We have visited above for several years and although the service is still excellent I have found the prices to have increased and now getting a little high. Breakfast with 1 sausage 1 egg 1/2 grilled tomato a few beans and mushrooms and bacon £9.20. Black pudding or 2 hash browns a further £1.10. The breakfast comes with 1 piece of toast. This for a venue off the beaten track and I suggest would be grateful for more custom but at these prices I won’t return for a meal. Sorry had better quality produce and at more reasonable prices elsewhere.

We have been regular visitors to Café at Bridge 80 over the last few years now. Even when the original lockdown restrictions eased in the summer of 2020 we were back there for coffee & cake or a toastie. The food & drink served isn't cheap, but has always been very good & if you are getting quality it's not a problem. One area that needs looking at as a matter of urgency however is the way food is served for those eating outside now we are almost back to normal. We called there recently & had two toasties & two teas & as it was a lovely day we opted to sit outside. The issue I have is the food is still being served in takeaway containers & drinks in paper cups. These two drinks & snacks amounted to £19:50 which is a lot & to not be served on plates & in proper cups as everyone else is back to doing is unacceptable. We won't be returning anytime soon.

Lovely location, lovely views, very peaceful and seems to be beautifully dog friendly though ours weren’t with us. Food was good and a good choice, and cannily serving full English until 1.30pm 👍🏻 and the oatcakes were delicious. Not hugely busy but it was a Thursday! Have to say the staff could have been a little more cheerful! I know customer service can be tough but a smile always helps and I didn’t expect to be laughed at for taking our cutlery back, thank you is always nice - I was trying to be helpful; oh well I know now. It’s a lovely setting and looking at the other reviews maybe we caught them on an off day.

Cappuccino was more like a latte. Everyone in group said theirs was too weak. You can pay for an extra shot but that takes price over £3. Shouldn't get a milk skin on a cappuccino. Yuk! Also outdoors served in disposable cups. Service not great either. We were going to stop for lunch but not a massive choice and prices quite steep. Setting fabulous though.

Staying in Audlem the Bridge 80 Cafe at Overwater Marina seemed a nice place to visit. Having rang and booked Afternoon Tea for two the day before, given sandwich choices and inside or outside options it was all set. We arrived in good time and it’s a lovely 30 minute stroll around the marina. The narrow boats all looked nice and so many with interesting names. Lots of birds and ducks etc. Our outside table was reserved and our food arrived. It was truly delicious! So we’ll presented, very good quality, especially the ham and the scones! Plentiful too, I seldom cannot finish an Afternoon Tea but we had to take some cake home with us! Tea and coffee was good and refills offered without prompt. The staff were pleasant, polite and helpful. To be honest I could fault nothing, and I usually manage to find something amiss everywhere I go! I totally recommend taking Afternoon Tea at Bridge 80 Cafe!

It was a Friday lunchtime and they were not too busy. Consequently we were able to order our food swiftly and didn’t have to wait unduly long for it to be served. The two oatcakes with cheese and tomato was delicious and quite filling. When ordering we asked the waitress to give the tea a stir then remove the bag but we were informed that they could not do that. I find it difficult to see why they couldn’t oblige. As a result the tea was very strong. They were, however, willing to put in more milk when I took it back! So top marks for food, not so many for tea.

This is a lovely place to visit in the summer with attractive views of boats in the marina and on the canal but it is also nice and cosy in the winter. There is always a water bowl for dogs outside and dogs are also allowed inside the cafe. The coffee is excellent and the cafe has a very good range of home-made cakes. It is a favourite venue with boaters and cyclists who take advantage of the excellent breakfasts on offer and once a month, it hosts a 2-course evening meal. This has to be pre-booked and it is extremely good value as well as being a jolly evening with good company.

Tucked away from the beaten track approx 1 mile from Audlem village, this is a really nice development of a canal marina, a small number of touring caravan pitches, outdoor seating and a lovely cafe. great selection of snacks and cakes etc, but also some hot larder dishes on a daily menu. Came here for a quick but peaceful lunch by the marina. This is a nice simple cafe with a decent enough menu to choose from, the food was nice and came in good time and was priced well too. The only issue was that the speed at which the staff cleared the tables outside was rather poor as when we went outside to find a table every single one of them has the previous person's plates etc on and at one point staff were coming outside with fresh food but with nowhere to put it! That said, the staff were friendly though.

Initially a bit messy and slow service as looked like they’d just had a rush on. Staff were friendly but tended to spend time chatting amongst themselves when customers were waiting and tables were dirty. Homemade cake and scone were good - jam could have been fruitier, but otherwise no complaints. There was enough tea in the pot for a mug and a bit more. They accept card payment, which is always a plus.

We went for a week end break nearby, during the Mini Beast from the East weather. Needing something to keep me going I had the Full Breakfast (at lunchtime). I enjoyed it. So my wife and I went on the Saturday, again for breakfast. A gummed addition on the menu say Mega Breakfast £8.99. It arrived as an oval plate of breakfast goodies. As it happens my wife loves bacon (I don’t), I like sausages, Black Pudding, hash browns and beans (my wife does not). So we then divided up eggs, tomatoes, toast, mushrooms etc. Jack Spratt style. We both had just what we liked. I have read reviews saying ‘We shall return.’ We have already done that. We went back the next day (Sunday) to repeat Saturday’s Mega breakfast. All I can say is that we shall have another weekend break at the Marina one day. Incidentally there seemed to be a different cook each day. But I equally enjoyed the Mega breakfast each day.

The cafe is located in a lovely spot beside the canal and marina with a small caravan park nearby. Our friends ordered quiche and salad which was impressive with generous portions. My wife and I ordered smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwiches with salad and sadly, these were less generous. The cream cheese was a thin as butter and the salmon didn’t reach the edges of the bread. No one came to check on our meals. We were a little disappointed and wished we had ordered the same as our friends who very much enjoyed their meal. Would we go again? Yes, but next time it will be quiche!

Whiling away a bit if spare time I read through the reviews for Overwater Coffee Lounge and was very surprised that there were any negative comments even though outweighed by positive. I have been a regular customer of the coffee lounge over the last few years and have visited during quiet and busy times. I have always found the service excellent and staff always friendly. The food is great and I certainly feel prices are good and not at all unreasonable. The latte coffee and scones are amongst the best anywhere (and I am an expert on latte coffee and scones). Monthly dinners are excellent value for money with well cooked food and convivial atmosphere. The recent Christmas meal laid on by Vernon and Texan was great. It's so nice to visit a coffee lounge where one doesn't feel you have to rush to finish and can take whatever time you want. In summary, relaxing, friendly atmosphere, good food st reasonable prices with added bonus of being located in great position.

We have visited here before and had hot food with which you get a little wait but it is to be expected when it is cooked freshly for you. It is a little gem.

Vernon produced a huge toasted peskytarian sandwich which was bloody lovely - cheese, tomato, mushroom & onion with salad and coleslaw garnish. Just what I needed to see me through the day, good job I didn't have breakfast and will definitely not need lunch!

We popped in for a snack and to warm up on a very cold February day.Panini was excellent, served with coleslaw & small salad. Scone was served warm with plenty of jam & cream, all in all tasty and reasonable price. The coffee lounge is very pleasant with views of the marina.

You will go a long way to beat the warm and cosy atmosphere at the Coffee Lounge. The friendly staff and good food make this a place that I love to return to

As someone who eats out a lot, this is the first occasion I have felt the need to write a review about somewhere - it must be bad!!First visit on Saturday. Definitely won't go there again. The manager clearly lacks customer/social skills. He was extremely rude and condecending in asking me to move my car. The signage for parking is distinctly lacking. On the back off this treatment we decided to leave before ordering - good job the staff were as bad at attending to their customers as the Manager was with his hospitality

It was our first visit to the marina on a Saturday morning, the cafe wasn't full but after we had sat down and waited a long time to be served, decided to get up and have a look at a menu off another table. We decided on our menu choices and then had to wait again for a waitress to think about taking the order. All in all very slow service, not a pleasant environment and definitely won't be wasting our time returning. We eat out at lots of different establishments so know what kind of service to expect and it certainly isn't the service we received here.

We had a coffee here over the nice weekend. It was going to be coffee and cake, however the cost for two of us put that out of our budget. The coffee was nice and the staff pleasant and the view was great with wildlife and a variety of boats.

A very pleasant walk along the canal towpath brought us to Overwater Marina where the Coffee Lounge serves enjoyable snacks. I had vegetable soup which was nice and thick and tasty. Friends had backed potato and panini which they said was good. It was very pleasant to eat outside at picnic tables watching canal barges go by.

Lovely place, food is good but very expensive. Waiting time is consistently unacceptable. 30 minutes for 2 cups of tea, a bacon bap and a Panini?

Took the hounds out for a stroll and ended up calling in here for coffee lunch and a sneaky cake! There was a good menu with some delicious selections but I had a pork & stuffing bap-delicious! At £4.50 it's maybe more expensive than some places but the views and the place are lovely. Had to indulge in the carrot cake which was to die for! Mmmmm we'll be back!

Cakes to absolutely die for here and a great English breakfast too!! Debs and the staff are wonderful hosts and it is spotlessly clean. We love going here as a pit stop for our canal and country lane walks as a wide variety of drinks and food are available. It's a special place with lovely views too.Lena of Broomhall

Finally revisited after a long time & ordered my usual meatballs & my friend had a halloumi baguette. They take card payments now, which they didn't use to pre-pandemic & the waiter was a tad snarky when we asked if they did. Food was served quickly & freshly-made. The meatballs could do with more seasoning & the side salad wasn't the best, but the chips were nice, hot & crisp. Overall, Konak hasn't changed much. It's still a popular place for lunch.

It’s a shame the old staff have gone, they were the heart of the village pub. I took my first drink back as the wine was off. A new bottle opened but if the manager wants to mutter under her breath she can’t be bothered with this customer - she needs to do it so the customer doesn’t hear her! Not professional at all. It a shame as the pub use to be such a jolly place. The local Shoot spends a lot of money after their day together - but not anymore 🥲

Only Steak house I've ever been to who can't cook steak to how you order it. 3 times I've been now & 3 times they've over cooked my steak. Never again unfortunately cos the staff & atmosphere are good
