Have had many good meals here, but tonight was disappointed. Although arriving & ordering before 7.30pm the moussaka, my favourite, had run out. We were seated upstairs, where a large party was very loud, making for an unpleasant evening for everyone else. I accept that this is not the fault of the staff, but I won't be rushing back.

This is a genuine Greek/Mediterranean restaurant. Family run, excellent food and very reasonably priced. Great menu and excellent service. Hy

We frequent this location at least once a week, but are noticing that unless you are a "regular" you get ignored by the bar tenders...to the point they turn their backs! Young flirty girls...giving their regular customers immediate attention and ignoring other customers. Tonight, one of the "regulars " had to direct one of the bartenders to us when we were twice ignored by the other. Not ok Filomito. Watch your cameras and see for yourself. Customers...ALL customers deserve equal attention.

Great place to top up your Greek holiday if you're missing your favourite food. Food was fantastic and plenty of it. We were a party of three, and we said next time we'll order two dishes and share. Definitely going back

Fantastic food and service. But very pricey on drinks, paid £3 for half pint of tap water with a dash of blackcurrant cordial. Very disappointed

The food was lovely, the staff were friendly but the evening was spoilt for us by being seated between 2 tables with really noisy people on. One table with 2 couples who seemed to just be shouting and almost screaming when they laughed, and the other with 6 or 7 men, also shouting. The atmosphere was more akin to Wetherspoons than to what we had hoped would be a nice restaurant experience. It might help if there was something of a restaurant vibe...maybe slightly dimmer lighting, some Greek music playing but instead it was just noise. We couldn't have a regular conversation as we literally couldn't hear each other. I appreciate it may not be the restaurant's fault, maybe we were just unlucky to be stuck between noisy guests with no consideration of others, but it has put us off going again sadly

What a brilliant place, 10/10 the food was delicious, the wine flowed, this was for a bday/retirement party of 25, with 2 unexpected guests which the staff handled very well, very professional Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful night, well done to the chef and staff, much appreciated

A superb Greek Restaurant. A fabulous menu and the quality of the food was exceptional. The calamari was the best we had tasted anywhere. The meatballs were so light with a wonderful home made tomato sauce. The prawn starter was also great. We shared a Mussaka which was enough for two people and that too was better than anything cooked on various Greek Islands- not surprising as the owners and cook are Greek. A very special and enjoyable evening. Your talents are greatly appreciated and your excellent reviews are well deserved.

So disappointed. Our meal was supposed to come with a bowl of rice each! We were given a tiny bowl to share! The rice was fairly cold. My husband ordered chicken and it was minuscule. Which would have been ok if we each had a portion of rice. Most of the staff were friendly but a young blonde girl had a face on her all night and it seemed like it was an effort to talk or serve us. Not one smile or manners. She offered all tables around us a limoncello but bypassed ours completely. Would not recommend

Really lovely food, great atmosphere. The only thing I would mention is if you have anyone who has accessibly issues you would need to tell them when booking as upstairs is up some metal quite steep stairs. Otherwise food, drink and staff were great.

Overall poor service from the young male waiter I had to repeat the issues several times and all I got was "what?" Main course was the chicken gyro the chicken was more like dry scraps which were crunchy and more like cardboard (I bet cardboard would be more tender!). I had one mouthful and left it all eventually the waiter arrived asked how it was and I told him the food was appaling, I'll tell the chef no apology. I was offered a free desert, I think a more appropriate answer would have been ok we won't charge you but obviously not , I had to go to the bar to request a bill as we were basically ignored after I complained whilst other customers were getting free shots of alcohol on the table next to us!!!

Lovely staff, good service, lovely food, a overall fab experience and would love to come back. The menu offers a good choice of mixed dishes, enjoyed the fact that you get rice, chips and salad with your main and these are shared with other dinners on the table. Loved the optional shot at the end of the meal.

We had a lovely family meal, all the food we had was really tasty - two of the party were vegetarian and they were pleased with the choice avaliable. Service was very quick and the restaurant was busy which made for a great atmosphere . We would highly recommend.

You are very expensive, with not alot in the plate! I would like to see Chili con carne in your menu. And a couple of English dishes please. More mince meat dishes, rice dishes . And perhaps a pasta dish.

Popped in for some Greek food over Sunday lunch after driving past this restaurant many times and it was absolutely insanely good - the food, beer and service was 10/10. We will definitely be back and I’m so glad it’s a lovely local venue!

This is possibly the 7th time we have visited this Restaurant and once again the food was fantastic , service was great as always. My wife had Moussaka and I had the Gyros which was a huge meal especially as we shared a starter before hand. I have read a review that says they are expensive and wants Chilli Con Carne and pasta on the menu, really, mate if you want cheap food with Chilli and pasta go to the George, a Wetherspoons pub just across the square. This is a Greek restaurant ! My only gripe is when you offer customers a complementary drink please offer Ouzo😁 . We are visiting again on Mother’s Day, already looking forward to it.

Visited on a Friday evening, and glad we booked a table. When we arrived there was just one other table occupied but the restaurant filled up quickly. We were tempted by the meze but on a previous visit remembered the portions were large! Started off with three dips; hummus, tzatziki and a feta and yoghurt dip with plenty of warm pita bread. Then the mains. OMG. Husband’s moussaka came with chips, rice and salad! My mixed gyros was piled high on another pita, with a very generous portion of chips and a side salad. Unfortunately we couldn’t finish it all (and took some home for the next day’s lunch). The manager looked stricken but we explained it was just too much food for us. The bottle of house wine was a decent Pinot Grigio at a very fair price. The food was very good and the staff young and friendly.

For a restaurant that claims to be Vegetarian and Vegan friendly I was a bit dismayed at being presented with Calamari as my vegetarian option as part of a Meze meal. I left at that point having no faith left that the chef had the first clue what being vegetarian meant. The most expensive hummus, olives and halloumi night out I've ever had.

Great place, family atmosphere and top-class service. The fact that Greek music is playing in the background adds a great atmosphere. When it comes to food, this is without a doubt the best Greek restaurant in the UK I've ever eaten at. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

Our first time at Filotimo after a friend’s recommendation. The dining area downstairs is unassuming, and casual. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent. It’s always served with rice fries and salad, which is a great accompaniment for most dishes. Portion sizes were generous. Quality was excellent. Overall we had a lovely evening at a reasonable price. Also offered a free shot of ouzo at the end of our meal.We will definitely be back.

We have known about this place for sometime. Finally a window to visit. An unassuming exterior but once inside the smells of Greek food hit you hard. Greeted and sat by a friendly host, our orders taken and wow what a feast! Amazing vegetarian options and the Gyros were amazing. Flavoursome and plenty to feed the biggest appetite! The only niggle was being sat by a family with young children who were clearly enjoying the food and making a little mess - but then again isn’t this what family time and amazing food is all about. Maybe separate family’s and couples? We left full, and happy from the dining experience! See you again soon.

We ate with friends and were absolutely blown away with this place. Great good, great wine and great service! Scarlett really looked after us. A reasonably priced menu, we all had three courses with wine and water and were not shocked by the bill. I throughly recommended this place, we will definitely be back!

Seriously?! Been told that the restaurant closes at 9pm, so why don't you update on the web too? People can drive miles to come there and all you tell is we're open but we don't serve food!!

On Sunday we were with the family at the restaurant for a birthday dinner. The place was recommended to me by friends and I can honestly say I do not regret this decision! At first I had concerns about the kitchen, whether it would be real Greek cuisine. 30 years ago, I lived in Greece for 2 years and I really liked the cuisine, so I was wondering if a restaurant in the middle of England could do that?! And I felt like then, those unforgettable flavors returned. I can recommend this restaurant with all my heart if someone wants to taste Greece. The only downside of this dinner was the service, namely the young girl behind the bar should smile more, because she gave the impression that she was there as a punishment, fortunately, the food defended itself and covered this minus. It is a pity that I did not meet the owners or at least the person responsible for such delicious food, maybe next time because I will definitely go back there. I chanced upon this restaurant when stopping for dinner in Sandbach and it was a very lucky find. The food brought out many flavours, the waitress was very kind, there was a good and calm atmosphere, and I did not have to wait for a table. I definitely recommend it for anyone searching for a restaurant in Sandbach. Note, however, that the menus serve as placemats!

This restaurant is a small Greek gem in north-western England! I did not know about it until I stopped in Sandbach, looking for dinner, on my way from Liverpool to Walsall. The food was flavoursome and prepared to a high standard and the waitress was very kind. One must remember, however, that the menus are also placemats!

First visit. Just returned from lindos in Rhodes. So wanted some Greek food. Weren't disappointed.

This come recommended, Catered for my daughter gluten free. Lovely food, just to much of it, over faced us a bit. Think they need to look at portion control. Drinks service bit slow. Needs greek background music for a better atmosphere. Food very nice tho'.

Understandably, Filotimo is getting quite busy on occasions. This restaurant is a firm favorite of ours and the food is delicious. Very good wines on offer at quite reasonable prices. Look forward to our next visit.

Out 2nd time eating here, it won't be our last authentic Greek food. I had the spetsofai for starter and that is one of the best starters I've had in a long time, I would have this as a main if that's on the menu next time. For main I had stifado and the meat was very tender on my previous visit I had the kleftico which is my favourite Greek dish and that was very good but I wanted to try a different main this time and I was not disappointed. We went as 2 couples all had a starter mains and desserts with 2 rounds of drinks and it came to a very reasonably £140

Authentic Greek food cooked well and with love , attentive service by pleasant staff and great value to top it off - I wouldn't really bother elsewhere in Sandbach , the alternatives are way too expensive for what they are or just not very good , this is neither of these things , highly recommended !

Lovely experience with great service in a relaxed atmosphere. There were many vegetarian appetizers and mains to choose from, all of which were bigger portions than expected, moderately priced, and very flavourful. May be helpful to prebook if going at a busier time. Very lovely time and would go back if in the area again.

The food here is amazing!! Can't say different. I have not had a bad meal here yet, and it's real Greek comfort food along with some lighter options if you fancy! I'm severely allergic to nuts and they always make me feel welcome, and more importantly safe eating with them Highly recommended by us!

Nice Greek food. On the downside, the starters (such as tzatziki, tyrokafteri etc.) are just tiny little portions, so I wouldn't recommend them. The food is tasty and the mains portions are good, however slightly overpriced.

Absolute gem of a little restaurant we always visit here a fair few times a year. Fantastic greek restaurant. Mine and husband's favourite place to go for date night. Food is excellent every time and the service is brilliant.

Authentic Greek Cuisine and great service. Booked for a Birthday treat. Been to Greece and surrounding isles several times over the years and have always loved the traditional dishes so it was a pleasure to discover this little gem. There were 4 of us eating and starters consisted of prawns in garlic, dolmades, creamy garlic mushrooms and a spicy sausage dish and all were lovely. For mains we had Moussaka, Stifado and a couple of Kleftikos. All of the dishes were authentic and tasty and everything was reasonably priced for the quality. The mains came with a shared collection of rice, seasoned fries and salad, a fair share was still left over as we were all full. Including a bottle of wine and coffees for after, the cost pp was around £27 which I feel was well worth it. Highly recommended if in the area and you like Greek cuisine.

The only positive about this restaurant is the staff (not including chef) The service was quick, friendly and helpful. However, don’t expect to see anyone remotely of Greek nationality; we visited on a busy Friday evening and the waiting on staff were all young kids...

So this is an update from my previous review. We have since eaten here multiple times and not only is the food great but their service is excellent. The one time bad review was unfortunate and every takeaway or dine in experience has been top notch.

Visited again with family however despite the food being good the service was poor the waiting on staff were non attentive and void of personality no banter had to ask for things also why they think sitting at a table made of pallets is ideal I dont know not as good as our last visit

Had the most delicious meal at Filotimo! They were able to give us a table at short notice and when we arrived they greated us with a lovely warm welcome. Food was delicious and clearly fresh, accompanied by a lovely carafe of house white. Hope to have a return visit sometime soon!

As Greeks we have finally found authentic Greek food in UK. The food was exceptional and the service even better with authentic nice people who really took care of us. We loved the decor and the music. We have tasted some of the best starters and the mains were to die for. The fried feta with honey is one of the best things I have ever tasted when it comes to cheese. An amazing restaurant, this will definitely be a go to restaurant for us!
