A similar experience to another review, intended stopping for a family lunch by boat as we have many times previously, but all the pub side moorings taken, largely with the same collection of boats that have been moored there over the winter. With the towpath out of action under the bridge, no opportunity to stop. Hopefully the new management can part company with the overstaying moorers and welcome passing trade again.
Great new menu, very tasty and a good range of dishes
Great service all very professional. Good to go on a Sundays as not too busy but still a very nice atmosphere.
Staff disinterested and food mediocre. Wouldn’t return. At £8 for a burger on its own (no chips or salad or anything) I’d expect more in the way of actual service.
Passing through Middlewich, we chose the White Bear for an impromptu lunch on Easter Sunday. The service was good, the pub nicely designed.. .unfortunately the food let it down somewhat. We both chose the Sunday lunch ( beef and Yorkshire puddings) and this was somewhat underwhelming. The portions were small, the beef was stringy, and the Yorkshires overdone. A shame. In fairness the desserts were better. Maybe a different choice of mains would have been better ?
We returned after a brilliant meal last year, this time again did not disappoint. Great beers and fresh hot food, fabulous service - a mist visit and dog friendly too!
Bar staff were great and really friendly, however, told the bouncers on the way out that there was some weird men making women feeling uncomfortable and they simply told us to tell them to “do one”. I said that’s your job, they didn’t seem bothered. It’s a shame that women should feel unsafe on a night out and for the bouncers to not really care.
What a lovely authentic Italian restaurant with great food and such lovely staff. Nothing was too much trouble and we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening there with our Belgian friends, who were equally impressed. Thank you so much.
First time visit whilst on a business trip. Called in for a takeaway and followed a group of diners who were known to the manager and he greeted them all warmly. I received the same welcoming smile and handshake as I entered which was a nice touch. The food is reasonably priced. The selected King Prawn Zamir was without doubt one of the best dishes I have ever had.
Definitely on my go to list when next in Crewe 10/10
The restaurant was relatively busy but the waiters told us that we could stay only for 1 hour as it was fully booked. We realised that this was not the case. The restaurant was 50% busy and was even less occupied when we let. The waiters happened to be in a. Extremely bad mood, and this can happen to any of us. Life can be hard.
Extraordinary place to have a delicious meal. I have been impressed by the freshness and quality of the food. Exceptional experience! Will highly recommend!
