Great night out. Helpful, knowledgeable and attentive staff. Fantastic food and good value for money. Already looking forward to my next visit.

This Chinese restaurant and bar occupies a prominent site at the point where Duke Street and Berry Street meet. Looks like it’s an ex-pub. Bright signage makes it easy to locate on the fringes of Chinatown. Booked online, but wasn’t that busy for a Wednesday evening. Seated straight away. Nice booth. Plenty of room to get around it. You like to see it. The beer was Asahi. The pint. Also bottle of Tiger for the tank. Massive range of cocktails on offer, but I only do those at weekends. Excellent food selection - small plates, bigger mains, Bao and dim sum. Yum. This is why I was here! Beautiful prawn toasts to start, with a trio of char-sui pork bao. I love bao; I could eat them all day. They also did bigger, folded, bao full of duck. For a main, crispy shredded chilli beef with egg fried rice. Nice. A good portion too, sometimes they go overboard with the rice but this was spot on. Some great looking puddings; but I was full. Definitely heading back here at some point. Recommended for a visit if you’re looking for tasty Chinese food. Yum.

Service was quick and good atmosphere but food was tasteless. Tried both the crispy chilli beef and sweet and sour chicken and cannot recommend either unfortunately.

We visited on a Tuesday night to take advantage of their veganuary promo - boasting a decent variety of choice and excellent value. We enjoyed the Malaysian Curry, spicy and full of flavour and the fried vermicelli which was packed with charred veg and flavour. Over ordering, we also got the roasted cauliflower and kimchi, the flavours and textures here blended really well, the handcut noodles, spicy with a bouncy chew, just simply incredible - and because no meal is complete without them a salt and pepper chip, incredibly fresh, crunchy and perfectly seasoned. The service was so friendly and welcoming, quick and helpful. Would definitely recommend a visit!

Extremely poor customer service. I left the restaurant after waiting 20 mins for someone to take my order. I felt discriminated against as a person dining solo. Would not recommend.

Chamber 36 is an absolute gem that brings Asian fusion to the heart of Liverpool. The menu is a stunning fusion of Asian cuisines, with every dish crafted for maximum flavor. The Crispy Duck Salad is always a highlight for me—light, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The Bao Buns are another must-try, with fillings that are tender and sauces that pack a punch. Their cocktails, like the Lychee Martini, are top-notch and complement the food beautifully. Service here is second to none. The staff are knowledgeable about the menu and happy to make recommendations, making you feel like a valued guest every time. Whether it’s for a group celebration or a romantic evening, Chamber 36 nails it. It’s one of those places that keeps me coming back for more, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

Elinor was so fantastic, she explained everything & suggested some great items for us as we said we like spicy. The food was very good but a bit lacking in flavour & chicken satay was dry. Can’t believe a chain doesn’t take Amex - big mistake.

Cocktails were very good, ribs served cold. Pad thai had been microwaved. Made to feel awkward on feed back. Would not return. Better Thai over the road. 😉

We ate here two days running,our first experience was so good we went back the next day. If you eat before 6pm you can get the cocktail package, the food truly was excellent and the cocktail's were beautifully made by the really enthusiastic bartender. This place is not a chines but a menu offering a limited amount of re heating Aldi food Everything served on cold plate -cheap ingredients, made up side dishes Duck pancakes tasted like rubber and already made up If you like awful food that is not Chinese and pay twice what its worth you will find this place perfect

Wonderful service and great cocktails… thankyou kindly to the accommodating gentleman who greeted us and made our drinks, sadly the food didn’t mirror the service. Soggy batter on tempura starter, tough chicken pieces on mains…very average

Never leave reviews but this was so bad I decided to. Ages to be greeted, left stood around waiting for about ten minutes in everyone's way by the door before being acknowledged. Person who met us eventually (only did so because we made eye contact but you could tell that annoyed her by her loud sigh) was rude and dismissive, actually sounded like they were trying to convince us to go somewhere else. Once seated everything after took just as long, drinks order and then arriving was about twenty minutes. Ten minutes later our food order is taken, no question of allergies btw, we didn't have any so no major issue, but having worked in hospitality this is standard to ask about so that's worrying. Starters were small, dry and overcooked. Mains were incorrect so they were replaced with the correct greasy, room temperature and underwhelming dishes, which I assume had been sat on the pass for ages waiting to go out, as when we said we had the wrong dishes the correct ones arrived seconds later. The wrong order we were given first looked better, should have kept it. Again it took a long time before the table was cleared, even longer for the bill after asking for it. Could have just been a bad/hectic day for them so could be a one off, but that was definitely my only visit here.

1st time visit with my partner and daughter and we were not disappointed. Seated in a nice cosy booth (table 1) atmosphere was just right with a good choice of music staff we encountered seemed happy and friendly. Service was quick and the food and cocktails were amazing it was the best sweat & sour chicken we had ever had. We will definitely be back.

Went with my daughter prior to her driving back to Bristol after a weekend visit. Great food and very friendly and prompt service. Ideal for family meal or for a group of friends. Would definitely go again.

Was really looking forward to eating here. Unfortunately it was disappointing. The chicken satay was dry. Phad thai was average. Won't be going again.

Ordered food from this place at 5.30pm, it's now almost 7.30pm and the food is still not on the way. Why accept an order if you can't do it?

We always come back to Chamber 36 when we're in Liverpool. Delicious food and cocktails! We love the small plates and can order lots of different dishes between us ☺️

Visited chamber 36 Berry street last night as a group of 22 and can honestly say everyone enjoyed the meal atmosphere and food was excellent staff were so helpful polite and friendly will 100% be returning we had 3 children in our group and found chamber 36 to be a family friendly restaurant

Food was fantastic, we went for the dim sum/small plates option and everything was delicious. There's a great cocktail list also, the Beijing Bellini is amazing! Our waitress was very knowledgeable and attentive and took great care of us. Will definitely be back soon!

Great Chinese food on the edge of Chinatown in Liverpool, in a contemporary setting. Had tasty starters (duck pancakes, generously filled), and there was the option to have several small bites instead of a standard meal. But my wife preferred a Thai Green Curry, so we went with the traditional format and I had a Beef Kung Po. Both were absolutely top quality, with good meat in quite large portions and each came with a decent mound of fried rice. Service was good, if not spectacular, but it was a very good meal and I'm sure we'll go again next time we're in town.

Amazing as always! First time to Smithdown as we always go to city centre restaurant. Thought it couldn’t get any better but food as amazing as city centre. But the staff are just amazing. Amazing service and lovely girls. Defo worth a try!

Loved this place, good food. Good array of choices. Quiet enough to have a good chat but not so quiet that there was no atmosphere. They didn't even kick us out when we were just sitting and laughing after our food.

I had a great time at Chamber 36 on Friday evening. I was home for a visit and my friends suggested Chamber 36 as they'd been before and said they had lots of vegan options. I had the sweet and sour tofu with some tender stem broccoli and both were delicious. The highlight of the visit was the staff/service. The barman, our server and especially our waitress were genuinely nice people and couldn't do enough for us. We had a great chat with our waitress as we paid our bill and we all left on a high after a great evening. The barman also makes the nicest French Martinis! My new favourite cocktail. Thanks to everyone for such a good time.

Chamber 36 is a restaurant chain which has a very strong vegan menu and serves a wide selection of cocktails. To start we had the Vegetable Tempura which was crunchy and delicious, with a very generous portion. We had the Salt and Pepper Tofu with Rice and a Malayasian Curry sauce on the side. This was an amazing combination and was so tasty. The sauce is very creamy with a strong coconut flavour. We also had the Black Pepper Stir fry which was probably the best dish and was recommended by our server. Sweet and peppery with Udon noodles that worked perfectly. Overall the food was good, the location super convenient and they were able to easily host a group of 11 which is a testament to their service. Definitely would advise this restaurant 😊

Not the best in Liverpool. Duct was too dry but chicken and meat were fine... the interior design could be a little bit more authentic, too regular.

Went with hubby for drinks and small plates on the Sat one week soo good we went back the following Sunday. Ribs/ Satay chicken/ Belly Pork/ Char Siu pork/ Crispy Chicken/ Meat Spring Rolls/ Rice and Salt & Pepper fries. Have been here two years in a row first week weem in Dec with friends for drinks and meal we did the cocktail pairing which was also amazing.

We were a large gathering of 14 family and friends for my twins 21st the staff could not have been kinder - wonderful cocktails and great food we will certainly visit again

the food is excellent, all of the four dishes we ordered were equally tasty. the staff are very friendly. Good size portions. a warm friendly atmosphere.

The waiting staff are lovely! Very friendly and warm, and the decor is good. Issue was that the food was pretty disappointing. Twice the price to the quantity and quality of what you get. I say go deaper into China town for somthing more a authentic and better deal.

The food was amazing again and very reasonably priced, service was also first class. Could not fault anything. If you haven’t been you’re missing out. Will definitely be going here again, I would highly recommend Chamber 36!

An excellent restaurant serving Chinese food in the heart of Liverpool. Emphasis placed on quality rather than quantity and priced accordingly. The food was value for money if you value quality but the drinks were expensive at £29 for a bottle of basic white wine. Staff were excellent, although only 2 serving staff, which wasn't enough at busier times.

Really nice place this. Great service from an extremely friendly waitress. Food was gorgeous. Even the vegan selection was gorgeous so I was told. Great drink selection too. Only downside was service charge and a tax was included in the bill ! There were only 2 of us so why an enforced service charge ?

Booked a table for 15 of us, fairly last minute, with ease! Also made sure that all the food was without peanuts as we had an allergy within the group. We actually ran slightly late. However, I kept the returnable updated, and there was no pressure on us at all. As soon as we arrived, the staff were all amazing. Our main waiter was top tier, and he made sure the stag was promtly hydrated ;) The food was amazing and the drinks were brought out so quickly and tasted great!!! Honestly, I couldn't recommend more. All of us loved it.

Went here yesterday for celebration. Went as a walk in and barman/waiter was very welcoming. Had the salt and pepper platter. Have to say it was the best food we had. It was all extremely fresh and also very tasty. Waitress was very pleasant and served with a smile which made it more enjoyable. Drinks were done very well. I would recommend chamber 36 to anyone. Will we be going back....absolutely....thank you for a lovely meal....

We took advantage of Liverpool Restaurant Week and went here to sample the cocktails. The service was excellent. We were served by Jade who could not do enough for us. Her customer service skills are second to none and we felt very valued as customers. We will definitely be returning. The cocktail menu was fantastic and the menu looked great so look forward to sampling the cuisine. Special thanks to Jade. she is excellent front of house and brightened our day.

had a offer via gourmet card so thought we would give this place a try very pleasant setting easy to find as its a corner building good well laid out website with up to date prices on we opted for the pad Thai and the Malaysian curry both meals where nicely presented not large portions but perfectly adequate and very tasty we will be back

Attended Sunday evening, food is beautiful as is the wine and cocktails. Vietnamese spring rolls are an absolute must, followed by steamed Sui mais. Customer service was spot on from the staff. Cannot wait to return.

Booked Chamber 36 as my "fancy meal" during my hen do weekend, and honestly couldn't rate it enough. The staff were so friendly, the food was fantastic and all of my hens raved about how much they enjoyed the whole experience. Special thank you to our waitress, who after the meal arrived to the table with a tray of shots! Loved that she was helping us to celebrate - I'm so sorry, didn't catch her name but she was fab! The restaurant itself has such a nice vibe. Moody lighting, good music. It was just a lovely atmosphere. The menu has something for everyone, I am vegan so it was nice to have a proper vegan and gluten free menu. Food was delicious, and so filling. 10/10 - thank you for making our meal so enjoyable! I will definitely be back!

We went here on Saturday for a meal as part of a hen do weekend and was very glad we did! The food was so delicious and the options of small plate suited our group perfectly for our pre night out meal. We had a large group (18 people) but staff were really friendly and ensured all of our needs were catered for. We had 3 people requiring vegan food also and the choice was fantastic for them too! All of our group enjoyed the meal and have said they would return. Thank you for having us!

Dined here with my son. Very warm welcome and lovely menu. We had fabulous dumplings and 2 mains, which were delicious. Only downside was that my son wanted to order dessert to finish off our meal but we were informed that the kitchen was closed!! Otherwise we’ll worth a visit!!

This is the worst Restaurant I have ever been to. We booked table for 8.30pm after being seated we was told that the starters will be served with the main course because the kitchen closes at 9pm so why wasn’t we told when booking the table. The waiter was so rude rushing us because he was about to finish his shift. All the food came out together and was freezing cold we decided to just pay the bill to get out of the place when we asked for the bill was told ask someone else because have finished my shift. What a night. I wouldn’t advise anyone to go to this restaurant £134 for appalling service and cold food.

Had a wonderful meal this Friday, can't speak highly enough of the staff and the manager Sasha was extremely attentive, offering to change our table for a better view of the lion dance! Food was impeccable and the drinks were too. Wonderful as always

I visited this restaurant with friends after a recommendation. Definitely not disappointed. The food was amazing, probably the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve been to many restaurants. We all agreed how good food and service was at reasonable prices, and we will all be back.

Was recommended this place by a friend and I couldn’t fault it. Really great quality food, a little more pricy than your average Chinese but the quality was worth the extra.

The food is outstanding, I can’t rate the quality of the meals high enough very impressed. Service is very quick and the food is hot. Would highly recommend the Tom yum soup!

We have been to this restaurant many times and have always found the food and service excellent, unfortunately it was not the same on this visit. Food was great, piping hot and tasty, the problem we had was the service. When we arrived the restaurant was quiet so we were served drinks and after around 20 minutes our order was taken. After around another 20 minutes we had to ask where our soup was, this then came 5 minutes later. It was now an hour since we had been seated and we had only just finished our soup. We then waited around another 15 minutes for some of our small plates to be brought out. Staff were friendly and very apologetic for the delay.

Came here for a surprise birthday meal. Had 2 courses. The spring rolls were cooked perfectly. For the main I had crispy shredded beef with fried rice. The portion was quite big. The drinks were reasonably priced. Staff were friendly. The restaurant is located across the road from the Chinese Arch. Would recommend.

Came here January 2023 for something to eat before a show at The Phil. Had ordered takeaway from here once or twice first time during lockdown so had been wanting to come to the place itself for a while. My partner and I arrived first...

Environment was lively and atmosphere was great. We ordered two vegan dim sum dishes each which was enough for us as we only wanted a light bite. Our waiter Owen gave great service and made the whole evening a pleasant experience.

We went for food on a Sunday afternoon and there ws a pre theatre deal £13.50 for either 3 small plates or a starter and a main which we thought was amazing value for money. The portion sizes were really good and the service was great too. It wasn't very busy that early but there was still a nice atmosphere from the very friendly/smiley staff. They had a generous vegan menu as well as the usual favourites which ws perfect as im vegan but my friend isn't. I would highly recommend and will be returning again

Drinks, food and service was just mediocre. Skin of the dumplings was too thick, duck skin wasn’t crispy, pork belly on the dry side, soup dumplings had hardly any soup inside, … - I expected much more because of the good eating.
