One of the best places I've ever ate.

Spent New Year’s Eve there. The pub wasn’t busy , everyone looked miserable and there was no atmosphere. There was a bit of a fight inside and mostly men .the lady’s toilets are disgusting, no loo roll and needed cleaning

Received an email today with 50% off please check your emails the food was amazing the staff where very helpful was a little wait but truly can say it was worth it, I had the full mixed grill it has to be the best I have had thank you all very much for making us welcome and feel like it is a home comfort

Went for a few drinks with my friend, staff where friendly and the atmosphere was great. I parked at the Black Bull, left my car over night and the following day I had called up as I stayed there past 12 and Dale, the manager kindly helped in extending my parking to avoid a fine and gave me some really helpful information about how to resolve if I do get a ticket. Definitely will be coming back, thank you Dale.

Only 1 more stamp on the loyalty card to go, but will we return? Normally good service and good food. Tonight, however, was a massive disappointment with both. Waited a good hour for the food to arrive, and when it did , only 3 of the 4 meals came together. We must have got the last of a batch of chips as they were barely warm as was the fish. Our daughters meal came 6/7 minutes later and was served hot with fresh chips. Shame the rest couldn't have come at the same time with fresh HOT chips. The waitress offered our daughter an ice cream for waiting, but we never saw her again. Usually customers get asked if everything is OK but on this occasion no staff spoke to any of us or customers on the tables around us. Only 5/10 today.

Quiet day but staff still attentive and food good

Came this morning between 10.30 and 11am and they were closed despite advertising a 10am opening on a Friday

Nice atmosphere, shame the bar staff are unable to recognise who is waiting to be served. The bar has only 3 people waiting and still ignored. It wasn’t like this a few years ago, the good bar staff have long gone..

We had a wonderful time at Brunch with Santa. The whole experience was fantastic. We have a family member who is autistic and the environment was was so calm and relaxing. The staff were very understanding and had empathy. We will definitely return and pass on our experience to family and friends. Children with special educational needs have limited places to visit so it means alot to us all as a family that we can socialise in a way that other people take for granted. Thank you very much to the landlady and staff for providing an exceptional festive event.

This pub is very accommodating, happy to accept my group for a morning followed by lunch. Food is typical pub grub, freshly cooked and value for money.

We often visit the Black Bull Fulwood for breakfast or lunch and are always given a friendly and warm welcome by all the staff from managers, bar staff, chefs and even cleaning staff. We have always enjoyed the food and ambience. A special mention to manager Rob who went above and beyond to make sure I had a hearty breakfast when there was a flood that put the kitchen out of action for a short while. Kudos to Rob and all the staff. Brian, Pauline and of course our dog SUZIE

Excellent food service. Well cooked and flavoursome food.

The food is to Die for. The Rib of beef on a Sunday is worth every trip. Mid week meal deals are amazing with great choice.

We go for the quiz. It’s brilliant being able to book a table in that end of the pub so you can hear it and people aren’t shouting over it. We also asked if it was possible to have a specific table, and the amazing staff arranged this.

Well run pub, great food and drink

Really great! As a team of staff, we keep returning to the Black Bull Inn Fulwood as we always have a great time. The buffets are great for a large group of people, lots of choice and generous too. It was great to see the same cheerful staff who really looked after us - thank you to all the team.

Always a pleasure to go to the Blackbull. Always helpful, and accommodating. Lovely food as always. Hope to see you again soon.

Great local pub and really enjoy the weekly Wednesday night pub quiz. Good good and friendly staff.

Watch out for the parking charges. I went for one pint and got a £100 fine.

What a lovely place! Uber eats delivered wrong order, so rang and explained what happened very fast to sort it out and fix the issue, manager delivering for me, absolute legends! Definitely recommend this place ❤️

We were made to feel so comfortable today I have a son with profound special needs who pushed over some chips a member of staff possibly the manager was amazing not used to that level of service thank you

My 4 yr old enjoyed his all day breakfast and the real fire, saying he had never been in before but want to go back again this sunday, the three adults all enjoyed the food and experience, well worth visiting

Food arrived promptly, was reasonably priced, tasty and my steak was cooked as ordered, not a ton of interaction with staff as we ordered online but they were polite when they dropped off cutlery and our drinks. Bathrooms were clean and tidy and the atmosphere was pleasant and not overly loud.

Myself and my partner only moved to the area in April this pub is only round the corner from us and we absolutely love it! Everyone is so friendly and we will happily talk to anyone. We love how busy it is! Proper British pub, which exceptional food.

Poor communication, food was 45 late but not explained this at time of ordering or until I complained about the time I was waiting to receive my paid for meal.

Visited the Black Bull with colleagues after work and it was a gorgeous day so sat outside in the beer garden enjoying the sun. Unfortunately I hadn’t seen the signs to enter your car registration in the pub to avoid a parking fine and received a fine in the post. However I rang the pub and spoke to a member of staff and they cancelled it for me. They couldn’t have been more helpful. Top notch customer service.

Had the fish and chips, the fries were too soft for my taste. Digital self-service is not my thing.

Well what can I say, it is one thing to win a free meal, but another to actually get a great meal, atmosphere and service. Myself and my partner would usually go to places like Lane Ends with it being closer to where we live, but after visiting the Black bull, we will certainly be back. Service was great by both the bar staff and the manager, the quality of the food was much better than most other pubs I have been to previously in the area and reasonably priced as well. We won this meal as it was a donated prize by the pub to our company then placed in a raffle with all proceeds going to Derian House Children's Hospice. So thank you to Dayle who looked after us, for both the service and for donating the prize that we were lucky enough to win and claim last night!!!

Been coming here for years, always a good visit

Brilliant food . I had the lasagne and it was awesome. Really good choice of food with value for money deals on in the day , really friendly service and go above and beyond to make you have a good meal . Honestly this place is a little gem ! Salad was really fresh too . Ample parking too

Ordered a takeaway on the app. Sharing hot wings 2 x fish & chips 1 x chicken pie & chips. Upon collecting we were a little early so we enjoyed a nice cold drink in their beer garden after being greeted by the friendly attentive host / bar person. Food was ready at the requested time. We only live around the corner so it was still piping hot when we arrived home. Perfect for when you're fancying pub grub in the comfort of your own home 👌🏼 5⭐️'s from us!

Just spent an afternoon at the Black Bull Preston ....while waiting for our sister to be discharged from hospital... The food was excellent...the pudding s Yummy and service friendly ...highly recommend ... Just remember to put your car reg into the machine so that you don't pay car parking charges

2nd time with over an hour wait for some mediocre food. It wasn't especially busy, everyone working just seemed to be going through the motions. Shame really

Food is average at best. Kids menu ( kids eat for £1) is misleading, when purchasing a meal deal (starter and a main) the main is £1 yet they charge full price for the starter. Almost £9 for 6 chicken wings, is steep especially when they look like pigeon wings rather than chicken wings. Sausages were anaemic looking at best, representing fingers, rather than sausages. Staff are lovely but food needs reviewing.

We had a very nice meal here this evening. It was Friday Curry night. Delicious. Our very charming waitress Phoebe and chef Antony Mike Homs made our experience even more special. Thanks to you both and also the team at The Black Bull. We definitely will return again.

Whenever we have visited the black bull before we have loved it but this time we were thoroughly disappointed. All of the food bar the wings and burger were overcooked/burnt. The naan bread was rock hard, The soup was like tomato flavoured water and bland I couldn't taste the pepper like I normally can. The thick-cut gammon was thin and bland. The beans were dried out with no sauce at all. It also took at least 45mins -1 hour for the food to arrive at our table from ordering which we wouldn't have minded if it was of the normal quality. We will give them the benefit of the doubt as they are normally great and try again at some point but it wont be in a hurry.

Food is always good, fresh and flavourful, even greater with food and drinks coupons. Always a great atmosphere and diverse age groups

Had lunch on 1st July with my son following an appointment at Royal Preston Hospital. Lunch was excellent. However 10 days later received a parking fine for £100 even though a disabled badge was displayed. It would have been more helpful if a staff member could have warned us about car parking charges. As strangers to the area and having to negotiate a very busy junction it is not acceptable to expect a driver to stop on the pavement to read what I presume to be parking information on an entry gatepost.. As 77year old who is already very stressed about having to do a 130 mile round trip and facing surgery in the near future I can honestly say you did not make my day. I find it disgusting that hospitality venues, such as pubs, now allow Parking companies to profit from unsuspecting clients.

Popped in for lunch and didn't regret. Had the fish and chips with a bread and butter extra. Fish was delicious and the bread was lovely and fresh. My wife had the Chicken and Avocado salad and was extremely happy with her meal. Had to top it with an Eton Mess, all I can say is wow. Looking forward to my next visit when I'm in the area. Great food and great service,.what more can you ask for

Came for the quiz, a very enjoyable night. But I must say you should bring back the two large round tables as they are very much missed by us quizers.

Noisy on a Friday night and food got and nurse. Husband had fish and chips which he enjoyed, I had the roasted veg side which was dried and tasteless. The sticky chicken starter was OK.

First time I'd been here after many years. Special mention to a lady called Dayle. She was so attentive to us and make our ladies gathering ultra special. What an amazing service and world class delivery. We will be back again. Hope to have Dayle serving us again.

They have a great selection of beer, ales, etc. The service was friendly and efficient. It was a weekday afternoon and there were many guests. Quite rare nowadays. At the end of our visit we understood even better why. We found a table somewhere in a quiet corner where the four of us could catch up. We looked at the menu to choose something to eat. They offer something to suit everyone. The prices for the food (and drinks) are more than reasonable. Good value for money. We liked our food. Actually, all of us liked the Black Bull. We spent quite a few hours in there and enjoyed every minute of it. That's why they have so many guests on a weekday afternoon - and they deserve that.

Fantastic afternoon on the 9/06/24 for our mum and dads 80th birthday celebration, thanks to Dayle and the team, especially Mike the chef for preparing the buffet, great food! Can’t recommend it enough!!!

Friendly and cosy pub. Good bar staff. Great lighting and often busy. Car parking space attached on site. Outdoor seating and smoking sheds provided. This pub has got a good vibe and plenty of room to accommodate.

It was mine and my husband's Golden Wedding Anniversary and my daughter had arranged a surprise gathering of many of our friends which was fantastic but the food the staff at the Black Bull put on was out of this world. I can't speak highly enough of the staff who attended to us nothing was too much trouble. It is a thumbs up all round for the room, the food and the staff. A huge thank you.

It's a great place concerning Preston! Nice food , good selection of beers,It took a while for the food to arrive but in general it's a nice place with outdoor seats and a car park. The food was great.
