Stumbled on this wonderful cafe as we were on our way home from a camping trip. The staff are incredibly friendly and were so welcoming and kind to my 5yo daughter. The food was amazing, we both had the breakfast and my daughter had a lunch box which she loved and I thought it was great value, when we went inside to pay we couldn't not buy one (or two) of the amazing cakes. So delicious. Thank you :)

Alison catered for our wedding in a local village hall. We can’t rate the food highly enough. Alison turned up exactly when she said she would and we had so much great feedback from all our guests. We had the party night buffet for 80 people. The quality and value for money were exceptional. Thanks so much

Another visit to Alison's for breakfast. We had one bacon and one sausage bap, which we shared between the two of us, half each. One thing you can say for sure about Alison's, they certainly don't skimp on the fillings!! The bacon bap was packed full of proper thick cut, tasty bacon and there were three full size sausages on the other one. The coffee is really good too. Great value for the quality and quantity you get and always lovely, friendly service with a smile. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Warm & welcoming, staff are lovely, nothing is too much trouble and the food is always top notch. We're lucky to have this little gem of a place in the village. The cakes are simply fabulous, homemade and well worth every calorie! Savoury offerings use local ingredients and change regularly. Can't beat a good breakfast though and you get a great one here. Breakfast bap and eggs Benedict today, both spot on. Highly recommended if you're in the area and they do take out too.

Excellent, friendly and super fast service. Delicious food. I had a steak, mushroom and onion baguette and it was gorgeous. We sat outside as we took my dog, I didn't actually see inside as dogs are not allowed in, next time I'll have to take a peak. Highly recommended.

Situated in a small village, Alison’s country kitchen is easy to miss from the road. There is a car park around the back of the building. There is a lovely outdoor seating area, which would be lovely to sit and eat in the summer months. Due to the time of year, we sat inside. The inside is much bigger than it looks from the outside. There is seating around the counters and a back room with even more seating. There is a small shop inside selling items from local suppliers. The café is easy enough to get around and the tables are spaced out to allow easy movement. They offer a large menu which includes all day breakfasts, hot baguettes, soups and of course a large selection of cakes. I decided to have the afternoon tea for £13.50. This offered a range of sandwiches, a scone with cream and jam and a selection of cakes. When they brought the afternoon tea out it was quite a surprise at how much food there actually was! I had 6 triangle sandwiches (2 x Cheese & Onion, 2 x Ham and 2 x Egg mayo), a slice of quiche, half of a sausage roll, the massive scone, a wedge of Victoria sponge cake and a slice of chocolate brownie. All the food was beautiful and I ended up taking my cakes home as I couldn’t finish it. The staff here were super friendly and helpful. A member of our party (toddler) has allergies and they were happy to create something off menu for him to eat. The owner did say that if we were visiting again, just to give them 24 hours’ notice and they could make him a little menu of his own to eat. During our meal the staff popped over to ask us if we needed anything and to check that everything was ok for us. Superb service. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend an afternoon tea at Alison’s Country Kitchen.

Comfortable, cosy & very welcoming. They were my first impressions of Alison's Counrty Kitchen. We sat outside after viewing the mouthwatering cakes inside. They made a small milkshake for my 3year old granddaughter and were so friendly, bringing her chosen cake out first, at 3 it's hard to wait for a scrummy cake! The menu offered a good choice of breakfast, lunch & afternoon tea. The food served looked plentiful & well presented. Then the cake! Oh wow, a cake lover's delight. So good I bought some to take home. Lemon drizzle made in heaven!! Selection of goods available to buy in the shop. Well worth a visit. We loved it. Thank you..

Attended Saturday night quiz. Arrived at 7:00pm. Started with a glass of red wine and Mediterranean platter followed by a to die for cheesecake( all food freshly cooked by Jason ( chef ) and the team. Wolfed the cheese cake down and realised I hadn't took a picture. Had a few more vino's during the quiz along with some banter with Jason and the regular customers. All tables were booked and nice to see a full house. Made a change to the average Saturday night and will certainly do it again. Would recommend to call in prior for some brekky or lunch to book quiz any day before or on Saturday. Quiz moved on quicker than your normal pub quiz which was great with the light banter and no typical interruptions from pub scene. Didn't win the quiz but enjoyed trying.

Our favourite place to come for brunch after football. The team, as always, went above and beyond with the orders for our family (all with different dietary requirements). The boys had the classic big breakfast with local products at a great price. I tried the weekend special eggs Benedict and it was amazing. The boys filled their boots. The girls enjoyed new things. The doorstop toast alone is worth the visit. Sadly, no room for my favourite one the menu - parsnip cake, but the cake-away option meant I could enjoy it later. We brought a friend for their first visit and she was blown away.

We visited with elderly inlaws on 31 July. A highpoint was going to be the cafe. Unfortunately there were no signs to tell us the cafe was closed until we got to the door. By then the inlaws were v tired and needed to sit down with a cup of tea etc. We had to drive back into Frodsham to find somewhere. Such a shame. More notices would help.
