Really lovely Sunday lunch with great service from Ricki and Lorna. Nothing was too much trouble and we will definitely be back.

We came here for breakfast after staying in the hotel next door. I had the smashed avocado on sourdough with eggs…. Delicious! My husband had the granola and yogurt which was also delicious, food and service were great. Callum who took our order was friendly and professional.

This was a very enjoyable meal. Ricki was a great waitress and went the extra mile to ensure our meal was an enjoyable one. Food was hot, tasty and well presented.

1st class in every way. Very quick service, staff extremely friendly & efficient. Food was amazing, we had Smothered chicken in rich delicious sauce, & belly pork which was so tender. Great value too, a wide section of deserts we finished of work a Trio of British Classics, which included an amazing Jam Roly Poly. A Very good selection of local beers, whole experience just amazing. Thank you

Really lovely, cosy pub with great food. Perfect spot for catching up. Sausage and Mash in particular was really good. Staff are also really lovely and friendly. Would highly recommend

I am a regular at the bulls head and enjoy everything about it. I only wish they would bring back the cola glaze to go with the gammon...

Ricki was our server for the evening, our party was 8 strong. She was attentive, helpful and quick to fulfill our orders. The Bulls Head is a Chef and Brewer establishment so the quality of the food and ambience fully met our expectations. Thoroughly recommend a visit

Callum greeted us this morning at breakfast and was as helpful and friendly as he was last night at dinner. Individuals such as he are a credit to any business.

We were served by Ricki, who seemed to be rushed off her feet. Despite this, she remained attentive and always pleasant. Then we had Josh, who was friendly and personable, with a good sense of humour. Food was amazing and a lovely atmosphere with pleasant background music and not a TV in sight.

Great food and friendly staff. Lovely sun trap garden out the back, perfect for an afternoon G&T.

We had a delicious lunch here. The lunchtime sandwiches were great, service was quick, and friendly and even mid-week there was a good vibe.

Great range of food with good vegetarian options, friendly efficient staff (thanks Lorna) and recently refurbished interior and garden very nicely done.

Food was tasty - fish & chips, pork loin & chocolate brownie. Our waiter Toby was friendly and provided very efficient service.

Called in for evening dinner while staying at the adjacent Premier Inn. We were served by a lovely lady called Ricki and another lady (didn't catch her name), the service from both was excellent, very helpful with advice and friendly. My wife has Sea Bass and I had a sirloin steak, followed by 2 sweets for desert, all the food was perfectly cooked and really enjoyable, a nice big pub/restaurant and we would definitely recommend.

Came here for dinner on our way home after a round of golf at Mottram Hall. The food is fantastic, especially the Lamb Shank for which I would rate as Michelin standard. The service from Julie is excellent as well. Would definitely come back soon.

We stop off here every time we fly out to Florida so it's the start of our holiday. An important factor, and it the pub never fails to deliver. I've been to a few Chef and Brewers across the Midlands and the North and I might be biased as I'm always in the right frame of mind but the food was excellent as ever, they can make a burger into a work of art, which I turn all too quickly into an empty platter. The staff have always been on top form friendly, attentive and show genuine customer care, well done. Always a pleasure see you again soon. This is in addition to my last visit.....still stands still 5* this time served by Lorna and Ricki. They both deserved a mention as the made the experience more memorable....thank you both, you're a credit to the pub!

Came tonight (bank holiday weekend) on the off chance we could get a table for 5 us. Craig went above and beyond providing us with excellent customer service and making us feel welcome. Thank you. Highly recommend

Stopped off at this beautiful pub after my daughters kick boxing lesson....had drinks and food before our 2 hour journey home. Very warm welcome from the staff, the food was amazing and we definitely will return again soon

5 for the ?manager? H? 2-3* for the bar woman. Will give her one more chance but last 2 times been a bit meh … won’t name or embarrass her but a bit of training would be needed. Not blaming the manager at all as he’s literally holding this place up Really glad I got some food in the end for my 2nd visit (first they shut the service early hmm) I will be back … the food is amazing and the manager is great! Barely in the area (work all over) but he’s great and food was great! 😛🍺🏆🍷🐑 Edit - thus far all the bar girls have been beyond amazing. 😻 Lovely chilled vibe. Just wish the kitchen was open a tad later but it’s late for this village I guess 😛

Really warm welcome from Toby. Very accommodating with kids menu choices. Loads of space on a Saturday night. Good was very good typical pub grub. Decent portions and the fish and chips were great. Very good if you are on way to/from Manchester airport. Big car park.

Fabulous Sunday lunch. Delicious roast turkey, veg, Yorkshire pudding etc. Excellent service from the staff, all very attentive. The only thing I would say is soft drinks are expensive. £6.30 for ginger beer with a splash of lime!

Lovely pub in summer. Fab sophisticated beer garden, varied menu at very reasonable prices. The staff are so lovely and food arrves quickly.

6 of is went for breakfast 10.15 Sunday. Some breakfast items not available. BUT mostly no eggs. Sorry this is not good enough. Had to leave and find somewhere else!

I ordered a medium rare steak, it was awful. Really tough sirloin, at £20. So sent back, however as the second steak arrived it was again, poor, the sauce pot less than a third full and the grilled tomato still fridge cold, the chips were solid. The saving grace was the staff and manager, with excellent customer service. Maybe chef had a bad night.

Lunch today. 45 minutes wait for someone to take order, had to go and find someone. One of the meals then came without the potatoes listed. Disappointing.

What a beautifully decorated restaurant with lots of tasteful fittings and natural light. The service staff were welcoming and so so patient as my kids blew off energy, the food was served quickly and piping hot! Our meals were rich in flavour and clearly made from the best ingredients. Salad was fresh, chips were crisp and tomato soup hit the spot. Not a long wait, comfortable chairs and the restrooms were immaculate. Thanks for a delicious meal! Will be back when we are next in town for sure.

Great experience on a sunny Wednesday Ricky was very attentive and it seemed like she really enjoyed her work even thought it was 28 degrees outside!

We tried yo book at table for a family gathering og 15 adults 6 children 2 weeks notice and happy to per order food. After trying to converse with a robot I finally got through to a human who proceeded to cut me off! I tried phoning back but no answer! Obviously don't need our business.

Over a two day stay, to visit RHS Tatton Park,we enjoyed Lunch,Dinner and Breakfast.The staff were very friendly and extremely accommodating.The meals were well presented and tasty. We will definitely be back Thank you to all the team.

Friendly service, a large restaurant area, good menu selection. Food served piping hot and reasonable priced. Convenient for any one staying at the Premier Inn Handforth.

Called in for lunch with my daughter. Her food was ok but i had lasagne which was awful. Dried up and burnt. Wont be returning.

Dropped in for a bite of lunch with my wife. Greeted at the door by who I presume was the manager, who was fab but this attitude must have rubbed off on the staff also because they were just as fabulous. Really attentive nothing too much trouble. The beer was fantastic and the food amazing. Honestly you can't go wrong with this place.its a very rare occasion I actually tell saff that the experience and the service was amazing because I can usually find an issue! But this time I was compelled to tell them how good it was.

I have been here a few times but only ever had a Sunday roast so I decided to try the fish and chips,no complaints with the service the staff were friendly as usual.I am a fussy eater and like a fresh fish so was a bit apprehensive when I chose the fish but it was nice,the fish was fresh and it was battered correctly and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Came in the Bulls Head for some food and drinks, Craig provided a cracking service, extremely helpful and very polite and professional as were all the staff, will definitely be coming back soon! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Stopped by short notice for lunch. The food was amazing, pork loin from the specials and beef pie from main menu. Been quite some time since we had such a lovely pub meal. Service was also great, especially with young children in tow. Will certainly return.

Much improved from the last time I was there a year ago. The food was nice and super deal is great value. The staff were lovely and did everything to accommodate us.

I have only eaten here as a big group so can't speak for smaller bookings, but as a big booking in my experience they tend to be friendly but slow service. We went for breakfast recently and they took drink orders, it took ages for the drinks to come out and my mocha wasn't hot enough. Then they took the food order and that took a long time to come out, a few of the orders were wrong and the food nothing special. It's not the cheapest place either, just convenient for us because it's near where the wider family lives and they have an area big enough to accommodate us.

We went to the bull a couple of weeks ago for my sons birthday, the food was Beautiful, and the staff couldn’t do enough for us, especially Julie with her beautiful smile, she made us feel so welcome. Also Eric and the rest of the team. The chef even came out with a birthday cake for him and they all sang happy birthday. Will definitely be returning. Thanks to the manager you must be very proud off all your staff, and a big thank you to all your team at the bulls head.

Not even a slightly good experience to be brutally honest. My girlfriend ordered the “Crispy Chicken Burger” which was supposed to come with “Rosemary and chive chicken fillet, smoked bacon, Barber’s of Somerset cheese snap, sticky bacon & ale jam and roasted garlic mayonnaise. Served with spicy mayo.” We were served by Julie first of all and when ordering we asked for the “spicy mayo” to be taken off and on receiving the burger it came with the spicy mayo in a pot on the side and none of the roasted garlic mayo OR the bacon and ale jam was actually on the burger. So rightfully so we asked for this to be taken back and for the sauce to be put back on the burger. Julie then took it upon herself to go into the kitchen and slap on a bit of normal mayo on top of the chicken and this was quite literally a dollop not even a sufficient amount of sauce. Following this we called over Eric who is an assistant manager and he said he would go sort it out and make a whole new burger. Then about 10 minutes and the other 5 meals finished later we received the burger finally and when opening this there was once again no sauce at all on this. So she reluctantly ate the burger as not wanting to cause any more of a fuss so I went to have a chat with Eric after all food was finished and he agreed to take the burger off the bill and I asked him if they are out of stock of these sauces and he said they are out of stock of one of them but he was not sure which one it was. If this is the case then why was the one in stock not then put on the burger anyways. Both times all that was asked was no spicy mayo and both times we received no sauce on the burger at all and a pot of spicy mayo alongside. It is an absolute joke to be honest and shocking service from Julie as she more or less didn’t listen to anything we asked which is not a hard request working in hospitality and also retail myself it is not hard to listen and tap a screen to make notes which they quite literally have round their necks. If there is a manager of any actual influence reading this I would recommend for Julie to undergo some extra training on grace and decorum along with customer service. Will not be coming again unfortunately as we have been here a few times and every time something was wrong. On the other hand Eric was quite helpful but also not very good listening skills as the burger still came with what we didn’t ask for and didn’t come with the essentials of the actual burger. I tried it myself and was very dry. Disgraceful to say the least to be honest.

Had the rump steak sandwich, it was tasty and tender. Very attentive service too.

Stayed at the Premier Inn next door and had a fabulous evening meal and breakfast the following day at The Bulls Head - the best breakfast we've had in years! Definitely recommend this lovely pub - great food, staff, decor and atmosphere.

We were served by a very lovley staff member ( Ricki ) who was full of enthusiasm and patient.

I was only here passing through, but got a good feeling. First room I entered was public but looked like it was dedicated to a single party of around 20 adults, they were having a celebration... and having fun. There's food and obviously booze on sale. Next to a travel lodge type hotel. Car parking was a bit tight... that could be a problem on a busier night?

Nice, just renovated pub. Mint service. Pub is quite large, with big seating area and with nice seating area outside in summer time. I found food is good quality but menu quite minimal therefore 3 stars because not much to select. Beers and ciders as well not much of choice. It is bit confusing with size of pub what it's for ?

Excellent advice re allergens and friendly all-round. The outside notice isn't clear - it's free parking by registering on the device on the bar. No need for pound coins!

I asked for my steak well done, I ate a quarter of it. Chewy, very dry, it wasn't well done it was burnt, could not even cut it with my knife. I did tell the Waiter to let them know in the kitchen, but no one came back to me, not happy. Also there were eight of us that went for a meal. Then we ordered another round of drinks, twenty minutes later I asked why had we not got them. The waitress said we had been forgotten, it was not as if they were busy. Then the waitress came and cleared the two tables, while I was still eating, which is not right. None off them in my eyes cared about their customers, I think they were two young did not care, plus in a rush to get home. What happened for training Hospitality Plus. I worked at the Bulls Head in Handforth from 1989 until 1994, as a bar worker standard's were so different, so much higher. Staff cared about their customers, without them we would not have a job or a wage.

Just went for a drink to see the latest refurbishment. Looked good and obviously refreshed. Nice cosy seating with a couple of Roaring fires. The service behind the bar was good. The garden looked amazing and will be great sitting out there in better weather.

I called into the bulls head in wilmslow having heard it had recently opened after a hefty refurb I arrived at 3 30 in the afternoon I was seated with a menu so I asked the waitress for fish chips and peas to my amazement she said sorry we have sold out of all fish 3 30 in the afternoon so I ended up ordering barbecue smoutherd chicken well the waitress brought my meal over the peice of chicken was the smallest peice I have ever seen it was sunk into the smallest 3 inch black fry pan submerged into what I can only describe as a thick black mess along with about 8 chips which were rock hard and I think they got the side salad from the garden it just looked like grass oh and I had a bottle of cider at the end I was charged £22 so you can see where they are trying to get the money back for the refurb so sorry I paid I would not recommend this pub to anyone oh and to top it all I had to pay for parking

Wanted to try the brunch menu but the pub was closed 2 hours after "opening time". To not open on time, after a refurb, during the festive season isn't great is it? It was like this before the refurb and I thought with all the investment things might improve. Apparently not.
