The best restaurants in Cheshire East North West

Visited on a Friday night, the live music made the evening and that's saying something because the food was absolutely spectacular. The basket of chicken and bacon bits were fantastic we'll definitely be back.

Nice room. No HOT water for shower !!! Went down to reception to be told a plumber has been called. The fact I questioned the lack of hot water seemed an inconvenience!

Such good value, home cooked and service with a smile. Pastry was homemade too Super friendly staff. Veggie bake was delicious

Really very disappointed. Firstly front of house, the floating bar was sticky with remnants of beer that just needed wiping up or bar mats to be used. We were sat in the rear, the toilets are located off this area, a terrible sewerage smell entered the restaurant every time someone opened the door and when I used them, whilst clean there is obviously a problem with the drains. Decor : crikey it’s a country mile from the old Reubens, tacky cheap and failed electric lighting in the back. Food : disappointing, I totally get that restaurants need to reinvent themselves to keep the public engagement but I truly believe the Reubens philosophy has somehow lost its way. If burgers are your thing, then fab but if you are expecting a restaurant of a particular quality then this won’t be your thing. Reubens has been in this town for the last 40 years when I was a teenager all the way to now even hosted our children’s christening there. Through Covid we loved the home delivery of delicious burritos and nobody could beat their flatbreads with salad , chicken and steak kebabs but sadly having moved to the Burger and bbq menu I’ve visited twice but after this last visit I won’t be returning. Very sad

Beautiful atmosphere, and delicious food.

Lovely meal, good value for money, attentive service - sometimes a little over attentive (being asked by 3 different staff if our food was ok!) The first time in a while I have felt compelled to leave a tip, for a multitude of reasons - one being there was no presumptive ‘service charge’ on the bill!

Staff were very nice, the manager was very polite and was talking to all of her customers, really nice friendly atmosphere, food was brilliant, portions were alittle big but that’s fine because you definitely won’t leave hungry for sure, thank you so much, enjoyed celebrating a 40th birthday here

Lovely food, generous portions, nice surroundings…my only complaint is the ‘system’. You sit in a holding pen area at first, with a drink and a menu and they take your order from there. You then get ushered to your table. It’s a bit like going to a drive thru…so there’s less time sitting at the table. For me I’d rather get settled at the table and order everything from there, it just seems more relaxing. I quite like a bit of a wait at the table whereas here it was sit down, poppadoms appear within seconds. put me off quite a bit actually as it all felt a little bit rushed.

As always, a fantastic experience. Great service, amazing food. Can not recommend highly enough. I think sometimes with Mexican restaurants, it's just okay, not this one. Everything tasted amazing, home made dips and sauces just added to the already amazing flavours! You can tell a lot of time is spent planning the menu, but also into the prep and cooking.

Great location, feels like it been there for hundreds of years, it’s got bags of character and a nice menu.

Last evening I asked for any gluten free drinks as I am coeliac 2 managers had no idea what was gluten containing drinks Not one member of staff had any idea and I was told I could drink any wine or spirit which is not the case Very rude and dismissive in front of other customers, unprofessional and ignorant

Terrible food and service and as for the cost crazy £2 for a can of coke £9 for a jacket potato undercooked, daylight robbery

First time trying this restaurant, via a recommendation and we were not disappointed. Really enjoyed our tasty food, nice atmosphere and friendly staff.
