I contacted this chip shop to feed my 27 hungry Scouts, Explorers and Leaders as we were visiting Nantwich recently. Simon was extremely obliging and worked out a deal with my budget. When I collected the order it was hot and very very tasty. All the children ate everything and said how nice it was. The fish sticks were particularly nice with crispy batter and plenty of fish. Thank you Simon and your team, I'd recommend this place to anyone and if we visit the area again we'll definitely come back.

My wife and I visited Natwich fir a few days in June. We bought two meals herd which we thoroughly enjoyed: Fish and Chips, and a few days later, Meat and Potato pie and chips. The Fish and Chios was really good and we ate them on a bench in the main square. With meat and potato pie, you either love it or hate it. I love it! This was the first in about thirty years.

I have been a regular here for a while. The food today was appalling. Chips were reheated, cold, soggy and inedible. Fish cakes, bendy. The food went in the bin. Won't be returning here.

Always consistently great food here. The best chips in town and service is always excellent. Definitely worth a visit.

It was good but it's been better. Chips were great, batter on the fish a bit think and not cooked in places. Great size fish though.

Thought I would retry this Chippy after a absence as have received poor service in past. Firstly a long wait in the queue; then the person behind was served before me! Fish was Tiny more like a child’s portion, plenty of chips but undercooked.

The food here is outstanding. We order the breaded fish which you have to wait for which is fine as it's cooked to order. Delicious fish, crispy breadcrumbs outstanding. Really good chips and friendly staff.

Still up there, the best in Cheshire, Simon & all his great team really go out of their way to treat the Customer so well, with a laugh & smiles along with great food of consistently top quality, Would not go anywhere else & I actually look forward to going & enjoying the banter, top people!! Simon & his team run the most friendly shop in Nantwich who provide most excellent food at a fair price & it is consistently top class as well! I am a conformed anti shopper, but it is always a real pleasure to visit & meet the great team for a laugh when picking up my order, (I would not go anywhere else!!) Highly recommended!!

This was our second trip to Coral Reef and I am glad we gave it another go. They rectified the issue from last time we went which was very good of them. The fish was well cooked with crisp batter on the outside. The chips were hot and moorish. I would happily come back again

Ordered a hake and chips and a sausage and chips. Mine was lovely but they missed the sausage off the order. When they wrapped it up I was sure they had just put chips in. So I double checked with the lady serving and she assured me that the sausage was in there. However, when we got back mine was complete but we did not have the sausage. They are a busy fish and chips and I was unable to get through on the phone. My Facebook message to them has not been read. Will probably go else where next time.

Just treated kids and myself to chippy tea. There’s was ok but mine is the worst I’ve had in a long time, especially from coral. Small fish was chewy, spicy curry had a horrible taste and was put on my chips rather than in a pot which I asked for. £7 for mine, what a waste. Beans on toast for me .

Really good service, friendly staff. Best chippy about you will not find better. Shout out to Simon the absolute legend.

Picked up haddock chips and mushy peas last night. Fantastic fresh,great taste and the mushy peas were amazing. Highly recommend.

Doner kebabs are luxurious, wouldn't even consider the likes of pizza parlour. Fish is fresh and super tasty, chips are perfect and the staff are kind and very accommodating.

Visiting my 88 year old mum in Nantwich today I'd promised her fish and chips so off I went at 4H30 to the Coral Reef - such good fish and chips there! Anyhow, I ordered and said how much my mum was looking forward to when I realised it was cash only and I'd only brought my card! No problem said the lovely guy in charge - don't worry about it, just drop the cash in when you're passing! What a surprise and delight! Yes, I will do this next week but in the meantime I just want to say a "BIG THANK YOU" I've worked for some fine organisations over the years in customer service and this is exactly what it's all about! We have walked past this chippy a few times and it always smells delicious! With COVID restrictions still in full swing, we decided to call here for takeaway chips one lunchtime.I was served by a friendly young man, who gave us a huge portion of fresh chips and sausages! They have screens in place with multiple bottles of hand gel. The server used hand gel after each customer.We took our chips to the lake and enjoyed them whilst watching the ducks!NOTE: CASH ONLY!!

The staff of coral reef is super been there last week little guy serving and really nice talking the food is super good the best thing is the cod with chia and peas thanks for this coral reef!!!

I recently had the most amazing fish and chips ever!I was served by the kindest people ever who offered me service and were polite.It was very busy but the service was very quick and they made the fish and chips quickly.They were very warm and had the most amazing flavours I don't know what ingredients they use but i want to know! Benny has catered for several events for me over the last few years, for football awards nights and Christmas parties. The food is delicious, always on time, piping hot, and he has even on occasion had to go back and cook more food if we have underestimated. Top quality service thank you would highly recommend

Walked into this place and we were ignored at the counter for about 10 minutes .. the young blonde boy just stood there looking at us and didn’t serve us. All of the staff were miserable , the chips were undercooked and the battered sausage had been left under the light so long it was soggy . Don’t know why this place has such good ratings

We've bought fish, chips and mushy peas several times and they're always well cooked. The batter is light and crisp though sometimes the bottom sticks a bit to the paper - not a problem though!!

Definitely the best kebab around, donner meat wasn’t greasy,really tasty with fresh salad, other places in Crewe and Nantwich need a lesson from them, won’t be going anywhere else again!

Was staying overnight in Nantwich and wanted a quick takeaway to tied me over. Came across this chippy. The fish was meaty and the gravy and curry sauce were superb. Wasn't cheap as chips but really good quality and value. Highly recommended.

Was visiting an event in Nantwich, didn't want a large evening meal, so just had an "ordinary" portion of chips (£1.80), but the size was actually quite large and the quality of the chips were excellent, would definitely visit again for a "full" meal, the shop was very busy, always a good sign

My wife and I visited Nantwich Food Festival last weekend, we looked around and tried plenty of different foods but nothing compared to the meal we were given at Coral Reef. The service was excellent and the staff were more than polite even though it was busy we were in and out in 10 minutes. The staff had a great system of working and we can’t wait to come back, it’s a shame there is no coral reef were we live ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Generous portion size. Ordered a small cod with chips. Chips was more than enough for 2. Fish was not small at all(no complaints though)

Have used this place many times and always found the food very good. There sometimes long queues at busy periods but always dealt with efficiently. One of the best fish and chips shops around.

We have walked past the Coral Reef many times and it has always been busy; which is a good sign! Today we decided to treat ourselves to chips and fish strips. Wow what a surprise. The meal was to die for and was amazing value for money. The staff are very friendly and the premises are very clean. Quite frankly we wouldn't go anywhere else now. Worth the calories!

If you fancy the best fish and chips in Cheshire then look no further. The massive chunks of fresh white cod and tasty chips are the best we have ever tasted! Portion sizes are massive, giving incredible value for money and the quality is amazing. They do a fantastic curry sauce and all the staff are very welcoming and friendly. We would highly recommend The Coral Reef to anyone visiting Nantwich they are "simply the Best!"

Visited last week and felt compelled to write a review to say how delicious the Fish and Chips we ate were. The spicy curry sauce was out of this World! Homemade by the owner! Definitely recommend if you're in Nantwich!!

After reading the reviews on trip advisor I decided to have fish and chips from here, it lived up to my expectations in every way.

I do not usually write reviews to shops or restaurants I buy and eat food, but I had to write this one as an appreciation of the most delicious fish and chips I've had for years. Today I went to the shop with my girlfriend just to grab something to eat. The shop was pretty busy but we did not wait for too long. I had a delicious fish and chips while my girlfriend had a generous burger. They were both absolutely perfect. I couldn't ask for more. If you are in Nantwich, or nearby, Coral Reef food is a "must try". If you are reading this review and you've never been there, drop a pin to their address, find directions and enjoy your food.

The queue was out of door and overflowing up the street, when we arrived. It took 25 minutes to be served.There were 4 or 5 cod fish already cooked and keeping warm.We ordered cod and chis which was wrapped in several layers of greaseproof paper. By the time we had walked back to our car (parked 100 yards away) - the fat had soaked through. It was difficult to avoid getting this on your clothes. Many of the chips had become entangled in soggy paper.The cod fish was a generous size, but had obviously been standing too long - the batter was hard, the fish dry and unappetising. If a heavy shower of rain had not prevented me - I would have returned the meals for a refund!May I suggest a policy of cooking fish to order on arrival at the shop and packing meals in carton or box?

Whenever I travel I visit local chippies and this is the best one ive been to in the north west. Come to visit family once every 3 weeks and me and the kids come here for the best meal possible, staff are lovely and couldn't really ask for anything more from a fish and chip shop!! Large cod & chips cooked to order on arrival. The fish was excellent. Large moist white flakes of cod in a thin & crispy batter cooked to perfection. Even better than Rick Steins and half the price.Only recommendation would be to avoid putting the wrapped up takeout in a plastic bag as with the heat they tend to sweat.

Use to work here & i visit a few chippys around the area but nothing will compare to this place staff and food wise always a good atmosphere & staff always welcoming. I travel to coral reef 3 times a week, it is ALWAYS clean and tidy, has the friendliest staff could ask for in any shop! The food is always of the best quality!Can't say enough about this place, simply the best of the best! I recommend Coral Reef to anyone, even if you're travelling it's worth the fuel!

Stopped by for a cone of chips and were pleasantly surprised with the quality. Service was professional and friendly, there was a que initially but well managed. Clean and tidy.Would recommend to friends and family and stop by again.

Ordered my meals and was given evils by the woman serving the entire time. Not quite sure what I had done or whether she was having a bad day but it was very unsettling and aggressive. Won't be going there again. The gent that was working along side her was lovely and polite. She was vile! Food was fine.
