Had a lovely lunch and a few cocktails with my sister on a rare day off good atmosphere and lovely staff had a great time thanks

Lovely food served by friendly and attentive staff. The main meal took a bit longer than expected, which meant we didn't have time for dessert before heading off to our show, but the wait was worth it for the quality

Really enjoyed the latest visit. Comfortable atmosphere, good service, great food. All at a good price being their Monday specials deal of starter and main for £20.95. Fast becoming my favourite restaurant in Crewe area.

Amazing food and great service, I would however like to be given the option not to sit in a dog friendly area. There was no mention of our table being in that area or i would have asked for a different one.

Absolutely first class meal at an amazing price!!

Having been many times both as a couple and bringing family. We were both very disappointed. We both had a Sunday dinner. The food was barely warm. Cold plates and some veg was almost raw. The roast potatoes were dried out and looked more like boiled. For pud I had the rhubarb and ginger crumble which was hot in places with only a tiny portion of cold custard. Service was slow although they weren’t busy. On the plus - The serving staff were very nice. What has happened ??

I must confess I was very dubious about going back to Ego after several years and having giving them several opportunities to get the food right. A good friend of mind recent had surgery and did not want to venture far so I booked here. I called in advance and expressed my concerns with Michelle who assured me that we would be looked after. We got there and it was very busy for a Thursday afternoon. They were hosting an event. Despite this Vicki and her team were exceptional with making a fuss and ensuring they met all our needs. The sandwiches were very fresh. I would have preferred our scones warm but there are a few places that don’t serve them warm anymore. I was too full for the cakes but my friend said they were lovely and she took home a little takeaway of the rest. Thanks for making her first outing so special xx Will definitely try them again.

well !!!! what a disappointment !!! We go to this place often, food is always adequate, never outstanding but ok. last night we went for our evening meal it will be our last meal at Ego Firstly our drinks I ordered lime and lemonade , when it arrived it was lime and soda so had to be changed. husband had a pint which was good. Starters Gambas pil pil = good Garlic mushrooms = the mushrooms were woody and inedible , these were changed for chicken pate which arrived after my husband had finished his starter, infact at this point we nearly walked out because the time taken was rather lengthy. The mains Roast beef dinner= the plate was stone cold, the yorkshire pudding was swimming in grease, the plate was swimming in gravy with an added jug of gravy in the middle of the plate. there were hard woody lumps in the braised red cabbage the beef was so tough it was once again inedible, this was returned and the chicken ordered which eventually arrived. I ordered the chicken dinner which arrived on a plate that was so hot I almost burnt my fingers moving it, the dinner itself comprised of 2 tough "roast potatoes" 2 " roast carrots " and 2 "roast parsnips" a small dolop of braised red cabbage arrived swimming in gravy and once again with a jug of gravy in the middle of the meal, at this point i would like to state that this was BEEF gravy on a chicken dinner. The whole meal was an utter disappointment, i'm a great believer in that I go out for a meal I expect something that I wouldn't be able to cook at home or would be much Superior to a home cooked meal, this meal was no discount was offered, we paid our bill and left , we will not be returning.

The service today wasn't bad, but the food was pretty bad. Generally, it wasn't hot enough and the beef wasn't tender and didn't like it at all. It probably needed cooking for longer. We expressed our discontent to the management and walked out without paying.

Having just worked for 3 weeks in Crewe this was the best place we went for dinner. 7 nights out of 12. A friendly greeting on arrival, Excellent options for starters, mains and pudding. The staff are great and provide great service. Will definitely be back when working there again.

We were really looking forward to a nice meal out with freinds. My husband ordered a round of drinks which didn't arrive after half an hour, they hadn't even been put through to the bar!! There was a live singer on, he really wasn't very good and it was made worse by how loud he was. We couldn't hear each other talking because of it!!

We booked a table for 3:30. No problem. On arrival, restaurant was very quiet. Ordered drinks, they came , then the waitress brought a glass of blackcurrant and water over, I explained, sorry not ours. She insisted that it was ordered by our table….I said again, sorry not ours! We ordered our food. I then asked the waitress for another pint of Black Sheep….. it never arrived!!!! At that point I noted that Staff were standing around and chatting. Definitely not busy!!!! Our food came in decent time, and it was very good!! The Sea Bass was excellent and the wife’s steak done how she likes it! After our mains the waitress asked if the food was okay? We said yes, it was lovely! She asked if we’d like to see the sweet menu, to which we said, give us 5 minutes and we’ll have a look. 20 minutes later, we gave up. No sweet menu, we sat with empty drink glasses, staff were chatting and leaning on the side of the serving hatch! I felt like standing up and clapping my hands, and shouting, will you please get a grip, we are customers and should be given some attention!!! I wish I had!!! We paid our £48, which would have been a lot more, but sadly apathy rules at Ego Haslington !! By the way, we have eaten at Ego, Stockton Heath several times, and the service there has always been exceptional. Perhaps because in Stockton Heath, there’s a lot of competition, meaning that they need to be on top of their game! Appears not so in Ego Haslington!!! So to summarise, Food excellent ,5 ⭐️ Service awful! 0 ⭐️ If I was to use Ego again I’ll do a round trip of 70 miles, to Stockton Heath , rather than go to Ego Haslington!

Good choice for people with coeliac disease. Special offer made our experience good. Rohan our server was lovely, very polite and efficient. On this visit our food took along time to come and wasn't as tasty as usual. We both had the peri peri chicken and chorizo with me substituting the pita bread for fries.

Excellent tasty food, good pint of Black Sheep, lovely setting and friendly staff.

We used a birthday voucher- buy one get one free. Excellent value. India was a great server and very attentive. We had halloumi and Chorizo screwers for starters and can thoroughly recommend them. Steaks were perfect. Only downside is the place is really in need of a refurbishment

Excellent service food very good. Had the Wednesday offer 2 course 2 people for £30 plus £10 for wine this was a very good saving and will do it.

Managers social evening event, the food was pre-booked and it didn't disappoint, the whole party of 14 people all said what lovely food it was, served on time, hot and cooked to perfection, credit to the chef and staff, we all had a lovely time and will definitely be returning.

Came in for sunday dinner with my family. From the minute we sat service was excellent by our server Milly, super efficient and smiley . Credit to the Chefs as the food was supberb!! We opted for the 2 cource sunday menu went straight to mains and had desert brilliant value.

Amazing decor a warm feel with friendly staff Everyone smiles here that’s rare these days. Got a table by the open kitchen it’s great to see food being made. Fantastic kitchen team running like clock work. Our server was LUCY who had a great introduction She was so bubbly and super efficient. In my opinion she’s an asset to the company. Being a strong member of staff great with guests she’s going places. The staters arrived wow it was amazing the flavour was intensely packed making the perfect dish. The mains were incredible.The lamb was amazing and fell apart. Hat off to the chefs. Deserts were good too love a sweet treat. Ego definitely have something right here and hope nothing changes. The Fox in Haslington is by far the best Ego we have visited, the team are exceptionally friendly and the feed is always a consistent and excellent quality. Last night was no exception to the quality and service we have come to expect from this venue with the food quality being excellent and the service provided by Lucy our server fantastic.

A few months back now we came! But it was a wonderful experience! I love Ego at Stockton Brook but thought I’d try another!! And I wasn’t disappointed! Food was beautiful and the service was great! It was fairly steady for a Sunday afternoon/evening but it was an enjoyable atmosphere! Met Sammie and had a lovely little conversation with her! The team are amazing. We got a full view of the kitchen and they worked like a dream! Was so refreshing to see!

Never been here before, pleasantly suprised with the aesthetics inside quite fancy wasn't expecting it. So much on the menu looked amazing but went for the halloumi with chilli glaze for appetiser and Moroccan lamb for main. Friend had garlic bread with tomato for start and duo of pork. Served beautifully. Amazing flavour, definitely enough food. No issue with time between service. There was a slight issue with my food however this was sorted very well with the staff who were all lovely. And omg the dessert, 100/10 warm triple chocolate brownie with ice cream softer than ever Absolutely would recommend anyone to come here, I will be back to try the pasta dish in future :) (for those who care like me - the toilets were lovely and clean and also very spacious)

Absolutely rubbish never again went at 4:30 and ordered seemed nice at the start untill we had beem there for an hour and a half and we had only eaten starters we asked for the wait time and told us about 5 minutes, after 10 minutes food final came after finishing we ordered dessert, 20 minutes we had waited and only 3 desserts had come we had ordered 8 and after waiting 25 minutes they then told us they had no brownies, NO BROWNIES what was the point of us waiting there why were we not told before we waited 25 minutes ridiculous and potatoes were raw beans were hard definitely NOT going back

To get the 5star experience I get see vickie (the girl/lady with the multi coloured hair, normally pink, purple or both) she never fails to deliver on all of the above.

Just got in from a family meal for 15 of us at the Fox. We were seated in the main resteraunt and requested to move to the conservation to be closer to the children playing in the garden. No problem they quickly set up the conservatory for us. The food was absolutely delicious. Staff could not have been any nicer or more accomodating. Absolutely deserve 5 stars. Thank you so much to all the staff at The Fox Haslington highly recommended.

Right from the start the staff were brilliant, especially as we had someone who suffers with food allergies, we were well looked after by Rohan who was very efficient. All the food was excellent and with plenty of choice. We’ll definitely be back.

We had a lovely meal this evening. Callum looked after us and was excellent at recommending dishes off the menu when we couldn’t decide. Perfect recommendations. Thanks Callum and thanks Ego. Great food and great service .

Lovely pub and a very varied menu, the food was all very nice but the service was appalling, and before we had even lodged a complaint they had halved the bill, which seemed fair

It's been a few years since I ventured into what used to be called The Fox in Haslington, however I have to say the food and staff were simply outstanding.

We arrived just before our time of 19.00hrs, 7 in the party. 40 minutes later the waitress decided to come and ask if we would like any drinks, we replied yes we would and can we order our at the same time. Food and drinks ordered. Drinks arrive then the starters and children's pizza, which turned out to be adult pizza's and one had peppers on which were not ordered. Very poor show for this meal, been better of going the Station Pilot for cheap food

Lovely well priced food in a lovely setting . Manager helped with a booking oversight . All staff ready to help and advise would give more than 5 stars if possible

Came her for my partner birthday meal. Best meal I’ve had in a long time. Staff were so nice and friendly. Help us with everything, made sure we had room for our pram. There was 11 of us so had to pre order and they got it spot on. Would definitely go back.

Daylight robbery! £18 for 7 small pieces of chicken on a kebab? The manager on duty was absolutely disgusting, huffing and puffing because I didn’t think this was good value for money, I have now got a new career selling small pieces of chicken for an over inflated price, anyone fancy 7 small pieces for near on £20 I’ll deliver! You really need to drop your ego!!!

The few times we have visited over winter we have found it to be quite cold! Looking around, quite a few people are sat with coats on. Love the food though 😋

Could not fault the food or service but the person who showed us to our table and the same person who we paid the bill to really needs to be more welcoming and have a bit more patience when dealing with elderly people and not show such arrogance.

Great food, great choice and great service. Free parking too if you can find a space.

I do like Ego especially when they have one of their steak night offers on. Service is always very good. Food is value for money. Upgraded to 5 stars since my last visit *last night - 50% off main courses - great steak, great service. Free Carparking. Not fond of the "Ed Sheeran" playalike but that's just my musical taste (which is a bit more raw) and doesn't reflect on the place as a whole.

Had a brilliant NewYear’s Eve meal at Ego in Hasslington, delicious food and lovely attentive staff, the only reason I could only give 3 stars for atmosphere was because the DJ was so poor- he played really dated music instead of a good mix of classic dance tracks and good songs and unbelievably didn’t make anything of the build up to midnight- I’m not joking - he did nothing at all to mark the new year, the main event and the reason we were all there! No getting the celebratory atmosphere going by calling everyone together around the bar to get ready with blowers or poppers, absolutely no countdown at all, so no atmosphere built up with the crowd in readiness- such a huge disappointment for the key moment! At 20 seconds to go we realised he wasn’t going to mark the changing year at all so we obviously got our gang together and did our own cheer but unbelievable to hold a new year event and not make anything of new year at all for your guests - for goodness sake who was in charge of the plan to mark and celebrate the New Year? We made our own celebrations of course so people around us then realised it was midnight and only then did the DJ say belatedly ‘happy new year’ what a shame as the food and staff were brilliant and very good value and we’ll certainly go again for meals but we’d only go at new year again if we were guaranteed a proper countdown and good music for the main event - the New Year!

We came here for NYE having not visited before, although know people who have and we have been to another Ego. Had an excellent night! Food was amazing. The service was exceptional, all the staff worked so hard and were all so friendly. It was lovely to see them all come together just before midnight! It was a great atmosphere without being over crowded. Loved the singer and the music. We will definitely return for a 'normal' night out and certainly return for NY 🥳

My first visit here and I was not disappointed. I was really surprised to find out that there was a whole vegan menu, and the choice was huge. I'm not used to having that much choice! I had the courgette fritters and then the tart for dessert, both were really nice. The service was amazing, staff very attentive and the place has a lovely atmosphere. Also I thought that the prices were pretty good too. I will return to try the other dishes.

What a beautiful setting. Absolutely wonderful, delicious food, bright and warm environment, lovely, helpful staff and great background music which wasn't too loud.

Bardzo smaczne jedzenie, soczysty kurczak, dania z menu dla dzieci ok. Jednak zupa krem była tak gęsta, że mogła uchodzić za sos do spaghetti. Pyszny deser brownie. Byliśmy uczestnikami większej imprezy, było kilka drobnych potknięć, np brak dodatkowego sztućca do deseru. Nie polecam talerza owoców dla dzieci. Składa się z kilku malin i 3 plasterków pomarańczy

We recently held a wake at Ego at the Fox following my father in law's funeral. The staff were very friendly, helpful and professional from the outset. The booking process was very easy and arrangements on the day were excellent. The quality and quantity of the food was very good. Thanks to all at Ego for making such a sad day a little easier for us.

My partner Karen & I ate here last.night, we were presented with the new menu, too be honest it's a bad new menu, I ended up with 3 starters because the main menu was terrible. Camembert, squid, ordered salmon and dill fishcakes they didn't turn up, Karen had pizza I even got charged for the salmon.. We have been 6 times and normally we look forward to going, but with this new bad menu we will give it a miss, on a positive the young lady looking after us was great, bring back the old menu

Very average food, not seasoned correctly,very expensive not much seafood in the Paella quite dissapointing really.

Food was great, we went for Sunday dinner and I highly recommend the roast! I'm only giving 4 stars as we found the service really slow. Took 40mins to take our order and took a while to clear table and bring the bill and I wouldn't say it was busy.

Excellent service, food and drink. Not sure we like the change in menu, as I wanted paella but the morrocan lamb was beautiful.

Been a few times. Never been perfect. Might be the last time tonight. Party of 6 of us and 2 of the meals were inedible as they were burned. One had been tried to be hidden too as the burned side had been put face down (properly burned too - not just a little blackening). Sadly despite the staff being friendly the service was appallingly slow. We waited 25 mins after finishing mains (wanting to order desserts at that time) before we had to ask for the bill whilst all the plates were still out. Strange - it was like we were invisible. One table arrived whilst we were eating our main and they had their desserts before we had our bill! Even once we got the bill the painful wait for the card machine was torture. It wasn’t busy. There were plenty of seemingly free staff. Such a shame as I live in the village - I’ll have to continue to travel outside the village to eat.

Popped in for lunch. Fabulous,great menu, really smart decor. Had wraps off the light bite menu,really authentic and very tasty. Really worth a visit will definitely go again.
