Friendly staff, food impeccable, nothing is too much trouble for Cathy and her well trained staff. 100,% every single time , hot fresh food plentiful portions, really great atmosphere we won't go anywhere else and haven't for 15 years. Highly recommeded

TYLER is an amazing waitress and is very attentive and deserves a raise xo also food was lovely as everything was homemade

Lovely breakfast table ready when we walked in. Lovely food and choice also reasonably priced Visit made extra special by waitress who was on duty Sunday 7th July. She was patient with the active children friendly and pleasant. I did not have chance to thank her when we left. Please do so on our behalf

I have become somewhat of a regular nipping into GG’s for a hot chocolate while I walk my little pup! Such a blessing to have them at the Mere. I always go for a hot chocolate as motivation to do a lap round. Always lovely staff on shift, it’s nice to have a little laugh when you order coffee. Nice gluten free snacks too.

We've eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. Met our lovlies friends for a meal tonight. The food was amazing and the staff and service exceptional as always. Thank you to all the staff

We called in a couple of weeks before to see if they could accommodate 20+ people for a meal to celebrate a 75th birthday, couldn’t have been more helpful showed us around, gave us menus to take with us and even said they would alter the tables arrangement to suit. On the day as everything was as they promised, all 20 something meals came out at the same time and the food was fantastic, the staff were extremely helpful and anything we needed wasn’t any trouble. Would recommend to anyone to go and try here everything great including the setting, decor and all for a great price.

2nd time I have been here now. Had the szechuan chicken 1st time and now a chicken in black pepper sauce Spot on No .issues and full of flavours

They do some really tasty food, but when I order a sandwich it’s touched by bare hands and I really struggle with it. Please use tongs etc

Tiny portions and extremely bland. Hardly any meat in the orders. Won't be ordering from here again. Waste of money, such a disappointment

Not impressed delivery took over an hour. Would not recommend. When food finally arrived it was not very nice. Had much better

The worst food I have eaten at a wetherspoons. I returned the steak as it should have been medium but was cremated. When they replaced the steak it was raw and the rest of the food cold. Clearly they had not replaced the whole meal. My husband's chicken was awful too. Dry presented very poorly and the coleslaw missing . We would certainly not recommend this Wetherspoons. Awful.

Ordered the man vs food box which is Donner meat, their home made chicken donner, chips Smothered in cheese in a 9 inch pizza box costing nearly £14. Looking at the pictures of the chicken donner on their Facebook page I was expecting to get some kind of red Donner meat that comes in strips like the lamb Donner does. This was pieces of chicken marinated in some
