Came in for lunch after a walk. Food was really good and the staff were super friendly. Definitely worth a visit

Been to the Grapes Inn to day after fishing at the Barnsfold fishing the Man at the bar was really nice the locals all spoke to us about football & fishing they were all good people. Gary 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿.

We were staying in the area on holiday and decided to pop in for an evening meal as a family, the service was incredible and the food was delicious. We will definitely be returning next time we’re in the area!!

The staff claimed they couldn't serve us for well over an hour despite a number of empty tables. When I checked the website they could easily accommodate us within a few minutes.

Service with a smile . We called in for a late lunch on the afternoon while passing through . Even though the place looked busy we was greeted by a girl called Meg on arrival who showed us to a table and advised us on ordering . The bar was quick service and food came out within cooking time . Meg came over during our meal and asked how things was and even tried to tempt us to some puddings Well done Meg ☺️

Pizza was burnt, paper on the kebab with no apologies, salad on kebab when asked for no salad, food took ages waited about 1 hour, would not recommend .

What a blessed relief to find our village pub in capable hands. Superb food and service. Sunday roast pork with all the trimmings was flavourful, hot and beautifully seasoned. My plate was empty at the end. Left feeling satisfied and wanting to book again to sample a midweek menu. Looking forward to returning very soon. Well done Goosnargh Grapes 😋

We booked a table for food. Nice to see the pub busy but there was only one girl holding the fort, running the bar, taking out meals, collecting plates etc. This meant the service was extremely slow and certainly wasn’t with a smile. The food arrived after 40 mins or so and it was mediocre pub grub. The fish was over cooked and the gammon was wet (needed to be rested) which meant the whole plate was swimming! Think they need to employ more staff front of house and someone with more cookery skills in the kitchen. Better off at the Stags.

Just inedible frozen blurgh. Reminiscent of school dinners. Feel sorry for the staff having to serve it. Won’t make that mistake again.

Came with my partner for meal. I've had mixed grill and add peppercorn sauce and partner had gammon, both pineapple and eggs. Arrive pipe hot and very good portins! Just beautiful 😋 . Good value and plenty good choice of meuns! Definitely be coming back again!

After a previous good experience we decided to visit again. OMG what an awful experience. We were sat down straight away as they were quiet. Service was shocking, but we made allowances as the young girl seemed to be new. We waited about 40 minutes for our starter, it was basic at best. When the main course came, the chips were soggy and border line raw. My Corn was cold and peas like bullets. No onion rings as stated on the menu. We were asked how it was and gave out honest feedback. At this point I was told I wouldn’t get a refund as I had eaten the meat from the Ribs !! I hadn’t even asked for a discount even thought the food was disgusting. I have never been spoken to like this in a restaurant, it was beyond belief. Needless to say we will not return !!

Visited the Grapes to day for lunch with family. Our party had the rump steaks, my wife had the barbecue chicken and I had the Stilton and mushroom burger. Everyone found the quality and taste of our food to be superb! The waitress who served us was excellent and couldn’t do enough. A perfect example of waitressing perfection. We will definitely be returning soon. Highly recommended.

Called in yesterday for a couple of drinks with my wife and friend yesterday. Only stayed for the one drink. £15.20p for a pint of pendle ale, pint of cider and a vodka and coke. I would call that a bit on the steep side. Don`t think we will bother again. Stay with drinking in the micro pub when we are up there.

We popped into The Grapes in November for lunch, the main door was locked even though it was past the opening time. Eventually after knocking someone let us in. We sat at a table which was sticky and had crumbs on the seating and floor area. The dining area looked like it had not been cleaned from the night before, or a very long time. We had one drink and in that time there were no other customers, due to the lack of cleanliness we decided to leave and eat elsewhere. The next time we visited was around Christmas, once again the pub was empty, we had one drink and left, it all felt really run down and sad. I have visited this pub off and on for over forty years and sadly it has been run into the ground. The smell of drains hits you in the face on entry, the decor and interior are outdated and worn out, it’s dirty and uncomfortable. This pub is in the heart of the village and should be thriving and making a good trade especially as there a few new housing estates being built in the area. I hope this pub gets the renovation it’s crying out for and becomes the goldmine it could be.

The Grapes is a friendly pub next door to Bushell House, a Grade 2 listed Georgian building. My favourite real ale was available. It was well kept and in perfect condition. The young bar man was brilliant and a credit to the pub! We enjoyed it so much, we returned later on and just caught last orders. I will visit again!

Proper country pub. Quiet weeknight pint.

A massive thank you to Nicola and team for looking after the Hutch family so amazingly well at a small family gathering after my Dad's funeral. All of the family really appreciated the great service, loved the pub and can't wait to return.

Lovely pub nice staff good food

Nice rural pub inside and out. Very pleasant landlady. Was very quiet on our visit Friday lunchtime. Not a large varied menu, but very reasonable prices. One fish and chips great chips. Mine 10 oz gammon and chips. Gammon was two slices not a piece which wasn't as juicy as a single piece. Superb cask beer.

Wow! Don't know where to start! Legendary pub! Set in a beautiful area beautiful beer garden and plenty of space for the kids to run and kick a ball! The booze selection is incredible and the food! We arrived for lunch, staff straight away extremely attentive and friendly! My grandma ordered the homemade leek, cheese and potato pie, she said it was beautiful and she would have it again! I had the duck bon bobs, salt and pepper chicken, chips and onion rings, all I can say is wow! Absolutely stunning food all round! It was a lovely day so we sat in the garden at the back, tons of space for family’s or to bring the kiddies! All round a lovely experience and we will be back!

My partner and I visited on Saturday night. We were warmly welcomed offered drinks on arrival. We decided on a few smaller dishes and a pizza to share - it was absolutely divine!! Highly recommend the Duck Bon Bons, Honey Chipolatas, Salt and Pepper Chicken from the small plates, for the pizza we had the Taj Mahal and just wow! Special shout out to the Chees-O’s which were insane! Highly recommend.

A more friendly Pub you couldn't wish to find. The Landlord & Landlady, do everything in their power so's you enjoy whatever it is your there to savour, whether it be a Pint ( Which are all immaculately kept) Food, which is definitely delicious, or a Chat, there's always a friendly soul there. Had the most amazing meal for Valentines Day, the food was fantastic. Sara, Lee and team did a first class job. We were made to feel very welcome, the service and ambience was second to none.

We were attracted to this pub by the Saturday night 2 steaks for £20 deal. 7 of us went and despite a busy time we were served very well indeed. The food portions are generous and the steaks were expertly cooked and very tasty. What this pub may lack is little in the way of ambience but for a family group it was excellent as we could have a conversation without competing with music.

After a number of disappointing visits/meals at this pub, we were surprised to read some very positive reviews. Deciding to give it one last chance, we were not disappointed. Sara’s hospitality was amazing and the food was definitely back to a high standard, the chicken pie was lovely and the fish and chips were the best I have had in a long time. The Grapes Inn is now firmly back on our list of places to go to for great food.

Booked a table for 2 for pizza night, the table was in a lovely area with our names written on a board. The waitress was very friendly and chatty recommended a nice bottle of wine which was very well priced, the new menu was overflowing with amazing sounding dishes, as it was pizza night we had the pizza offer which was 2 for £15 and they came quickly and was amazingly delicious, we followed by having deserts which again were amazing (picture included) didn’t have time to take a pic of the pizza as that was too quickly demolished, staff was very attentive and friendly would definitely recommended to anyone

Quite place for a drink lacking atmosphere

This place was recommended by a friend and wow, it delivered. We stopped by late Sunday afternoon and went for the three course Sunday special. The starters we had were seafood chowder, and the mushroom and asparagus on toast and it was stunning in both presentation and taste. The main course of roast beef was served pink and the vegetables that came out in separate serving dishes were delicious, we finished off the meal with pecan pie that was the best I have had this side of the Atlantic. Both Lee and Sara (landlords) and the other members of staff were so accommodating and friendly that we have decided that even though this place is ten miles from home it is the only place we will go for Sunday dinners in the future.

We went to the grapes for Sunday lunch as a family of 4. 2 had the Gammon roast and both said it was the best Sunday dinner they had had. Starters of Mushroom soup and Calamari were both really good too. The children meals (Gammon roast, and sauassage & Chips) were a really good size for my 2 growing boys (10 & 8). I had the halloumi which was also very nice. For all four of us the bill came to under £60 which was really good value. Will definitely be back soon.
