I came across this place whilst looking for somewhere to go with my friend for a good catch up, and wow, its just beautiful 😍 The drive to it is stunning with the most gorgeous scenery and fields surrounding you, and once you're there and sat down with a cake and a brew, it's so relaxed and peaceful, and the staff are really friendly and attentive. We shall defenitely be back again! 🥰

We very much enjoyed our lunch here during a break in a walk from Tegg's Nose Country Park. The filled outcakes were very tasty and the coffe was superb. The selection of cakes looked extremely enticing, though we thought it best to resist. There are not many tables inside so it is a good isea to book if you don't want to eat outside. We liked Hannah who had been very responsive to emails when booking. Everything was clean and tidy and extremely good value.

We may be biased as we came across this tea room unexpectedly as we walked the Gritstone Trail, just as we were wondering if we'd made a mistake in not diverting into Bollington for cafe & loos and 2 were fantasising about finding a country tea room - and sure enough we did!. Idyllic setting with beautiful views, gorgeous tall trees, lovely tea and snacks - our dreams had come true! (And friendly service too.) Plenty of outdoor seating.

I turned up as a walker and ate my own sandwiches across the road from the tea-rooms, intending to buy a cup of tea and a slice of cake once I had finished. The owner came out and had a general "rant" about walkers, leaving litter in her bins and using her toilets without contributing. I had done neither. Needless to say, I didn't bother spending any money there. Friends who did go in waited a long time for their order to appear.

Very disappointed. Been here a few times now. Why are you still using paper plates and cups. I've been to other tea rooms recently who have moved on. Don't understand the logic when your asking people to go inside to the counter to order. Won't be back until normal service has been restored. Sorry

Staff are always friendly , but do feel you should move on and forget the cardboard half filled cups , the paper plates and the clingfilmed covered cakes you can be COVID safe for your valued staff and customers and look forward, it’s time to get back to your China and waiting service , most other places are achieving this very successfully ! Walkers and locals love to visit you so please don’t spoil this, keep it so it is a treat for us to visit !

This is a lovely place to visit. If the weather is decent, it has a lovely area to sit outside and enjoy. The home made cakes are delicious! There a good gluten-free options too.

1st visit of 2020 with my elderly mum, who rates the tearoom as her favourite!. Always friendly, welcoming & relaxing. A great hour or so watching the wild weather buffeting the trees. The food & service was as always, very good😊.. Until next time..

August 18th Another visit with my rapidly ageing Mum. The sun was shining & the wind dancing through the trees. Busy, as it deserves to be. Welcome, service & food remain consistently friendly & well presented. A hidden gem 💎 worthy of a rare 5*. Thankyou 😊

I can't believe it's been 1 year since my Mum & I were last here. Everything is still good, with a sensible, manageable menu (customer & kitchen). Friendly😊 greeting on arrival & timely delivery of food. I think the Tea selection has been increased 👍. The location is great. My only observation : i feel you're (potentially) missing out on sales by time limiting the breakfast to 11:00 (1 hour after you open). I would suggest extending it to 13:00. Ps : I rarely give 5*..

What a delight to visit this tea room halfway through our walk in Macclesfield. 16 of us sat outside, and enjoyed a wonderful variety of home cakes, a wide variety of teas/coffees, and the staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. We were all disappointed when our walk guide gave us a 5 minute warning of leaving, we could have sat there all afternoon, soaking up the peaceful, tranquil atmosphere.

We walked up from Bollington with our baby daughter after I had seen the sign from the road. A Bollington resident kindly told us that the best way to walk is to go up the road that goes to the retreat then across the field, which was lovely! We sat outside as it was a warm day and there was waitress service to the tables. We ordered a toastie, soup and cream tea as well as a milkshake. All were very tasty and reasonably priced and were clearly home made. Would definitely visit this little gem of a place again and will walk from Bollington as it’s a lovely stroll!

We chanced upon this lovely tearoom at the end of our walk around Bollington and it was the perfect way to end our day. This small cafe is beautifully light with a very welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. There was an extensive list of interesting loose leaf teas as well as coffee as well as an excellent selection of home made cake. We went for the traditional Victoria sponge which was delicious. Hoping to return soon!

There are plenty of gluten free options - sandwiches, cream tea etc. so I will be back. Everyone was very friendly and chatted away to my daughter who was in a talkative mood. It is in the perfect location for calling in on a walk/bike ride, or just getting away from the hustle and bustle.
