Balti Spice Takeaway in Cheshire East

Wouldn’t go anywhere else for a curry, top food 👌🏻

I only had one meal from Balti, so I can only give it a four-star rating. The meal was delicious, but some parts were a bit bland. However, my partners was amazing. The general building could use some sprucing up inside. An old, empty fish tank and an old seating area could use some attention.

Hung up phone on me because prices on there website are not correct. Trump 2024.

Vindaloo had as much spice as a chip shop curry

Ordered a collection for the first time from here & it wont be our last ☺️ the food was really tasty & good portion size also there was extra poppadoms & onion bahji's which was a lovely touch 👌

We didn’t even get as far as trying the food! We ordered a takeaway over the phone and then drove for the 40 minutes to collect (got stuck in traffic), only to arrive and be told that the card machine is broke and they forgot to tell us on the phone. We didn’t have our bank cards to withdraw cash so had to leave the food there. Fuming! Given 3 stars for the food because couldn’t tell you if it was nice or not.

They were so friendly when I went in, very cheap too, they even threw in onion baji's and poppadoms, but the problem is the curry itself was beyond bland, a chicken korma that was flavourless, they also include sauce and mango chutney, the chutney was so watered down it wouldn't stay on the poppadoms at all. The boiled rice was also not cooked correctly, I found 2 large lumps of rice that were all stuck together.

Reviews were really good & was near to canal . Having got to the town late & walked to supermarket, shopped , walked back with supplies we were beyond cooking & ordered takeout Reviews were great , food was averaging low Portions are massive with loads of onion

Substandard food, only exiting thing here is brown trousers

Tandoori mix grill all the meat was dry, like it had been cooked yesterday and kept under a heat lamp, as was the Chicken in the Balti. The "free" Onion Bajis were also over done. Disappointing, won't bother again.

Ended our canal boat holiday with an outstanding meal from this fine establishment! Delicious food, prompt friendly service, excellent value. Cannot recommend highly enough. Treat yourselves. Oh, and thanks for the extras 😀

Great food from here and always great service, even when they are busy. Been using them for a while and never had a bad meal. Personally, I love their nan bread. Only down side I can think of is that they don`t offer delivery, but it would be unfair to mark them down for that. The food is the important think and that is top notch. Thanks Guys.

First time and won’t be the last, so fresh and the chicken was tender, I’ve had chicken from some Indians and their is the odd piece that doesn’t taste the same, this was very consistent, only negative was the mango chutney, you so need to change this

First time, but won't be the last! When I got there the man apologised that someone had put ghee on my naan, so it wasn't veggie. I hadn't told him we were veggie, but he was considerate to ask if it was ok and was happy to make another one. He also gave us extra bhajis and poppodoms. The food was lovely, would highly recommend. And very reasonable!

Just had a great meal. Fresh, flavorful and additional pompoms included. Slightly milder than I’m used to but the flavor was wow.🙏

As a visitor to Middlewich and an Indian foodie, I was not disappointed with my choice to visit this takeaway. What struck me initially was how smart the chefs and counter staff looked, and the how clean the food area which I could clearly see was maintained. This is something which is very important to me. I ordered the Lamb Zalfrezi with a garlic nan bread which as well as being very reasonably priced, was also extremely tasty. I also received complimentary poppadoms and onions The taste and spice etc were exactly as I would expect and I cannot fault my experience. I will definitely be visiting again on my next trip here. Just moved to Middlewich so first time trying this place. As most people have said very friendly service and food was ready on time. We had the curry meal for two and the portions were very generous. Food tasted great and we will be making it our favourite curry house

Best curry house for takeaway around here ..

Not actually tried here before, been loyal to some other local takeaways (I actually live in sandbach) Seen good reviews so thought I’d give it a go Order: Tandoori mixed grill with madras sauce, onion bhajis, and mixed chutneys. Ordered at 5:15 and collected at 6pm, they were very busy and couldn’t order online, telephone order only. Arrived on time and was waiting around ten mins, takeaway is COVID safe with all the right restrictions and sanitiser in place. All the staff were very friendly and polite, always a great start 👍🏻 gave me some complimentary poppodoms, not everywhere does so that’s good. Now I’m very fussy with curry sauce and locally it’s not consistent, if like me you like a spicy curry I find that other local places just Chuck in more green chillis and the sauce always tastes the same, no real heat until you bite into a chilli. I like fire but with flavour not just heat. However balti spice had it perfect, the correct amount of heat (nice and spicy) and lots of flavour I was very impressed. Tandoori mixed grill was perfect too 👌🏻, chutneys were nice but a bit runny, but were still lovely. The one thing it’s missing is the sweet red chilli chutney the other local places do. Bhajis had lots of flavour and again very nice. All round I really enjoyed this and I will be a new regular 🙏🏻 Hats off to the chefs 👨‍🍳

Just had an amazing takeaway of Balti Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi, Aloo Gobi and Peshwari Naan. Didn’t realise until I got home that they gave me two free poppadoms and chutneys. Fabulous tasty meal. Thanks so much !

The Balti spice is a great Indian Takeaway, the food is always great, flavourful and cooked to a high standard! It is great value for money, last night I ordered a meal for two, and specified a time for pick up, everything worked brilliantly! Also a free filter coffee is available if you have to wait! I live in Holmes Chapel and I travel here for Indian as it’s the best in the area

Visited my friend who’s local ish, so I ordered from here by reading the reviews, all I can say is we weren’t disappointed, portions are massive, I tend not order papadums because they fill me up but got some free anyway which was brill, quality and price you just can’t fault them, the staff are super friendly, only drawback is they don’t deliver which is a shame but well worth picking just for the free coffee

Ordered a takeaway over the phone and didn't check the price on the phone, I calculated it from the website. On arrival the meal cost £4 more! I phoned to check to be told I must be looking at an old menu menu.

Having moved to our new home this week we were looking forward to Friday night to have a family meal and visiting this place was top of the agenda, we were not disappointed. We are all full and still have loads left, we will definitely be regulars here.

Lovely fresh coffee and cream and pleasant chat and newspapers from the friendly staff whilst waiting. Fresh tasting curry with enough to last to tomorrow. Better value than the knutsford/Holmes chapel equivalent. Recommended

Amazing food, had garlic chilli chicken, and for once was just as spicy as I wanted. The only reason I marked down a star was watery mango Chutney. Seems petty, but that was a massive let down. Great bunch of people too, but sort your mango Chutney out 😕

I use the Balti Spice two to three times a month, Always had excellent food, freshly prepared by very friendly and capable staff. I also enjoy the complimentary Coffee and Cream served while you are waiting for your order. The portion sizes are large and quite often one order is quite enough for my wife and I.

This takeaway beats ant top class restaurant anywhere in England. Fresh ingredients, attention to detail and always a chat and a smile. The chicken cheesy curry is amazing!! Thanks balti spice for being our local.

We use this take away regularly. The food is consistently excellent. Free coffee and newspapers whilst waiting. Often free onion bahjis. Order by phone always ready on time.

We love the food from here curry is done just how we like it. Cooked right in front of shop. Plenty of it as well. Staff are always friendly and have a chat with most customers. Can have a coffee if you have to wait all very nice

Recientemente tuvimos una especia de Balti tarkeaway que habíamos elegido basado en los comentarios. La comida estaba bien. Muy depender de formulista salsas. Sin verdadera profundidad de sabor de la comida india puede dar. Tenía el calor pero lo contrario sosa. Realmente bastante regular. Pero definitivamente indio de la "escuela" de moderno comida indigesta cocina india.

En negocios cerca, el personal del hotel me dijo que este es su favorita de la India. No suelen tener muchos llevar puramente porque nunca lo mismo que comer en el hotel, pero el chef aquí es increíble, la calidad de los sabores es sin duda un 10 / 10. Estoy de staffordshire Glaze Beach, cene en la 4ª mejor de la India en el país. Sé lo que es un buen curry y este lugar es sin duda con una de las mejores. Ya estoy de vuelta aquí el próximo mes y por lo que carecerá de gestionar el arranque y platos principales. Este tiene que ser el mejor degustación para llevar lejos de casa. Yum Yum yum. Escribo esta sabrosa, no es broma! ! ! ! !

One of the best curries I've had in a long time, was recommended by a friend who travels from Winsford weekly to get his fix of spice, now I'm doing the same, only thing is they don't do deliveries (guess they don't have) would order more often if they did.

Have had takeaways from the Balti Spice for a couple of years now. Good choices on the menu and the meals are superb. Can't say I have ever been disappointed. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Mi pareja y yo hemos tenido una comida para llevar desde Balti muchas veces las especias y esta noche de nuevo han disfrutado de una comida maravillosa. La comida es muy buena, pero lo que realmente hace que la experiencia es el personal. El servicio es impecable, hay café siempre fresco servido con Crema mientras espera y normalmente gratis popadoms/cebolla bajis con su pedido.

Me encanta el curry y hemos comido en muchos restaurantes y tiendas, la comida desde Balti Spice siempre es excelente. Hay una enorme variedad en el menú, si no en el menú que hará lo que quiera si pueden. El personal es realmente amable, el precio de la comida es razonable, sin duda merece la pena una visita si estás en la zona.

Usamos este para llevar cada vez como tenemos fe total en la calidad de la comida y de un gran valor. Siempre hay personal esperando y dispuestos a ayudar con las opciones. Hemos utilizado 6 veces y cada comida ha sido excelente. Un buen detalle es el extras, que incluyen, como poppadoms gratis y raita. Ellos están dispuestos a ajustar el hotness de currys y te dan un café mientras espera. Sería aún mejor si me lo entregaron!

This is the best Indian take away ever, honestly! I live in Manchester and come here when visiting family in middlewich, and every time I go the middlewich I get a take away from here, it's just what we do! The men in there are so friendly and recognise us when we go, and we've never had a bad meal from there. They are really happy to adapt your meal to suit your tastes, I'm veggie and hate oily food, so I always choose the veggie side dishes and ask it to be prepared without oil and they make it perfectly every time! Love love love this place!

I have been visiting this takeaway for a number of years and can say this is by far the best takeaway ever.The food is amazing and the manager and staff will do anything to help. The score should he 5 star plus and this is from someone who will normally refuse to get takeaway food!!

Ive had my far share of balti,s curries over many years . eaten in lots of many towns in uk . tonight i had chicken naga . and garlic naan . balti was cooked really good for takeaway . not burning hot . naan was nice too . Very friendly and we talked about football .Havent tried the other indians in middlewich so would be unfair to say this is the best .....Would i use balti spice again ....YES

The food is always good here and so is the service, the staff are always friendly and polite. The draught largers are good and so is the bottled larger. whats not to like?

On my regular visits to my friend in Middlewich, I always buy a takeout. This place is easily the best curryhouse.The food is tasty, and they use naga chillis when I want a phaal.

This take away was ok. It gets great reviews, but I didnt really like the curries. It's maybe just my opinion, but they were very sweet and all very samey. We had a take away with friends and we all agreed. For me there are better options in the area.

Lovely friendly takeaway...good value and great food. We have chosen to have takeaways for 2 on several occasions as the food is well cooked by experienced chefs. The manager is always friendly and polite.

One of the only places serving food on a Sunday evening. Really classy menu and lovely friendly people or dressed professionally and with all the cooking done right in front of you - also with a pot of fresh coffee on the counter so made welcome while you wait. I had the Balti Lamb Jalfrezi and the lamb was so tender - nice nan bread and great food all round also popadoms and dips thrown in

I've tried a couple of other curry houses locally but this one is the best. They don't deliver though.

When i first moved to Middlewich some 14 years ago this was the first Indian take away i went to. Best take awaycurry I've ever. Recommend the Balti Spice Surprise, it really packs a punch for those who love the spice and heat.

The best curry in Cheshire if not the country ! It's that good ,when my brother visits me , he always take home a take a way . By the way he lives in the home of good curries Burnley . Staff are very good , did'nt have to wait long for the food . The only downside was the outside appearance , all food is cooked infront of you .

We regularly use this Indian takeaway and can never fault the quality of the food. The service is always warm and welcoming with coffee being offered to you whilst you wait. Cannot fault anything about it and I would highly recommend it.
