Love this place! Staff are amazing, the atmosphere is so unique and the location is perfect. Stands out the most from other places in knutsford. Well worth a visit. I've heard there's a new beer garden bar opening and some exciting events being put into place 😍

Went to the Freaky Disco night. Great music selections, disco edits , nu-disco and such like , those guys know their stuff. Bar service was quick and friendly. A lovely little place.

Fab service from the team at W&W Knutsford this Saturday. We used the “pink room” as a private party space and everything we asked for was done to perfection. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was fresh and tasty. Everyone had a brilliant time - thank you!

Friendly staff very accomodating. Dog friendly which was a bonus. Staff understood allergies and gave us correct info. Food came quickly and was delicious, will be going again

Awful service last night. Ordered 2 drinks and waited forever! Waitress apologised saying ticket problems at bar. Said drinks would be reduced in price. Paid at bar and charged full price. Won't be back

Don’t bother, we arrived at 12:30pm on a Monday afternoon for my daughter’s birthday to be told sorry we don’t do food until Thursday, the guy that told us at the door had a terrible attitude, once told they don’t do food until Thursday he shut the door on us. Definitely won’t be going back, one more thing, it’s also a cashless establishment, very disappointing

13/10/23: shocking service, ordered 5 beers and 3 x double espresso coffees. Coffees had to be requested twice as server forgot to make them. Waited another 20 minutes and went to speak to bar staff again, 2 of which were dancing on the floor. Reminded them about the drinks. Shortly arrived 3 Americanos (not double espresso) and an apology that a party of 6 had placed a large order. Still enjoyed the drinks, still liked the layout and little drinking rooms and outside area. Would possible return at a later date for a second chance.

What an awful place this is. The food is very expensive, poor quality and the staff are incompetent at doing their jobs. I would never go here again and if you want a good night out, then neither will you.

On a date night decided to go wine and and wallop, which turned out to be great experience as the food was tasty and beautifully cooked. The service was top class and Sam was excellent looking after us.

Absolutely normally love the wine and wallop and recommend it, however today service was rubbish I ordered a chicken burger at £12 and followed up with does it come with anything g with passing waitress she said no so ordered some triple cooked chips When it arrived I got my burger only and the f (half the burger bun was almost empty) then followed with skinny fries to which I advised I ordered triple cooked chips (that had too much seasoning on) I had to ask for cutlery and remind staff for Mayo. When asking for the bill we waited 15 mins and then decided to go downstairs to pay which our server and 3 others were behind the bar talking - no apology etc Have a look at my lonely burger whilst I waited a further 5-10 minutes for my chips. Won’t be eating here again!

Lovely place, great atmosphere and super friendly helpful staff. Had some lovely malbec red wine and the BEST EVER cheesy chips!!! (Not even on the menu! We just asked and they did it for us!) They had a choice of triple cooked fat chips or thin fries. We went for the fat chips, the cheese was gorgeous and perfectly melted all over the chips. They also threw some herbs (rosemary maybe?!) on the whole lot - absolutely delicious. Amazing. All served in two piping hot low bowls on a thick wooden cheese board type tray. Really fab. Wish I'd taken a photo to upload. Next time I will, then edit this review and add the photo in!. Thanks. Highly recommended. A++ :-) PS. They have a lovely upstairs/outside terrace too.

Yet again Wine and Wallop did not disappoint. The Surf and Turf shared platter for two was excellent and well worth the short wait. Scallops, prawns, steak and a variety of other meat dishes were tasty and appealing. The garlic and lime(?) mayo was incredible and all served with oodles of focaccia and pitta bread. Love the staff in here - their banter is excellent

Busy pub and late night disco, good food, drink and cocktail selection.

First time we properly tried if, great staff - very good Bloody Mary and will be back.

Went here for a work do, and there's was a bartender who made the night for me, all I asked for was a surprise G&T and every single drink was delivered to perfection!

Walked in with my friend and my doggie. Went upstairs to find an outdoor area. How lovely … staff were very attentive , happy and genuinely concerned about our needs. Food was DELICIOUS! I ordered Chicken roast . The BEST roast dinner ever! Wine and side order. PERFECT!

Best pub in Knutsford without a doubt

A really lucky find. Wandered around a double of places and then "settled" on Wine & Wallop. What a find?! We both had the Sunday roast, and it's the best I've had for some time. Delightful beef, lovely potatoes and veg (all cooked in an interesting but unfussy manner) and and excellent Yorkshire pudding. Will be back.

Great atmosphere, lovely staff; Roisin is fab! Tried the food today, vegan burger really lovely, my friends steak frites was great too. Drinks are well priced, and nice outside area too and dog friendly. 🥂

Nice little place in the town centre of Knutsford ,only issue was this Saturday just gone had a visit and ordered 2 glasses of pinot ,to be told they had run out ??..it was 1.15pm in the afternoon on a Saturday ..to run out of pinot takes some doing for a wine bar..co ops only 100yards down the road with plenty of pinots for sale in an emergency.. if i was running it id be fuming hearing customers told that ,and as we ordered something else 2 other customers in earshot were told the same 1 couple walked out ..1.15 on a Sat come on ..othetwise nice little place and worth a visit

Great place good service from lovely people

New years eve had a great atmosphere and the staff were lovely to everyone, obviously very busy but they handled it very well and kept the queue moving quickly. Polite and respectful even when some customers weren't back to them, very professional.

Delightful place with super food and gorgeous staff.

Nice setting. Nice food and friendly staff. However they told us that they were short staffed and that the light lunch we ordered would take 30 minutes. It took 50 minutes! If the service had been quicker then I would have rated it 5 stars and they had the cheek to add 10% service charge.

Great new menu and finally serving food reliably 7 days a week with the new management. Worth a trip down if you haven't in a while. I would however like to see some more items on the menu.

Really liked this quirky little place, the garden was lovely. Just stopped for a drink as couldn't book a table for food.

Great place to go for just a drink or food too. Sunday roast was fabulous. Dog friendly as well. The man even went down the road to a pet shop to get treats for out dog Misty so she did not miss out.

Complete surprise. Another Tardis with multiple rooms all to ourselves on a wet Wednesday afternoon. Even so it has a great vibe. Boothroyd pictured with his fave grouo of all time..The Velvet Underground ..and Nico.(Andy Warhol factory days.) Hidden garden terrace. Two floors of seating. 4 real ales normally but only one on this wet Wednesday. A stout from Brightside. Lovely. Good wine. Lovely toilets.

Slow service. No staff communication so you are asked if you'd like a drink by multiple staff after ordering one. Takes a good 15mins for drinks to arrive. Ordering another drink (as they do table service) is hard work. We ended up giving up getting another drink and just paying the bill and leaving.

Good food, cosy atmosphere, nice staff, dog friendly. Service is not quick but it's a chill place, for a nice afternoon not a quick bite.

A modern bar that somehow manages to capture the atmosphere of a traditional pub. A fine choice of local real ales including, on my visit, a cask mild. Food is not the cheapest - Sunday roast came with a generous portion of meat, and nicely cooked roast potatoes and four vegetables. Very popular with dog owners, canines being welcome throughout the pub.

Upscale wine bar with an atmospheric upper terrace. Service is generally friendly and polite, although it can be slow unless you're happy to 'jump on' a member of staff. The Löwenbräu on draft is particularly good.

Cute little find! Very dog friendly (she got a free icecream, winner!) , really chilled vibe and the food was great. We chose a few dishes from the small plates menu and we're not disappointed. We will definitely be back!

Amateur unprofessional service today. Loved it when they had the hatch/window open on the street earlier in the year but today the team on shift were really bad - couldn’t even get a cappuccino out of them without waiting 15 minutes and then telling us it was “the morning shifts fault that they had run out of milk” - as if we need to know that. we got a refund and left - disappointing experience.

Lovely roof terrace and extremely dog friendly! I was so impressed they brought over a water bowl and complimentary doggy ice cream for my pup! (Actually a very clever move on their part as I'm sure it will help dogs to settle down better!). Just could do with having a drinks menu available online especially given no paper ones are available due to covid.

Great addition to the bar and pub scene in Knutsford. Always four cask ales on the hand pumps, typically all pale or golden IPA style. The decor is artistically quirky and includes some sofas. There are rooms on three levels and an outdoor area to the rear.

Beautiful quirky roof top terrace Food used to be innovative and superb tapas type dishes. Unfortunately the food is not up to the standard it was. Also mistake no wine menu.very sneeky as Wine totally overpriced . We have been caught out before so ask price or an average bottle of wine could be over £30. Big shame as the place is lovely and very helpful staff.

Lovely lunch today here, staff were nice and friendly except the middle aged man didn’t quite know his name. Was quite pleased to see vegan options. We ordered vegan burger, tempura vegetables and ciabatta. Food was excellent. Cocktails were nice as well. Will definitely come here again and hope to feel more welcomed next time 😊

Stopped off for a drink recently. Nice place, good atmosphere, but more expensive than London prices.

We ate food here yesterday and it was all incredible and it was by (Rey del Cerdo) who are only there for a few more weeks so get yourself there for the BEST burrito I’ve had in a long time! We then tried the churros and they were delightful! I highly recommend going to try the food by (Rey del Cerdo) accompanied with a lovely glass of wine by wine and wallop!

In contrast to my previous review of the place I've dropped to three stars. This is no reflectiom of food quality (which still looked to be excellent) but a reflection on the organisation. I entered, was told to find a seat upstairs and wait for someone to take my order. After 10 minutes I left as no one had acknowledged me or enquired whether I would like a drink or food. I understand this can happen when busy but its what separates a good venue from am average one. I hope this is addressed soon.

TACOS TO DIE FOR! You need to come and eat the food here before they (Rey del Cerdo) move on. Proper tacos and small plates - absolutely genuine quality food and flavours to blow your mind! Come for a wine and have some tacos, you will not regret it!! So delicious!!!

Lovely bar to go and have a drink and chat. Matryn the manager is always very friendly and knows how to run an excellent establishment, even smiles politely when we are going on about what beer he should buy ! All the staff are brilliant and work well together as a team. A wide range of ages all go here and makes for a great atmosphere.A fanatastic selection of real ales, tap beers and wines. A small but very tasty selection of Mexican food which is well worth a try. Well worth a visit if you are in Knutsford.On a side note read Cheshirechick679's review of here last week and made my laugh as I fear my group of friends may be the "Old" people she is referring to. She can rest assured if she comes in we will try very hard not to talk of the “old times” or look at her and she will be perfectly safe passing us as we would not dare speak to anyone who is born after 1970 as we are more frightened of them then they are of us ;-).

Really unhappy to be writing this review.After several visits since they reopened it has got worse and worse. There is NO social distancing (at all), we had to fight through a large group of people who I would be shocked if they were above 18, all the tables had been pushed together I would say to accommodate around 15 people. We ordered drinks and waited over 45 minutes for them to arrive despite asking team members 3 times, they were so dismissive and not bothered about our complaints that we almost left (we didn’t because it was sneaking up to the 10pm cut off).I understand they were busy but we had been in earlier in the day with 2 people and we had waited 30 minutes for two drinks and we were one of 5 tables that we counted throughout the building. We complained at this point as well but again, no care was given. We are a very understanding group and if a little care and concern had been given for our wait/bad experience then this review would never have been written.

This place is fabulous called in one Sunday the food looks lovely they had,a live band on the atmosphere was great.since this,awful virus came,along this place actually makes you feel like you did before March which is NORMAL and that takes a very special.place to do that.thanks so much and,we will continue to support you in the future.kind regards Karen and Colin.

I’ve been into the Wine and Wallop a few times, it’s a brilliant bar. Great wine and service. However, there is a huge arrogance around COVID. No social distancing with 15+ people in very tight spaces and a complete disregard for basic COVID regulations (took name and number but no QR code for track and trace). Avoid at peak times if you do not want to risk getting COVID.

Me and Sarah ate at Rey Del Cerdo when it was based at Hatch in Manchester, we were gutted when they relocated to knutsford, as it became a favourite of ours, without question, the freshest, tastiest food we've had in Manchester, We have a couple of days off work, so we drove down from Bolton, We were served drinks immediately, and we made it clear we wanted tacos, but it became obvious we'd been forgotten so I went downstairs to the bar and requested a menu, I returned upstairs and we made up our minds as to what we were having, then waited for a waitress, and waited.... Other groups seemed to get drinks orders immediately same as us, there didn't seem to be an issue with staffing, the place wasn't overly busy, but i didn't actually see anyone eating! This was at around 3 in the afternoon. We were there for over an hour before deciding to go, nothing was said to us by the barmaid when we paid for drinks even though she knew we wanted to eat. The ineptness of the bar/waiting staff will affect Rey del cerdo, and in the current climate, this is the last thing they would want.

I love it here it's amazing only really discovered it once it was knocked through and made larger, the terrace looks amazing for instagram pictures and it's my new local :) Nice chilled vibe, good cocktails friendly chilled staff.Would have been 5 stars but there's a lot of old people in there talking about what Knutsford used to be like however they tend to stay downstairs and stick to their own kind so if you hold your breath and avoid their eye contact until you get to the terrace you're normally fine.

Entirely agree with a number of the negative reviews below. Again, as a local in knutsford I was excited about the prospect of wine and walloping opening in our town given I used to frequent the didsbury bar when I previously lived in south Manchester. For a long period of time, W&W knutsford lived up to the high expectations and became a favourite for our social group. That was until over recent weeks/months. From reopening after COVID over the summer, the experience has got gradually worse and has exactly become like some kind of youth club with total disregard to any COVID safety measures. Since the summer reopening I have visited a few times and sadly on each occasion we came away disappointed by the lack of COVID precautions and also generally the poor level of bar staff who appear to be new to the bar since COVID. Sad to say that we won’t be visiting again until the game is “upped”.
