. I shy away from confrontation and usually just don't return to places that let me down, but I think I should have made more fuss in this case. We regularly eat steak at home from various sources, with some of the better ones being Tesco and Aldi their 35 day aged Aberdeen Angus Rib Eye at under £6 each are consistently good. Whoever is doing the buying for the Aspinall is obviously not very experienced at sourcing good quality meat from their butcher as what we had was hardly aged and questionable as to being rib eye. I should also mention I am a chef of many years experience.

Let me start with the positives, the Aspinall Arms is lovely, inside out. The out door area by the river is one of the nicest around, very large and well kept. Inside the bar is very nice, and the general decor is impressive in the dining areas. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Now the negatives. The food was very disappointing to put it mildly. The great pub classic fish and chips was extremely poor, the fish being a pre-cooked catering style fillet. No way was this freshly battered. At around £17, I expected a freshly battered fish. Not great. The chips were of the same ilk. Everything smacked of low budget pub food, at premium price. My partners meal was similar. Sadly, for that reason I am unlikely to return, despite it being a fantastic place to sit outside on a sunny afternoon.

Busy Sunday tea time. Smoked salmon and mousse was one of the starters. The mousse was a solid block. When they collected the plates the waitress dutifully asked if all was alright. We explained the mousse was poor and inedible. She said sorry One of the main courses was cheese pie. This was very poor. 98% pastry. A very good pastry but no filling. The waitress again asked. We replied but with great detail. She said sorry and went away and that was it. We said this would rate 5 out of 10 What needs to happen for someone to follow this up !!

I have been here a few times in the past 12 months to take lunch with an old workmate and once again the Aspinall Arms did not fail me. Each time I have been here it has been glorious weather and yesterday was the same. The staff of which there are plenty are all very attentive and well presented. We were met by I think the maitre de and we had a choice of where we would like to sit. Our drinks order was taken and soon appeared. It was only a short wait before our food order was placed before us and it was so very tasty. I had made a good choice. My meal was a steak sandwich and I mean prope steak. The place appeared to get busier and as its a dog Fri venue thete was a great selection of dogs on show. Yes this place is a gem and I will certainly be returning

So arrived and welcomed straight away, we’d booked a table as it’s always busy. Bank holiday so the pub had booked acts , singers, bands plus an outside space to eat bratwurst. An addition was two young ladies drawing you…, such fun God didn’t help today as it rained, but didn’t dampen the day. I personally had the quiche which was yummy. Hubby had fish and chips which he said was really good. Great effort by management and staff. The thing is a building is a building without good staff it will never work. Amazing day Happy customers Great position xxx

Impromptu, first time, call in for refreshments and a light lunch before setting off on a walk. The staff were very welcoming and found us a spot by the fire. They made a fuss of our dog and gave him a treat and a water bowl. The coffee was perfect and served with a piece of delicious homemade flapjack. The food was expectional, the lancashire cheese and leek quiche just full of flavour and perfect pastry and the bang bang cauliflower was to die for. The Aspinall Arms is welcoming, elegant and a real gem, with fabulous views. Will definitely visit again.

What a lovely find. Gorgeous pub, fabulous setting and really friendly staff. Sunday lunch not the best we've had in the area BUT the ambiance and setting made up for it. We've said we'll come back mid week to try other menu choices and if that works out...it might go to No1 in our 'top pubs in Lancashire' chart!"🤣

The food was great, and the woman who served us at our table really looked after us, guiding us knowledgably through their wines and beers, and taking the time to check we were enjoying our drinks, and our food. Wonderful views over the river, too. Really super - we'll be back again

Went for Mothers Day. Booked a table for 12.45 for 2 hours. Mum took so long to get ready, we were 15 mins late. We rang to tell them ahead of time. They gave away our table and had to sit near a draughty doorway. Took an age to be served. Not impressed at all with the offerings. Had lamb, which was really fatty and chewy, Mum had beef with gristle and Daughter had chicken. Been loads of times and it's always been excellent. When they came to take our order, we were told they were only taking 2 or 3 courses today. When we came to pay, I had a "choice" of adding 15, 20 or 25% onto my bill. Never been presented with this before. Not sure if this is going to be a regular thing going forward, but unsure if I'll be visiting again after this anyway. On the positive side, bar staff were absolutely wonderful

Nearly went down to 4* because we had to wait quite a while for our main meals BUT the food was sooo good and the pub & setting are so picturesque, I can't help but give 5 stars! The chicken paté is the best I've ever eaten and there was actually enough bread to go with it. :') It's quite a small menu which is always encouraging for quality food! What a fantastic place to eat, the food and service was excellent. Great choice of food on the menu. We had: beetroot cured salmon, followed by Pan fried chicken. Additionally, the views of the river and surrounding area were fantastic, coupled with history guide the pub produced: very informative. I visit here with friends once a month for lunch, only because its a half way place to meet, has good parking and a nice dining room. Such a shame the vegan options compared to omnivore dishes are always so small especially lately.. Last month the courgette and feta salad was minute for £15.45. This visit I ordered basil gnocchi (£15.95), it was way to small for a main course, more a starter. My friend ordered a light bite of chicken wrap served with coleslaw, salad and fries at £9.95 which was way more substantial and hearty that what I had. The gnocchi dish was delicious but why or why do they think we vegans have small appetites, do they think we are on a diet we are being charged a premium for hardly anything, my friends small fish and chips at £14.45 was much more substantial too... I gave feed back to two staff members, one said 'I'll tell the chef' and the others reply was 'I thought it was a healthy portion'... well I didn't think it was a healthy portion at all. My husband based on my experience won't visit due to how small the vegan options are and the prices they charge but if they upped the ante, we'd visit more often and with friends. If vegan options don't sell well, I imagine they will be removed and less options will be offered blaming it on a decline on vegan sales. What they need to do is make the vegan portions on a par with other dishes and feed us properly. I certainly didn't feel like I was well fed or had value for money.

We have eaten several times here and always enjoyed our meal. Last night, Valentines Day was not so good. We both had the soup to start, this had to be sent back because it was almost cold. The bread roll on the other hand was so hot it could not be handled. When eventually cut and the steam had gone, only the top half was soft, the bottom was like a rock as if overcooked in a microwave. For mains, I had the cod and chips. The chips was extremely greasy as was the fish. The peas were congealed on the plate as it was hot. The fat smelt awfull. My wife had the lamb. This was good but the new potatoes also smelt of fat. Overall a poor experience on what is always a special night for us.I don't know what went wrong, but something certainly did.

Grumpy staff who don’t enjoy their jobs and very average ready meal quality food that was both overcooked and at the same time cold. The steak was very tough and when mentioned I was told nobody else had complained and with a big sigh they asked if I wanted it sent back. I didn’t I really just wanted to get the ordeal over and done with. Such a shame as the setting is lovely.

Me and my partner visited the Aspinall Arms 7/9/21, we booked very late in the day but we were delighted to get a table. we were very lucky as when we got there they were full! we arrived a little early, but were offered drinks and to go sit out in the garden until our table was available. the garden is gorgeous, right by there river and very peaceful with ample socially distanced seating. when our table was available we were seated by Suzanne, ( we later found out she is the landlady, and really really lovely! the perfect host!) we both had a starter and main, i opted for the baby squid, i urge you to do the same, if seafood is not your thing take my girlfriends recommendation and get the halloumi fries! ( best she has had by all accounts!) Mains, i had the seabass with Miso, absolutely delicious and well balanced. Lucy opted for the chicken burger, again the same, gorgeous! if you are in the area, please pop by and pay Suzanne and her wonderful team a visit! they all work so very hard to ensure you the best possible experience and that certainly came through last night! well done team! we hope to me back on our next trip to Clitheroe! and thank you for the recommendations of other places to eat too. Seemed like we were out of sight out of mind, took 20 mins before our drinks purser was taken. The waitress was quite abrupt and would only serve from the doorway - she wouldn’t serve individuals demanding we passed everything around the table ourselves. The food was overpriced - 4 x 2cm square pieces of belly pork £7!! Food was cold, had obviously been kept warm as was hard also. Very disappointed and won’t be rushing back. Heard rave reviews about this pub and was warned to prebook. Called ahead to book a table, as we were celebrating & we were walking so wanted to ensure some availability for food. Was informed no booking necessary for outside tables. Fair enough as we wanted to enjoy the beautiful views and sunshine. Walked across the fields, an hour to the pub. On arrival - No food tables were available, no option to wait or book in later- should have called to book! Was told that the phone number goes through to the brewery - Who appear not to understand how the pub works. Despite it’s beautiful location, gorgeous garden and friendly staff, this pub left us disappointed and frustrated. It’s clearly a local gem. If the phone number on your webpage is incorrect, change it? If the brewery don’t understand how you operate, update them, and if customers are frustrated at those last two points own it, and take responsibility for not playing an active part in the effective organisation and running of your pub?

The ice cream was very disappointing though size wise. I had only ordered one scoop but I think they must have used a melon baller rather than an ice creams scoop because it was so small and not worth the money. Service was mixed. What a let down to our Daughter’s birthday party, we were all excited about getting together with family at last. The table was booked well in advance for 10 people, when we arrived their was a party of 4 and 2 other couples, the 4 got seated after 5 minutes, the first couple got seated 5 minutes later and the other couple just walked out. We were stood at the bar for a good 10 minutes awaiting to be seated and hopefully get a drink, a man with a beard took the name for the booking and said he would place 2 tablets together and in the meantime get a drink at the bar, another good 5 minutes went and still no drink. When he came back to show us to our tables, I mentioned we still haven’t been served at the bar for a drinks order, he replied I will be straight back to take your order, and 10/15 minutes went by and nobody came for our order, we could see outside that a waitress and waiter was stood outside waiting to serve customers. I then went to the bar again to try and order some drinks and waitress asked me if she could help, I said that would be nice and told her where we were sitting ( forgotten room ) again another good 10 minutes went by. Then another friendly waitress came and said sorry for the delay we have just swopped over shifts can I take your food order, we all looked at her and said we would like to have a drink first. Once we got our drinks after a very long wait she took our food order, I asked for some more drinks again nobody came for the drinks order. When the food arrived I asked if could have another drink, yet another 10 minutes before the drinks came. All the food was very good and plentiful but the drink service was very slow to say the least, and all this time the waitress and waiter were still outside. In an establishment like this we would have thought that they would have a overlooked to make sure everything is running smoothly and unfortunately we sat in conservatory at the back and was totally forgotten.

Sales prevention pubOur trip to the Aspinall Arms at Mitton this evening was less than satisfactory. We have been here many times the place was well run the staff pleasant and efficient; however for what ever reason their systems in place since COVID are very anti- customer.1. In the very place where you could eat, out in the open on the picnic table, no food service is available2. You have to order your drink outside in the garden on the website app from the picnic table where the internet connection is half baked3. Ourselves and two other couples tried as advised to order drinks and the dreaded circle spinning round was what we were faced with4. However of the two drinks that we were eventually placed with great difficulty …. Only one went through. So husband had to then go into the bar to explain, where they said yes it did tend to do this. Another drink then had to be ordered over the bar!We spoke to the other two parties and they didn’t get one drink ordered and had to go to the bar for them. I was unable to speak to the manager as they were not available. So we walked 5 minutes down the road and had a meal and drinks at James Place - Mitton Country Hotel where no such sales prevention systems were in place outside on their very beautiful terrace! – Try it Come on this pub/restaurant is cashing in on doing as little as possible due to COVID - do the investors know this?!Thank goodness the Three Fishes is due to open! Can’t come soon enough.

Superb scenery aside, this is a great country pub. Was very impressed from the moment I arrived (Sunday 27th) at the covid precautions (One way systems and full table service) if only Boris took the pandemic as seriously as the Asspinall arms. Very reassuring with everything going on that we would be dining safely. Covid measures explained clearly, as we were walked to our seats.Sat outside for a tasty Sunday roast. 2 young lads, running a tight ship outside, both very friendly with the customers and refreshingly, very friendly with each other. Food, sauces and drinks were brought quickly and we weren’t chasing after someone to take our orders like you are in some places. Very glad I didn’t order starters as they were not needed. Didn’t have room for pudding, but those of the diners nearby looked delicious. Can’t wait to come back for another Sunday lunch, a true gem - Andrew.

Nice location & pub ruined by the front of house rudeness from the male manager, Overzealous, officious and aggressive attitude . This experience felt more like a prison visit than a visit to a country pub, Hiding behind the guise of Covid is not an excuse to be rude to your customers, he will know what I mean if he reads this , change your attitude or change your career perhaps the prison service or border control would be more Suitable?

My first review on TripAdvisor and it’s a very positive one!!Popped in for a meal on Friday 25th June. Didn’t book, as we wanted to eat outside, but the weather was naff (Lancastrian weather- need I say more?) so we ate inside instead. The food is fantastic and the portions are huge- you’re paying for quality and quantity so don’t let the price tag put you off.Service was outstanding from the young man who served us (Server: Pope on the bill). He recommended the Malaysian curry to my wife who adored it. So polite!! Atmosphere and location couldn’t be better. All in all, we had a great time. 5 stars thoroughly deserved.

This is in a lovely part of the Ribble Valley situated not far from Whalley. The setting is excellent just by the river. As you arrive there is plenty of parking. Covid does understandably impact of your freedom to come and go as you please with a one way system in place to protect visitor. The welcome was good and helpful. The table settings provide plenty of room.Service is good and friendly. The menu is sufficient albeit not a full as others I have seen. Food quality was of a good standard with portions of a good size. The price point is what you would expect for this type of restaurant. We took elderly parents with us for a first trip out in some time. The Aspinall team couldn’t have been more helpful to ensure our time there was a pleasant one; thanks to allWould go again

We went today for lunch on sunny day and expected to be able to sit outside but was told no food being served outside. Cannot understand this as there was an abundance of staff. The person that greeted us and informed us was very blunt bordering on rude. The food was okish but won't be back as we didn't want to sit inside as didn't a few that left whist we were there.

We have visited several times before the current Covid situation and always had a great experience. This time the night started badly with one of us forgetting to bring a mask, after explaining the situation they allowed us in with the use of one of their masks. The service was, efficient, polite and upbeat. The drinks were exceptionally good. The two dishes of Roast Beef and Ham and something pie were very good. Prices were very reasonable. Will be back soon.

We visited today & was told our booked table could no longer be outside due to short staffed... OKThe the waiter kept forgetting drinks / left to wait for long periods of time. The starters were tiny & the quality of food was NOT acceptable for the price.. The mains were very poor quality burger was dry & bacon not cooked properly, Sunday dinner beef was dry & chewy impossible to cut with the knife provided & the steak sandwich my dad ordered come very rare we asked if he could have it more well done plz & was told NO SORRY! Which is absolutely unacceptable!!!!!How dare they charge us that kind of money & not cook this food to my dads liking so he can actually eat it. This ended up not being touched as he couldn’t eat it like this but was charged almost £15.00 for it. Again more drinks were ordered this time with the manager & again there was drinks missing & we kept having to remind them. Puddings was alright just not very good portions for the £6.95 charged. The waiter was the ONLY good thing about this visit he was extremely polite & very professional at all times. Shame about the food, we were given some kind of discount vouchers at the end of the meal which again was a JOKE because not one of us was happy &Would never return to this place even if it was FREE. £180+ and not one of us was happy & my dad had to get summit on the way home for his tea is sooooooUnacceptable!

After booking a table we were very disappointed to be in a long queue to enter the restaurant. The check in and Covid rules explanation seemed a bit over the top.The food was nice, but I thought quite overpriced as it was nothing special. Coffees took a long time to arrive and the place did seem understaffed. A lovely place to sit outside with a drink by the river, but I wouldn’t bother eating there again.

Booked a table on line in Feb. Asked for a specific table near to the bar. Arrived and it was chaos. Large crowd outside, no organisation, some had booked some walk ins. Waited 20 min past our booking time to get in with elderly mum. Was told our table wasn't available. Stuck in back room..... interestingly half the tables were empty. It took 15 min to get a drink order in and another 15 min to get the drinks. My original booked table had been empty this whole time, but we couldn't move! Ordered food , waited another 20min. Then my husband received a small order of fish and chips when large was ordered. Ordered drinks at start of meal.... by the time we had eaten some 20 min later still no drinks. I went to find a waitress and after another 10 min the drinks arrived. Then another 20 min wait for desserts. When I tracked down a waitress to get the bill they had cheekily charged for a large fish and chips some £4 different. We had looked forward like everyone else to getting into a pub, but this was disappointing. On Facebook, the aspinal Arms has been complaining people are not turning up.... maybe they got fed up of waiting outside???? Or maybe they heard about the extremely poor customer service. The day would have been better spent having a bbq in the garden. Sorry but as a long term customer we won't be rushing back whilst you get your act together.

Was really looking forward to celebrating our anniversary here, but it was very disappointing. I asked if I could have the salmon tortellini starter as a main course - I was charged double the price of the starter (£16.95) for just four pieces of tortellini from a packet, not even homemade, and it wasn’t cooked very well either - I’ve had nicer tortellini from the supermarket. Overall, average food at inflated prices. Shame because the restaurant is in a lovely location, but won’t be rushing back. Also, considering the strict Covid precautions as you enter, I’m surprised they put a bottle of ketchup up on the table for my husband’s chips, which would have been handled by other customers.

The first thing you notice when you visit The Aspinall is the Covid 19 procedures in place, they put other places in the area to shame. Check in at the door for track and trace, hand sanitiser available at the door, all staff wearing either masks or visors. Their Covid 19 procedures are explained to you as you are shown to your table and menus are on paper and disposed of after each customer. If you have an allergy and mention it at check in you are given a menu showing all the allergens, with reassurances that food is cooked separately to avoid cross contamination.Went with two friends and we had a lovely lunch sat on a well spaced table and service was very good too. The vegan mushroom pie, new potatoes, vegetables and gravy was substantial and delicious. My friends quiche and a fish and chips were also given the big thumbs up.It would be nice to have a few more vegan options, as I visit regularly and the choice is a little limited. Overall though a great place to visit.

Been going to the aspinall for years, love the food and most of the staff, however the new male manager there speaks to the customers in a very condescending manner. Same goes for the Scottish guy who showed us to our table, he seemed angry at us before we had even said hello. I understand there has to be covid rules but he made the welcome so strict and unenjoyable it set a bad tone for the rest of the meal. Won’t be going back as long as that manager is in charge. Shame because like I said the rest of the staff were lovely.

The pub was a little busy and there was a short wait for a table. The host was helpful and found us a picnic table outside, provided a mask for my partner who had forgot his. Masks were only required inside the pub when visiting the toilets. It was very clean, staff were friendly. A QR code system is in place for service, which i hadn't used before but the host explained how to use and it worked well. A great little stop on a long walk. We had some cheesy garlic bread too which was amazing.

Been back after lockdown, pity nothing changes, food good but well overpriced for what you get, service is awful, asked 3 times for drinks and ended up going to the bar to ask for them, besides the 15 minute queue to get inSat in the shade outside, asked for outside in the sun seating, was told no as they would have to reclean the tables due to COVID even though half were empty, spoke to manager at the bar who said - need to speak outside even with a mask on, said he would let me know, nothing, so slow, left after mains as so disappointed with attitude of the place, over priced for poor service

Visited for first outing after lockdown and was really looking forward to it. Food was good, better than pre lockdown in my opinion. The ladies who served us were very pleasant and service was prompt. However, was sat outside on the terrace. There weren't any no smoking signs anywhere, tables all around me unoccupied, and I picked up my e-cigarette. The male staff member who I assume was a manager, strode over and said in a very loud voice that no smoking of any kind was allowed on the terrace at any time. He said you can go stand over there on the grass! Other people looked round at me, I found the whole thing humiliating to be spoken to in such a rude manner in front of everyone like some child, and it did ruin the evening for me. I'm not objecting to if that's the rules and apologised to him but found him to have a very condescending attitude. Have never been told this wasn't allowed outside before after all the times I have visited and have been a regular customer over the years. Maybe some signage would be helpful and a more polite attitude when speaking to paying diners wouldn't go amiss.

We visited the Aspinall after a long local dog walk. We waited around 10 minutes at the front door, so unsure of what the procedure was we walked towards to the bar. Immediately a man came running over shouting at us to 'step back' I was quite shocked at the first impression we received. We stepped back towards the door and check in area. When asked if we had booked a table, our reply was no, the chap then pulled his face at us, baring in mind there was a lot of picnic benches free when we drove past. We were then asked if we wanted food, which we said yes, to be then told 'well the kitchen closes in 30 minutes so you better hurry up'!!! We were then asked if all the dogs were ours and got a very filthy look, sigh and glare when we replied yes. 5 dogs between 3 friends in a dog friendly pub, isn't uncommon? Surely?! We sat down ordered and to be honest the food and waiters who attended our table were excellent. We were still a little shocked by the attitude the male staff member presumably a manager who had originally greeted us. We all felt very let down by this as never have we experienced a staff member with such an attitude problem and we all live locally and have previously visited regularly.

Perfect in every way.... flawless. Visited today with my Mum and husband (we are in a bubble together) From being greeted at the door, felt safe and the place is very COVID friendly.Service was fantastic and we were really well looked after by our waitress. The food was delicious. I had warm crispy beef to start and lamb shoulder for the main. The lamb shoulder was cooked to perfection and was the nicest I have ever had! Veg all really fresh. Shared the chocolate brownie with my husband. My mum and husband were as complimentary about their food. My Mum was pleased she could have a small portion of fish and chips as a “lighter bite” option as often, portions are too large for her.We were made to feel really welcome. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely return. Beautiful surroundings too by the river.

Visited here again recently as we were in the area so decided to go for lunch, upon entry there was a young girl who did great job of taking all our track and trace info and showing us what they had in place for the virus which was all spot on, unfortunately after this it wasn't great, no issues in the ordering of food and drink but they did forget our cutlery, as the food came out and we had to ask for some as did the table behind us. I had a steak burger which at 13.95 should have been much better, very very dry and it says on the menu it comes with fries, it didn't it came with huge chunky chips which were under cooked and hard, my wife had the rump steak sandwich which to be fair came out nicely cooked and a good portion size, but again skin on fries are supposed to accommodate it, they didn't, again huge undercooked chips, all in all I dont think we'll visit again on this basis, maybe I should have said something but I didn't want to embarrass anyone on the day.

Wow! What a superb setting, menu, quality of food, Covid 19 precautions and staff! This evening’s visit was well on the way to a 5 star review until we came to desserts. I ordered a cheese board and then the waitress came back to say no cheese... totally unacceptable at 5.30 on a Monday evening and then my second choice of a mini creme brûlée was also unavailable.I know this might seem a little pedantic but it really took the edge off what was a really excellent experience. Please up your game and ensure customers are told before they order if something is unavailable! The Aspinall Arms has always been a favourite place of ours for a midweek night out. Post-lockdown however, things haven't just quite been the same and we were wondering whether the chef and the bar manager might have changed. On two occasions, food chosen was simply not quite up there and lacked something - slightly undercooked lukewarm steak, burger flavourless, or choices unavailable in the first place. They no longer have the same previously excellent choice of dark beer / bitter which was quite a pull. And finally, last night they were out of sparkling water. There really isn't any excuse for that...

Walked in after a 4 hour drive today, didn't know the place, never seen it before and just wanted a drink before driving again. The woman at the bar was super unhelpful and scowled at me the whole way through me ordering our drinks, for £16.40 for two pints i would have expected at least friendly service. I get it I was not in suit but does that deserve to be scowled at and made to feel super unwelcome. We finished our drinks and got the hell out of there as quick as we could. Will never return and have already told my wealthier friends and family not to attend this place

We had a pleasant lunch at The Btown Cow. The dining room was pleasant if a little dark, however its an old building so that's OK. Very pleasant young waiter. The menu is quite big and it's very varied, something for everyone. I had vegetarian Toad In The Hole, excellent , well presented and delicious. Husband chose the open beef sandwich, which unfortunately wasn't as good. The baguette was tough and the steak was "not the best". Our coffee at the end of the meal was really just froth!! However, it was clean and comfortable, a very pleasant young waiter and the loos were spotless.
