Visited Junipers for the first time with my family after my mum went in for a coffee and loved it. Food was incredible, everything everyone around us ordered looked delicious we couldn’t stop looking at people’s plates. Fast and friendly service! Lovely coffee and nice outside area for when it gets warmer or even in the rain as they have a shelter. 100% worth a visit!! Will be returning ASAP!

Lovely little gem with a Spanish themed menu, a big variety and regular specials. I’ve never been disappointed. As a vegetarian, it’s good to know that a lot of the non- veggie options can be adapted. Great coffee too. ¡Me encanta mucho!

My boyfriend James took me on a date to junipers and it was the most beautiful choice has I enjoyed the vibe and the food, the staff were so pleasant and friendly, we even got offered to try this new homemade sauce by our server. I enjoyed my meal and time so much that I hugged the whole staff before leaving. Definitely gonna be coming back, hopefully with the same guy.

Lots of potential but unfortunately very poor execution. We went to Junipers for lunch today, the cafe was small but vibe seemed good on arrived, so we were excited to order, here's where the problems started. We patiently waited around 20 mins for our order to be taken, after 20 mins, a regular customer came into the cafe, ordered a coffee and was served and seated before we had even had our order taken, we put it down to a slight hiccup and decided to stay. Our order was then taken after about 25mins of waiting. We then waited another 15 mins to receive only 2 of the 4 drinks we ordered, my friend sat there without a drink for another 10 mins. Finally after waiting almost 45/50mins we were served our food, I had a chicken wrap and my girlfriend had a chicken sandwich, both were very dry and unseasoned and needed sauces to be able to eat them. It's a real shame because the cafe looked to have potential however the service today was appalling amd there was not even apology for the delays and obvious queue jumping/favouritism for regulars. I would not recommend Junipers unless it's empty when you go otherwise you could be waiting a long time for not just dry food but also for any sort of drink too.

Junipers absolutely never fails to let me down. Adoring such a much loved cafe can mean it is often busy but quality and service never dips. The paratha breakfast absolutely would be my death row meal and I love treating myself to one of the fresh bakes on offer

Me, my sister and my friend came to visit Junipers in Chorlton just under an hour ago. We walked in and all the tables were being used but a lovely gentleman came over to us very politely and told us the waiting time would be around 20 minutes which was no problem so we seated outside while we waited. After a 30 minute wait we were seated at a table by a lady who offered water for the table which was lovely so we looked at the menus and decided what to order. Then the lovely gentleman from the start came over to take our order and the wait wasn’t too long either which we were very happy with. Our smoothies arrived first they were so lovely then next our food arrived. Both mine and my friends food were lovely but my sister had ordered a chicken burrito and chips, she took a bite out the corner of the burrito and in the middle was a black eyelash wedged in the wrap. My sister felt quite uncomfortable from this as she struggles with germs especially. So the lady who seated us came by our table and my sister very politely said i’m sorry but i’ve found an eyelash in my food and the woman said right okay do you want another or a refund but as she said this her tone was very rude and it made her feel uncomfortable, my sister is quite shy and isn’t confrontational at all so she asked if she could have another please despite the health hazard. So then the lady went to take the food back and after a short wait she brought a new burrito back which we were very grateful for. After she had gone my sister looked at the burrito and on the burrito (as need to add it’s served cut in half so you can see the inside) she looked and there was a black curly hair placed in the middle which appeared very set up? So I went over to the till to speak to the same lady and very politely i said i’m sorry but my sister she’s received her second burrito and theres a black curly hair placed in the middle she’s not taken a bite out of it as it’s right on top unfortunately and the woman replied to say right okay do you want a refund and i said yes please but i’m sorry it’s a little unfair and explained how my sister she struggles with germs but the woman wasn’t very understanding and replied bluntly to say right okay. So I said thankyou and went back to our table. Then the same lady came over and i very politely just said i’m sorry but i feel that since we have approached our situation to you your tone has changed quite a lot with us when as before you were very lovely which this lady replied very bluntly has it and i just said i’m sorry but yes i feel like it has and she sharply said well sorry but with no sympathy behind it ( Tone is everything) so my friend then went politely on to explain about my sisters struggles with her germs and we feel it’s a little unfair but the server continued to have blunt reply’s with abit of an attitude to everything which was quite disappointing as we remained very polite the whole time as we aren’t the type to be rude. So then we asked if we could please get the bill and she brought over the card reader then we made our payment and we left. As everything was going on we were receiving dirty looks from the kitchen staff and the lady herself which just made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome as we were really looking forward to coming here this morning. It’s just very disappointing the woman who was serving us her attitude as it really ruined our experience and because of this none of us want to return after today unfortunately. I will also add in the picture my sister taken of her second burrito she received where you can see the black hair.

Small n cozy. I forgot to ask for syrup so I didn't love my iced matcha - looked cute with the green straw though. The vegan chorizo burrito was a 10/10 tasted better than any I've ever made (and I'm Mexican). I tried my friend's grilled cheese and it also. banged. Would come again next time I'm in Manchester.

My wife and I stopped by for our breakfast this morning. This was our first time visiting Junipers but it won't be our last! We each had the Junipers Breakfast which was superb. Really tasty (the sausage was my favourite!) and well presented. Speedy service and pleasant staff added to the experience. With a breakfast tea and an American coffee the bill came to £28.

Fab little spot for breakfast with friends. Six of us had a lovely, relaxed breakfast on a Saturday. Really friendly and welcoming staff, lovely food. We got there as it opened at 10am and then folk were queuing or being turned away as its just a small place. My only small concern was the toilet being downstairs via some sketchy stairs that were steep and a little worn.

Muy, muy buena comida en cafetería acogedora pero bulliciosa. ¡Relajante y animador al mismo tiempo! Después de una corta espera para sentarse, ambos tomamos café (recomiendo el café Café Bonbon y leche condensada para un verdadero placer) y jugo de naranja con un desayuno inglés completo. Los ingredientes sabrosos, suculentos y picantes cayeron bien - salchichas, tocino, huevos, frijoles horneados, hongos, tomate y hachís morenos - tratando con nuestros estados de ánimo de baja energía el domingo por la mañana brillantemente. Otro día podríamos haber optado por cualquier otra cosa en el amplio y diverso menú que atiende a todos los gustos. Estaríamos seguros del nivel de cocina, ingredientes y ambiente general. El servicio era amable, bien informado y rápido. Gracias a todos en Junipers por una gran cena de la mañana.

Phenomenal food. My one suggestion would be to do something about the coffee. Just doesn't match the quality set with the food. Tall coffee glasses are never needed IMO.

Fabulosa comida, equipo maravillosamente cálido, no puede culpar a este lugar! Me he llevado a mis padres ancianos aquí hoy para un regalo... ¡y qué regalo! Desde el café, hasta el aguacate en tostadas, Harry Benedict el sucio, pasando por la cerveza y el vino, todo fue perfecto. Increíbles sabores en la comida, todos creados y cocinados por el equipo de cocina realmente talentoso . . bresket cocinado en casa, salsas hechas a mano en el lugar (el pesto de pimiento rojo es increíble) . . . tan bueno que también tengo una porción para llevar para el té. Delightful little cafe with amazing service and very tasty food

Possibly one of my favourite cafes ever! Not your standard cafe menu but everything tastes amazing and looks picture perfect. I ordered the vegetarian breakfast and the new owners were very happy to substitute the eggs and avocado to a vegan chorizo sausage and an extra hash brown. It was delicious! Gorgeous sourdough toast too. My mum had the paratha breakfast and it just looked amazing. Can’t wait to come back and try the other menu items! You can definitely see why it’s so popular :)

I have been a customer of Juniper's since last year, and I can confidently say that their customer service is exceptional. From my very first visit, I was impressed by the friendly and welcoming staff. As someone who pays attention to detail, I was pleasantly surprised by how hard-working and cooperative the team is, even during busy days. They manage to serve customers quickly and efficiently, all while maintaining their lovely smiles. And then there's Maribel's food—it's out of this world! Everything I've tried has been incredibly delicious and mouth-watering. I honestly can't pick a favorite because everything is so good. You just have to try it all! Now, about the coffee—I'm super picky, like Anton Ego in "Ratatouille." But let me tell you, even Anton would love Emily’s coffee. It's hands down the best coffee I've ever had, and it’s like a magical potion that boosts your energy. You’ve got to try it!

The food is super good, it's been a long time since I had such good toast, we were a table of 4 and we tried 5 different types of toast and they were all delicious, I recommend the parata and the avocado toast with egg and a red sauce that is tremendous . The cook Maribel is charming!!

I went recently due a recommendation from some Spanish friends, best decision ever! The food was incredibly tasty and the staff were lovely with all of us. The Spanish breakfast made us feel at home, the avocado toast didn't hold back on the flavour. I will definitely will be coming back. 10/10

Used to love this place but frequently turned away these days (and for the past couple of years) because I don't have cash on me (also don't usually have a card so can't get cash out - would pay by phone if they accepted contactless payments). Not only inconvenient but also seems a bit suspicious to only trade in cash.

Visited on one of their busiest days of the year with the Manchester half marathon running right past their door. Even though they were rushed off their feet they were super friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend with no reservations!

Sunday morning brunch just lovely 😍

We were pleased to discover that this cafe is now open on a Monday, although they don’t open until 10 so don’t head down too early. We haven’t been in a while, and today was also the first time I have sat inside here. On a wet day, there were lots of indoor tables first thing, but they were all full by the time we finished our brunch. It’s a popular spot and the food is good. A range of cooked options, and both French toast and pancakes. No granola or similar items. The full English got a big tick from me - a good sized serving of mushrooms, tasty hash brown, not too much sausage (one small one, which was just right) but generous with the bacon and the one egg was done well. I wouldn’t rave about the coffee, but it was okay and when we asked for tap water, we got a chilled carafe rather than a small glass, which also pleased me. Friendly service and the meals came out in good time. Quite a walk down a somewhat precarious staircase to the basement toilet; not unheard of at cafes in this area, but something for anyone with mobility issues to be aware of. Next time hopefully it will be sunny enough to sit out front again, and to watch the world pass by, but I now know that on a wet day, this is also a great place to eat indoors.

Food looked great but we sat outside as busy and have 3 dogs. We're given menus but not told if it was table service or bar. 3 staff stood around the till didn't get served in over 15 mins and 2 ladies went in after us and were served so we left and went to Benito Lounge. Disappointing as planned in advance to come here and would prefer to support independent businesses.

This is a lovely coffee shop that you should try out in Manchester. Just follow Google maps and it will bring you here safely. I came for breakfast with my partner and no regrets. We had a plate of their junipers breakfast and it was quite filling. We both had americano coffee and defence smoothie. The smoothie was really refreshing with a wonderful taste. Then I ordered the carrot card, which I was told is a favourite. It was so yummie to have. I will be visiting again when manchester.

Had the Junipers Breakfast which was amazing, one of the best I’ve ever had. Coffee was nice, staff were friendly. Only stayed nearby for 2 nights for the Coldplay concert and came here for breakfast before driving back down to Devon - very glad we did!

Visited mid-week at lunchtime. Didn’t have a reservation. No issues getting a table. The restaurant wasn’t busy when we arrived but filled up fairly quickly. Good menu selection. Had the ‘Dirty Harry’; wasn’t disappointed. Service was efficient and courteous. P.S. Nice to see Irish butter being served!

Junipers is a really nice spot for lunch/brunch in Chorlton, and it's been consistently good each time I've visited now (3 times overall). They do a range of breakfast/brunch items, from more traditional to more Spanish-y themed meals, alongside a selection of coffees, soft drinks, and alcohol, with a meal and hot drink usually costing about £13-15 overall. The food itself is really very good! When I've visited, I've tended to go for the more 'Spanish' brunches - the burrito with chorizo, scrambled eggs & cheese, the Spanish breakfast, Paratha breakfast etc. They're all really tasty, generous portions, and the kind of thing you'd happily have again, as well as being something a little different. More 'standard' fried breakfasts are also on offer, alongside pancakes etc. Vegan options are available (ie subbing in vegan chorizo in the burrito/paratha breakfast). Main courses are around £9-£13. They also do a range of hot drinks, usually around £3. To try is the Cafe Bombon, if you like sweet coffees! (It's espresso and condensced milk). At midday-2pm, it's usually very busy, but the turnover is quick so you don't tend to have to wait too long (today, we waited about 5/10 mins for a table of two to open up). Because it's busy it's always a nice vibe, and the service is good. There's outdoor seating, as well, for the summer months. I think it's just turn up on the day - I don't imagine you can order. All told, if you're after a nice brunch/lunch in Chorlton at a reasonably price, it's a really good option!

Really charming little cafe. We were in Manchester for an event and stopped in here as somewhere local to where we were staying. Rather than just being a convenient place to eat Sunday brunch, the menu was varied and all of us enjoyed the meals we ordered. The staff were lovely, really friendly. Would definitely recommend.

If I could give ten stars then I would. Delicious vegan breakfast today. Delicious brioche French toast. Delightful service. Had the most enjoyable couple of hours. Highly recommend. Can’t wait to return!

We came in just for a drink. Unfortunately, the table was very sticky and we had to peel the menu off it. The service was friendly and our drinks were OK. However, being told the toilet was out of use was most inconvenient. All in all, I think a 3 star review was fair. (However, the comments you posted do not encourage me to return.)

We have visited with our dog at least four times over the summer months. The service is brilliant - friendly and attentive. The food is consistently excellent and always that bit different. A great find. Our dog always gets fussed over too. The only minor negative is the steep steps to the cellar toilet. No good if you have mobility issues but can't be helped in this old and compact property.

We gave the junipers classic breakfast a try and it was lovely, the mushrooms in particular! Great service and lovely environment with seating available both inside and out. We will be back again soon.
