Sweet n sour chicken balls with fried rice ..awful ! Chicken balls were soggy fried rice clumpy and mushy and sauce had an after taste ..ate some because hungry but rest went in bin .what a waste of money wont use again

Got the share box absolutely vile, chicken was pulled out of freezer straight into fryer puke, and the box was smothered in salt waste of money and time disgusting never again. Do not recommend to anyone.

1st time from ordering from here but won't be the last. Yes delivered early but that wasn't a problem as we were at home. Shame we couldn't find chop suey on the menu but what we ordered was very tasty.

Best sauces from any Chinese! the curry sauce and sweet and sour are the best with perfect flavour. The crispy beef could be more crispy other than that so delicious.

Chinese got delivered to wrong address, was offered a refund still haven’t got it and they won’t answer the phone

Decent food, slightly more expensive than others

Not a happy bunny! Avoid like fire! Food took 2 hours to arrive despite calling to chase up after an hour. I couldn’t cancel because food was on its way. Nonsense! Called again after 1.5h. to be told that delivery driver won’t be long! Lad was very nice. To top it up, food was not worth the wait. Salty, bland and my duck still had skin on. Not even crispy. Very disappointing indeed.

Very nice food only problem is if you book by just eat it’s more expensive

Delivered early which was fine, only took 30 minutes! Food was delicious and they even threw in some free vegetable spring rolls which were lovely!

I left a review for an order this evening on 24/12/2023. I was hasty in writing my review as we have always had excellent service and food from Happy Kitchen. The order was late because it was Christmas Eve and they were very busy and the house wasn’t easy to find which are all variables out of their control. Thank you for the delivery the food was excellent as always. I wish I could delete my previous review but unfortunately I can’t. Thank you.

So fresh and tasty. Best Chinese food I’ve had in a long time. S&S king prawns were just beautiful.

36 minutes later and still waiting

Got pineapple instead of banana fritters and pineapple and ginger duck not pineapple duck which I did not eat as not keen on ginger. Not sure if it was a glitch in the ordering system? Food was hot and on time.

Quick delivery, ordered the munchie box and was very disappointed so many chips and barely any meat, wings and ribs had barely any meat on them so pretty much paid £13.80 for a box of chips and curry sauce.

First time ordering. Arrived slightly earlier than the requested time, this was not an issue. Portion sizes are pretty good and the food was tasty. We ordered a crispy chicken in a Peking sauce, chicken chow mein, and another chicken in a pineapple Peking sauce along with some prawn crackers. They sent a portion of mini spring rolls free of charge, which was a nice touch. Will definitely use again. Thank you

I ordered beef fried rice and revived chicken fried rice, and my order took 12 minutes in total from me ordering and being delivered to my house… too quick if you ask me

I have a ring doorbell. I have video footage of driver just putting food on door step . He did not press door bell. I fpund food on door step an hour and a half later. I called restaurent they said driver waited over 5 minutes. Thats not true. Video shows him getting out car putting food on door step then leaving. Avoid in future.

Decent enough. Nice soup. Chicken balls and salt and pepper chips were soggy because they were in polystyrene but the flavour was still there. Not keen on the sweet and sour sauce, very lemony reminded me of washing up liquid. Nice chow mein

What has happened to this place . Ordered my usual special fried rice and came as dry as ghandis flip flop .. meat inedible! Chips I could of smashed windows with!! Haven't had a Chinese take away for a long time and I will never ever come here again!! Prawn crackers were fried in old dirty oil and stale!! Actually gutted!!!

I have been using Happy Kitchen for years but my order today 2/ 09/2023was disgusting re heated chips and as for the rest of the food ordered well I can only say I was not impressed don't think I'll be using you again Good takeaway gone bad Carlisle takeaways need to up their game instead of serving rubbish food

Seeing as this is a takeaway only your questions are irrelevant however I have used Happy Kitchen for years and it has been exceptional but I ordered today 2nd September 2023 and the food was disgusting I will order one more time in the future and if the food is still the as disgusting then I will never use Happy Kitchen again Very very poor

The worst Chinese I’ve ever had. So bland. Sweet and sour sauce was just red lemon juice, a lot he food was bland. Made me feel Ill too. Never going back do not recommend if you actually like to taste food

Food was ok, tasted fresh enough, but £8.00 for a meal/£3 for rice, £2 delivery and a 50p charge from just eat, not the cheapest around and there's no option to pickup.

I do love all the dishes cook my favourite special, chow mein is my I do like all the dishes that I got a few dishes of the time. I wish you would make pineapple fritters or a banana fritter for dessert I have been to the shop, it is very clean. Food taste, wonderful I wouldn’t moan because Are good in the cooking. I cannot tell you anything else just go. Enjoy yourself

Appalling sausage chips and gravy my son received. The gravy was black like tar, sticky and so thick it didn’t move… had little-no taste… not sure what it tasted of. Was disgusting. Complained to Just Eat. Have a picture to prove it. Really bad.

As always, a beautiful meal from Happy Kitchen. Everything cooked perfectly, hot and delicious delivered right on time. This is one takeaway you can count on for consistently good quality food. Just how it should be.

Messed up my order twice. Refused a refund even though curry sauce pots broke twice and paper bag with chips in broke twice as it was soaked through with grease.

Ordered sweet and sour crispy chicken that that was wrong. Chips were all lose in bag and 2 curry sauces were wrong. They resent the food and it all happened again. Customer service is awful as she basically accused me of lying.

My curry was really watery and the beef was rubbery

Firstly order left on doorstep must of sat there for at least 45 minutes so was stone cold i have a door knocker and two dogs who bark house down when anyone at front door so question if they even knocked . I just happened to open door or i would never of known it had been there . The food was bland tasteless the starter box was a joke for £6.50 awful . Main was thrown away due to lack of taste the worst Chinese meal i have EVER ordered why people say this is good i don’t know . Happy kitchen .... very very unhappy customer . Never again .

Food is always delivered piping hot, well cooked and fresh, very large, varied menu, 5 star hygiene rating. Duck dishes especially are amazing.

Curry itself was nice once cold but chicken wad bone dry. Ended up getting something else from the hotel I was in. Had the curry sauce fried rice and mushrooms from the curry later in the might but ditched the chicken (hoping that's what it was)

Whilst the visual aspect of the takeaway isn't too great, the food is extremely nice. Good portion sizes and very tasty. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. So far, best Chinese food in Carlisle.
