The best restaurants in Parkgate Cheshire West and Chester North West

Went there for our daughter's birthday, lovely and friendly staff. With very nice food, with a good atmosphere.

Used the room upstairs for a wake of 30+ people. Sophie and the staff looked after us brilliantly. The food was amazing and the staff were extremely attentive taking orders for drinks which included tea and coffee to order. There was also a nice selection of beers and wine available. The food and drink was replenished regularly. I can recommend the sausage rolls, quiche, ham & cheese croissants and muffin scones. Sophie was extremely helpful when we were looking for a suitable venue from our initial enquiry to the event itself and made a very difficult day very easy and enjoyable for our family and friends. Top marks all round and thank you.

It was just OK. Definitely not the best Chinese meal we’ve eaten. Started off with Chicken and Sweetcorn soup which was nice enough, followed by a plate of Hors d’Oeuvres, these were quite nice apart from the ribs which were a little too strong for myself and my wife. We followed this by crispy duck, which was burnt. There’s crispy duck and there’s crispy duck but this was beyond crispy. For the main course we had chicken fried rice and chicken with mixed vegetables in a birds nest basket. Whilst it looked nice enough, it was really salty. Sadly we won’t be going back to Chows Eating House but we had read and heard good things about Chows but sadly, for my wife and myself, it was a complete let down, I definitely would not recommend it.

Visited twice recently as we live nearby. This is a really nice restaurant with a variety of seating on different levels. Large tables can be catered for but smaller groups can have more secluded seating which is a great idea. There is an extensive menu here which staff are happy to explain and we loved all the dishes we ordered which were nicely presented. We will no doubt be returning soon and will definitely book in advance as it's been busy ( early evening) both times we visited·

Beautiful Authentic Thai food. Generous portions - carefully packed to maintain the heat & flavour! Cant beat a Sang Juan for quality & consistency - best Thai there is!

Parkgate is such a little gem on the Wirral and Chows Eating House has one of the best views over the Dee estuary. The food matched the view and the service was exemplary! After seeing that I was celebrating my birthday, the staff kindly marked the occasion with a cake and traditional gongs. A memorable day in every way. Thank you all at Chows.

First visit since 2017, can say the ice cream I had (conder toffee) was a lot lot nicer than my last visit in 2017. Sadly the service was lacking. Was quite a wait to be served which I get however there was only one last on at that time. Another lady came out and could of smiled a little more and be less unhappy looking

Baz is the best ice cream maker I know and the big fella behind the counter has the best PR skills I have seen he was a pleasure and helped me decide on a flake :)

We used to visit this delightful busy buzzy place a lot but sadly we have given it a miss lately. I passed today and it was really quiet which was unusual for a Saturday morning and I wondered whether others felt the same as us. The plastic sides to the awning make you feel as if you're sitting in a damp tent. Why are these necessary? It was so much more pleasant to be out in the air. You do have the added benefit of a retractable roof. No one likes to feel claustrophobic. We miss our visits. Please give this some thought.

Popped in for lunch, had a pot of tea for one and you get a good two cups from.... I had the tuna mayo sandwich, normally comes with melon, cus cus and balsamic dressing, I opted out of those. Everywhere very clean and so quirky from bicycle in window to crystal chandelier.... Great place to people watch too... Does get busy and you can book ahead. Lovely garden seating area too. Service is so friendly and nothing too much trouble... Dog friendly downstairs and outside area.. Cake selection amazing...

The Malt is the best in Neston, run by local Landlady Lindsay. Good beers in a pub/pub, sports on large screens, very reasonable prices! what more would you want👍👍👍just had a fabulous complete refurb!! Even better than before!! 🍺 🍻 🍺

my best friend and i recently ate here not long before closing time, the staff were incredibly polite and welcoming , the restaraunt was very very clean , and the food had so much flavour , i would definitely eat here again and highly recommend this place very very happy with the experience
