Fantastic night at ego Haslington, valentines menu great choice, lovely of Craig to give the ladies roses and his and Vicki’s. team were absolutely brilliant as always. Craig, Vicki and everyone thank you for making valentines special for everyone.

Fabulous Valentines meal. Presented with a single pink rose when I arrived. Excellent service by Milly. Highly recommend.

Milly served us today and was lovely. The food again was lovely but I was just a little disappointed with the little amount of pork that I received for the price I paid. I would certainly come back and try other dishes

Start to finish everything was perfect. The steaks in particular were amazing, definitely one of the best I’ve ever had. Thanks to our servers Lucy and Craig and even bigger thanks to the chef that cooked the steak! Stunning

Really enjoyed our first experience here. Went on a Monday evening so it was nice and quiet. We were greeted by a young gentleman who was fantastic throughout our meal. Very attentive and served us well. The food was delicious and good portion sizes. Good wine menu. The atmosphere and internal decoration was beautiful. We will be back.

Great food, great choice and great service. Free parking too if you can find a space. We had the two course meal deal for £15 per person, which was excellent value. The meal portions were plentiful, and our food was hot and tasty. Our waitress, Lucy, was delightful and gave us very good service. We'll be back soon!

Sunday lunch for a family get together. Kindly set up in the conservatory for us which meant we felt somewhat private. The food came out promptly as we had preordered. The starters were tasty....I particularly enjoyed the lamb koftas. The main meals were large and well presented, though several of us found the huge Yorkshire pudding a little overwhelming! Some of us had Desserts which looked lovely. Orlaith looked after us all very well. Thank you.

Went for team christmas lunch so all meals were pretty ordered. Food wasn't great for the price we paid but I do get the feeling that the issue was down to the amount of people we had together and the restaurant not being used to this. I'm sure if you had a table of 4 it would be great, just not if you have a large party of over 20. Was very disappointed,no atmosphere considering it was Christmas 🎄 after ordering my food I was told ten minutes later they had run out of certain things on the menu ,how can this happen this time of year . The manager didn’t seem to bothered he was more interested leaning over the open kitchen counter talking to colleagues.wont be going back

Went here for family lunch on Sunday, I will say everybody's food was good apart from mine......I had the worst scragg end of a fillet steak, I asked for medium rare it came tough as old boots on one side and rare on other side and cold.....as was the other food on the plate. Worst meal I have had in a long time. Best thing was the pepper sauce which I didn't want......

Came for a Christmas dinner with my work friends, meal was amazing, everything came out so quick and it was just a lovely atmosphere, We had a lovely server, nothing was to much trouble, I didn’t get her name unfortunately (blondish hair) , when it came to paying she very patient with the 4 of us trying to split the bill, Thankyou to her for looking after us so well. The rest of the staff all very friendly and made time to chat even when busy. Thank you, will be coming back <3

Afternoon Tea, great value for money and really nice food. Unlimited tea and coffee was a plus point, and the service was good too. Can’t fault it, especially at a very reasonable price point. Only negative was that getting a space in the car park wasn’t easy, but that isn’t a show-stopper by any stretch of the imagination.

Went for lunch this afternoon on a whim, they were very busy and we hadn't booked so they said we could sit in the bar area, went to get my partner but by the time we came back someone had left and they sat us in the restaurant. Vickie took us down to our table and was very friendly and great at explaining all of the menus. Then we had Michelle waiting on us I think one of the other managers who was running round everywhere. She was so polite even with it being so busy! Food was delicious and served quickly even though they said there may be a little delay with the amount of people. Brilliant lunch, will definitely be back soon!

We were a party of nine, and Vickie went above and beyond to ensure our table arrangements were perfect, responding promptly to my emails and communications. A very disappointing experience! We booked a table for 5 for a birthday meal and were greeted by the front of house staff who showed us to our table and was very helpful. However, this was the last of the positives to come from the evening. First of all the food took over an hour and 15 minutes to arrive, and then when the food did arrive it was very poor. I ordered the ribeye steak, and when it arrived it was such a poor quality cut and tasted like nothing, and I would go as far to say it was the worst steak that I have ever eaten. Another member of the group ordered the prawn linguine and was unable to finish the dish due to the excessive oil that was used. Overall a very poor experience and would not recommend anyone eating here.

First time here. Esme served us, answered all my questions about the food and service was fast. The food was so good. Had the carrot soup for starter and can honestly say it was the best soup I’ve ever had. 10/10 for the whole meal

We held a get together for our daughters 18th. It was a Friday night, we were allocated the conservatory area and an area near the fire place, so lots of room for us to socialise and mingle. We had a mix of ages attending and everybody was happy with the lovely atmosphere. Craig and the team were so helpful, setting up the room and putting up the decorations which we had brought. Nothing was too much trouble. The buffet was absolutely delicious. A mix of hot and cold servings with something for everyone (we had vegetarians and lactose intolerant people in the party) All in all a wonderful evening of celebration which was only enhanced by the venue. 10/10. A great big thank you!

My Wife Margaret and I and 2 friends ate at Ego Haslington last night, Friday 25th October Disappointing. Starters not very attractive Margaret and Nicola had the Chicken dinner. Described as “bland” Lump of chicken and cheese. Very sparse and poor vegetables Veg. was like three small potatoes, couple of green beans etc We waited almost 1/2 an hour for our main meal to be served Ego not as it once was. One drink each and > £150, not the value for money it once was

We were served by Lucy. What a lovely , smiley girl! A credit to you! (Duo of pork was delicious too!)

Very disappointed with the service and delay. Waited over an hour and fifteen minutes for our main course. Won’t be coming here again.

Food was absolutely delicious, the service was good and Lucy was really helpful and cheery and the atmosphere was lovely.

Excellent food service was outstanding by Sylvie and Vicky they would make you want to go back they went above and beyond from opening the door for entry with a double buggy and were so helpful with service and our two year old fell in love with them

This restaurant is great lovely friendly welcoming staff. Good menu lovely food and one of the few restaurants with an extensive gluten free menu. It was lovely to see Lucy at the front of house again she is a star.

Extremely disappointed after being sat down at our table to hear there were no roasts - every single other table in the restaurant had a roast, much to our dismay! The website states 'roasts served all day's, terribly upset with our experience. Will not be returning.

I arrived ahead of the other members of my table. I was greeted in a friendly and efficient way and asked about dietary requirements and potential allergies. Unfortunately the other two members of our table group were seriously delayed. I wasn’t made to feel uncomfortable or anxious and both the ladies serving engaged with me in a friendly way and offered additional drinks etc. Once my friends arrived, we enjoyed an excellent meal. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. Lucy went “the extra mile” to make us feel special and the service was excellent throughout. The quality of the food was outstanding and we’ve already booked for a follow up event.

Great decor since it's renovation a while ago amazingly friendly staff, good selection of drinks on tap etc. And really nice food, would highly recommend

Had the most lovely evening, I arrived early but made to feel very welcome and looked after whilst waiting in the lovely bar area. We went on steak night and it certainly did not disappoint. The food was beautiful and the steak cooked to perfection. The staff were frequently and attentive when needed. I will definitely be going again soon!!

This is a very classy restaurant and bar with such a relaxing and chilled atmosphere. The lighting is just right and the music is perfectly chosen with the right vibe and at the right volume. The bar area has the cosy feel of a piano bar. It's the perfect place to unwind after a stressful day at work or to eat, drink and relax with friends and family. The floor staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive, they always greet you with a happy smile and a 'hi, how are you?'. Vickie, Manon, Millie, Sam, Callum, Michelle and others always go the extra mile to make sure you are happy and feel like you are a VIP guest. I can't speak highly enough of them, they make this place what it is and make you want to come back again. Service is very prompt and they always remember your name and what you had to drink last time, a small thing but it's the attention to detail that makes you feel valued as a guest. The manager Craig is also very visible, hands-on and attentive and always has time for a conversation even though he must be very busy. Any customer complaints I've seen are dealt with swiftly and resolved in a sympathetic manner. The food is outstanding and delicious. There is a great selection of Mediterranean inspired food, always very tasty and cooked to order and with an open kitchen you can see the chefs at work and the high standards it maintains. There are also some great deals on weekdays too that will save you some money so make sure you get the app! I'm a cask ale drinker and the beer is consistent so the lines are clearly cleaned regularly. For other customers the cocktails seem to be very popular and it never ceases to amaze me how every member of the bar team can remember all the ingredients of the various cocktails on offer. Its like watching Tom Cruise shaking the cocktail mixer! I would highly recommend this restaurant and bar, it's become my 'go to' destination for great food, drinks and relaxation. I came in for a one off drink a while ago and ended up a regular. It's like being in your favourite hotel bar on holiday! I nickname it 'The Lobster Pot' because once you get in it, you can't get out of it! I love this place :)

Amazing food and great service, I would however like to be given the option not to sit in a dog friendly area. There was no mention of our table being in that area or i would have asked for a different one.

Having been many times both as a couple and bringing family. We were both very disappointed. We both had a Sunday dinner. The food was barely warm. Cold plates and some veg was almost raw. The roast potatoes were dried out and looked more like boiled. For pud I had the rhubarb and ginger crumble which was hot in places with only a tiny portion of cold custard. Service was slow although they weren’t busy. On the plus - The serving staff were very nice. What has happened ??

well !!!! what a disappointment !!! We go to this place often, food is always adequate, never outstanding but ok. last night we went for our evening meal it will be our last meal at Ego Firstly our drinks I ordered lime and lemonade , when it arrived it was lime and soda so had to be changed. husband had a pint which was good. Starters Gambas pil pil = good Garlic mushrooms = the mushrooms were woody and inedible , these were changed for chicken pate which arrived after my husband had finished his starter, infact at this point we nearly walked out because the time taken was rather lengthy. The mains Roast beef dinner= the plate was stone cold, the yorkshire pudding was swimming in grease, the plate was swimming in gravy with an added jug of gravy in the middle of the plate. there were hard woody lumps in the braised red cabbage the beef was so tough it was once again inedible, this was returned and the chicken ordered which eventually arrived. I ordered the chicken dinner which arrived on a plate that was so hot I almost burnt my fingers moving it, the dinner itself comprised of 2 tough "roast potatoes" 2 " roast carrots " and 2 "roast parsnips" a small dolop of braised red cabbage arrived swimming in gravy and once again with a jug of gravy in the middle of the meal, at this point i would like to state that this was BEEF gravy on a chicken dinner. The whole meal was an utter disappointment, i'm a great believer in that I go out for a meal I expect something that I wouldn't be able to cook at home or would be much Superior to a home cooked meal, this meal was no discount was offered, we paid our bill and left , we will not be returning.

I must confess I was very dubious about going back to Ego after several years and having giving them several opportunities to get the food right. A good friend of mind recent had surgery and did not want to venture far so I booked here. I called in advance and expressed my concerns with Michelle who assured me that we would be looked after. We got there and it was very busy for a Thursday afternoon. They were hosting an event. Despite this Vicki and her team were exceptional with making a fuss and ensuring they met all our needs. The sandwiches were very fresh. I would have preferred our scones warm but there are a few places that don’t serve them warm anymore. I was too full for the cakes but my friend said they were lovely and she took home a little takeaway of the rest. Thanks for making her first outing so special xx Will definitely try them again.

The service today wasn't bad, but the food was pretty bad. Generally, it wasn't hot enough and the beef wasn't tender and didn't like it at all. It probably needed cooking for longer. We expressed our discontent to the management and walked out without paying.

Having just worked for 3 weeks in Crewe this was the best place we went for dinner. 7 nights out of 12. A friendly greeting on arrival, Excellent options for starters, mains and pudding. The staff are great and provide great service. Will definitely be back when working there again.

We were really looking forward to a nice meal out with freinds. My husband ordered a round of drinks which didn't arrive after half an hour, they hadn't even been put through to the bar!! There was a live singer on, he really wasn't very good and it was made worse by how loud he was. We couldn't hear each other talking because of it!!

We booked a table for 3:30. No problem. On arrival, restaurant was very quiet. Ordered drinks, they came , then the waitress brought a glass of blackcurrant and water over, I explained, sorry not ours. She insisted that it was ordered by our table….I said again, sorry not ours! We ordered our food. I then asked the waitress for another pint of Black Sheep….. it never arrived!!!! At that point I noted that Staff were standing around and chatting. Definitely not busy!!!! Our food came in decent time, and it was very good!! The Sea Bass was excellent and the wife’s steak done how she likes it! After our mains the waitress asked if the food was okay? We said yes, it was lovely! She asked if we’d like to see the sweet menu, to which we said, give us 5 minutes and we’ll have a look. 20 minutes later, we gave up. No sweet menu, we sat with empty drink glasses, staff were chatting and leaning on the side of the serving hatch! I felt like standing up and clapping my hands, and shouting, will you please get a grip, we are customers and should be given some attention!!! I wish I had!!! We paid our £48, which would have been a lot more, but sadly apathy rules at Ego Haslington !! By the way, we have eaten at Ego, Stockton Heath several times, and the service there has always been exceptional. Perhaps because in Stockton Heath, there’s a lot of competition, meaning that they need to be on top of their game! Appears not so in Ego Haslington!!! So to summarise, Food excellent ,5 ⭐️ Service awful! 0 ⭐️ If I was to use Ego again I’ll do a round trip of 70 miles, to Stockton Heath , rather than go to Ego Haslington!

Good choice for people with coeliac disease. Special offer made our experience good. Rohan our server was lovely, very polite and efficient. On this visit our food took along time to come and wasn't as tasty as usual. We both had the peri peri chicken and chorizo with me substituting the pita bread for fries.
