Delicious food, excellent service, and a good choice from a nicely varied menu. Also a great choice from no less than 7 hand pump ales.

Excellent as usual. But getting a tad expensive, like most other establishment's.

Beautiful little place to stay. Only 4 rooms compact but lovely food and atmosphere.

Have eaten here a few times maybe 10+ times, possibly 7 out of 10 have been good but the last time we visited wasn’t great at all. Service was very slow, after being seated had to wait over 15 mins just for a drink! Our Starters came out fairly quick but again our main meal took quite a bit longer than expected, and when it did arrive (Sunday Roast) was dry bland and felt like it had either been warmed in a microwave or sat waiting under heat lamp for a long period. It just seems like every other time the service is hit or miss, but when it’s miss and the food isn’t great means we won’t be in a rush to go back.

A lovely venue with amazing food and great service. A great choice of gluten free meals as well including some lovely desserts.

Lovely building, very cosy and traditional pub like when you first go in, kind of dark but in a nice way. We would have liked to sit outside but was afraid it might start raining, so the server sat us in the garden room or conservatory. What a beautiful room! Better than being outside. The food was amazing, my fillet was tender and full of flavor, although the pepper sauce was a little too overpowering. I ate the steak with no sauce and it was delicious. The others all enjoyed their meals. The servers were excellent, extremely friendly, efficient and seemed to have a sixth sense as to when we needed anything. We went with a 1year old, and they were all over her.

Great food and atmosphere. The staff are lovely and very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The braised beef was delicious. I would definitely recommend and will be returning very soon.

We had a wonderful meal to celebrate our daughter's 18th Birthday. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, the food was delicious and plentiful, and the atmosphere was perfect. The gluten-free menu options are extensive, which gets extra praise from a family with 2 coeliacs. Great value, we will definitely be returning!

We stayed at Haighton Manor last night as we were in Preston for Radio 2 in the park. The moment we arrived the exterior of the building looked amazing. When we got inside we were greeted by the manager who was extremely friendly & welcoming. The room we stayed in was tastefully decorated, with a warm & welcoming atmosphere. This place is amazing & I recommend anyone to visit here if they are out this way. Thank you to the staff for making our trip fantastic

Stayed for one night on our drive from Scotland to Cotswolds. Staff were brilliant Food and drink selection brilliant Breakfast amazing Couldn’t recommend highly enough Thanks to the lad who took our bags and the gent who served us breakfast - good luck with Oasis tickets!!

Had a lovely meal here last night, all the dishes were so tasty (especially the raspberry ripple arctic roll!) Katie was really friendly and lovely to us as well. Definitely recommend - we will be back soon!

Absolutely gorgeous food. Was the first time I came but definitely won't be my last.

Very slow service at the bar, just one bar person for 10 mins. Then another bar person turned up. We only called for a drink and on payment thought, wow - very expensive. £16.00 for a 0% can of Guinness and a lge Chardonnay - rip off. My partner commented that her Chardonnay was nothing special, no better than a lge Chardonnay in Wetherspoons for much less cost. Will not be visiting here very often.

First visit and we thought the choice of food was great, especially being pescatarian/ vegetarian. I also liked the way the vegan and gluten free options were labelled. The food was very tasty and well presented. Staff were very polite. A bit of a distance for us but hopefully will be back again !

Lovely meal at Haighton Manor - they catered well for gluten free diet, (we had one member of the table of four gf) with good food choices albeit slightly limited menu overall to choose from. Most meals were large, the aubergine curry though wasn’t too big at all. Good service and very happy overall.

Friendly helpful staff and delicious food

Had a lovely meal here a few weeks back, steak was perfectly cooked and chips were delectable. Prices are painful but honestly worth it with the quality of food and service. Special thanks to Fran - she looked after our table with an inspiring level of attentiveness. Charming, funny, on it. Thankyou Haighton manor (Fran) for such a special dining experience!

Outstanding food, outstanding service, the secret wines are brilliant. Highly recommended. Menu has changed a little, feels a bit more upmarket and the pricing certainly reflects it. First visit in a few years and sadly think it's gone backwards a little. Wasn't bad, but not as good as I remember

Had the mix beef and pork roast dinner. Had to send it back as beef wasn't pink as stated on the menu. Virtually no gravy at all. Roast potatoes tough and dry. Veg was only half a carrot and a bit spring cabbage. For £24 you only get one slice of beef and two slices of pork. We ordered three of these roast dinners, but they did knock one dinner off the bill. Which was fair. It's a lovely place to eat, if they could just raise their game with the food as they are charging a lot especially for the Sunday roast.

Exactly what it claims to be, a good country pub and restaurant with rooms. Sunday lunch was well presented and all our diners were more than satisfied with their choices. The only reason I have not marked them higher is that Sunday lunch is not the best test of a restaurant's culinary skills. Their organisational and front of house skills coped well with a busy hot day.

Attended a private function here following a funeral. Easy to find location and plenty of parking. The atmosphere generally seemed good and there was a lot of interesting pieces displayed on the walls. The food was well presented in an airy room we were shown to. However, clearer labelling by the buffet food would have been appreciated for those with allergies and so guests could accurately choose their preferences. Service - I decided given the circumstances of our gathering and so as not to cause upset not to complain at the time but it was far from appropriate. Towards the end of our gathering one member of staff abruptly and rudely interrupted the guests to enquire whether they had eaten enough as 'that was it' she was clearly away. That approach and the exact wording used wouldn't have been acceptable in any circumstances and certainly not in ours. I left very disappointed and hope guests are not routinely treated in this manner.

No the cheapest around but food and service was excellent

We had a small wedding celebration in a private room . The room was decorated beautifully . From the moment we stepped into Haighton manor we were treated like royalty. The food and accommodation were excellent and the service was exemplary. We will definitely be visiting again . Thank you to all the wonderful management and staff . You made our daughter and son-in-laws celebration special . Cannot thank you enough . 😀 ❤️

Have eaten here several times and it has always been excellent. Unfortunately we both chose the halibut which was so bland I struggled to believe that it actually was halibut! The meat is normally quite firm but this was a tasteless , steamed to death example.

Lovely relaxed country house for dining, whether Sunday lunches or any other time. Every time we’ve been, we’ve enjoyed it. 😁👍

Eaten here twice recently . Good food and service. Nice ambience. Busy so you need to book. Boeuf Bourguignon suet pudding is a revelation.

Lovely atmosphere, has both indoor and out dining areas, excellent food and beautiful presented. Dog friendly, plenty parking onsite. Only lost a star due slow service.

Oo, yummy steak sandwich from the light bites section. Unfortunately my steak was a bit over cooked which was sad (they said it comes pink, and to be fair most of the ones on our table did come pink). Came with a small rocket side salad which I enjoyed. Chips were delicious. Also tried some of my partner’s hake and that was lovely too. Service was very friendly! Didn’t have a chance to try any puddings. Would come back and hope for a pinker steak sandwich.

Amazing food loads of gluten free choices

This place never disappoints. Beautiful dining rooms, bar and garden along with a varied menu to suit every palate and appetite. The service is efficient and the staff are smiley and welcoming. Great all round dining.

Went here last night. Was seeing what the staff service was like and the place was like for a venue fir our son's wedding. Whist the initial welcome was lovely and the taking of the order was no problem. After the meal and only whilst paying I was ask how things were. So I said do you want my honest opinion. The fried fish was over fried and the amount of fish within was minimal The cheese and potato pie pastry was stodgy and it would have been a good option to have cheese sauce and baked beans. I was told that I could gave gad that but it's not an option on the menu I got a sorry about that reply. Nothing more in terms of an explanation or anything in way of recompence. I felt I was not treated with any inclusion and indeed felt excluded and though I should not really be there. Our family has recently had a wake there and we did spend a considerable amount. So you treat everyone the same.

Lovely dining experience, good range of local ale

We had a fabulous meal and the staff were very good, and attentive it was all very nice, and a very nice place to be in. We has the sirloin steak which was cooked to perfection, if you like a good plate full of food, I would recommend it, you could never complain of not having eaten enough ever!

Excellent Absolutely beautiful setting so relaxing and calming. Staff are absolutely wonderful,helpful, kind,knowledgeable, and absolute treasures. Food was fabulous ,the steak was melt in the mouth,the braised before feather (don't remember exact name) was stupendous, the desserts sooooo yummy 😋....yes its a bit more expensive but so worth every penny . We will definitely be back .

Booked the family room, which was very comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was delicious. Service when we checked in (we were late but rang ahead and the gentleman waiting for us was friendly and accommodating), and throughout was perfect. Top marks. Will come back again

Lovely Sunday lunch and super dog friendly

The Breakfast with Easter Bunny was great: - breakfast - easter egg hunt - face painting - easter bunny photo and easter egg Great value and great fun. My only criticism is to give toddlers a plainer sausage. Delicious for adults but my toddler wasn't impressed.

Lovely building, but unfortunately the food left a lot to be desired. We were a group of 10 on a work's leaving do. Having never visited before I, and a few others were excited to try and new place out. We were seated on time, and comfortably. We perused the menu and we're quite excited to try what was on offer. The food was delivered in a timely fashion, but was on the whole mostly cold. For the price that was charged I and 8 others were very disappointed. We were in agreement that we wouldn't visit again. Very substandard good for the prices charged! The staff however were courteous, though more visits to the table asking about drinks would have been appreciated. Such a shame from expecting so much and a beautiful setting!

After a poor experience with the service a while ago we decided to give Haighton Manor another go, The service was disappointing again, it took a long time for our order to arrive and the waitress was very confrontational when there was a mix up over a starter, Also one of our party was non dairy and tge choice was limited to fish and chips or burger, Fortunately the food was excellent, Sadly we won't be rushing back.

My partner and visited last Sunday.. partner had the chicken burger I had cod and chips .. we had garlic bread and my partner had the knickerbocker glory I had the hot waffle.. everything was delicious and massive portions ... the restaurant is a beautiful place in such a gorgeous location and we will be visiting again very soon

Attended birthday party great service lovely food.

Been here a few times and food is always good with plenty of choice. The service is excellent with no sense of ever being ignored, but no pressure to finish and leave as in some places. In Winter it's kept really warm and Summer there is pleasant.

Excellent food, a bit pricey, but the quality justified the price. Good range of ales too. Service good, but a bit slow, although it was a busy evening. We'll be going back, but not if in a rush! Take your time and enjoy it.

Delicious high quality country pub food with a great cosy atmosphere. Definitely recommend. I had the steak burger and my wife ate the fish and chips. Both delicious! The starters are perfect too. Try the spicy beef bao bun, you won’t regret it!!

We stayed in one of the 4 bedrooms overnight and ate in the restaurant for dinner, and had breakfast too. Great place with great staff. Plenty of parking. Lovely room with a small living room and bedroom upstairs. Rural, peaceful area with farmland. Highly recommend a stay here.

Very polite staff, good service great food and most of all very welcoming for our four legged friends our dogs. Best place cosy and friendly. Would like to see some more vegetarian options in menu. But overall have always enjoyed everything.

Visited for first time Sat evening expecting a Saturday night dinner experience. Disappointed to say the least. Four of us went out for dinner. Nobody came to take us to table. We had to collar someone !Took a while for someone to take the order. Took a while for starters to arrive. Three starters sent back as they were only just warm! Waited for quite a while. New starters appeared. They were much warmer. Took ages for mains to arrive. Had to ask where they were. Nobody looked after us regarding more drinks. Mains arrived. My potato & veg wasn’t hot enough but didn’t send it back as too hungry to wait another half an hr! Ordered coffee but when girl brought it she wasn’t sure whether it was as decaf or not!! By this time we had given up as it was 10.00pm - our table was booked for 7.15!! No sweets suitable for diabetics apart from cheese so didn’t bother! Beautiful drive up to manor which looks splendid from outside. Dining areas not homely! Disappointed to say the least!!

We went to Haighton Manor with some friends on a Monday night. The place was surprisingly busy but I think that they had a special promotion on. The service was shocking, we had to wait at least 20 minutes before someone came to take our drinks order and then at least another 20 minutes before the drinks arrived.. The timescales on the food wasn’t much better. When the food arrived it was actually very good. In summary, shocking service , decent food.

One of the best Gastro-pubs I've visited. Large stately building with open fires scattered around the place. Warm, cosy atmosphere, great food, and dog friendly.

Great venue, superb food and service

Haighton Manor is a beautiful place with a great atmosphere. The service was good but very slow, although we were constantly asked about allergies which I did appreciate. Unfortunately the food was nowhere near the quality expected for the prices charged. We ordered squid and halloumi for a starter, the steak burger and the buttermilk chicken burger for a main and it was all very average. The alcohol prices are also well above expected for the area.

I visit a few times when I'm here for work and can't fault it. The venue is beautiful, very quaint. The service at the bar and table was on point. Food was great. All in all, make a visit! You won't be disappointed!
