The food was nothing to write home about, some for this was good other food was poor. The chicken burger was good but the gammon was very poor and such a small portion. The lite bite fish was far better than this and cheaper, the stew and dumplings was okay my other son said. Would we come back I do not think so no. The pub could do with a makeover. The staff are very nice. The food was expensive for what it was.

The room was clean, modern, and well-maintained, although the carpeting requires replacement. A pleasant surprise was the availability of an ice machine and a guest refrigerator stocked with milk. The swimming pool and its facilities were clean and well-maintained; however, the absence of a jacuzzi is a significant drawback. Breakfast offered a delicious and high-quality selection. The lack of an EV charger in the car park is a major shortcoming

We booked here for New Years Day as a treat with family. I had booked for afternoon tea and when we arrived we were told they were only serving a set menu. We explained the situation and the gentleman serving us spoke to the chef and they agreed to make the festive afternoon tea for us. We waited a little while as everything was made fresh and when it was arrived it was all beautiful! Fresh sandwiches with plenty of filling, warm scones straight from the oven and a selection of yummy cakes. The staff were all attentive without being intrusive and nothing was too much trouble. What a was to great start 2025! A lovely experience from start to finish. We live in the village and we definitely be back. Thanks to the chef and all of the team at the walled garden.

Went tonight for a late tea at about 7pm, place was quiet and the food was served fresh and piping hot in 5 mins. Everything was proper as a chippy should, such a great place to sit in. I had mighty cod chips and peas, fish was so white and lightly battered to perfection. Thank you to all the staff and very pleasant waitress.

My nana went to the restaurant, and had a mushroom dish and the mushrooms were hard. This was the 27th Feb 2025. Later that day, she was throwing up and mushrooms were in it. She called the restaurant the next morning and the lady on the phone was very unprofessional and unhelpful: not listening, no empathy and said it was Covid.

Group of 9 came with us for a pre xmas brunch… never been before and won’t be back. Out of 9 people, 8 people’s poached eggs came rock hard. Hollandaise sauce was like water. Staff unhelpful and stood behind counter eating. Complained before paying to the male manager, he said ‘yeah the Chef must have left the eggs in too long’ no sorry no nothing. Very odd.

I visited this morning the hotel to deliver something to one of the hotel guest where I received an excellent guest or stakeholder services by the reception member called Paul and one girl ambassador or receptionist at the hotel reception. They helped me out of the box which is very admirable. I found an impresive atmosphere and friendly communication between team members which indicates they have received a satisfactory training by the seniors. Hope to see you again one day Thanks M Banatwala

This café has kept up its standards of good, reasonably priced fare. Unfortunately, since Covid it has only operated as a 'takeaway' and is closed at the beginning of the week. Things will get back to normal sometime, in the meantime call in whilst out walking on Beacon Fell. Enjoyed a coffee and a scone in the sunshine.

After a disastrous visit with the worst service I’ve ever experienced I my 66 years, to The Stags Head pub in Goosnargh, I would like to thank The Grapes pub staff for squeezing us in even though it was a very busy Sunday service and saving the day with a delicious Sunday Dinner, served with a smile by pleasant staff… within 5 minutes of placing our order. Well worth more than the Tenner tip. 👍 #wishIwasricher.

I had been looking forward to today’s visit, having heard good reports. It was cold, none of the open fires were lit despite the outside temperature being only 2 degrees. The staff were lovely, helpful and attentive. I opted for fish and chips, the chips were, well, chips! The fish was nice but there was some uncooked batter present which was a little off putting. I doubt if I will visit again

Had intended dining elsewhere, but as they were closed we thought we’d try here instead. Both had the cheese and onion pie, very nice and pleased with our choice. Good portion size so we were filled nicely. Enjoyed a pint of Thwaites Gold too. Definitely worth another visit. Staff were very pleasant and made our young pup very welcome.
