Skip this. I could not eat that chicken -- it was nauseatingly gamey and stinky. No amount of seasoning and frying can cover up the low quality base product. Secondly, very poor ventillation: your clothes WILL smell like a frying pit (unless you order 'to go'). Finally, rather slow for a fast food joint.

I passed the restaurant by chance one day and decided to give it a go, now I make sure to pop in every time I visit Manchester. The Buffalo Soldier is the best burger I have ever had, honestly unreal! Chips are always hot and crispy, and mac n cheese is also great!!

Had a fantastic meal here tonight on the way to other evening entertainment. The Bird of Prey Chicken burger was so flavourful, and the fries cooked perfectly. I particularly recommend the insanity sauce, it's got a nice building heat to it without trying too hard about being in your face. Highly recommended!

Burger was nice tasting, cooked well but dodgy stomach in the morning, chips were decent. Milkshake was ridiculously over priced. Bland, minimal amount of milk, choc sauce, a crushed Malteaser and spray cream. Felt robbed.

After an absolutely chaotic day at the Manchester Christmas markets, where the crowds were so dense we could barely shuffle along like penguins, we eventually gave up trying to get food there. The queues for every stall stretched around the block, making it impossible to even consider waiting. It was by far the busiest scene we’ve ever encountered, so we decided to head elsewhere for something to eat. That’s when we found the fast food joint Bird of Prey, and it was exactly what we needed. We ordered two meals: the Buffalo Soldier Sandwich and the Bird of Prey Sandwich, along with a side of barbecue chicken strips and two portions of chips. The Buffalo Soldier Sandwich came loaded with a juicy chicken thigh, buffalo sauce, blue cheese sauce, crispy onions, garlic mayo, spring onion, American cheese, pickles, and lettuce. The Bird of Prey Sandwich featured a hearty chicken breast topped with awesome sauce, turkey bacon, white Alabama BBQ sauce, pink pickled onions, American cheese, pickles, and lettuce. These burgers were massive. They were so big that you practically needed two hands to hold them steady, and eating them without making a mess was a mission in itself. But the flavours made up for it – bold, rich, and absolutely delicious. Each bite was packed with satisfying layers of flavour, and the portions were more than enough to fill us up after our hectic day. The barbecue chicken strips were perfectly cooked and complemented the meal nicely. If you’re looking for a place that serves generous portions of indulgent, flavourful food, Bird of Prey won’t disappoint. Just be ready for a messy but satisfying experience!

The food here was absolutely incredible! I can't praise this place highly enough. The ambiance was wonderfully relaxing, creating such a peaceful and inviting setting. The staff were exceptionally attentive, friendly, and supportive, making the entire experience feel warm and welcoming. The service was genuinely one of the best I've encountered. The chicken is perfectly cooked and the rest of the ingredients are very high quality as well. PFK with brie is just amazing and the shakes are for lack of a better word ostentatious!

Very nice fast food resturant and generally good value for money. They also have a nice outdoor seatings with heaters. The owner and staff of the resturant are very professional and nice they always comes around to check up how customers are happy about the food and the service. The main feedback or only the downside for the resturant is the doors which is a bet heavy to pull and push. Other than this it’s nice spot to have a burger or fried chicken and fresh fried fries. Food always come fresh and perfect I really respect it when family business quality is very high. I wish please if you can solve the heavy door push and pull issue 🙏🙏 Thank you,

My girlfriend and I stopped here for some chicken before a concert and we LOVED it. Together we had the smokestack burger which was delicious and filled with chicken, bacon and bbq sauce, and also 6 chicken strips, with very lovely Bop gravy, very good stuff. We also got drinks and a biscoff milkshake which was very tasty. The service was all good and the place itself had very cool lights and an overall nice atmosphere.

Best burger I’ve ever had! I got the Damn Hot Bird (was very spicy so they ain’t lying!). My friends got the beef burgers which I had a bite of and it was very juicy and tasty. Chips were well cooked and seasoned, the wings are amazing and saucy :) The owner was lovely, enthusiastic, and helpful in our decision making. Her passion is reflected in the taste and quality of food, which is fantastic 10/10. Also don’t forget the milkshakes, they alone are worth going in for!

Tried the buffalo chicken sandwich here, and it was fantastic—easily the best I’ve had in Manchester. The chicken was juicy, with just the right amount of spice and flavor. The fries were average, nothing too special, but the sandwich alone made the meal worth it. Highly recommend if you’re after a great buffalo chicken sandwich!

Ordered a 'tribute' sandwich, 'insanity' wings and fries. The sandwich - though a standard fried breast in a bun - was perfect. Great seasoning, even fry and no over-complication of the toppings. The wings were also perfectly cooked, but I should have opted for the 'insanity' sauce on the side, as this saturated the batter, reducing the crisp for me. The sauce was made with fresh, green (possibly habanero) peppers, which was an interesting twist. However, I think this might be improved by using more fruity, red habanero peppers, which would lend itself to dipping better. Fries were fries, though one should never take chips for granted.

Server was rude, charged us incorrectly, and then the order was wrong. When the food eventually came, there was an awful aftertaste. Go to kfc if you want mediocre chicken strips for a stupid price.

I recently visited Bird of Prey twice, and both experiences were absolutely amazing. I went with a friend and we opted for the 2-person meal deal, which is a fantastic offer at £27. It comes with 2 fries, 2 burgers, 2 drinks, and a generous portion of chicken wings. We tried the PFK burger and the Soldier burger along with their signature chicken wings, and everything was absolutely delicious! The burgers were juicy, the wings were perfectly crispy, and the flavors were spot on. The staff really made the experience even better. Special shout out to Ofran and Mariam, who were both incredibly friendly and super helpful. Their service added a personal touch to our visit, which I truly appreciated. The atmosphere at Bird of Prey is funky and chill, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy good food with friends. The vibes were awesome, and I’ll definitely be back again!

Been here three times now and the food is always fantastic. I love a chicken burger but these are next level and the chips are perfect. Proper gourmet! The staff are really friendly and helpful and the food comes out quick. Definitely try the insanity sauce and the accept all cookies shake. So good, I’m going to bring my team here for a team lunch!

Aisha, (front of house) I’m sure by this point knows my order. Pretty sure she would be shocked, if I didn’t order, in my opinion one of the best milkshakes in Manchester with my meal. And don’t get me started on the food, it’s amazing, freshly made fast food is how I would describe it. The fries are the best, and the chicken is perfect. Unfortunately price is high for what you get, usually orders around £15 but I’d say that similar to most places now for this style of food. Also, If you don’t mind a little wait (less than 15 minutes usual) if it’s not busy, your are in for a real treat. Highly recommend.

I don’t usually leave a bad review, but got very upset with Bird of Prey this time. I ordered from a female cashier on the 4th of October. Her attitude was really bad. I waited for more than 30 mins for my order. Quite sad experience, it was a good restaurant in the past.

On holidays from Sydney and found this delicious spot. My kids and I had the chicken burgers and absolutely loved it. The staff were very friendly and hospitable. Will definitely be back a few more times before I fly out.

But the lady said that the advertisement was a mistake… Both ladies at the counter weren’t so nice either. i got myself a hot damn burger, and even though the nice worker told me it was a bit too spicy, i told him i could handle it — spoiler: i couldn’t. but then he brought in cheese sauce to make it a bit more mild which worked wonders! the food tasted amazing, the service was great and we loved the atmosphere with my friends. would definitely come again! 10/10

I really enjoyed the fried chicken burger here. It doesn’t feel too greasy in comparison other places. The portion was generous, you get a thick piece of fried chicken and the pickles work so well with the burger. The bun was a brioche bun and it was fresh and soft. I wasn’t a fan of the wings as it had too much sauce and not crispy enough for my liking, but overall I would recommend.

It feels like quality is going downhill since this place first opened. Drinks weren't fizzy, fries were overcooked and staff didn't really care to do anything about it. Thankfully the chicken is good, but overall way too overpriced.

Came across this place while down in Manchester a few weeks ago and what pleasant surprise. Prices were reasonable not too expensive and the fried chicken was delicious. The chicken strips were massive and the chicken was really fresh, o wish I hadn’t been on Mounjaro or I would have demolished my sisters halloumi fries and probs tried a burger they looked so good. The service was fine guy was pleasant but very slow waited about 20 minutes for the food and by time I was leaving they had people standing everywhere which was kind of annoying when trying to eat. Maybe a bigger venue or booth seats just a suggestion but overall good place for a quick takeout or quick bite to eat basically a fresher KFC

Really original and tasty chicken, and as a non-Halal guy I found the addition of Turkey bacon interested as I’d never had it before. Everything is seasoned really well, the portions are generous and prices are on point. I’ll compare this to CoqFighter in Croydon, where the portions are less and you have to pay 40% more. I’m very impressed, and the service was superb and sitting outside was pleasant as they have heated parasols. Thankyou to the two pretty ladies that served me last night, it was a great experience!

We live nearby at Circle Square and decided to try the chicken at BOP last evening. We ordered a chicken sandwich and a 6 piece chicken strip which came with Franks sauce and BOP gravy (both delicious) and chips. The portions are very generous and worth the price. 6 strips are enough for 2 meals. I had no idea. The chips were great and tastes amazing dipped in the gravy. Everything was fresh and nice and hot. We enjoyed our first meal at BOP. Will be back.
