Love food served in the bar area. Busy for a Friday evening but didn’t wait all that long to be served. We like the slower pace and not being rushed. Waitress was very knowledgeable about the dishes and communicated ingredients etc with confidence. Puddings and chips are too good to resist. We usually book the restaurant for occasions, but the bar area was great for a Friday night treat.

We have been visiting the legs of man for some time now it’s a favourite we keep coming back to as we know it’s excellent food here and they do the best homemade chips! We went for Mother’s Day lunch which was a set menu, very good selection and reasonably priced for 3 courses, the mothers also got an orchid as a gift nice touch I thought, they were very busy but all in all another fantastic meal, I can’t recommend this place enough, can’t wait until our next visit.

Food Good but Service Not so Good. Had duck, steak, ham and Turkey for Father in Laws birthday. The food was great - hot and tasty. Service very slow for drinks we weren’t asked for desert but we called waiter over. Deserts came but empty mains plates not cleared first. Would be 4 or 5 stars if service improved

Another visit to this wonderful establishment. Really the food is a cut above and definitely NOT pub grub. Generous portions served on very hot plates, as they should be. Delightful dining room, beautifully furnished, yet cosy. Great staff, very reasonable lunch menu, and the drinks aren’t overpriced either. A satisfying and rewarding visit - yet again. Highly recommended.

Excellent food, good atmosphere, very friendly staff. Superb value especially the three course fixed menu. We went for a Sunday lunch and were extremely impressed by all the above. Very good menu choices.

Haven't been in years, but decided to give the legs of man a try for my birthday lunch. There were three of us. We did reserve a table. It was a Monday lunchtime. We arrived on time and it 12.15 but it was packed out. We were shown to our table. We all had the fixed lunchtime 3 course menu. Wow what a lunch, wonderful friendly staff, no pressure to leave very reasonably priced, will definitely be back. Ps the cheesecake is fabulous!!! Couldn't fault anything!!!

We booked a table for 3 yesterday lunchtime. For my birthday. The bar was busy on arrival and the restaurant was full too. Lovely atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and attentive without being too pushy. We had the lunch time menu. We all had different meals but we couldn't fault any of them. Everything was excellent. We really enjoyed it. Will definitely be going back. We felt it was really good value for the money.

Nice oldy worldy pub /restaurant, very busy on a Sunday, definitely come again but would ask to sit in the dining room we had the worst possible table ,3 foot from the bar felt like we were in a goldfish bowl, and people were coming in and out around out table, and standing at the bar literally touching our table!! Food was excellent staff were excellent no other complaints at all , we had travelled 1 hr 45 minutes to come here but was worth it , very reasonable priced too , £21.95 3 course meal ,all meals get bowl of homemade chips no matter what you order which is a generous touch....recommend cheesecake, very good ....

Excellent food Excellent service very attentive and friendly, only downside was our table, literally 2/ 3 foot from the bar, people were coming and going around us constantly, standing against our table while we're eating, definitely return but ask for a table in the dining room or the other room by the bar , very busy restaurant very reasonably priced homemade chips come with all dishes as well as potatoes, veg , cheesecake was excellent

Several friends had recommended the pub to us so we visited on a Friday lunchtime. We pre-booked our table, good job we did as every table was full! There was a set lunch menu with a good range of dishes (they were happy to swap a main course for me to a similar veggie option). You could also choose from an extensive list of a-la-carte specials if you preferred, there was several very good fish and seafood options on the board. We both chose from the set menu, the portions were huge but the food was exceptionally tasty. There was also a roll offered with the starter and a free generous bowl of chips. Although it was so busy the service was friendly and efficient. We will definitely be returning!

I book table for Sundays. Food is lovely with plenty of choice. Very relaxing and service is excellent. We don't bother going any where else as we are never disappointed.

This restaurant is absolutely amazing. Four friends visited this evening. Food absolutely superb from the extensive menu. Silver service and Becky and colleagues served us brilliantly. The sweet trolley is something else! The best restaurant for miles. Consistently outstanding. Very highly recommended.

A pre Christmas lunch with our dear friends. It did not disappoint. Traditional Christmas luncheon. Marvelous surroundings and settings. The food + beverages were splendid and scrumptious. Oh and the famous sweet trolley - no words. Definitely a return visit and recommendation for all to sample.

Booked 7 of us for a meal last night and was my first time going, food was absolutely delicious staff were attentive and friendly. The pub was lovely clean and cosy will definitely be booking again. Thankyou for a lovely evening.

I forgot how good the Legs Of Man is my family had a beautiful post Christmas meal here we booked the restaurant as there were 7 people in total and we wanted a bit of an atmosphere, the table was set beautifully and the staff were perfect, very polite and well mannered 👍🏼, Our service was spot on, food cooked perfect, lots of flavour and plenty to choose from, one word of warning save room for a pudding as they are magnificent!!! We had a three course meal of their lunchtime menu £25pp great value for money. Will be back again and this time it won't be such a long wait. Well done to all involved 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Family meal in the restaurant (ask when booking for bar or restaurant). Menu is very varied, something for everyone as evidenced by the empty plates!! Some may say this is a little old fashioned in terms of service etc, but that’s what we love about it. Vegetables served at the table, fabric napkins, dessert trolley all make for a very pleasant experience. We were welcomed at the bar, served drinks and very quickly sat at our table. All of the staff were friendly, polite and confident in their work. We can’t fault this place. Thank you !

very dissapointed, waited an hour for food, in the end we walked out after paying for the drinks that we had. People came in after us and got served within a few minutes, This may be because we asked for the bar menu as there was more choice.We where made to feel like second class citizens, would not visit again...we traveled over 30 miles for this experience.People who came after us where offered both the bar menu and the resturant menu.

Went for our annual mother and daughters Christmas lunch. All food was lovely, hot and well presented. Just missing sprouts with the turkey luncheon menu! Other than that, perfect. Starters and puddings were spot on .

Had yet another amazing meal at this amazing pub/restaurant, today 24th December, I doubt if anyone knows of a better place than this. If you have never been get yourselfs there you won't be disappointed.

Went here for a works Christmas meal. The service from the team was excellent. Really nice old pub with all the feel that comes with an old boozer! Really good choice of food and it was very nice too.

Group of 9 of us plus a toddler meeting up as our Christmas get together . Really pleased with the tables we had and the quality and value of the food. Thankyou to the chef and all the who served us.

A decent menu let down by so-so cooking. Everything was overdone except the chips.

Food was nice. Service was slow in the restaurant. Embarrassing to let staff know how long you had waited. Sat down for dinner at 18.00. still waiting to be served the pudding at 19.30, slow service.

The staff were great, very pleasant and helpful. Sadly, the food was less than average I'm afraid. Sunday Lunch Menu- I ordered the melon, turkey and cheesecake. The melon was underripe, the turkey was extremely bland and the cheesecake was large, but gelatinous and lacked flavour.

What an absolute brilliant country pub. Had lunch with my friend and couldn't believe the choices. I've nit been to a pub with so many fish dishes to choose from. I had the swordfish with vegetables and it was cooked superbly. My friend had Dover Sole and prawns. It's such great value for money too. The staff were very friendly and super efficient. I loved it so much I've booked lunch again next week.

Impressive one of a kind menu. You never get short changed here on either quality or quantity of food presented. They have lovely beer on tap too!

I've Been using this pub for a few years for food.. Which is always excellent.. Decor not to everybody's taste and is also tired in places. Service can be slow which some may find a problem.. But for a lovely meal and time to talk with friends / partners it's a great.. Extensive menu some quirky things on it.. But every dish that I've had cannot be faulted..

Well this public house NEEDS A BIG MAKE OVER ! It’s anti antiquated….don’t no but it’s 30 years since this place had cash put against it… get rid of the old chefs because they’ve gone switch on & sort it OUT

On Sunday 25th August we went for lunch at Legs of Man for my mums birthday meal out. As soon as we arrived here we were warmly welcomed to the pub, the waitresses helped to open the sliding door so that my mum who's in a wheelchair could get to our table. We were taken to our table in a lovely open room with other dinners in with plenty of room between tables. Once seated we ordered our drinks and given our menus. All the dishes on the menu sounded amazing and we were all struggling what to choose. We all chose different starters once we had decided what we were going to have. For myself there was some great options to choose from as I am vegan/vegetarian. We all really enjoyed the starters and the portion sizes were great aswell. After we finished our starters the plates were taken away and not so long after our mains arrived. The mains were all presented really well with good portion sizes, our veg was served to us with also the roast potatoes and the new potatoes. Well what more can I say about a perfect meal, all meals were piping hot, delicious and really tasty :) Once we all finished our table was cleared and we were then treated to the desserts which were shown to us on a small wooden trolley which was a really nice touch. Yet again we were all struggling with which to choose as they all looked so good! The homemade desserts were really tasty and yet again great portion sizes, we even had enough room to sneak a cup of coffee in at the end. From start to finish of our meal the service from everyone at the restaurant was absolutely brilliant and all of the meals was absolutely spot on. I have already sent a personal email to thank all the staff for the experience here and we will be returning for another birthday meal soon. Once again thank you to all staff and it's a must visit if you already haven't, keep up the amazing work!!

There was a brilliant, 70’s slide in the garden. We had just come from the Isle of Man! The food was fabulous too!

14 friends out for a birthday celebration. Excellent food and service. We were all served at the same time. A very good choice and friendly staff. Will go again.

The pate from here must have gone off 2 of us couldn’t eat it absolutely foul taste. Do not recommend coming here to anyone, ordered 4 starters all very poor quality food. Also chips all undercooked pale 🤢

Lamb very nice but cut thinly, needed steak knife to cut. Yorkshire pudding not crispy but would I go back is the question ❓ Of course !!

Chose here as a half way place to meet with friends from Telford & us from Leeds. Food was very nice presentation of starter and main was very good, Sherry trifle for dessert looked like it had been thrown onto plate lol but tasted ok. Some of staff were long faced and couldn't take a little banter. Prices were good and would return

Absolutely love the Legs of Man. The food is always top quality and the service is always friendly and excellent. I would advise to book though as it's very popular. I had the chicken with stilton for a mains and it was very very nice.

Fantastic country pub! Friendly staff and a great selection of food. Been coming here for years and never disappointed. Chicken curry (plenty of chicken fillet breast of chicken) and the beef stroganoff are my favourites. Steak pie and the fish for my husband. Mixed grill is great value if you are hungry! Great portions and great prices. Nice beer garden with a bit of a play area for the kids (3 -10 years I’d say). Plenty of parking spaces available.

Had a good giggle with the grandkids in the pouring rsin. We ate outdoors as there were no available tables inside. Adapt and overcome.

Booked a window table by the revolving door, when we arrived it was empty but it was given to someone else probably a local, ordered a steak assuming it would come with chips.....I wasn't asked and it came with potato, ordered more drinks whilst having meal which didn't arrive until I asked again. Good food but awful service.

Literally one of the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. Menu is ridiculously long and overly complex. Everything from frogs legs through to jalfrezi. All meats and all fish. Ordered a mixed grill, wasn’t asked how it was to be cooked, came well done with a load of extra onions and tomato’s on my plate. It was swimming in watery juices. The chips that accompanied were nice except for a massive long hair in them. The place reminds me of fawlty towers. Would not recommmend.

Choices, choices choices . Fantastic food at The Legs of Man. Something for everyone, starter of salt n pepper ribs, followed by tuna steak and Prawns in a garlic drizzle. Mouth watering delicious, vegetables done perfectly, what a chef. Waitresses lovely, knew the menu, polite, engaging cannot recommend this place enough. A big thank you to all for a memorable meal.

Very nice atmosphere, attracting a pleasurable crowd of customers. What I like about this place, is that they have a nice range of foods that you can’t get at many other places. For example, Veil, Frogs Legs, Swordfish, Monkfish etc. I had Veil for main, and Frogs Legs for my starter. And I highly recommend both.

Wonderful food, excellent service. You'd better be hungry if you're dining here, some of the starters are like a main meal, especially the ribs. Excellent seafood menu too, not just the standard fish and chips, but lots more.

Food horrible. Cold , 3 at table all different meals.All agreed never again. Plaice hard and warm.Lasanga on a cold plate.Pie lots of good meat and hot but 2 inch rock or was it pastry. We have been going for several years and been very good. Is it just Thursday chef. Won't be going back for a long time.if ever.

We come here quite often to meet up with friends. We always go in the restaurant which is beautifully set up and very comfortable. The food is exceptional, lots of choice on the menu, we usually go for the lunch set menu which is very reasonably priced for the quality and quantity of food they serve. Service is spot on, very professional. The lounge bar where they serve a large menu is always very busy too. Five stars all the way.

Great food and brilliant atmosphere

Lovely pub but what a shame they have absolutely nothing if you don’t eat meat or diary - literally nothing edible for anyone but a meat or diary eater! Don’t bother going here if you have any type of dietary requirement! Awful!

Stopped in for refreshments on a long drive from Scotland to London. We didn't sample the food but the menu looked very tempting. Had a chat with the Spanish guy who seemed to be the owner. Lovely atmosphere and wish we could have stayed longer.

Good food, Great company Good service

My wife and I visited for a meal, and both had wonderful meals. I can definitely recommend the Duck, but make sure you have an appetite as the portions are generous and delicious. The service was friendly and polite, and the restaurant itself was a lovely wood panelled room, giving a very old world charm.

We had such a lovely meal here with very pleasant and efficient staff. We ordered the stroganoff with rice&chips, cod and the roast turkey - everything was beautifully cooked and presented. Would definitely return,

Beautiful food and massive portions. Absolute taste explosion. Friendly staff and great service. Brilliant wine selection. I had the tuna steak, it was beautiful and the roast vegetable sauce was mind blowing.

Always really good food,service and atmosphere

We had our wedding here 9 years ago So we hold this place close to our hears it's so special .

Chips looked like yesterdays warmups. Quite burnt. Enjoyable meal though.

Third time we have been this year Good is excellent with plenty of choice on the menu and specials board. Well worth a visit

Food was mediocre, not bad. Service was professional. Atmosphere is great for the higher class, I felt out of place though.

Sadly didn't work this time. I like the Legs of Man so regret an unfavourable review. The good things - reasonable service, pleasant venue, good range of beer. This time - the steak pie was mainly mushroom and the gravy pretty much flavourless, veg average and chips (unnecessary?) the same. Lime cheesecake a very generous portion, OK. Fresh filter coffee was beautifully presented - and cold. I was there as invited, otherwise would have commented at the time.

Everything was amazing! Came for a meal after working and was served by Elisa. She was very attentive, positive, and kind. Had the fruit platter, the Chicken Hot and Spicy Stir Fry and Sticky Toffee Pudding. The chickens flavour was amazing although a bit too hot for me 😅 and everything else was delicious too. Best compliments to the kitchen staff! The music was amazing as well! Will definitely be visiting again!
