Fast delivery, incredible dishes. Ordered recently and the food was even better than usual. I’m not sure if they have a new chef or new supplier, but I’m not complaining. Amazing food. Best salt and pepper chips in Carlisle Best Kung Po chicken in Carlisle Their crispy noodle dishes are fantastic too. 5 star!!!

We order regularly from Joyful House. Excellent customer service, quick delivery and amazing food. Have had a lot of Chinese Takeaways over the years, this is definitely one of the best. Very highly recommended

Absolutely rubbish. Food not delivered. An hour after delivery time still not delivered. Rang up, rude and nonchalant telephone service. Avoid at all costs.

Ordered from here tonight for me & my partner. Food came about 20~ minutes earlier than expected which was a surprise. The food itself is lovely, not doused in grease like most other Chinese places in Carlilse, you get quite a lot when you order too (Rice & noodles galore!) so it's 100% worth it. I'd definitely get food from here again.

Often go here always been satisfying order off food hub but found a long black hair on 1 of the meals!! Staff not very helpful by asking why I didn't phone up straight away? I'd not long finished work and was just serving it up so very disappointed

I pointed this out, and she was rather rude and abrupt in her reply. Although I thought better of it, I ordered food later on and it was disappointing and overpriced for what it was. Avoid this place!

This is around 8 months ago I was staying at someone elses house and I had ordered from this spot around 7.30pm waited an hour nothing phoned them up again woman on other end started getting annoyed and said that driver knocked on door but they didn't knock at all ordered again same thing happens and then phoned them up again woman on the other said that they aren't taking my order anymore because the driver had been to my location twice even though I was keeping an eye out for them and didn't see anything and in the end just ordered from another place and actually got my food. 0 out of 5 for customer service

New to the area and tried a few different places all around but Joyful House is the best. Guy who is front counter is fantastic. We spent around £30 just then, free prawn crackers, spring rolls, chips and fortune cookies (only 2 though when we ordered 3 meals lol ) Very tasty food. Definitely be back in

Long story short my plain chow mein arrived as a dry block of boiled noodles totally inedible and frankly disgusting the only ingredient that made it remotely what I ordered was the fact it contained noodles.no bean sprouts or typical sauce associated with a chow mein. To top it off all I got on the phone was yeah that’s a plain chow mein therefor no refund, totally unacceptable will not be returning.

They are normally spot on but tonight was a shambles I asked for bbq sauce instead of sweet and sour with my chicken balls so I rang them back so they can send me the bbq so they did but they sent sweet and sour again then I rang them back and just done nothing but back chat saying I lied so I will not be ordering again due to very poor customer service

We used to go here years ago and thought we would give it a try again, this was without doubt the worst Chinese I have ever had, sweet and sour chicken balls full of fat dripping out and the sauce was like wall paper paste could not eat and had to bin it. Will not be back in a million years

Ordered here last night and food came in a good time and was lovely and hot ... the chilli shredded beef was delicious and my daughter had the one spring roll I expected it to be a small spring roll but it was huge!! So I got half lol very tasty !! Cant fault it in any way !! Will definitely order again.

Just had joyful house for the first time and it was incredible I WILL NOT be going anywhere else from on !!! The pork dumplings were the best I have ever had and the chicken satay was to die for head and shoulders above anywhere else in carlisle good job guys thankyou very much 👍

Best chinese in denton holme carlisle

Our go to Chinese , wouldn't go anywhere else , gone for over 10 years , always top class food , don't believe the 10-15 minute pick up time as it's often quite a bit longer but worth the wait

My Family and I have been coming to this Chinese for years, my Dad has been coming here since he was a little boy (now 56) Never been disappointed! Wouldn’t go anywhere else the staff are lovely, especially the guy that’s been working there since my Dad was younger he’s a very nice man, customer service is great. Food is unreal very good sized portions couldn’t recommend the joyful house enough. X

The joyful house is the only Chinese takeaway I will eat from. They sell food that they themselves would eat. They do not use spam and fish sticks in any of their food, they only use real cuts of meat and fish. They don’t make “special” into a fried egg with gravy topped box of rice with spam. They make real Chinese food and will make it how they would eat it and how you will love it. Too many Chinese takeaway businesses in carlisle are selling the same cheap, disgusting, so called Chinese food and too many people are buying it. If you want something that you will enjoy but a house special fried rice from the joyful house and you will see how Chinese people really eat. The staff here are really friendly and are now delivering as of tomorrow with food hub Excellent food,excellent chefs and staff. 5 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Food seems healthier than other take aways buy is just as or more tasty. Some items on the menu that I haven't seen anywhere else in Carlisle. Usually quick, we usually pick.up so don't know about delivery.

Joyful house is actually on the other side of the road,the picture is the Royal kitchen. My wife and I had a meal on Saturday evening,it was poor! My wife had chicken & mushroom udon,£5.70,I had double happy(chicken & duck)£6.30,both meals lacked taste,and we're very ordinary!we also got a portion of chips,which were way over cooked,they went right in the bin.We won't be going back!

For a start the picture it shows is NOT the Joyful House. That takeaway is the Royal Kitchen 116 Denton St, Denton Holme. On Friday 17th February I got myself fried rice chips and gravy. When I got home I opened it up and it looked very yukky. There is one thing for sure I will never go back there.

I would highly recommend this Chinese Take Away in Denton Holme. I visit regularly due to the good food, large variety and friendly staff.

Me encanta este restaurante chino que he sido un cliente durante 14 años aproximadamente, aunque me trasladé de Denton Holme hace años me sigue cross ciudad de venir aquí. La comida que ni siquiera en el menú, simplemente organizarla para mí. El arroz frito es precioso y la comida es siempre fresca y red hot!Mi boca es realmente deliciosos pensando en mi favorito.

Usually have a takeaway even Saturday and we always get it from here. Lovely food and lovely staff. Can't fault anything!

The food here is very good considering that you have two other similar outlets on a short street in Denton Holme, Carlisle. Would happily recommend but the frozen chips were a first from Chinese takeaway. 01/11/15

Hicimos un viaje última noche ya que sentí la necesidad de una comida para llevar. La comida es buena y los precios son razonables. A veces alguien le pide algo del menú, pero luego quiere esto, eso y el otro añadido o eliminado ... que sentarse y observar el hombre sirve ir desde sonríen a molesto. Siempre me mobiliario es apropiado cuando alguien le pide algo que me cambiaran, pero no me hagas reír! Eso es parte del encanto del lugar. no tienes galletas gratuitos de gambas aquí pero niños conseguir pirulís (bien, la mía! ). Buen lugar para tus chino.

This used to be our local Chinese takeaway. I only ever got one thing from the menu: curried vegetables and fried rice. I never wanted to have anything else. It's *always* busy - surely the sign of a good outlet!
