I had a table booked for 7pm however when we got there they told us our table wasn’t ready and they offered us a cocktail bar discount however, this was not used due to us driving. They told us they would ring us when the table was ready however it got to 7.30pm and we still hadn't had a phone call so we went in only to find the table was ready and they just had not rang us. Then after ordering food we had to wait about an hour for the food and the drinks got ‘forgot’ about. Food was really nice though. Then when we asked for the bill we got given the wrong bill.

Small friendly local tucked away in Woolton village. Decent selection of cask ales served in tip top condition. Very friendly staff in this community local

An extremely lovely evening. We were a party of 6, services was very good, swift and pleasant. The food was very good too, I chose the Pate to start and the Lobster Ravioli as the main, which were both outstanding. Lights in the restaurant went out a couple of times and the waitress's personality really made it more of a fun event rather than an issue, which is a rare skill! The Chef introduced himself to all the tables which was a nice touch, I can imagine this isn't possible on busy nights. We all agreed that the food and service was very good, with massive Italian charm.

We had the afternoon tea in celebration of my late mother 90 th birthday, she loved going to the houghwood with my late father. As per usual excellent food and service.

You need to try the goats cheese croquettes!! Amazing, very tasty!!! All the food was amazing!!

Ordered 3 steaks all had a funny smell and aftertaste didn't eat them spoke to staff still paid thd bill as no offer to reduce the price dissapointed as not been since new owners and will not return sorry
