Popped in to this lovely little restaurant for a take away whilst on holiday in Cheshire. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious and very good value for money. We would have eaten in, as it looked like a really traditional restaurant but with 4 dogs in tow we opted to take out. We would highly recommend a visit to this lovely little village and its great Indian restaurant.

A perfect getaway break in great surroundings. The pod we stayed in was exceptionally clean and comfortable with almost everything we needed. However, some outdoor furniture on the decking would have been appreciated as the weather was fabulous, even in September! The coffee table that sits under the TV would be better being replaced by a dining table of similar size but one that you could sit and enjoy a leisurely breakfast at or even a relaxed evening meal. A few more coats hooks in the bedroom would be beneficial as would over door hangers in the bathroom and boiler cupboard for coats. More shelves for toiletries in the bathroom wouldn't go a miss either, and finally a mirror in the bedroom is a must for us ladies. These are obviously our recommendations for a more luxurious stay but would definitely not put us off staying there again. Overall we loved it.

Stumbled on this wonderful cafe as we were on our way home from a camping trip. The staff are incredibly friendly and were so welcoming and kind to my 5yo daughter. The food was amazing, we both had the breakfast and my daughter had a lunch box which she loved and I thought it was great value, when we went inside to pay we couldn't not buy one (or two) of the amazing cakes. So delicious. Thank you :)

Family Pleasant rural Cafe just outside Waverton. Most of items are home made on site including bread using flour ground at the mill. However , the food being presented is on the small side and akin to a child's portion , but this isn't reflected in the prices. The home made SOUP for example is served in a SMALL TEACUP !!! A larger more expensive portion is available , however this is served in a SMALL COFFEE CUP !!! The jacket potatoes not cheap at £7 50 are the smallest in the history of the world and with the bare minimum of filling. The salad garnish was a slither of tomato, a slither of cucumber and a lettuce leaf , that's it. Finally, the homemade cake ,being the cake of the week is again the smallest piece of cake in the history of the Universe. Apparently , according to the Baker , she has to charge £4.50:, a slither otherwise the Cafe will not make a profit. Overpriced considering the portion sizes are suitable for under 12's not adults . Suggestion , Why not serve the jacket potato and salad garnish on a tea cup saucer , it would fit nicely on there along with Soup in a teacup. Finally, beware of hard inedible homemade loaves of bread available to purchase . Warning this product may break your teeth

After 20 years of dining at the Pheasant it's sad to see so many poor reviews, and I think I now know why. I visited in March, and had my least best meal in 20 years, and again in August when it was worse. I posted feedback on-line and received an confirming staffing issues in the kitchen, that specials had taken a hit but will be back on the next day. I then replied with the following on 25 August, which has not yet been responded to. Hi India, Thank you for getting back to me although I wasn’t expecting you to justify why our experience was far below anything of the past 20 years. Just to recap. Our scotch eggs were almost burnt and were crunchy as we cut into them. My fish was more than well done, and my chips soggy and warm, not hot and crispy as usual. My wife’s side salad was bland and without dressing, although had she told me I could have asked for some. Service seemed to take an inordinate amount of time and the smashing of crockery coming from the kitchen suggested all was not well. I did wonder at the time if staffing at the required skill level was an issue, which you have confirmed. I mentioned that not everything was evident on the evening and since we had guests at the time didn't wish to spoil their experience. As mentioned, March was our least best experience in over 20 years. At that time some of the specials were unavailable and we were told that a revamp of the menu was imminent, the implication being the reason for the specials being unavailable, it would have been useful to manage our expectations when handing us the menu. On 31 July we were disappointed there were no specials available, but not surprised given the March comments. My feedback said that the menu now resembled any short order menu available in national budget hotel chains, except they have perfected it and charge less. The friends with us were also our guests and they stayed overnight with you. They then went on holiday and I have just spoken to them who gave me the following feedback. My friend’s pie was overcooked and dry as if it had been kept hot for sometime and his chips also soggy. After we left him and his partner around 22:00, they tried to get a nightcap but were told by the guy that he had now cashed up and couldn’t (wouldn’t?) serve them. My friend explained to no avail that they were residents. At that point another guy came from the kitchen, was more helpful and served them. Their room was fine and service the next morning at breakfast was also good. The helpful guy from the previous evening apologised to them for the confusion over their nightcap. He then went on to explain that the owners had now taken a different approach to the business and, for want of a better description, the implication was that they now wished to appeal to a less discerning clientele. This is equally alarming and confusing since it is at odds with your comments that our experience was a one off, but it fits with our experience in March and the pattern now emerging. Especially when compared to the last 20 years when we’ve never been disappointed ever. You apologised for there not being any specials available and was a one off or is it the model going forward. If you could please confirm that our experience on 31 July is what we can now expect across the group this will save us wasting our time and money in the future. So far no response.

A discrete, elegant, small restaurant with young but exceptional staff. The menu was limited but each course was delicious. I’m glad we booked to eat here whilst staying at the hotel. Good value too: we paid £30 each for 3 courses.

Cada vez que voy es increíble comida, gran selección de comida china e inglesa, no me puedo quejar del servicio, ya sea 10/10
