We visited as a party of 8 on the Christmas concert evening at the Church.We had pre booked our food choices from a limited menu selection but we all were very happily catered for.On arrival we received first class,attentive service,enjoyed delicious food and the atmosphere was perfect … a great way to start a special evening

Visited on Christmas Eve. The restaurant was very busy but the staff were as welcoming as usual. The service was spot on and the food as good as usual. Always enjoy our visit to Amans and they always make us feel very welcome.

Friendly staff, food impeccable, nothing is too much trouble for Cathy and her well trained staff. 100,% every single time , hot fresh food plentiful portions, really great atmosphere we won't go anywhere else and haven't for 15 years. Highly recommeded

What a lovely Pub. Spent the whole day/night in there and we were treated exceptionally from start to finish. Food is definitely at the higher end of the scale and you do pay a little bit more for it but wow is it definitely worth it. We had an "extremely" fussy eating child with us, I'm talking only eating "dry" spaghetti at the minute so we were in trouble. The staff/chef went out of their way to cook her a child's portion of the linguini they had on the menu with zero sauce and she said it was the best pasta she'd ever had! Imagine telling a master chef he has just upped his game by cooking plain pasta, but that's how it was! In short, excellent staff, excellent food and an amazing attitude to customer care. We'll definitely be back. (if they'll have us) :-)

Lovely breakfast table ready when we walked in. Lovely food and choice also reasonably priced Visit made extra special by waitress who was on duty Sunday 7th July. She was patient with the active children friendly and pleasant. I did not have chance to thank her when we left. Please do so on our behalf

I have become somewhat of a regular nipping into GG’s for a hot chocolate while I walk my little pup! Such a blessing to have them at the Mere. I always go for a hot chocolate as motivation to do a lap round. Always lovely staff on shift, it’s nice to have a little laugh when you order coffee. Nice gluten free snacks too.

Tiny portions and extremely bland. Hardly any meat in the orders. Won't be ordering from here again. Waste of money, such a disappointment

I have had a takeaway (Salt & Pepper ribs) every Thursday for years from here and they never ever disappoint. I get dim sum on a fairly regular basis and also Barbecue ribs. Whenever I've had a meal here the food is always good. The service is great and the staff are friendly and professional. Definitely recommended 😁👍

The food is beautiful and very fast delivery, I would definitely recommend, the sweet and sour chicken is my favourite, the salt and pepper chips are so crispy and will be returning here again

Been here many times and always for breakfast and it’s always been fine with pleasant staff and plenty of room to sit. You can’t moan at the quality plus the coffee is really good for a machine.
