This place is now called Fire & Ice. Great coffee. Great service. Fantastic choice of Breakfasts. With outside seating and improved/ more comfortable bench seating around the room.

Really nice place, the food was good, the staff were nice, nice atmosphere. Recommend!

Our hotel doesn’t supply breakfast so headed to this cafe, great selection and really tasty food. Friendly people working there, really nice to see lots of regulars meeting up.

Awful!! Really over priced. £4 for one slice of hallomi fried, cut up and called it hallomi "fries" 6 onion rings for £4 milkshakes £4 and it was nesquik mix and milk. Berry Smoothy was just frozen berry's blended, I obviously didnt know this when ordering or really woulnt have bothered. The only good thing was the waitelress, she was lovely and very embarrassed when we spoke about pur experience. Really not impressed at all could have done a better job at home and be 30 quid better off.

Had a lovely lunch here. Staff were very welcoming. Had a panini which was very tasty and would definitely go back again.

Popped in for a cup of tea one hour before closing. Told immediately on entry that food was no longer being served (absolutely fine with us but just a pointer for those wishing to dine here). Ordered our drinks but felt increasingly rushed as the staff started to clean around us (a bit of debris even flew off the neighbouring table, hitting my partner!). Staff sat exasperated on the table next to us, clearly signalling it was time for us to be leaving (half an hour until closing by this point). Wasn’t a very enjoyable experience and won’t be returning. Staff need some basic training on customer service and etiquette.

Lovely atmosphere very good service good prices good food a really nice place to go for a coffee and cake. And the staff make you feel welcome. It's a gem of a place!

Just had lunch after walk round Poyton Pool with daughter and dog, sat outside, dog bowl with water plus free sausage.good lunch worth a visit.

Me and my family came here and really enjoyed our experience, we all loved our meals and the service was prompt and very friendly. We will definitely be back.

Lovely place. Lavazza coffee always a winner and attention to detail when serving cake. Spoon with softer cake and fork with sponge cake. Its all in the detail. Would definitely recommend

Ordered a tuna and sweetcorn sandwich for £7. Struggled to find the tuna -chef said it was standard!

Absolutely love this place, service is always 10 out of 10 as is the food and drinks. I came with my family earlier today and even though they were very busy, we were served very promptly and had a laugh with the staff. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants great food, drinks and atmosphere 😁

This was the first time I had been to this cafe it was really lovely my husband had the Greek salad which was excellent I had a sandwich and we both had drinks the guy who served us was really friendly we will definitely be going again would highly recommend.

Fire and Ice cafe has left the best impression! Delicious dishes, friendly staff, I recommend to everyone! I will definitely be coming back here again and again! The staff know what they are doing, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. The staff truly care about your experience and they made us feel very welcome. The food is amazing, it was fresh and delicious and I enjoyed every single bite of it! I’ve had breakfast and lunch here and I highly recommended, you really can’t go wrong with this place! Coffees are soo good too I’ll be back soon can’t wait!

Oww I love this cafe ! I had a lovely breakfast food was spot on coffee perfect and owner was nice and chatty! We decided to come back for lunch I had a delicious chicken pesto toastie! I’ll definitely be back to try other things on the menu.

Friendly and speedy service. Food was presented nicely but all crockery was stained and dirty. Everything needs to go in a very hot dishwasher. The teapot very stained on the outside, the milk pot had bits in it. The saucer was grey and streaky. Chairs were covered in crumbs and the floor was filthy. Such a shame as they know how to cook. Needs a heavy lick of paint and some tlc.

Arrived with my young daughter for breakfast. We waited and waited and waited for service (or even a welcome and a menu). Decided eventually to take our business elsewhere. The "ice" could be illustrative of the warmth of the welcome to new customers... Will not be back.

First time visiting here and I was no disappointed. I ordered a full English breakfast and everything was delicious, I have been fancying one for awhile and it really did hit the nail on the head.

We were greeted with a very warm welcome from the staff which was lovely. We had the full English breakfast and two large cappuccinos. The full English was nice. The bacon was excellent. My only slight criticism was that the toast was a bit burnt for me but apart from that it was very good and reasonably priced.

We visited this cafe after a walk around Poynton. The menu is extensive. The staff are attentive. Very reasonable prices. Food was delicious. We had a great lunchtime meal.

Terrible meal wish we hadn’t bothered. We went in for some lunch. Ordered two cups of tea to start no spoon to take out the tea bag and nothing to put the tea bag on, two spoon were then plonked on the table. Then my friend ordered a bacon and cheese toastie. To be told NO BACON they had run out. He decided he didn’t want anything else . I ordered a cheese ham and tomato toastie and a portion of chips between us. When the toastie came it was thin bread with hardly any filling my friend had half of my toastie, no ham in it hardly any cheese and 1/2 a cherry tomato on mine , nothing on his half. The chips were £2 and the smallest portion of chips I have seen a baby could eat more, not even a potato. No serviette no knife and fork, they has put a small bit of lettuce on the plate with a small cherry tomato. Had to eat with my fingers. There is a Waitrose up the road an Aldi and a Morrison’s close by, so could have got some bacon. Terrible service I complained to the owner who didn’t seem at all bothered I asked why he didn’t send out for bacon he declined to answer. He took a bit of money off my bill. They were lucky I paid anything. Never again what a rip off

We headed as a couple during the (currently ongoing) Eat Out to Help Out scheme. There were limited options for vegetarians, but I was able to customise my order to remove the meet. The smoothies were also great.

First time visit, but can see why it’s so popular. Generous sized cappuccino & good proportion of chocolate on the millionaire shortbread. Very friendly service. Good number of outside tables for sitting in the sunshine and at10.30am every single one was occupied! Customers ranged from retired, to young family & cycling groups. Obviously the fashionable place to be in Poynton!

We chanced upon this place at the start of a new cycling route for our regular Sunday ride. It was pleasantly busy, nice atmosphere and we sat outside (don’t fancy going inside anywhere at the moment). Luckily the sun was shining so it was fine. Only a couple of coffees and some cake, but good prompt service. It’s nice to support local independents.

Very enjoyable. The omelette looked slightly flattened and odd but quickly served with a good portion of nice, freshly cooked chips and fresh salad at a very reasonable price. The coffee was good as well. Better than the local Costa but that's not hard. The coffee cost the market rate but it seems bonkers that it is nearly 60% of the cost of the meal. The guy at the counter looked very unhappy with life. I don't want a rigid smirk but he was not exactly welcoming.

We live in the village, but it was last month before we had a chance to try Fire & Ice. We both had the excellent Healthy Breakfast ( see the pic already posted of the eggs/bacon/avocado), washed down with the Lavazza coffee. Friendly service and great food, we want to visit on one of the Mezze nights.

My husband and I ate here on 14 February and had the mezze with a bottle of wine. Fantastic value for £25. Nice mix of food and very tasty, we then shared a chicken kebab and that was very very tasty. Would definitely recommend.

Was passing through the area this week and stopped here for a late lunch. Great, friendly welcome and service. Food was excellent and venue was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend.

This was my first visit and there are plenty of cafes to choose from in Poynton but this was good. The staff were very welcoming and we had nice cake and coffee with a cozy winter atmosphere. Great thanks!

Met friend to have a catch-up and hot drink on a cold afternoon. Lots of people coming in and others eating. It was great to have our drinks brought to us.

Came in for breakfast having had an early start. Food arrived quickly and was tasty - no complaints there. Price was good too.As first timers, I did find the service a little flat, but when people who appeared to be regulars came in, the owner’s mood lifted a little. We’d certainly come back next time we’re in Poynton.

The menu was quite extensive (for a café) and the prices very reasonable. The young people that served us were very warm and friendly, the food was good and the service efficient. Although an exciting name, there was little ambience in the restaurant probably due to the restaurant being quite empty for a lunchtime, and also the interior was very drab (wall decorations possibly a job lot from a car boot sale).The owner was by the entrance when we left. I felt it would have been appropriate to have been given a smile, or a goodbye, or a thankyou, or perhaps even some assistance as my wife struggled with the badly fitting door, but nothing. The younger members of staff could certainly give him some customer service lessons. Thus the name fire and ice explained – a hot and cold experience!

Nice place to eat, excellent service and good food. Very good value for money. Parking is a bit tricky but well worth a visit

seafood salad - plenty of tuna, prawns, smoked salmon - excellent value - and a glass of wine - perfect price vey competative and worth the money - make the effort to go (homemade cakes to go - to die for!)

Staff are brilliant, attentive, excellent customer service, very homely tearoom style. Very relaxing, friendly, amazing food.

Just been to fire and ice for the mezze really nice home made food good value for money a nice friendly atmosphere wine nice also nothing was to much. Would definitely recommend it and will definitely go back

Lovely Meze and Chicken Souvlaki . Fire and ice is a cafe by day but is doing food in the evening on a Friday and Saturday ! The food was lovely , just like what we have had in Turkey in the past . Lovely addition to the village with friendly service too

Called for a quick lunch and was promptly served with a very large coffee and ordered a BLT sandwich which was quickly delivered. Good, strong coffee and a decent sandwich. Very good value and would definitely visit again if I’m in the area.

The café opens on Friday and Saturday evenings for mezze and Turkish food. I'd really recommend it. The evening we went, there was a good atmosphere and the food was great value for money and much better than some of the more expensive restaurants in Poynton. There was a good selection on the menu and the café has a licence for serving alcohol. The service is friendly and helpful. I think it is an excellent addition to the Poynton eating out venues and we'll definitely go again soon.

Full of the intent to go to a well known burger restaurant for breakfast this morning my wife said you need something healthy instead. So decided to go into the village to Fire & Ice. Wow how good is the place. I have a “healthy breakfast” (see photo) of bacon, poached egg and avacado on sourdough bread... fabulous. The cafe was very busy deservedly so but service was quick and very friendly. Definitely coming back. Recommend as a must try

I went in for lunch yesterday with my little boy. It is extremely good value for money and Kevin, one of the owners, was very friendly to me and my 3 year old and made us feel very much at home. They have a lovely specials menu, a kids menu with very generous portions and lots of sandwiches. We have also tried the Meze which is also so tasty very good value for money. A great friendly place where the owners make an effort to welcome you. We will definitely return.

I was waiting to be collected and needed a quick coffee. Service was quick, and staff very pleasant. I was able to grab a newspaper and catch up on today's news and 'opinions' sitting comfortably in the sun. My ride arrived and I was readily able to get a drop of cold milk to allow for a quick drink. Nice looking eats.
