Fortune Garden in Carlisle

My favourite local chinese takeaway, service is excellent, food pipping hot and very tasty! Yum 😋 ( I just thought I'd mention on my plate is half the food i received, saving the rest for work)

This is the best Chinese I have tried in Carlisle so far. We regularly use Fortune Gardens. Never had a problem from them. Delivery is always within a reasonable time

A great Chinese (British version) takeaway. Fast service, healthy portions, reasonable prices and great tasting food. Easy to find if you're collecting (just off London Road) with options for delivery as well. Would happily recommend this vendor to anyone looking for a Chinese Takeaway in the Carlisle area!

Disgusting!! Waited 1 hour 30 and it came it was cold. Salt and pepper chips were soggy and no flavour by far the worst I’ve had in Carlisle

Very nice food. Portions are slightly smaller than a lot of other places but would recommend.

Ordered for 7pm. Wasn’t ready til half past. Got home (middle of countryside). Food missing. Had to return and no recompense after spending over £40. Won’t be returning.

Awful experience with this take away. Ordered a set meal with beef in black bean sauce. Extra portion of salt and chilli squid.& 2 soups and rice ect. We were told it would take 2 hours to be delivered which we didn’t mind and waited. When it arrived I paid the driver £28.80 and went to enjoy it. The soups were lovely. The main dishes were extremely disappointing, the squid was inedible, could not chew it, very rubbery! And the black bean sauce was so overpowering that we were unable to eat that too. I phones the take away and the first person I spoke to understood and said that they would ring back about a refund. I waited and hour and a half still no call back so I rang again and asked for a manager. He said that he was unwilling to offer a refund even if we had a terrible meal.

Worst Chinese I've ever had in my life. Never seen a special fried rice like it 😳😳

Always had good food over the past 3 years, but tonight it was only fit for the bin. Very disappointed.

Nice take out .. Got a chicken curry and a peking chicken . Decent portions , fair price . Collected myself- ready very quickly . Seemed popular, lots of take outs going out for delivery.

Ordered food for 7pm turned up 5.30 !!! Was taken back then redelivered over half an hour late. Food that turned up was awful ended up throwing it out.

Food was ok taste wise, but very very greasy. I did not eat most of it because of the grease. I thought was a little bit expensive.

Good range of options. Can improve in the customer area I recommend some color and deco

Food was great but not impressed with customers being allowed in without a mask on and a delivery driver walks in with a cigarette in his mouth. The owners said nothing. Food hygene standards agency would not be impressed.

Probably the best chow mein I've ever had, and I've had alot of chow meins. We got the vegetable chow mein and my biggest fear is finding a piece of meat in my meal. There wasn't so that's a plus. The spring rolls were crispy and tasteful. The seaweed was perfectly seasoned. The cooking time was quick and the staff were friendly. If you want a Chinese in carlisle go here!!

First time ordering from here and it certainly didn't disappoint.. The food was excellent.. Will definitely be ordering from here again..

I order twice every week, tonight ordered 4 minutes after you opened, your website said 40 Minutes, called after an hour and half later as no delivery. To be told “we are busy” how many orders did you take in the 3 minutes before mine!

Delicious local take away, didn't have to wait long for our order, generous portions, really good rice and noodles and don't miss out on their 'spicy box'!
