The environment is clean and hygienic, there are not many food choices, but the quality is very good👍🏻

The environment here is clean, but the flavor of the food differs from authentic Vietnamese cuisine. It's not very traditional. The Vietnamese restaurant next door is better. The Google rating seems a bit too high.

Banh Mi is delicious! Definitely reccomend

AMAZING FOOD! I ordered the vegetarian pho with tofu and veggie chicken (which was delicious) and the portion size was huge! This bowl is bigger than my head. Their menu prices have gone up slightly compared to another photo you might find in reviews but it is still great prices for great food and lovely service, staff went out of their way for me and made sure to say goodbye even when they were enjoying their own lunch! Would recommend, even the coffee was lovely :)

My friend took me out for an early birthday meal. Both ended up with severe food poisoning. it is now my birthday and i am bedbound. thanks a lot this is exactly what i wanted to be doing.

Feel bad writing this as the owners are friendly and working their butts off but the Bahn Mi was a massive disappointment. I ordered the classic and it was just full of mayo. The pickles weren’t strong enough to cut through that much mayo. The pork was colourless with no flavour. No chilli jam or sauce (tho saricha was offered), just a bland sandwich, it made me sad. :(

Was just ok this time. Used to love it here, and still the same authentic Vietnam feel to the place but food was so greasy we left most of it. Just glad there are more doing better

My absolutely favorite comfort food. I've been here probably more than 3 times this year !! Everything is made so fresh at such an affordable price. Grilled pork is the best, tastes like its cooked from a proper charcoal grill. Vietnamese iced coffee is also a must here, highly recommend.

We come here regularly for the crispy fried spring rolls, which my 6 year old also loves. I usually have a pork noodle dish. Very good value, could eat the rolls for days. Small place with more of a canteen vibe, and the toilet is in the basement and a bit meh with no baby changing facilities. But the staff are very friendly and the food always arrives very quickly. Overall good food and a cheap tasty eat. Free/cheap parking locally.

My go to vietnamese restaurant. My favourite is the bun bo hue, has a little kick to it and uses my favourite thick vermicelli noodles too. You should also get the fried spring rolls as the skin texture is totally different from your standard spring roll skin. If you want something more refreshing then order the summer rolls. It’s always busy during the weekend. Just a note with small kids, they only have one high chair but smaller pram fits fine near the table etc.

Excellent vietnamese food. It was very quick to be seated and served, so I highly recommend this place. We came for the Pho soup and it did not disappoint, so you should try. I also enjoyed the spring rolls and the dessert (Chè Ba Màu with three layers and coconut milk).

Finally, a pho with proper soup, leaves, lime, and chili. The pho was smooth, not sticky, the soup used proper spices instead of pure salt water I had in other pho nearby. Most importantly, the viet coffee! Nice, surely not the usual taste in UK. It is the taste in my memory back in Asia. Highly recommend.

An excellent place to eat in Manchester. I have visited Ca Phe Viet several times in the past few years and each and every time the food has been wonderful, the dining area has been clean and the staff have been friendly and welcoming. In my opinion they do by far the best bánh mì in Manchester, and their Cà phê sữa đá is one of the best. On top of this the is a Vietnamese shop next door so you can buy ingredients for your weekly shop after you've eaten.

Yep, it’s a 5* rating, the food is sensational. We both had the vegetarian/ vegan pho dishes, tofu summer rolls, jasmine tea, amazingly full and content. Restaurant is basic in design and decor, but who cares when the food is so good.

I took my friend's here after walking past for so many years (shame on me). The food, people, atmosphere was fab! Such big portions too! So make sure you go hungry! The crispy spring rolls are amazing! Just go try it!

Favorite Vietnamese place to eat in Manchester

Very authentic Vietnamese food and a perfect for a quick lunch (even though it took almost twenty minutes till our food was served). But it tasted really good, especially the broth of the Pho was really tasty. But also the original Ban Mi tasted just like it should like. Would come back anytime.

Really good food, waitress was friendly and vibe was authentic. A bit chaotic though as one order was wrong and one took forever. Overall, recommended.

Best Vietnamese food in Manchester! I have had quite a lot Vietnamese food around the world, this one deserves a spot in top five! Their bbq pork is SO GOOD with almost some charcoal flavour in that! This is today’s MVP in my opinion!!! Perfectly seasoned with just enough bbq taste. I tried their raw and cooked beef pho, honestly the best pho soup in Manchester! It has a more clean taste compare to other places, half way through you will get a bit used to the soup and you can add additional flavours and changes the taste of the soup completely with chilli, lime and mint! The cooked beef is more more flavourful and soft compared to the raw beef. I will order the cooked beef pho next time when i visit. Their deep fried spring roll is out of the world as well! Love the crunch to the spring roll and they have some bits of grounded pork in the spring roll, you do not see meat in spring roll everyday I will give you that! Drinks are just so so, maybe i will try soy milk next time!

Without a doubt, this is my favourite place to eat Vietnamese food. Such delicious food and the staff are always so kind. Me and my partner have tried a few Vietnamese restaurants in Manchester, but this one really is the best of the best. We always manage to get seated in a timely manner, even when they’re busy, and the prices are hard to beat!

This place is amazing from the staff being so attentive to the amazing fresh food!! The ramen soup broths are to die for defo coming here on a regular. Thanks to all the staff for making this a great dining experience 🫶🏽

We came here based on reviews. We were not disappointed. We ordered a beef pho, pork bun thit nurong and a stir fried noodle. The beef pho soup was the best that we’ve ever had. Flavoursome but not too salty. It comes accompanied with salad. Put the bean sprouts in asap if you like them not raw. The pork bun thit nurong was awesome too. Pork was crispy and soft at the same time. I love their fish sauce. The stir fried noodle was average and we may skip it next time. We tried both the Vietnamese coffees but we’re not experts in this field so both tasted similar. But the staff will tell you which one is better. The coffees are served with condensed milk. It’s not exactly my thing but when in Rome, do as the Romans do. Will definitely come again. Although I’ve been on a weekday before 1pm is really busy. Come after 1pm for a more enjoyable experience or when they open up.

Me other half and I go to vietemese restaurants everytime we are in a different city (as sadly Newcastle is lacking vietemese restaurants). We came here today and every single thing we ordered was absolutely amazing. The pho was so flavoursome and fresh. The crispy spring rolls were beautiful. Veggie options for my partner. A well - known Vietnamese restaurant in Nong Khai, “Ca phe Viet” has many delicious recipes such as Vietnamese noodles, Vietnamese Coffee etc.

It was a nice experience. Spring rolls were nice however may have been better if it had come with some salad on the side. Pho were lovely, the broth was nice, there was plenty however there was literally 1 piece of mint for 2 bowls of Pho. Service was quick but doesn't mean it's great. It was a small table for 2 with cutlery & condiment, we have just started having our starter and the waiter already brought 2 massive bowls of Pho out. You should either let us sit in a bigger table or keep an eye to see if we actually finish eating or not before serving and rushing us for the next dish. Overall not bad.

Sopa muy sabrosa y había suficiente carne. Sigue siendo el mejor pho que he tenido en Manchester. Cometí el error de olvidar no pedir mantequilla en el banh mi tan tristemente que superó todo el sándwich. Los rollitos de primavera eran algo que no había probado en el café antes, ya que se agregó después de la última vez que estuve allí. La textura del relleno es bastante blanda, por lo que no puedes distinguir las verduras y los ingredientes, pero la piel era agradable. En general, es sabrosa comida a un precio decente. La actitud del personal era terrible, sin modales totalmente ignorantes, se alejó mientras hablaba mal olor de la tienda como si la comida se hubiera apagado, el lugar estaba sucio y había montones de basura y cartón fuera del café, la mala higiene y la seguridad también de gente cayendo sobre la basura, afuera de la puerta.

Pequeño café / restaurante pequeño con un supermercado / tienda en el lateral. El personal es excelente y amable, el servicio y la comida muy sabrosa. Está bien, no es tan barato como Vietnam, pero su Tofu B nh m fue el mejor sandwich que he tenido. No puedo esperar para volver para otro para ser honesto. Es una sensación de sabor y sabor. La novia tenía el pollo Pho y dijo que necesitaba un poco más de especias, pero era muy abundante y saludable. Lugar agradable. Teníamos bahn mi, café y rollos de primavera y era muy razonable y muy delicioso. Este es un gran lugar para parar a almorzar. El personal es super amable y también hacen sentir bienvenido. También tienen una tienda que vende productos vietnamitas como papel de arroz y café así que pude comprar provisiones. Me encanta este lugar y sin duda volveré aquí para probar el pho.

El Pho aquí es super delicioso. Tal y como mis gustos no mummy (Medio vietnamita y creció en Vietnam). Fuimos con nuestra hija de 2 años y le encanta también. Pedí el pollo con extra de soja de Pho compartir con mi hija y mi marido pidió el especial de Pho. Tuve el helado de café con mi comida y el esposo de una de café. Los aperitivos eran excelentes para probar y con abundantes salsas y salsas.

No hay decoración de lujo en este pequeño café pero sirve comida agradable y simple vietnamita. Tenía una especial con la profunda bahn mi rollos fritos de primavera como entrante. Ambos eran alimentos muy agradable. Tienen que dar crédito a la limpieza de las mesas y sillas. Me he fijado los consejos de la salsa de chili dulce y botellas se limpian. Algunos lugares han secado la salsa de colmatación consejos.

Didn't expect the place to be so small but I guess it never stated it was a lavish restaurant. Was really hoping for a good find with street food cooked by traditional viets..... Bit disappointed when we saw the kitchen and broth was a bit salty. Felt like they added fish sauce to flavour it instead of using quality marrow. The Cà Phe sua was really good though, a real Viet roast!

I come here a lot. Usually for a take out bahn mi (the Classic with Pork Belly, Pork Roll, & Pork Pate) and sometimes for a bowl of pho. The Vietnamese coffee, and iced coffee is also very good.

Lo siento, pero esto no es auténtico, era muy emocionados de visitar este lugar, ya que me encanta-bahn mi. Básicamente es un normal y todo el mundo sabe baguette francesa que un auténtico-bahn está todo sobre el pan, como el relleno, no es difícil llegar. Pueden volver a probar otras cosas.

Wonderful little cafe that serves great food followed by a warm welcome. I ordered Pho Bo tai ( Vietnamese noodle soup with thinly sliced steak ) great portion size and really good value for money, fresh and tasty.Will defiantly be returning and making this my go too place for Pho.

Have been twice in two weeks now for banh mi baguette and iced coffee which they have as a meal deal for £5 which is such good value. I have recommended a few friends here too and they really enjoyed it too. The Banh Mi is really good, the baguette is soft but crispy, - it's not like some other places I've tried where the baguette is hard and chewy and scratches the roof of your mouth - I hate that!!! This baguette was perfect.The iced coffee is good, not too sweet and a good kick. We also had the Pho which was only £6 for a huge portion and lots of meat! Will be back with my boyfriend - he is jealous of the pics I've posted to him!

Went in for a Banh Mi for lunch, expected it to be fresh but both the chicken and the bread were microwaved right in front of me. Definitely put me off and couldn't eat more than a few bites. Didn't try anything else on the menu.

I've literally just stumbled across this delightful family run hidden gem of a cafe. The coffee & banh mi sandwich were both excellent! I'll definitely be revisiting them to sample their noodle soups .....

We went there for the lunch combo of Vietnamese coffee + bahn mi, and it was super delicious! I had a tofu bahn mi, my boyfriend had the classic pork pate one with a big glass of iced coffee with condensed milk. Both of us enjoyed our bahn mi immensely, it tasted just like in Vietnam. The lunch deal of coffee + bahn mi for a fiver is also very good. The cafe is located in the same room with a Vietnamese supermarket, which stocks Trung Nguyen coffee and phin filters, for example, so you can make more at home! The Pho soups other diners were having also looked nice, but there were no vegetarian options on the menu. I'd love it if you'd add a veggie noodle soup on the menu too at some point! Anyway, this is definitely the place to go in Manchester for some bahn mi and Vietnamese coffee, and also for getting the equipment to make some at home.

I had the nicest coffee and baguette ever, served by the loviest staff. This little coffee shop is attached to the Vietnamese whole sale store opposite the giant Wing Yip Chinese supermarket. Try it out for that authetic Viet experience.

Lovely small café run by lovely people.This is one of my favourite places to have lunch in Manchester. The baguettes are very nice and tasty, and they have a lunch offer for £5 with a drink. They also started serving Pho not long ago, which is one of my favourite soups, for just around £6. The coffee with condensed milk is very good too.The place is small and it has a shop with lots of Vietnamese products which keep us entertained while we wait for the food, although we don't have to wait long!People always receive us with a smile and make you feel welcome.People are lovely, food is lovely, everything is!

Best banh mi in Manchester. Service was very friendly. The place has good parking spaces in front of the store for 2 hours, more than enough time to try their classic Vietnamese banh mi and a drink all for a good price.

Had the pork bahn mi with pate here, and it's the best one in Manchester. Off the beaten path, and part of a grocery store. There only serve sandwiches and drinks. I also had the drip coffee which is not for the faint of heart, as it is super strong. The sandwich was warm, full of fresh filling. A super clean, and friendly eenvironment. If you are into hidden ethnic gems, this is the place.

Visited here last year, the food was good and the service was good, plus the toilets were very clean. The staff were all very nice to us when we came in and left too which is a good thing.

As much of a Trip Advisor cliche as it is to declare somewhere a hidden gem, Ca Phe Viet is exactly that. In that it took me desperately googling 'Where can I get a Banh Mi in Manchester?' to find it. And I'm so glad I did, as the sandwich itself doesn't disappoint - it is fresh and delicious and ridiculously reasonably priced. The iced coffee is strong and sweet and a warm soy milk drink was an unusual and comforting treat. But better than any of these things are the staff - easily the friendliest and warmest reception I've had over a sandwich in a big city, genuinely lovely people. I came away with a bottle of hot sauce from the on-site supermarket and a desire to tell everyone I know to go and get a Banh Mi immediately.

I'm lucky enough to work close enough to here that I can pop in for lunch when I fancy something special. Luckily for me, a classic bahn mi and coffee is excellent value so I can pop in quite regularly. I've also had bahn mi from the Viet Shack in the Arndale but CaPheViet's wipes the floor with them in terms of flavour and filling.I hope they start to offer other dishes as I'm sure they will be as amazing as their sandwiches.I also like that I can pick up ingredients for when I try making my own pho.

Visited Ca Phe Viet for the first time yesterday, and will definitely be back. I am a recent discoverer of Vietnamese food and got to try banh mi for the first time (pork with pate); it was delicious, warm and full of flavour. Accompanied with Vietnamese coffee, drip-style, it certainly made me feel better about facing the Manchester rain and shopping crowds! Thank you for the new experience (and introduction to condensed milk in coffee...)!

Visited Ca Phe Viet twice and I really like the coffee and banh mi – Vietnamese baguette. I had iced coffee one time and the other time had the drip style coffee. The banh mi are really nice – variations of pork and pate with veg on fresh and warm crunchy baguette. On my second visit, I had a protracted conversation with the lady serving us explaining I didn’t want butter on mine, but she kept thinking I meant pate, when I repeated butter several times and offered to write this down for her as perhaps it was my mispronunciation. In spite of our long, convoluted conversation, she still managed to serve me my banh mi with butter. Oh well….this won’t put me off visiting again. It’s a little outside of central Manchester but Ancoats seems to be up and coming these days so it’s great to discover eateries like this sprouting up. Give this place a try! Service is friendly though you might get butter when you don’t want it!!
