Fantastic selection of delicious food, and fast, wonderful service. Would hugely recommend!

This establishment has gone downhill over several month since the new owners. Prices have gone up and quality considerably reduced. Specifically the breakfast menu and breakfast sandwiches. Several time now I have been given the wrong order and the actual food is jusrlt awful. Burnt sausages on a regular basis. A portion of mushrooms consisting of a single mushroom? The service staff are it's only saving grace as they are fab, but, I'm done with this place now.

We have just had an amazing brunch at this great cafe! The service was excellent and the food very very good! The staff here work so hard to make sure the customer has a great experience! The atmosphere is lovely which is evident by the number of customers coming in to eat in and take away! Keep doing what you are doing you have it just right! Thank you!

Absolutely disgusting place. A member of staff humiliated me inftont of everybody because I didn't want to sit next to a table of 6 lads that had just been smoking drugs on the ftom of their shop. There were 4 tables of 2 empty so she tried to put me next to those lads that were being really loud so I said I would like to sit anywhere else but there. She then said I'm saving those tables of 2 incase 4 people cone in and began to count 1,2,3,4 loudly in front of everyone. So sit there she said. In the end I said no thanks I will go somewhere else. I have been going this place a very long time and I am absolutely disgusted I really am. Never setting foot in this dirty drug ridden place ever again.

Always enjoy Breakfast at the Bakery. Need to walk several miles afterwards.

When this was called (Burton Road bakery) That was ran by mark it was wonderful the food was always amazing, same with the staff. But Nowadays it’s really going down hill stale barmcakes, small cakes less filling and now very over priced. seems to be a new member of staff - older blonde lady with big lips that wears a pen in her hair. She’s just not very pleasant unless she fancies you then you get a smile. She needs a lesson in customer services very rude. Definitely needs retraining by the original staff as they are all amazing and can’t be faulted. Jane , Leah and the rest of the original team are a true credit to this place .

Came here for lunch for first time and impressed with menu choice and prices . Very reasonable , we both had lamb kebabs potatoes and salad . Everything was delicious and freshly cooked . Service very efficient . Only comment was the chairs were a bit hard and maybe a cushion would be comfier Would come again for brunch

Staff were really friendly and accommodated a pretty last minute request for sandwich platters for a small party. The food was nicely presented, delicious and good value. I’ll definitely use the bakery for catering again in the future. Thank you!

My son and I popped in today for the first time, and would definitely go again. The service was absolutely fantastic, the food was very tasty and prices were really competitive. Highly recommend.

The food is always lovely, however when we showed up for lunch at 1pm (on Google it says closes at 3pm so we assumed kitchen would close 2pm) we were told by a very smug man that the kitchen was closed. Wouldn’t have minded so much if he didn’t seem so happy to get rid of us - not like it was very busy. Probably won’t go back and I did used to go quite often.

This place is a perfect spot for a delicious breakfast/brunch! Stuff is so welcoming and helpful, and each time I’m going there I feel like I’m home. Top notch place! 🤎

Popped in as they were closing to get one of the last cheese & onion pasties, the gentleman was very welcoming and threw in a spinach & feta pastry for free as they were about to shut. Lovely fella. Both tasted great too, excellent service.

Asked whether we could have the dog with us and was told no only to see a dog allowed shortly afterwards.

Lovely bakery, sandwiches & cake to takeaway as well as providing dine in breakfast & lunch. Breakfast was good. I didn't like the sausages, but the assistant apologised for Lincolnshire sausages being sold out. Nice cup tea. Lots of breakfast choices, including full vegetarian breakfast.

They do the best ham salad on white barm in the world. Bar none. No contest. Not even close. All salad fresh, crispy and tasty. Want more? The soups are excellent, home made and just right. Friendly staff too. Sure, there’s a reason it’s busy.

Amazingly friendly and welcoming staff serving a comforting breakfast/brunch. The place is obviously doing things right as it always has people queueing for its good hearty food and coffee. The full English breakfast was just the right size to allow you to carry on your day and not sink into a blissful food coma.

This is by far the nicest cafe in Manchester. I work at Withington Hospital and we all come here! The breakfasts are amazing! Someone reviewed earlier that the sausages were cheap?! They are proper butchers pork sausages, nothing like the usual cheap breakfast sausages you get? The owner and his staff are also very polite and attentive on every visit. The cafe is very multicultural so that previous review is absolutely ridiculous! I see the staff chatting to everyone, regardless of race! I do agree though, I wish it was open on Sunday's!!

Sandwiches are nice but sometimes the service is very poor. The owner is really rude, told my mum to wait outside with her 2 year old child once. Also made my nana feel very uncomfortable in the store because the women gave the wrong change back by accident. We used to go all the time so shocked he would treat my family this way. I feel as if he judges/treats us by our ethnicity.

Rude staff and extremely poor customer service. I counted 6 staff members and they were all painfully slow. The guy who served me was abruptly rude and seemed as though he really did not want to be working there. I came in for take away food not your dissatisfaction with your life.

We were staying at the Premier Inn and walked into West Didsbury for a coffee. This cafe was just what we were looking for and as it was so hot we sat outside. My Husband had a piece of flapjack with white chocolate which he enjoyed and I had a piece of cherry and rhubarb sponge, which I loved. The coffee was also good and we would definitely go there again!

A proper family business. I think I was chatting to the Dad and the daughter and he was telling me about how long they've been there and stuff. I'd just moved to the area so went for lunch and sat outside to take the local area in. Food was great, I had lasagne. So good I took my Mum back the next weekend.

Could not recommend enough!! They were so accommodating of our group of 8 even though it was near to close, the food was incredible snd such good value and the staff were so helpful. Also some great vegan options for our friend. Will definitely be returning soon- loved it!

Friendly and local place with free WiFi. There were no rolls on the sit in menu but that was no problem when I asked for a bacon & egg roll, which was excellent.

I had brunch here today, it was delicious, the ingredients were quality and the portions were large, the staff and servers were all very nice. We ordered a full English, a halloumi burger meal, 2 coffees and 2 cans of pop, overall the bill came to just over 20 pounds which I thought was super cheap for West Dids. I will definitely be returning!

Had a fab veggie breakfast yesterday. It was all made fresh, the lady serving me was very polite, lovely and sweet. When I said no eggs, she immediately asked me if I wanted the eggs a different way, which I did, scrambled. The food was made fresh and it was piping hot, I love really hot food. Well worth the wait and the prices are fair and reasonable. Will definitely be back. I got told about this place the same day I did my visit and the reviews from others were spot on.

One best places for breakfast. High quality food, great customer experience. Staff are really friendly. They offer vegetarian break too. Lunch time options also include range of fresh sandwiches. Their soups are one of the best. Really good bakery section with freshly baked cakes.

Love going to Burton Road Bakery as sometimes i just want a good barm with none of the boujee bollocks that tends to get thrown around on plates at the other burton road breakfast places.

First day they opened today for takeaway, I picked up my vanilla heaven slices The dogs Bxxxxxxs, I'm sat back trying to eat them ery slowly to make them last but they are dissapearing veeerry fast. Wonderful

Full breakfast for £7.25 is excellent value. Vegetarian option and smaller options are all even cheaper. Lots of outside seating for good weather. A bit dark and not very warm inside on a cold Saturday morning but brekkie warmed us up. Good coffee. Very prompt service and very pleasant staff

I love this cafe and come here most Tuesdays when I’m a college . It’s not trendy or fancy but you get a warm welcome, efficient service and I usually have a beautiful vegetarian breakfast which is delicious . Also do fab fresh orange to go. Fab place .

We call in on a Sunday morning for breakfast every couple of weeks and we really enjoy it homemade vegetarian black pudding is a must full English recommended and great service too

Very handy for Withington hospital and the food was just average. However if somebody had difficulty with their mobility and needed the toilet, the stairs are very steep going down to the basement.

Great place to sit and have some dinner. We had Cajun chicken burgers, very good quality. All the staff are smiling and happy.
