We wre enjoy s family outing walking along alderley edge this tearoom was perfectly placed by the national trust car park we decided to pop in and we had a cheese and onion toastie and a festive bap to say the food was top quality was a understatement honestly I've never tasted such a amazing sandwich the staff were very polite friendly and a wonderful setting I even want back to tell them in person the food was amazing will be going back for seconds well worth a vist

I was really looking forward to my visit but was left disappointed for the following reasons. Unless you're a National Trust member it's £5 to park. All seating is outside where orders are taken from a hatch then you're name called to go and collect your items ordered, no table service. The tea came in a paper cup with the teabag in and milk already added, no teapots or even milk to add to your own taste. The soup came with croutons which were sourdough strips that was so hard I was concerned about breaking my teeth so left them to soak into the soup, there was no bread roll with the soup. The cake came in a paper bag, no plates. After finishing there is a self clear station. It cost £24 for 2 soups 2 cakes and 2 teas, rather expensive when you have to serve yourself and clear up. It all felt like an outdoor transport cafe rather than a tearooms.

We visited the Wizard Tea Rooms while attending a corporate volunteering day at Alderley Edge National Trust Park, and what a treat the Tea Rooms were! From start to finish, my colleague and I had easy communication with the lovely ladies who run the tea rooms - Harriet and Rachel. They provided us with the menu and prices in advance of the day, and we decided to opt for teas and coffees in the morning, soup and sandwiches for lunch, and another round of teas of coffees after lunch for our group of 26. One week on and I'm still talking about the delicious mushroom and garlic soup, cheese and beetroot sandwiches, BLTs and egg mayo sandwiches! We felt everything was reasonably priced, and the ladies took great care of us on the day -nothing was too much trouble. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Wizard Tea Rooms to friends and family, or corporate companies. In fact, I will be back to visit with my kids and dog for an ice cream (yes they do doggy ice cream too!) Also - the venue itself is gorgeous - seating indoors (all 26 fit inside), but plenty outside too. Really charming old-world feel inside the tea room which we all loved. Many thanks to the wonderful staff for looking after us so well - Alison and James.

Lovely but quite pricey. £16.50 for 2 small coffees and 2 portions of toasted tea bread. My main disappointment was the long 10-15 minute gap between the drinks arriving and the tea bread being ready. Why couldn't they serve the whole order at the same time? No bins for dog poo bags anywhere. Toilets back in the car park. Tea bread was beautiful though.

Lovely place but felt rather sad after a visit today. We had had a little bit of a stressful morning and took the children out for an ice cream treat. My little boy (almost 2) dropped his within seconds of the lady handing it over… I apologised and said, ‘oh dear, would it please be possible for him to have another?’ At which she replied, ‘he can but we will have to charge’. We didn’t have the money so had to sacrifice the ice cream and he was in floods of tears. He ended up with mine (obviously, which didn’t bother me at all). But I did leave with a rather sad feeling that they wouldn’t give him another after we paid £16 for 4 ice creams. Whatever happened to kindness and gesture of good will? :(

Nice area to either start or finish your walk around Alderly Edge. Right next to the large car park. Quite a few seats, some covered from the rain. It's on the expensive side, but where isn't these days. It was slow service getting drinks, you order then sit and they call out your name when your order is complete.

Stopped here after a walk around Alderly Edge for a cake and drink. Cakes were very yummy but the hot drinks were tepid and it was all on the expensive side. Wouldn't mind the price so much but it wasn't table service or anything and there wasn't even indoor seating. Plus the outside wasn't smoke free so if someone's smoking you don't even have the option to be away from it. Seems a shame as it could be lovely but I don't think I'd go again

We were veey disappointed as there was no signs of this in there website, Facebook page or on their google profile. It was an hours drive drom where we live and we had to find somewhere else to eat. The Wizards Tearoom has been on my list of places to visit for a while so I was pretty unhappy.

Okay, i’m not sure how to rate this place as I would never choose to eat outside in winter as the inside is still not open. However the food and drinks were nice, especially the hot chocolate. They were very busy but seem to have a good routine, so I doubt they will reopen inside as they have less cost being outside but still as busy. Blankets are available to help keep warm. But we were still cold. Outdoor heaters would be brilliant here. They ask you to clear your own table so they don’t have to, this is easy to do with the system they have in place. Would I come here again.. in summer definitely and winter just for a on the go hot drink.

Really disappointing and expensive. No vegan options. In the past I’ve asked for mushrooms on toast, (in the absence of a vegan option), and I got lovely field mushrooms on sour dough toast. This time I got a thin covering of slimy mushrooms on a white bap with 3 thin slices of tomato. Pretty poor. Most places have a least a pack of veggie sausages in their freezer! My coffee was nice and husbands breakfast bap was ok, but overall really disappointing for a birthday brunch.

We use this place most weeks after our walk and as mentioned previously, the café still isn't open. This is less of an issue now the weather is improving. There's blurb about the NT and the roof or something but I can't help thinking that the current situation suits. Hardy walkers are warmed up after a walk and in need of refreshment. The business doesn't have heating bills and they don't need waiting staff. They simply take your name, use a loud speaker to call you and you collect. The staff are definitely not warm and chatty, they take your order, fiddle around for ages, put your order out and shout your name. Food is good quality but overpriced, especially as it is in effect, a takeaway.

The oddfellows has new management and the chaps running it are clearly passionate about elevating the customer experience and the pub generally. From my experience they are certainly achieving that, the vibe is relaxed, unpretentious and very civilised. They have a great chef starting in January too and the menu sounds great. The beer is good and they had some real ales at very low prices which folk have been enjoying as they are changing some to update and refresh the offering. I am a firm believer in supporting local businesses that care and really make an effort for their customers, and this is certainly one of those. Top job oddies !
