The Molly House in Manchester

We ate her last night and it was a joy from start to finish. The tapas were all delicious and presented beautifully by the Chef. We ordered 3 each, which was more than sufficient. We ordered wine by the glass and tried a couple of different ones. Each were excellent. The bar manager couldn't have been more helpful and attentive. He even arranged with the Chef for baked cheesecake to be set aside for us, which we returned to eat later. I would highly recommend The Molly House and we will definitely return when we next visit Manchester.

We were very impressed with this eatery. Easy to book online. Lovely and cosy atmosphere. Delicious and well presented tapas. Excellent service. 6 minutes walk from the Palace theatre. We will be back!

Great Tapas and enough of a selection to cover every want and whim without confusing the issue. Chef was cooking and preparing the food in a great little kitchen right next to the bar, al in full view. Service was friendly, chatty and very helpful right down to a small sample glass of a recommended wine when our first choice was out of stock. Excellent tasty food, reasonable bill and would I go again? actually this was 'again', as it was every bit as good on our first visit a few weeks back.

Quiet unprepossessing entrance leading to an understated interior with a nice bar & and open kitchen area. Small plates/tapas the order of the day, we ate 6 between us & they were all uniformly excellent, with a special mention to the wonderful calamari! Decent well-priced wine list all served by a really nice fella! Love this place!

Great beer selection and friendly staff

Absolutely amazing Tapas served here! The food was all cooked in the wee kitchen beside our table and was so fresh and tasty. Lovely quality of food ingredients and a great array of different dishes to try. The guys were all really nice, attentive and friendly. Highly recommend and hope to visit again some day.

Had a fabulous mother's day lunch at Molly's House - our host was warm and welcoming and the food exceptional, made with excellent ingredients and cooked with love and care. I'd highly recommend.

Really friendly atmosphere, quieter upstairs so I could do an online meeting with no issues. Nice range of ales and pleasant staff. The venue has a nice vibe.

I arrived there by pure chance this afternoon. Lovely barman introduced the menu to me and I ordered 3 tapas, which were enough to satiate but left me wanting more as they were so delicious (especially the cabbage!). I’m coming back to Manchester just for the tapas. And the lovely barman. And the Krombacher Unfiltered, which was just the icing on the cake. :) 5 stars all the way.

Love this place tucked away! The staff are lovely and looked after our large group so well in the upstairs bar which stocks a wide range of great gins amongst other spirits. I’ve no idea how such a tiny kitchen can produce such tasty tapas but they do! I forgot to take food pics like I normally do - the sign of a great time! I almost didn’t want to review it so I can keep it a secret - but the cat’s out of the bag - it’s a gem!

Absolutely love The Molly House. Will never get tired of visiting, or recommending. Excellent food, full bar, fantastic selection of wines. Cozy and relaxed atmosphere. But most of all the Excellent friendly staff, who went above and beyond today to make a visit extra special.

Always wonderful to go for a drink, finally tried the tapas tonight and it's a wonderful condensed menu of different small plates! All presented lovingly and with attention to detail as well as delicious. Dog friendly which is wonderful so we could bring our family dog. Thanks to Dominic who was very welcoming and friendly throughout our dinner. :)

Good Manchester pub about 10 minutes walk from Piccadilly Station. Five cask beers on handpump when I last visited including a stout. There are two bars, one on the ground floor and another up the stairs on the first floor.

Excellent food and service at this wonderful Tapas Bar. A friendly welcome and good advice about the food and drinks. Great tasting Tapas with a wide variety of flavours. Would go again tonight if we were still in Manchester. After several days of eating mediocre meals in various places it was a delight to find The Molly House. Just what we needed

Quiet and friendly. The bar staff were knowledgeable about the drinks they had both on tap and bottled. furniture was comfortable and the space quiet enough that you could have a conversation

Today I stepped off the street into this unassuming pub to be greeted by a warm welcome and served amazing tapas. Genuinely a gem in the village. I will definitely be returning. Thank you for a wonderful welcome and the tastiest tapas I have ever eaten ❤️🎉

I've not lived in Manchester long, but this is already my favourite pub. Everyone who works there is really nice, you feel welcome in a cosy & pleasant environment. Good local ales with good variety.

We were in town to watch the European Champions and wanted light food before the match. Arrived and were welcomed and seated, order for drinks taken at table and food shortly after. Not a thoroughly comprehensive Tapas menu but enough to keep us interested and have to decide what to missout on. Food was ordered and came in two or three separate lots which is fine with tapas. It was well presented and cooked and delicious. Nice surroundings to eat in, plain but not understated, friendly atmosphere, We ate downstairs but there is an upstairs too. If you do use the downstairs loo it is for all sexes just be careful to ensure door is bolted if you want complete prvacy, my wife didn't and was interupted during her visit, fortunately she was just washing her hands. All in all a very pleasant experince, staff were friendly and pleasant, we would definitely visit again.

We got a selection of tapas dishes and it was all SO delicious! My favourite was the feta/honey parcels and calimari! The host was really friendly and gave us great recommendations.

Four of us went to Mollys for the first time based on really decent reviews. We weren’t disappointed. Excellent vibe about the place and really engaging service. Food was as good as the service, prices affordable and a fun part of the City to visit. Would certainly recommend and return when we revisit Manchester

Lovely quaint bar and restaurant type of establishment that served small plates of tapas along side an extensive range of beers and spirits. The food had good veggie options: halloumi, mushroom croquettes, potatoes and a few other options; reasonably prices and delivered to the table very quickly. High quality and authentic. The only issue was ... I wasn't sure how it worked! I went it thinking it was a bar, but it had restaurant layout, Ithe music was like a soft techno for the afternoon which wasnt reallt fiting for the vibe. I wasn't too sure how to go about ordering food as it felt like someone might come to take my order but instead you order at the bar - the bar itself is very open but small, as well as a open kitchen so the space is not very private, there were lots of tables that were reserved so only had a few options to sit. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but when I came it was early Saturday afternoon so quite quiet so it felt a little bit strange. Obviously this is down to personal taste I think so I have given 4 stars as I did like it!

Only stopped by for drinks but they had a great range of beers and cocktails and the service was really good. The food heading out of the kitchen looked impressive!

Haven't had the tapas (yet!) but I really like The Molly House. At the heart of the Village, it's got a great selection of cask beer and spirits, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming.

Quiet little friendly bar tucked away down a side street off Sackville Street. A good selection of drinks and tapas food. Wooden tables with table lamps. Would recommend for a quiet drink.

The Molly has been part of my eating experience for years with my friends. We enjoy coming here and the Tapas is lovely. I recommend coming here for a quick bite before going on somewhere else although we have been known just to hang around having a lovely chat. It can get quite loud, but if you can find a space upstairs, a nook to hang out in then even during pride the Molly is a welcome rest bite from everything going on. The food for me has always been good although it is not standout tapas but is still good, there are better places to go but it is still very good and priced well. The staff our lovely and I would recommend coming here to chill out after a long day.

Second time I have been to catch up with friends. Fab food, knowledgeable advice on wine and so relaxed .

Really a place for couples or groups. It has an 'insular' yet pleasant atmosphere but, to be honest, I only frequent Molly House when arranging to meet friends to go on to another venue. This is NOT intended as a bad reflection on the staff, they're great, but the location is totally off the beaten track. I MUST say that, if one DOES find it, The Molly House is very pleasant. Far preferable to the terrible gin bar next to the obsolete taxi company opposite.

Excellent tapas! We are longtime fans of Spanish tapas, and this menu offers some nice twists on the traditional fare. Don't pass up the first one on the menu, the Moroccan pistachio briouat ve, a delicious start to your meal. Good beer and wine list as well. If we were staying in the area more than two days, we would have returned to this cozy, friendly gastro-pub again and again.

Fab! Been I'm many times for drinks before and it's always a warm and chilled atmosphere. Last weekend the other half's family was in town and we wanted to take them somewhere nice and friendly in the village. We ordered at least one of each item on the menu and it was beautiful. The tapas was by far the best I'd had in a very long time and the the whole team was lovely. Big thanks to T(h)om for looking after us all. 😊

My favourite place in Manchester for craft beer in a cosy atmosphere. The bartender is really knowledgeable and friendly too, and gave me a quick education in all the local beers they have.

Not eaten here yet, but the staff are so friendly and their cocktails are excellent 👌! Amazing cocktails, great convo, safe and chill atmosphere!

I came across The Molly House as one of the best pubs according to CAMRA and the praise was more that deserved. It's a small tapas bar with a relaxed atmosphere and great jazz / lounge music parallel to Canal Street. Its dim lightning, wooden interior and cozy ambience makes it a small jewel in the colorful and chaotic vibe of Manchester gay area. It has less that 10 tables, an open kitchen and a good selection of beers on tap. Food was exquisite. I was fortunate to find a seat since I hadn't reserved in advance. Definitely check in out if you're in the area.

I visited on 17/05 with eight other friends to enjoy the Tapas selection- an outstanding experience, first-rate quality food and service. All of us were really looked-after and very happily full at the end of the night, an absolute must, and I strongly recommend you get booking! 👍🏻👏🏻

A very cozy and nice place. The lighting is so nice and the beer was fresh.

Asked for gin and tonic, it turns out they served the cheapest gin from Barcelona and it was rank. Sent it back and asked for different gin. Barman tried to double charge me and I walked out. So beware when you order your G and T. They charged me £7.70 for this cheap house gin and tried to charge me the Tanqueray gin at the same price. Total rip off from my view.

Came here for lunch with my Aunty yesterday. I had looked for a tapas bar, and read the reviews for The Molly House which were all good. We were not disappointed. Tapas was excellent, some of the best we have eaten. Service was also friendly and it felt relaxed with a good atmosphere. Will come here again for sure. Excellent place !

Been coming to this place for years. Great range of beers and spirits. Good if you like something more relaxed where you can take the dog.

Huge range of wines and spirits, the beer was kept well. Open kitchen so you can watch the chef work. The only thing stopping me giving it 5 stars is the £6.20 price tag for the beer. I appreciate it is central Manchester but that is excessive!

Had all the veggie tapas on the menu plus some smaller sides dishes to share. The food quality and taste was excellent. Great service and a good pint. Atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. We will be back next time we are in Manchester.

We popped in for a drink and some tapas. We just wanted a light meal so just got 4 dishes and a side to share between two of us, which was just right for what we wanted. All of the dishes we got were really good, particularly the mushroom croquettes were amazing. Nice vibe and friendly staff.

Wow, everything was so well done. Drinks + tapas… I felt bad that I was coming a bit late, but everything was still pretty amazing.. tasted incredible! Highly recommend

Shared lots of plates with friends who had travelled up from Lytham. Great food and all cooked in front of you by the chef. The ambience is brilliant. Our third time there.

Amazing Tapas, excellent and varied real ale (not just 5 IPAs or 5 stouts as some places go for) On my visit, there was a coffee oatmeal stout, a bitter, 2 pale ales and a dark mild on offer, plus plenty of other choices

Eclectic drinks, idiosyncratic company and cosy surroundings is how I would summarise the place. Subtle sophistication and the perfect place to set the rhythm before your night out begins.
