Stopped in as we were staying at Hyatt Place. Perfect steaks. Our server Steph was great.

Food was good but the experience was made by my brilliant waitress, Andreia. I was on my own and she was friendly, welcoming, made me laugh and recommended a great wine. Made my evening - thank you.

My boyfriend took me for my 18th birthday. Whilst the food incredible, well priced and the place had an amazing atmosphere, none of this was comparable to the service we received from Andreia. She went out of her way to make our night memorable and I’m forever grateful for her kindness and hospitality.

Located in the Hyatt Hotel and operated by them. You can choose from the bar and restaurant menu so a decent choice. Waiting staff were excellent, as was the food. With drinks, expect to pay at least 30 a head for a main and a drink. They add 12pct on top for service FYI. Did I say the food was delicious?

Wonderful all you can eat curry buffet option. Only two vegetarian options, but very tasty. Locus & Tamas did a great job!

For our anniversary this year, we decided to treat ourselves to a special dinner at The Laureate Restaurant. The atmosphere was sophisticated yet inviting. The warm lighting and tasteful decor created a romantic ambiance perfect for an anniversary celebration. We were pleasantly surprised to find a dedicated children's menu that went beyond the usual chicken fingers and fries. The main menu offered a delightful selection of innovative dishes, with fresh, seasonal ingredients. Each dish was a masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. While we savored our gourmet experience, our child enjoyed their well-prepared meal without any fuss. The staff was incredibly attentive and professional. They were accommodating to our child's needs and answering their questions about the menu with patience. They even surprised us with a complimentary dessert plate - a lovely touch for our anniversary! Overall, The Laureate provided the perfect setting for our anniversary dinner. The combination of romantic ambiance, delicious food for all palates, and attentive service made it a truly memorable experience.

The name of the restaurant is not on the building (it is inside the HYATT house) what I got for £15 does not worth it. 1 sausage 1 tiny veg sausage 7cm of bacon 1 fried egg half a grilled tomorrow and few tiny mushrooms 🙄 no toast no pastry nothing else.

Lovely place to stay and dine! Food is amazing, cocktails are top notch. Service is impeccable….🙌

The food was simply superb one of the best meals I have had in a very long time. The staff were incredibly friendly which added to the enjoyment of the evening.

First time we stayed here, the hotel was lovely, clean, beautiful hotel apartment, cosy and warm. The breakfast here I think it the best breakfast in Manchester, good serviced, the best choice to stay in Manchester.

Staying in the Hyatt regency we where spoiled with the quality and service in the restaurant, service staff both evening and morning were excellent, the quality of food was of the highest standard for hotels anywhere in the world.

My wife and myself just had the lovely experience staying at the Hyatt regency, we dined at The Laureate restaurant where the food service and the modern surroundings would be hard to match, we also had breakfast there, which I must say was in my opinion simply the best I have had ever, the service staff again very attentive, we will be back there I'm sure. Thank you and our compliments to all concerned.

Absolutely perfectly cooked steak. Just mouth watering. Tried rib eye and didn’t disappoint. Highly recommended.

Propre et très accueillant sans racisme

Went here as limited dining options near the university and we needed a pre-theatre option. Weirdly, was unable to book online but was able to get a table through the hotel. We had a mixed experience. Service was fine (considering we were the only table eating so early); the atmosphere was nice and the food nicely presented/plated. Fish of the day with salad and chicken caesar were considered good by my family. Unfortunately I had the “smoked duck salad” which was literally THREE tiny slices of duck which then mysteriously had been griddled so they were charred into oblivion and then this was served with three melon balls, three orange segments and some tiny heaps of bland bean sprouts and not much in the way of dressing apart from some “artistic” drops of sauce. Worse, however, was the vegetarian “Mezze” - the dips were simply weird and revolting and the bread it came with was a slice of breakfast toast from a supermarket loaf! I confess I did not complain as felt awkward and we were in a hurry but we will not be dining there again. On the other hand, the hotel was great, super location and breakfast the next day very nice. I think it’s the sort of place which is fine if you order steak and chips or a burger.

It was nice enough, but is a bar situated within a hotel, so not the vibe of a busy restaurant, if you get what i mean. We opted for the club sandwich, again, okay but did not wow us be any means. Would i return? I don't think so. It was an average experience, in a lovely setting but just not our sort of venue for a cosy date.

First visit 10/27/22 we had the salmon and the short rib both were excellent. The waitstaff are attentive and are familiar with the menu we ordered our meals based on their suggestions. One of the best restaurants in Manchester.

The burgers was excellent as were the other meals and service was very good. Would definitely eat here again if staying in this area of Manchester

Had one breakfast and dinner here and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of food ,this is simply not your ordinary hotel chain restaurant. The selection at breakfast was great for both continental and full english. Meanwhile for dinner i ordered a steak which turned out to be one of the best i have ever tried. I was served by Ruben and lexe (or lexi) and they were a delight. The ambience of this place is fantastic as well. If you are around this area or staying in the hotels above , this place is not to be missed.

Would have loved to try their steaks but as I went there on New Years Eve I was told the menu is very limited. There was no note about it on the website or anywhere though.

Pre show meet and dinner, venue recommended. Location and restaurant very well presented and the staff were most excellent. We were offered menus from each restaurant and the current Mrs T and I chose Steak Frite. Our friend chose the salmon. I take steak cooked as Chef recommends and it came rare, she had hers well done and the salmon came medium. Hmmm, arrived but lacking the tomato accompaniment which was resolved but the tomato had suffered a nasty demise ;-) Problem started when I tried to cut my steak..... I couldn’t. Managed a bite, very chewy, next mouthful couldn’t be chewed at all so it sadly went back. Mrs T’s steak was OK apart from being overcooked for my taste. Our friend’s salmon was most excellent btw. To be fair, I was offered an alternative but we were out of time, the steak was comped off and an apology profusely offered. The customer service was great, maybe they just were unlucky and got a rogue steak but at an establishment like this, I would hope that quality control on supply would be much better.

This restaurant is part of the Crowne Plaza hotel near the Manchester Uni campus so I was somewhat surprised to find such a great restaurant in a mid range hotel. The food is excellent; whitebait starters which came as a generous portion with yummy siracha mayonnaise dip. Main course was roast poussin with chunky chips. Other menu options were pizzas, risotto, steaks and some vegetarian choices. Overall the quality was excellent and prices no different to similar standard of restaurant. The service was very friendly and attentive. A great find in an area lacking in decent restaurants (one would otherwise need to go into the city centre).

This year for my birthday I decided to have dinner with some friends at the Laureate and it was the best choice to celebrate this day. I spent a very lovely night with tasty and different food. Me and my friends ordered from Italian meal like pizza or gnocchi to oriental meal like sushi ( in my opinion amazing!). Moreover a very kind and available staff. A special thanks to Ruben, Nikolay, Irene and Campbell to satisfy every our request and to make feel every guest special.

Love the variety of entrees, great portion size for tapas style sharing with friends. Cocktails from the Graduate bar are amazing too!

Can order from the Restaurant menu or the menu from The Graduate bar as they're the same kitchen. Food was nice and tasty. Dietary requirements were no problem at all. Could do with being a bit less posh and a bit more hearty with portions in order to provide better value for money. Not that it wasn't. It's just there's so many eating places around that area that unless you're staying in the hotel and want somewhere convenient to eat it's likely that people will go somewhere in the surroundings that is less expensive. Which is a shame because the service and the food are really great!

It was one of the best service places I stayed at! Amazing. We were served by Ruben and Campbell on two different occasions and they went out of their way to make our trip memorable. The food at the restaurant was also divine- I had the Laksa curry which is so hard to do right and was great and my colleague had the pizza (which was made fresh by their Italian chef). Curtis their chef has really tried hard to bring some interesting and delightful flavours on the menu. The food was one of my highlights of the trip
