Great pub. We were staying nearby for the night, read there was tapas and took a wonder up to check it out. Beer is sublime, best pint of ale I've had in a while. Yes the tapas portions are big, but very nice, so no complaints for us! Beer garden has some awesome views and the sunset was amazing. If we are ever back this way we will come again.

Had lunch here yesterday for a family Birthday, which we had had booked for some time. The food and the service were extremely disappointing. All the meals did not come out at the same time. We had to wait at least 15 minutes for each drink round. The Sunday dinner did not taste great, neither did the desserts. I would not recommend. Very disappointing.

Absolutely 5 Star. We were welcomed by Ian the owner as soon as we sat down for our food order had a lovely conversation about the Christmas period. The food was so good. We were staying locally but the menu in the hotel didn't appeal to us, hence we found ourselves in the Bulls Head and it was an excellent experience from the moment we entered the door to when we left. The staff were welcoming and attentive throughout the evening, the food was delicious - the best white bait I've ever had and the burger was also exceptional. The facilities were also clean and well maintained. Another big bonus is that it's 'dog friendly'. We were so impressed we popped in the following day for refreshments before travelling home. Thank you to Nathan and Ian for their excellent service.

The pub was busy when i went in. Ordered a draught beer and a gammon from the menu. I was advised that there would probably be a long wait for the food, which i accepted. I tried a another beer ( this time a blond), and was ready for another different draught beer when the barman offered me a free one due to the wait. All three beers were excellent and the food, which arrived shortly after the 3rd pint was poured, was good. All in all, this is a very good place to eat and drink, and i would happily return with the mrs if we are in the area again. The free beer was a nice touch and was much appreciated.

First visit here, decided to check out after reading the great reviews about Tapas food. Really disappointing. Expensive food, too much of it and not of good enough quality for the price. Calamari tasteless and oily, just a ring of batter. The potatoes were dry, possibly from frozen? Dips from a bottle, fat hard chorizo and overcooked prawns… definitely not ‘Tapas’ or anywhere close, more like an English fry up. We left £53 lighter and still hungry. Won’t return for food, seems like a nice local for a beer.

Fabulous food, the boys were polite and knowledgeable, surprised to find Tapas in an Old English Pub. Loads to eat, good selection of wines too. The calamari was the best I've had in a long time, cooked to perfection. Perfect birthday treat for my wife, the prices were extremely good, and we could even walk to and from, staying in a local Hotel. Well done for making our visit a great one, we were lucky to get in as this looks to be a very popular place. Thanks again.

Cosy setting and atmoshere, in a lovely village. Friendly & attentive staff. There were two menus, the first being a regular pub menu, that to be honest looking at the dishes being served were quite ample and appetising and well presented. The second menu was tapas, of which I wasn't sure would feed the hungry fat boy as there are two of them in me. We decided to give both menu's the opportunity to prove themselves. Ordering two dishes from the tapas menu as starters, then a main from the more conventional English pub menu. Which had a great variety of dishes. The Tapas Portions were not to be sneered at as they were almost a meal each in themselves. We had the peppers and the meatballs, home made and perfect light herb and very tasty. The Cordon Bleu Chicken stuffed with ham and cheese, was homemade and not processed rubbish boil in a bag so frequently found these days. It was served with an ample mixed fresh and crisp salad with a light dressing and a bowl of skinny, skin on crispy fries which were still fluffy in the middle and dry, not an ounce of grease / oil to be seen or tasted. Very good value for money, Highly recumbent this Dog friendly Establishment. If your Boots are muddy then Boot covers are provided at the door also.

The food is sooooooo tasty! Home cooked and delicious. The Sunday roasts are highly in demand.. often sold out before 4pm ! Tapas is authentic and large portions.. The only down fall is there is a smell of old and dog when you initially walk in. This is down to the tired old carpet that desperately needs replacing for wooden floors ( if you allow pets ). It’s a authentic beautiful pub which just needs a little polish to bring it up to the same standards as the beautiful food.

The tapas here is amazing! The tapas choices were great, really good food and great portions. We got the last portion of meatballs - try not to miss out! The beer garden late afternoon and in the evening is a perfect sun trap with good views. It was quite busy and the staff seemed to be cracking under pressure, not sure if understaffed or Covid regulations making things difficult but it took 10mins to get seated - the waitress kept walking past not making eye contact or saying “bear with me, I’ll be with you in a moment” or any similar courteous kind of acknowledgment to a growing queue of confused customers. When she did speak she was curt and actually quite rude, so I have to say I’m surprised by the many comments mentioning friendly staff - must’ve been a different shift. That said, once you know how the system works and understand you’re not going to get a friendly smile or chatty exchange, the food and view and friendly locals are well worth it. I’d still visit again.

Came to this charming pub. Bought our drinks sat down and was enjoying a very pleasant pint(which was excellent) and chat with people that came and sat next to us. When ordering Drinks asked for Tapas menu 20 minutes went bye still no menu ,I complained to the landlord and he barked at me "she forgot". A few minutes later the barmaid came to our table with a menu though not the Tapas menu when I askes for the Menu she barked "book a table" and walked away ,a little perturbed I went to the landlord asked for the Tapas menu he gave me the menu. I suppose I should have walked out then though not quite believing this experience I walked upto the Bar and ordered some Tapas they arrived reasonably quickly the Potato Brasas was delicious though the Calamari was utterly disgusting half cooked, like rubber bullets. rather than complain again we walked out feeling Hurt and a little traumatised probably the most unpleasant experience I've ever encounted with the added dagger looks from both the landlord and the Barmaid. A little mystified why I encounted this experience if I could give no stars I would.

Afternoon Tea, great value for money and really nice food. Unlimited tea and coffee was a plus point, and the service was good too. Can’t fault it, especially at a very reasonable price point.
