The best restaurants in Castle Carlisle North West

Lovely ambience ,dull menu . Made to feel like an idiot when I ordered a soup and a cheese scone .Instead of soup for me and a cheese scone for my Mum please .Separately . Not v busy at 1pm on a sunny day in school holidays .

Stayed at the county hotel in Carlisle on 29/3/25 the room as fine but the bed was not the mattress sloped on one side and was very hard so my husband rolled out of bed once and neither of us slept ,The breakfast was very good .My husband was asked if we had a good night sleep so he said no and explained and was told it was a new bed .My husband said the bed mite be but the mattress was not . Such a shame . All staff very nice

Cancelled train meant I had to get food quickly, so was forced to try here. Laughed at the reviews and rolled the dice despite them. The middle-aged guy with the glasses and short beard served me, nice enough guy to me personally tbh but... There was only one piece of bread left (it was just before 5pm to be fair) Barely any drinks No napkins No bags No lettuce That was all actually fine Then I got out and went to eat the sandwich, bread was stale. Olives looked old. Meat was debatable. Binned it 😂 Might have been fine but everything being out of stock and the reviews didn't fill me with confidence. He also turned off the lights while I was still in the shop and locked the door right behind me as I left

Nice service but not the cleanest. Sat on the sofa which had a dip in the middle and had lots of crumbs down the side which really put me off my drink and would be reluctant to buy food.

the driver was excilent dispite my failure to properly answer the phone and his clear being thrown he didn't ask questions and exceeded my exspectations i was incredibly impressed my drinks didn't even fiz meaning he was careful on the drive to 10/10

Giving 1star is actually a higher score than what it delivers or deserves.. I called in last night for a 12inch pizza meal deal, 1st the person on the other side of the phone ain't very clear on what they know from the menu, she's not English native and is so hard to understand her 50% of the time. When I asked for the order, I asked if I could make my own pizza( choice of toppings only) and I was denied due to not being on the meal deal menu, wow hahaha.. this was the 1st time in 18y someone has ever denied me that, bare in mind my toppings would be way cheaper than your meat feast and yet they are clueless about it. When she denied me it she also apologised and that shows that there's a fault here towards a customer. I'm okay tho I still got to eat has there's so much more takeaways in Carlisle and with better customer service/offers. My advice, get your simple details right, just the fact that I can't understand the person on the other side of the phone is already an "off button".

Dreadful! Ordered ahead as wanted gluten free option. Staff very unfriendly and had shocking attitudes! Staff incorrectly labelled my food - despite my gluten intolerance. Spent entire weekend violently throwing up as a result of their lack lustre approach. Avoid at all costs!!

On the app I see my delivery was delivered but still not arrived at home give me my money back now

Had the best breakfast wrap I've ever had from a maccys. Lovely clean restaurant. Staff very friendly.

Used to be fantastic but after a lukewarm meal being delivered I rang them and explained and they said they would replace so I waited until 11.30pm and nothing. So I rang the next day for my money back but they wouldn't give it because they said I shouldn't order from them if I don't like there food!!!!!! I'm a regular customer!!!! But the chap I spoke to was sooooooo rude and I'm pretty sure he doesn't shout at MALE customers like he did at me!!!!!! I'm owed £12 and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, they are soooo rude and pick on women

Absolutely awful think the naan bread was cooked last Tuesday. Curry wasn't bad but won't be going back.

Fogg is the restaurant based within the ibis Carlisle hotel. The food quality is what saves it, the price they charge, the portion size the present and the ambience which it is set in, would lead you to seek another place to eat the next night or if you have read this, look to eat somewhere else on the first night. I have stayed in plenty of ibis hotels and this for a food experience rating currently would sit at the bottom of that I have eaten at.

Come here on Wednesday 20th July never again god the food was cold an staff aren't bothered at all about being there flys and ants every where
