Awesome Indian restaurant in the village. Food was amazing and service was very friendly. The location was great within the village, parking is on the street or co-op (pay and display). It's quite an intimate venue, the way it's all set up in like booths so the atmosphere wasn't as good (when we visited) but I would highly recommend it. We shall no doubt be using this place as a takeaway too

Whilst on a mini break @ a local hotel here, we stopped here for dinner on New Year’s Day. The place has a cosy feel to it and the staff are friendly and attentive. We had a pickle tray first with our drinks and then waited just the right amount time for our main. It was all freshly cooked and delicious. We had the Samba?, chicken Biriani and Lamb rogan Josh. If in the area again, we’ll definitely call again.

My wife and I have used Trishna for many years but not as often as I'd like. I have been a customer even when my parents took me as a young boy (I'm 51!) We ordered drinks, poppadoms and mains yesterday evening. I had the Chicken Tikka Naga (extra hot please) and my wife the Chicken Madras. Chilli rice and chapattis. The service, staff and attention to detail was excellent. The food was absolutely fantastic! 😍 The best Naga dish I've had. Thanks guys, and see you soon (including take-away) 😁

Really rude, entitled attitude by staff. I know that the business has been there a while but there is a ‘customer is always wrong’ attitude that isn’t great when you’re providing a service. Take away took 50mins to arrive and despite calling where the phone was put down on me and I was then told after getting through that I was being ‘dramatic’- it’s safe to say I won’t go there again.

Having read many reviews, we weren't sure what to expect, but our experience couldn't have been better. From efficient, attentive and pleasant staff to a meal that was varied in flavour and generous in portion size, the evening was near to perfect. Tiny cute shop from the outside but once inside, the place goes back and back. Were made to feel very very welcome with the waiting staff very keen to make sure we got what we wanted even if it wasn't on the menu. The decor is rustic in a sort of Indian version of Thai street food and thi s added to the ambience. Then the bill came! AMAZING!!!! Really great value for money, we couldn't believe our luck. The waiter gave my daughter a lolly at the end so I complained and he gave me one too which made me very happy. Will definy be going back.

Well as locals we went to the Trishna with trepidation last night the 18th April 2022 after our last visit. All I can say the service was good but not very busy everything but the main chicken dish I thought was nice but we ordered 3 chicken tikka pieces main course we did make comment in the restaurant as to the portion size which was very disappointing honestly a third of the portion we get as a takeaway from another local Indian takeaway. They did offer to bring additional chicken but we declined the offer as by the time you get this you've finished the meal. Trishna you need to get your act together sorry. Visited this restaurant on a weekend break and was recommended to us by a local pub. Can only say was extremely disappointed. We had a mixed starter which consisted of a Sheesh kebab onion bargi and something else that basically just looked and tasted like a typical beef burger. Over cooked and tasteless. The bargi was like a ball of batter with hardley any sign or taste of onion. The main meal afterwards didn't get any better had 2 different curries but couldn't tell the difference in taste between the two. Bland boring and tasteless. The only positive we could say is that the staff was extremely friendly.

Accidentally left my bank card and instead of keeping it safe and waiting for me to collect, the card was used twice to attempt to buy from Argos and Foot Asylum for nearly £400. Fortunately my bank contacted me before authorising the transaction and I blocked it. Was definitely left in the restaurant as they confirmed they had my card when I called, after the attempted theft. EDIT. PROOF in writing and verbally via phone call of timeline of events on the Trishna Facebook event. No doubt the attempted theft came from within the restaurant, or at least someone broke in and used the left cards. Read the other reviews, especially their replies, before deciding if you want to dine in this establishment.

There is no need to get personal, poor reviews are just as important as good ones and should be looked upon as an opportunity to make improvements. I think you are missing the point here, it is a customers right to withhold payment for goods or services which fall below expected standards, I think you need to look closer to home for somebody to blame. We have just eaten at the Royal Taj in Langho, what an amazing experience, customer service was first class and am sure some of your "Trishna Team" would benefit from spending time with them to learn about how to treat customers who wish to experience a relaxing meal out with their family. By far the best Indian Restaurant in the area. I would like to think that you would have the decency to alter your reply and tell the truth. Its quite clear that whoever is writing the replies wasn't present at the time and is clearly responding to hearsay. Reading your previous reviews it is clear that we are not the only group of people who have been threatened by yourselves for exercising our consumer rights. If goods or services are below standard the customer can lawfully refuse to pay, how you decide to deal with the situation is something that needs to be improved as choosing to simply lock the door and become aggressive towards the customers is not acceptable. Please do not fall short of telling the truth if you have to post a reply, if you can't tell the truth then it's best not to say anything, we all know what really happened on that dreadful night in the Trishna.

New Year's Eve is predictably a busy night but an experienced restaurateur should be prepared to manage the situation in an appropriate way. We booked a table that afternoon for 8:15pm, but upon arrival, it was clear that the restaurant was too busy for them to cope. Bizarrely they were also still accepting "walk ins" rather than simply saying, "Sorry, we're fully booked tonight". Some of these were even seated before us and we only got shown to a table at 9:30pm. After a simple starter of poppadoms, our main course didn't arrive until after 11pm – we were therefore eating THREE hours after entering the establishment. A bottle of wine was served, but the waiter said he "couldn't be bothered" to get an ice bucket. Water and a soft drink didn't arrive. The staff refused to acknowledge that the service had been unacceptable. They would not even give a cursory 10% discount to the bill. The front doors were locked and threats were made ("do you want to take it outside?") along with flimsy mitigation such as "You could have walked out" and "The staff have been working really hard tonight". Regardless of whether or not it's New Year's Eve, a certain level of service is still expected. Their unprofessional replies to negative reviews (e.g. remarks about customers’ clothes) speak volumes about their handling of challenging situations. EDIT: Inevitably the reply focuses on a voucher rather than responding to the other valid points. We acknowledged it might not be accepted, so made sure when ordering we presented it to the waiter, who took little interest in it and said “Sort it out at the end”. So they were the architects of the scene when they needed a customer to back them up – who laughably claimed to be their “solicitor”. While eccentric, this voucher (with no expiry) was treated like we had chucked curry on the walls rather than an opportunity for good publicity for the restaurant. They arrogantly ripped up my property, while in a parallel world, a Facebook post entitled “Man uses raffle prize… after 18-YEAR wait!” went viral and the story hit the pages of the Clitheroe Advertiser. This restaurant is perfect for dull people who won’t complain about a 3-hour wait, since they’re clearly not prepared to handle maverick customers – let’s hope Ian Botham doesn’t want to dine there!

Very poor evening. Warm drinks as we arrived. Stale poppadoms, a very strange selection of chutneys. (Had to laugh when one of the pots for the poppadoms came with coconut flakes) Starters arrived with more salad and sauce than food. One of which came with a gravy boat full of luminous green 'mint sauce' as he put it. The napkins were dirty. The main meals (curries and rice) were tiny and had little flavour. The madras couldn't have been spicier than a korma! The ceiling above the bar was covered in slug trails. Just generally a bad experience. We were in and out within half an hour. NEVER have i been physically threatened by the owner of a restaurant and his abusive little staff and i eat in restaurants 3-5 days per week...... An absolute disgrace. Having ordered a take away last Saturday evening to discover that the "famous" onion barghi had no sauce or salad with it I called and reported this to the restaurant and agreed that I would yet again go the following day to collect the missing items... obviously this meant we couldn't have our starter with our whole meal. When i arrived the following day to collect the salad and sauce i asked how come there was no complimentary popadomms for my troubles ...only to be responded with a contemptuous..."if you need free popadomms ill get them" by a very arrogant young man.... I didn't need them, but out of courteousy i thought that they'd have offered them. Anyway, i then arranged to meet my daughter and her friend for dinner this evening at 630...to be "greeted" by a barage of abuse by the owner.... who, when i wanted to discuss what had been said to me the on the sunday actually threatenend to "break my legs" if i didn't leave, then subsequently, further verbally abused me and my daughter and again threatened violence whilst outside their property.... What an absolute disgraceful attitude towards someone who had received bad service by his staff, followed by rude service, followed by abusive behaviour ... I'll stick to the Sharjan in future....the foods much better and my limbs don't get threatened at 630 on a Friday evening. BTW, we went for dinner in The Forum 5 doors down from this place and had a great meal with welcoming friendly service ...

THE BEST INDIAN IN EAST LANCASHIRE! This place is very much an Anglo-Indian restaurant located in the heart of Whalley. This restaurant embodies the best mixture of east meets west and this is evident in all aspects of the restaurant from the decor and the very charming staff to the extremely extensive menu which to my surprise offered more non-typical Indian dishes such as pheasant and venison. From the outside this place looked like a very warm and welcoming local village Indian resteraunt. Once I entered the place and became enticed with it's atmosphere, I knew I would certainly return. Certainly, both me and my other half were not dissatisfied in any way with our food drinks, as I opted for a very tasty tandoori chicken starter and beautifully made Thali for my main, with a refreshing kingfisher beer to wash it down. My other half played it safe, ordering onion bhajis and a chicken Korma which she said was creamy, tasteful and had incredible texture and chose a bottle of rioja as her drink. The staff were all friendly and very welcoming making it a very pleasant experience and I will certainly be back for more soon. Highly recommended!

Food cold on arrival, egg fried rice?No egg to be seen. Dark and had no taste. Seems its been stood for a while or reheated? Sweet and sour chicken. So tough the chicken pieces were impossible to cut with a knife. Sweet and sour sauce tasted like boiled sugar. Just two weary looking pieces of green pepper in there too. A very disappointing experience, never again!! A complete waste of money as its inedible and 99% has been binned.
