As usual, terrible. No staff. Long waiting time. Food is thrown together and cold. Kids area with nothing working.

Bit hectic especially downstairs no organisation really like a cattle market,we ordered on screen upstairs but due to a problem crashed and no receipt so had to go downstairs to explain ,food was fine but seating very basic and small and cramped in.it filled us up briefly but not one of the better franchisee.

Your hungry half hour after eating but nice junk food

I don't eat big meals at lunchtime, so I can always get something small, there meals are not always very warm.

Typical McDonalds. Can get busy as a city centre location, which can have an impact on wait times. Overall it appears very clean.

Ordered through the McDonald's app Missing items only ordered 5 things. Called to ask them to correct got palmed off onto Uber eats. Absolutely useless

Young kids throwing food was a disgusting thing to see

It's McDonald's. It's never going to be perfect. But it's not cheap these days. My biggest complaint is why the burgers never look like the pristine example displayed on the menu boards, instead resembling some sorrowful reject, where most of the lettuce is in the box rather than the burger, the burgers themselves are half in, half out the bun, and most of the other fillings are dumped all on top of each other, on one side, rather then evenly spread out. I mean, it's not that hard is it? Just take a fraction more time, a lot more care and make something to be proud of, rather than churning stuff out as quick as humanly possible.

We ordered at 6:45pm my order arrived at 7:52pm, it came cold and i ordered a plain double cheeseburger, i received a none plane normal cheeseburger with extra mustard. Not happy.

I walked into McDonald’s and I got my food my food was a bit chewy and it wasn’t that nice shortly after I saw a young boy come into the restaurant he was ordering on the electric sever things and he was stopped by a female worker and said that you have to leave the manager said you are not allowed in the store this young boy was a gypsy/traveler and did nothing wrong the female worker then proceeded to say it’s not racism to the young boy but I remember when my granny was a child that black people had to use different toilets than the white people and where not allowed in show so as a bystander I was very not angry but just so sad that the little boy couldn’t get a quick meal

They never remember dips and its usually cold. The most recent order was genuinely the most rancid food I've ever had, majority of it ended up in the bin, utter waste of money...

A picture paints a thousand words! Is there a shortage on potatoes? Fries? If so, I shouldn’t have to pay full price for less than half a box of large fries. Absolute Rip off!

Absolutely pathetic service. The branch had no receipts to top up thier self service stand. Teenagers screaming and making an absolute noise while clients awaiting at the collection desk. While the security is stationed at the door on his cellphone and the supervisor or manager is intermediated to ask the kids to keep thier voices down because collection station clients can’t be heard. To top it off I received a large chunk of green lettuce salad with two slices of cucumber and 1 tomatoes. The gentleman agreed it’s the salad they serve daily… Absolute worst experience for first time visit. Ask the supervisor/ manager for picture I gave it back to him immediately

Awful. Self service machines don't print off receipts. Floor is a disgusting mess and the tables are never cleaned. Not a very nice restaurant.

First of all, This place is the only McDonalds i have been to that didn’t mess up the order, although, i waited 25 minutes. i ordered 2 large galaxy lattes, it didn’t taste of galaxy at all. It came half full as if i has ordered a medium/small. This coffee was horrible, it was too strong and an awful coffee in general.

Have been to many McDonald's but this is the first to NOT play utterly ghastly loud pop music that is unwelcome and intrusive. The music in this branch was pleasant, calming and enhanced the environment. Well done Carlisle McDonald's - excellent!!

Decent food for a Maccies restaurant, had to wait a while but it was a busy time so understandable and a nice atmosphere with classical music. As a classical music enjoyer it was nice to hear a bit of Mozart with my Big Mac.

I’ve never experienced anything like what i had at this McDonalds. We ordered a hash brown and some ketchup. Oddly when I collected the order i was given exactly 27 ketchup’s as oppose to 2. This was highly embarrassing. And to top it all off the hash brown was unwarningly boiling hot. My tongue is still recovering from the heat it received (my taste is coming back). Obviously the staff member was a Tottenham fan and as soon as he seen my arsenal shirt it was his instinct. Unfortunately for him he didn’t see my ridiculously large bicep. Mcdonalds has steadily gone down hill over the years, I'm can't say what's happened but it's just not the standard or value it used to be. Ordered today via just eat, and yes it was cold but that's part and parcel of ordering via just eat and you have to ust suck that up and reheat in the microwave when it arrives. But today's food was definitely the last for us from mcdonalds as I just can't justify the price of the food when the standard is so low and portion size for the money. Despite ordering all large meals as that's the only way to get a reasonable portion of fries (if your lucky) one came as small fries and when I say small I mean small.. I think 29 fries!!!! You used to get more in a Happy Meal!!....you all know the drill by now, you get the carton with a few fries that looks nothing like advertised, the fries are soggy and barely half fill the carton, all limp and resting at the bottom of the carton just looking depressed and unappealing. Well this order was nothing different, except the fries were not even cooked this time, they were white, cold, soggy and literally just cooked enough to not be raw. Disgusting, disappointing over priced bin fodder. I just cant understand why they are so busy all the time? It's not even value for money anymore.

What more/less can you say. A queue of delivery drivers, a disinterested staff and ok food.

The staff are alert and speedy. The food was tiny portions, even the drink I got was tiny. Atmosphere was ok but not worth 5 stars.

Often visit here when im in Carlisle for breakfast. The food is usually great but they very often miss things out of your order. Also I can never seem to get a warm coffee, its either lukewarm or cold. Overall your average McDonald’s. Staff are usually friendly.

I have visited this McDonald's on many occasions for a quick bite to eat while passing through Carlisle on the way to Scotland. It is always extremely busy with staff like zombies, but the restaurant itself is generally clean and the toilets likewise. The food needs improvement. Our fizzy drink was flat, and our burgers looked like they were thrown together haphazardly and required more sauce.

Never ever get an order correct! £7.50 on halloumi fries that your meant to get 3 dips with, arrive freezing cold no dips! Charge for all dips yet never send them!

They gave me no knife or forks or plates staff was very rude security guard was a useless sweaty oger please take my advice and go to KFC

My mum and I were here on Saturday 1st April. The front counter staff were standing about, my mum ordered 2 medium big mac meals. They were taking a while and my mum asked for a refund and the member of staff just walked away. My mum used the disabled toilet, she said she had to plodge as the floor was wet, smelt of sewrage and urine.

Has improved greatly. Tables cleaned immediately (usually) toilets always clean. Has a large number of students at dinner time. But quiter after 1pm weekdays. Service is fast considering the large volume of customers.

If you want bland cold dry food, this is the place.

Cant give 0 stars, every time we order a delivery there is items missing and can't get in touch with McDonald's to sort it. Causes lots of hassle on the app trying to get sorted, WILL NOT BE ORDERING DELIVERY EVER AGAIN, Absolutely disgusting

Visited McDonald’s in Carlisle tonight and it wasn’t great….The security guard was more interested in standing in front of the door and creepily chatting up young girls. I asked him if he could move so the doors would shut and I was told “I can stand wherever I want” I will never revisit McDonald’s in Carlisle again whilst they employ such an intellectual giant.. rude and full of self importance, what an embarrassment

It's dirty, everything is stained, I and my 18-month-old son waited 20 minutes at the Happy Meal, although the manager said that 5 minutes is necessary! This is the worst establishment we've ever been to! The manager is very unpleasant

Loads of staff on, no one serving, manager stops talking and shouts for someone to go on a till. Everyone ignores him. Machines are only for takeaway, never been to a McDonald's like it. No signs around till area so just hoverred around a cabinet until someone begrudgingly served us. McDonald's are usually good. This was a bad experience

I never bother to leave reviews for anything. It's only on very rare occasions that I'll go to the effort of doing so. However, I feel so strongly about this I felt I had to. I reluctantly called into McDonald's Carlisle today, I don't tend to visit these places in general but my daughter was hungry and it was convenient at the time. From the moment I walked in I was apauled at the unsanitary, grimy conditions. The screens on the ordering computers were filthy, I was reluctant to touch them at all. The floors were covered in spilt drinks and food that had been squashed in and not bothered to be cleaned. On the way up the stairs there was spilt ketchup stains up and down the walls that had clearly been there for some time and the hand rails were utterly revolting with god knows what smeared and stuck to them all the way up and down the rails. Realising the general filth all around me I went in search for a hand sanitiser, every single one I located was empty so I had to take my young daughter to the bathroom to wash her hands. The bathrooms were stinking, the sinks were full of dirty water that couldn't drain because the plug holes were blocked with toilet roll. The areas around the sinks were flooded with filthy water and just generally disgusting. Upon finally making it to the table I found it again to be dirty, it hadn't been wiped down not to mention cleaned. The seats had food and spilt sauce and drinks on them and the floor under the tables was littered with the same again and rubbish from previous customers. I find it utterly unacceptable that any business finds that this is any way to operate. With Covid cases on the rise again the very least they can do is maintain basic cleanliness. Utterly disgraceful!!

Ordered a number of items but got only a few of them. A 3.6 pound worth item is missing. The second time happened the same.

McDonald's at Kingstown Park is horrible, twice now I have visited over a few months and the food was cold. Burgers are cold, very unappetising. Will not be visiting again

Ordered three drinks and two meals. Drinks came fine, but how do you get a fillet o' fish and a cheeseburger from a chicken legend with hot mayo? I understand it was busy but that's unacceptable. Also one set of chips instead of two? Only realised once I was at the train station as well.

Queue management isn't good when it is busy. Other than that, everything was good.

Staff are always nice food is nice and cheap sometimes a bit of a struggle to find a seat to sit down and ear but it’s the same with every fast food chain so it’s an expectation really never really shocks me

The staff are amazing. I had passed out and fell backwards down some stairs in the shop, the staff dealt with it amazingly and I genuinely can’t thank them enough for their kindness when I was so alone and scared. Also strawberry lemonades 10/10

I cannot believe how unclean and messy this play way. Stopped with my mum and sister for a cup of tea as we were visiting Carlisle for the day as we are on holiday. We thought McDonald's would be a good place to have a quick cuppa and a sit down. We were wrong. Tea itself was ok, after we had to ask twice for some milk and was just met with strange faces. Found a table but it hadn't been wiped and couldn't find anybody to wipe it down. Wiped it ourselves and sat down. I have to say that during the 25 minutes we sat there, the floor under and around our table remained unswept. There was a spillage on the floor that stayed there... Staff even walked over it! And I'm so surprised no one slept. Used the disabled toilet downstairs and it was one of the worst experiences. It hadn't been closed for at least many days as it had urine smell and stains, pubic hairs and general dirt around the toilet seat. There was no toilet paper in there or soap in the dispenser so hadn't been checked recently either. Really not good especially as you consider Covid hasn't gone away. Shame as I don't think people will avoid this establishment for a quick easy stop. And all the time people are still visiting it won't improve as I will accept what it has to offer. Shame on you McDonald's Carlisle when you have have a lot of families / babies coming in and out of a dirty establishment. Go elsewhere if you can if you have young children, or even if it's just yourself.

Fairly fast service, very busy during the day so better to get take out. You can't eat in after 7pm.

Totally disorganised with long waits for take out and eat in. Screens don't work to show when orders are ready and no receipts in machines, so don't forget to remember your order number.

Made a decision between a walk to Mcdonalds, or order in a kebab... Wish we'd gotten the kebab. To start with, we received no drinks holder to carry the two drinks and two bags of food. Guess they expected me to sit in? After walking back with our order we realised the had missed a double cheese burger. The chicken nuggets were cold, and a bit soggy. To top it all off, they forgot the gherkins on the single cheese burger my partner got. Bit disappointing really.

The last time I went through the drive-through I got home to find I had no burger but couldn’t be bothered to go back, besides mistakes happen. Today the kids were joking they bet I didn’t get any tea. Got home to find a burger in the box with no bun and we were one fries short. Went back and they gave me new burger and not very genuine apology. By the time I got home again my chips (they were in original bag) and now melted drink were not that appetising!

Service was slow. Restaurant was a tip, rubbish everywhere with overflowing bins. Only a couple tables available. Wouldn’t return to this McDonalds!

Don't ever go here after 5pm unless you want to be intimidated by large groups of chavs being verbally abusive and throwing food everywhere... Not a nice environment to eat in at all!

Placed an order for £21.76 large fries 6x dips milkshake and tremble cheese burger missing when ringing customer service for help or refund we literally got pat to 4 different people to basically be told not there problem and get on with it absolutely shocking customer service

Chips pulled early, burger slipped together and not given the little microwave blast that makes the cheese melt. A common fast food issue for decades, motivate your staff more.

Took my son for a treat today as clothes shopping, what was meant to be a treat turned into a nightmare. I ordered my son's big Mac with no pickle or big Mac sauce but when we sat down there it was everything I didn't ask for 🙄. So on my way down the stairs I went straight to the front and said the order wasn't right, there reply was ooohh I was looking for you but couldn't find you here's your order, I went back upstairs and sat down to check my son's order to find when I lifted the lid on the bun to find someone had taken a bite out of the burger on top, once again I headed down the stairs to have to shout to get there attention. They apologized and said they would replace it which they did but by that time my meal was cold. I wouldn't set foot in that place again staff diabolical so slow plus well I won't go there.

Arrived at store with plenty of time to be served before catching a train. Placed my order via their self service machine. Charged my card. Didn't give me a number. Didn't give a receipt. Others who came in after me got served before me. In the end I had to leave the store in haste to avoid missing my train. Without my paid for breakfast.

Absolutely dreadful. To start with the self serve order points are squashed together at the entrance, they should be turned by 90 degrees to allow far easier access, especially in these times of covid. Meal was junk, six nugget meal came as five, drinks were flat, chips soggy and undercooked and burger was overcooked, chewy and cold!! Bad stomach pains and nausea followed... Cheers McDonald's. Surprisingly, won't be back.

Even for McDonald's this was a bad experience. My son only got 5 nuggets instead of 6, no milkshakes or McFlurrys available. Flat coke and Sprite. Cold burger and soggy chips which have made my partner unwell, veggie wrap that was half empty, dirty table and floors. The whole thing was grim and the food was dreadful. Staff were miserable, unhelpful or AWOL.

Probably the worst McDonalds in the North West. Wait times about half an hour when they’re busy and doesn’t help that half the staff look like they haven’t a clue what’s going on. To top it off management just look stressed and miserable, the poor staff don’t stand a chance. If you want a mcdonald’s, you’re better off going to one of the other two stores in Carlisle. Would be surprised if this one doesn’t get ran into the ground soon enough… what more can i say?

This Mcdonalds is the one that services just eat and I have to say the attention to detail is appalling, we have not had 1 order go through where an item or whole meals weren't missing! Don't bother ringing them as they think it's just eats problem and not the McDonalds reputation. Our order this morning was missing a whole meal and an extra but having read the reviews I am not surprised. The team at this Mcdonalds seems to be on a mission to put just eat out of business in refunds alone. 0/10

Very busy when are they not! Possibly need to consider a separate waiting area for deliveroo etc riders. Disappointingly my big mac was luke warm but nuggets and chicken select very hot.

Absolutely disgusting service the team leader couldn't run a shift to save his life. The staff are all too young all they were interested in was standing laughing and joking with each other while packing uber eats which is priority apparently not the actual customers in the shop. Stood and waited for 20 minutes while 4 of them moved at a snails pace. The food was cold and disgusting. My blood is actually boiling

Hit and miss with this place.... more miss than hit! Uneven portioned fries and drinks, it's clear the staff are rather lazy or not trained properly! The woman on the door is exceptionally rude and wants sacking, basically! The manager wants to do a round up of all staff and do some training! Completely unacceptable food and disgusting attitude from staff! Only the managers seem to be caring about the restaurant, maybe they should be doing some more indepth training to the rest of the staff!

On Google Maps it says this is a drive thru, but this is NOT A DRIVE THRU
