This café has kept up its standards of good, reasonably priced fare. Unfortunately, since Covid it has only operated as a 'takeaway' and is closed at the beginning of the week. Things will get back to normal sometime, in the meantime call in whilst out walking on Beacon Fell. Enjoyed a coffee and a scone in the sunshine.

Always get a good bacon barm here. Had a change today and had tomato and basil soup and it was delicious. Some lovely recipe books for sale too. Bought the sausage one today and made a yummy tea from it when we got home.

When I go out walking with my friends we always like to have a bite to eat too. Some of us stopped at the cafe before our walk and enjoyed a coffee whilst waiting for other friends to join us. This was very pleasant. All of us returned an hour or two later after our walk and enjoyed hot snacks there - mainly bacon or sausage butties - all very welcome on a cold day! We followed this by having more hot drinks. The service was good as were the food and hot drinks.

There are some negative reviews recently about this cafe - "dogs not allowed inside" etc. I'm all too happy to see the dogs kept outside where they should be, there is plenty of seating for them. Visited once again today after walking from Longridge. Apart from the cyclists, most people have parked 100m away. Blackpool comes to mind. Having walked here the fare on offer is excellent. We had the soup of the day, potato and leek, which was made gluten-free and adapted for a Vegan by not adding the cream. The staff were all too happy to oblige. The Tuna and Cucumber sandwich was as good as anywhere. Lots more choice. A great cafe for this country park.

We had really looked forward to a yomp round the fell and then a treat at the café. Boy how disappointed we were! Firstly the coffees and hot chocolate are from a machine and you help yourself. Even so, it's a whopping £2.40 for a hot beverage. The cakes were all wrapped in cling film. I had the Mars Bar crispy cake which was pretty nasty: I'm sure that no Mars Bars had been used in the making of the cake and it was made with tasteless cooking chocolate. The young lady we paid was very pleasant but with a touch button machine for drinks and cling-filmed cakes, she had very little to do. We won't be back, nor will we recommend the cafe to anyone which is a shame because it was relatively busy. It could be so much more...

We’ve walked around Beacon Fell many times but never eaten in the cafe before. Although small, the seating is well placed and there is further seating outside (dogs also allowed outside, not inside). Excellent food, would visit again if we come without the dog or on a day fine enough to sit outside.

Sandwiches are filling and weĺl presented. The cakes look good. Perfect for a light lunch whilst enjoying the outdoors. Prices are fair.

I came here with friends. We arrived 15 minutes before closing and found the staff to be very unwelcoming to the point of rudeness. We were told that we couldn't have a sandwich because she had cleaned up and we couldn't pay by card because she had tilled up. As we were leaving one of the staff members rudely pointed at our empty packets, cups etc and said "what are you going to do about that?" All in all not a good visit.

Clean and pleasant place to get a snack but the menu is basic and the quality is bog standard, it is however very overpriced for what it is, but I suppose they are able to charge so much due to the location. The wellie swap/ borrow box is a nice idea.

Took dog for a walk and paid visit to cafe afterwards for a cup of coffee and some cake. Wow huge mistake. Staff arrogant and rude, cake wrapped in cling film for so long it was sweatier than a marathon runners arm pit and an over priced HALF cup of coffee which you had to self serve from a machine. Massively overpriced for what it is and extremely poor. Avoid it and take your own picnic or wait till on your way out and visit one of the local pubs spending your money at a place that appreciates it.
