New years eve 3 course meal which was amazing great atmosphere staff very friendly

You can never go wrong with Haighton Manor. The only disappointment was I didn't get to have their calamari, which is no longer on their menu, sad! But overall, it's the best place to go to!

Lovely relaxing place Steve, Alex and Ryan are a great team along with their amazing staff. Nothing is ever too much trouble and always happy. Highly recommend xx

Expensive but worth while. Broad ranging menu for most tastes. Good range of wine and spirit. Fair range of ale, but certainly well kept. Lovely Atmosphere. Great staff. Dog friendly, but also dog free areas.

A group of 12 of us prebooked a midweek lunch at Haighton Manor Table booked for 12.30. We didn't finish until 3.30! Incredibly slow service. Starters of beetroot salad were unacceptably small. The "duchess" potaoes were actually inedible. Hard and lukewarm whole potatoes. When we mentioned it to the waiting staff, they didn't seem bothered. This is supposed to be a high class restaurant. We shan't come again

We had our walking groups Christmas Party here. Excellent food and service. Catered for 40 people. Lovely helpful staff.

Visited here for the first time today for a birthday lunch. A beautiful place. Very busy too for a week day. We booked in advance and pleased that we had. On arrival, we were welcomed by friendly bar staff and shown straight to our table, offered a variety of menu's and drinks order was taken. Table service was efficient by tentative staff. We didn't wait long for our food to be served. Freshly made, cooked to perfection and extremely tasty, I could not fault my dish. Desserts were equally delicious and when ordering a smaller portion, this was accompanied with a hot drink of our choice. The pub itself has a very relaxing and warm atmosphere. The decor is traditional with open log fire burning in the center. Dogs are welcome and there is also accommodation for overnight stays. Outside is a large car parking facility with tended gardens and despite being in the open countryside, Haighton Manor is within a short driving distance to Preston city centre and motorway networks M6/M55. I would most certainly recommend this pub & although meals were perhaps a little on the pricey side, the food was worth every penny.

We had a private dining room for seven people so no comment on atmosphere, service was pretty slow as there were big groups in shortly before Christmas

We booked for our special Christmas meal out, although only two of us, were pensioners so it’s a big deal to us. We were told our booking was mixed up as a table for 4 so we couldn’t sit in the restaurant, we were put onto a corner table in the Bar instead. We waited 20 minutes for a table to be set up, we waited another 20 minutes before we managed to flag down a waitress to ask for a menu. Another 25 minutes before we had to flag the waitress down again to give her our order, then 45 minutes for our meal to arrive. We flagged another waiter to bring the desert menu, I asked him to STAY while we gave our order incase we had another long wait. £60.00 to be ignored all night and stuck in a corner of an empty bar while everyone else sat in the restaurant we HAD BOOKED. Their reason for slow service was there were two big tables of 30 in, fair enough, but it was OUR special night too. If you can’t look after the small bookings during the Christmas period, don’t take the booking. We live locally, we won’t go back. Very disappointed we wasted our special night out.

Went for thr breakfast with Santa - Everything was perfect!! The staff were fantastic, the food was delightful and the whole event was very well organised. It really couldn't of been better!!

Been several times and always enjoyable whatever time of year. First time I have stayed over, junior suite was excellent. Food on Xmas menu had a good choice and was delicious. Staff as always friendly and attentive, a great experience all round.

Excellent as usual. But getting a tad expensive, like most other establishment's.

Been to quite a lot of Brunning and Price pubs before. This was one of the poorer ones.

Lovely pub, nice location, very busy so wait for service was longer than we would have liked. Food was tasty and hot, kids pasta good. The food was not as good as other pubs in the same franchise. We enjoyed our visit but would probably return to others before this.

Average. A beautiful pub let down by mediocre food. Service slow. Waiting staff lovely and overall decor is really cosy. As a local, I’ve been coming here for years but saddened to see the food going down hill in quality despite steep prices.

What can we say, We’ve visited this afternoon after previously visiting around 18 months ago which we left slightly disappointed. Not This time ! We were seated promptly, given menus and drinks ordered. The staff were incredibly attentive, we ordered starters and mains. The Food was simply DIVINE. Starters were so tasty we could have had even more! The mains arrived with a nice break between, we all had Sunday beef roasts which were all beautifully plated and so delicious! Did we need dessert absolutely not did we order them YES we did! Thank you to all the staff you’ve won us back which will now probably be every weekend! The wine the ambiance and welcoming atmosphere was perfect for a family of 3. Can’t wait to return .

Can’t fault this place. We came here after a funeral on a Friday afternoon. Beautiful interior, lots of space, very tastefully furnished. The staff were beyond helpful, food and drink reasonably priced, and very good Excellent value considering how lovely the setting. We will 100% be back

This a fantastic traditional country house pub with a few rooms. The rooms are lovely and quirky in a great way. The food was great, the staff were all first class. We stopped here as a break on our journey from the south of England back to Scotland, next time we do this journey we plan to stay again. Thanks!

The welcome was warm & friendly as always. The food was delicious, I particularly recommend the Chicken Coq au vin pie, and I was grateful for the gin recommendations. The service was just right for us, it was lovely to not feel rushed but be able to relax & enjoy our meal, thank you, x

Lovely lunch in cozy old manor surroundings. Would recommend.

We were seated in the conservatory which is nice but nit as cosy as in the main area. Service was slow. Had the cheese onion & potato pie which was very disappointing. The pastry was thick & in places e.g. the edge & the base, hard & overbaked. Initially tasted very cheesy but the flavour peted out - presumably a higher ratio of potato in that section. Suspect extra cheese was added on the top of the slice before it was baked/warmed up. Informed the wsiter of the hard pastry who said 'he'd inform the chef'. No discount or replacement offered. Other members of my party had their mains served on cold plates. Ordered the mini dessert & hot drink: tea & chocolate brownie which was excellent.

Delicious food, excellent service, and a good choice from a nicely varied menu. Also a great choice from no less than 7 hand pump ales.

Have eaten here a few times maybe 10+ times, possibly 7 out of 10 have been good but the last time we visited wasn’t great at all. Service was very slow, after being seated had to wait over 15 mins just for a drink! Our Starters came out fairly quick but again our main meal took quite a bit longer than expected, and when it did arrive (Sunday Roast) was dry bland and felt like it had either been warmed in a microwave or sat waiting under heat lamp for a long period. It just seems like every other time the service is hit or miss, but when it’s miss and the food isn’t great means we won’t be in a rush to go back.

Lovely building, very cosy and traditional pub like when you first go in, kind of dark but in a nice way. We would have liked to sit outside but was afraid it might start raining, so the server sat us in the garden room or conservatory. What a beautiful room! Better than being outside. The food was amazing, my fillet was tender and full of flavor, although the pepper sauce was a little too overpowering. I ate the steak with no sauce and it was delicious. The others all enjoyed their meals. The servers were excellent, extremely friendly, efficient and seemed to have a sixth sense as to when we needed anything. We went with a 1year old, and they were all over her.

Great food and atmosphere. The staff are lovely and very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The braised beef was delicious. I would definitely recommend and will be returning very soon.

We had a wonderful meal to celebrate our daughter's 18th Birthday. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, the food was delicious and plentiful, and the atmosphere was perfect. The gluten-free menu options are extensive, which gets extra praise from a family with 2 coeliacs. Great value, we will definitely be returning!

We stayed at Haighton Manor last night as we were in Preston for Radio 2 in the park. The moment we arrived the exterior of the building looked amazing. When we got inside we were greeted by the manager who was extremely friendly & welcoming. The room we stayed in was tastefully decorated, with a warm & welcoming atmosphere. This place is amazing & I recommend anyone to visit here if they are out this way. Thank you to the staff for making our trip fantastic

Stayed for one night on our drive from Scotland to Cotswolds. Staff were brilliant Food and drink selection brilliant Breakfast amazing Couldn’t recommend highly enough Thanks to the lad who took our bags and the gent who served us breakfast - good luck with Oasis tickets!!

Had a lovely meal here last night, all the dishes were so tasty (especially the raspberry ripple arctic roll!) Katie was really friendly and lovely to us as well. Definitely recommend - we will be back soon!

El was very efficient, helpful and friendly.

Very slow service at the bar, just one bar person for 10 mins. Then another bar person turned up. We only called for a drink and on payment thought, wow - very expensive. £16.00 for a 0% can of Guinness and a lge Chardonnay - rip off. My partner commented that her Chardonnay was nothing special, no better than a lge Chardonnay in Wetherspoons for much less cost. Will not be visiting here very often.

First visit and we thought the choice of food was great, especially being pescatarian/ vegetarian. I also liked the way the vegan and gluten free options were labelled. The food was very tasty and well presented. Staff were very polite. A bit of a distance for us but hopefully will be back again !

Lovely meal at Haighton Manor - they catered well for gluten free diet, (we had one member of the table of four gf) with good food choices albeit slightly limited menu overall to choose from. Most meals were large, the aubergine curry though wasn’t too big at all. Good service and very happy overall.

Friendly helpful staff and delicious food

Had a lovely meal here a few weeks back, steak was perfectly cooked and chips were delectable. Prices are painful but honestly worth it with the quality of food and service. Special thanks to Fran - she looked after our table with an inspiring level of attentiveness. Charming, funny, on it. Thankyou Haighton manor (Fran) for such a special dining experience!

Outstanding food, outstanding service, the secret wines are brilliant. Highly recommended. Menu has changed a little, feels a bit more upmarket and the pricing certainly reflects it. First visit in a few years and sadly think it's gone backwards a little. Wasn't bad, but not as good as I remember

Exactly what it claims to be, a good country pub and restaurant with rooms. Sunday lunch was well presented and all our diners were more than satisfied with their choices. The only reason I have not marked them higher is that Sunday lunch is not the best test of a restaurant's culinary skills. Their organisational and front of house skills coped well with a busy hot day.

Had the mix beef and pork roast dinner. Had to send it back as beef wasn't pink as stated on the menu. Virtually no gravy at all. Roast potatoes tough and dry. Veg was only half a carrot and a bit spring cabbage. For £24 you only get one slice of beef and two slices of pork. We ordered three of these roast dinners, but they did knock one dinner off the bill. Which was fair. It's a lovely place to eat, if they could just raise their game with the food as they are charging a lot especially for the Sunday roast.

Food is excellent value. Food is also very good. Plenty of choice on the menu. Highly recommended

Attended a private function here following a funeral. Easy to find location and plenty of parking. The atmosphere generally seemed good and there was a lot of interesting pieces displayed on the walls. The food was well presented in an airy room we were shown to. However, clearer labelling by the buffet food would have been appreciated for those with allergies and so guests could accurately choose their preferences. Service - I decided given the circumstances of our gathering and so as not to cause upset not to complain at the time but it was far from appropriate. Towards the end of our gathering one member of staff abruptly and rudely interrupted the guests to enquire whether they had eaten enough as 'that was it' she was clearly away. That approach and the exact wording used wouldn't have been acceptable in any circumstances and certainly not in ours. I left very disappointed and hope guests are not routinely treated in this manner.

We had a small wedding celebration in a private room . The room was decorated beautifully . From the moment we stepped into Haighton manor we were treated like royalty. The food and accommodation were excellent and the service was exemplary. We will definitely be visiting again . Thank you to all the wonderful management and staff . You made our daughter and son-in-laws celebration special . Cannot thank you enough . 😀 ❤️

Have eaten here several times and it has always been excellent. Unfortunately we both chose the halibut which was so bland I struggled to believe that it actually was halibut! The meat is normally quite firm but this was a tasteless , steamed to death example.

Lovely relaxed country house for dining, whether Sunday lunches or any other time. Every time we’ve been, we’ve enjoyed it. 😁👍

Oo, yummy steak sandwich from the light bites section. Unfortunately my steak was a bit over cooked which was sad (they said it comes pink, and to be fair most of the ones on our table did come pink). Came with a small rocket side salad which I enjoyed. Chips were delicious. Also tried some of my partner’s hake and that was lovely too. Service was very friendly! Didn’t have a chance to try any puddings. Would come back and hope for a pinker steak sandwich.

This place never disappoints. Beautiful dining rooms, bar and garden along with a varied menu to suit every palate and appetite. The service is efficient and the staff are smiley and welcoming. Great all round dining.
