Was incredible to see how the barman Martin handled a Henry Hoover. A true choreographed performance. Beer was pretty good too.

As always, this little gem of a pub exceeds expectations. Hostess with the mostess Martin is uber friendly and has first class hosting skills… Super chef Clare is top notch on the foodage front. We must also applaud the rest of the team for fabulous atmosphere.

Very nice food and fast service

Was staying at Travel Lodge for a wedding and looked at reviews for this pub food so booked for our tea. They only had the menu for 2 for £12.49 which was very limited menu. I had fish and chips but had to send it back as the fish was like rubber. Spoke to staff who were quick to apologise and offered me my money back or something else. Not really somewhere I would be going back to.

Having a passing visit, the pub was just at the end of a very busy bingo session great atmosphere. The new menu looks great.

Sunday roast beef and Yorkshire pudding dinner absolutely lovley well worth the money definitely be back again soon .

best pub expierience in middlewich so far, i believe the barmaid who served me was called izzy and there was another lovely lad called josh. they were both very lovely . brilliant atmosphere. would recommend

Can’t comment on food because I’ve never eaten here but visit here regularly for drinks, quizzes, bingo and many family events. The place is now a thriving venue and we love visiting. We’re not especially local but happy to travel for a really great atmosphere and great evenings. All staff are brilliant 🤩

I have to say i visited the turnpike today and ordered roast chicken and it was lovely plenty of vegetables and roast potatoes and a lovely Yorkshire pudding all in all a great meal, thank you.

Lovely local with great staff. Chris is brilliant especially. Nothing is ever to much trouble for him. Food is amazing especially the cookie dough it’s to die for. Great choice of beers, fridges always full. Complete turn around from the previous landlady.

Been to The Turnpike several times now. Food is amazing with many options to choose from. Service and bar staff are very friendly and accommodating. Entertainment is decent and always a good atmosphere especially karaoke night!! Get yourself down there, highly recommended!

The Turnpike is my local, the staff are amazing... since they have taken over there is a breath of fresh air within the building. Food is as promised 7 days a week. On the plus side the staff are trying different avenues to attract new clientle.

Very nice food if they ever sell some. Quite confusing advertisement on that. Always when we ask they don't serve any. Once we were lucky and it was very nice. Otherwise nice place to go in Middlewich and good staff.

We enjoyed our meal. The menu has the basics you expect from a pub. All meals were tasty with decent portion sizes. We thoroughly enjoyed the desserts which were huge! Easily share one between two. Basic selection of drinks. Sadly no real ale. Toilets were clean. Staff friendly.

Food is quite expensive but all in all a nice place to drink.

We as a family have been a few times. The food was good the 1st time. The 2nd time meat was chewy, but we can all get that wrong. But yesterday, the Sunday roast was almost inedible, the veg was totally raw, apart from roast potatoes. When I mentioned to the chef, who asked me how the meal was, his response was maybe I should start cooking it in the morning for you. I don't ming a slight crunch. But this was raw. So we went home hungry.

Just want to say what great service and beautiful food once again yesterday . 😋 highly recommend. Xx

Would like to say a big thank you to the Staff at the Turnpike we had the Lunch meal deal with a drink the food was Fantastic and great valve and the Staff made us feel very welcome great service and food we will be back .

Really good entertainment and atmosphere

Visited as newcomers to the area and was greeted warmly by Michelle and her staff. Chose lasagne from the menu. Came in a hot skillet with garlic sourdough bread and a side salad. Really tasty hot food and good value for money. Will certainly be visiting again and thank you for helping us to feel welcome

The Turnpike is my favourite pub in Middlewich. All of the staff work so hard to make sure there is a friendly and welcoming atmosphere not just for revisit punter but new punters too!

Refitted to a really high standard, great prices, friendly staff. This is exactly what we needed this end of town. Thought I would put an update on seems some very petty people like to score points with fake reviews. Stand by my earlier reviews, really friendly staff and kept to a high standard. Try for yourselves.

Brilliant night watching Maine tonight

Not been in years nice and big inside drinks reasonable quick look at food prices iv seen better it still looks a bit ruff on the outside needs money spending outside on better quality seating and landscaping to attract passing trade

I am a rapid responder covering emergency care across Cheshire, I sat down outside to have a rest and within 5 minutes a manager called Michelle came outside and told me if I’m not drinking there I need to move along. I explained I was waiting for my colleague who was 5 min away and she still asked me to buy a drink. I wouldn’t mind but I’m in full uniform covering emergency care and she was very rude and didn’t care.

Nice place, Good prices, friendly locals. I think this place has been recently renovated and is well decorated and clean and new, including the toilets. They have a pool table, and a dance floor, there was a band called memory lane on. Playing some golden oldies for the dancers in the place. Cocktails and food too.

Absolute worst experience EVER!🤢 Carpet was sticky with God knows what substance, but that wasn’t even the worst part - the owner(?) was walking around with no shoes!! (surely this must be a breach of covid guidelines/laws). Food came stone cold and tasted like a microwave meal and to top it all of my long-awaited pint was flat and warm🙄 Safe to say i won’t be returning!

*TIRGGER WARNING* Absolutely awful I recommend anyone (especially ones with family) stay away from this place! I went in the other day and waited almost 30 minutes just to be served (the pub was practically empty). Just to be served by the so called ‘waiter’ Who I think is one of the owners of this establishment came out with no shoes on and his feet absolutely stank! 🤢 safe to say it killed my appetite I then entered the toilets to my horror to find a big smelly p*o on one of the urinals! The most shocking experience in my life safe to say I’ll never be returning…

Good night. Good family feeling. Service a bit slow at times (drink wise) but only what to be expected in these times. Perhaps they could do with another person helping out. But overall good nlght
