I love The Blues Kitchen. Mostly go for drinks/gigs but the food is great too.

Popped in completely spur of the moment in passing and so glad we did. Had the £9 lunch menu and the burger was delicious. Food was hot and plenty of it as well. Such a quirky cool place would love to return. Highly recommend. Staff were all lovely.

Me and my friends/family were at Blues Kitchen on Saturday night for a joint hen do with me and my partner. Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely waitress and all the staff were lovely. The room was ace and had enough room to dance and sit if you wanted! There were loadssss of songs to choose from, really felt like it was our own little party!!! Some members of the group got food and enjoyed it. Really recommend and would 100% go again.

Great place, only popped in for a quick snack. Had a couple of drinks and shared a plate of chicken wings, a bit spicy for me (not a chilli person). If you want a meal best to book first.

Slightly dfferent vibe to the Blues Kitchens in London, for the better. Gig room upstairs is good. Drinks expensive-ish £7ish for a pint, £11ish for a cocktail.

Came here for a concert so I can't really comment on the food quality. However, the atmosphere they created and the service provided really made my time here worthwile and worth the price of admission

I recently visited Blues Kitchen Manchester on a Monday evening while in town on a business trip with colleagues. As a regular at the Shoreditch and Camden venues, I had high expectations and I’m happy to say the Manchester team absolutely lived up to them. The food was on point, the service impressively quick, and the overall vibe of the place was buzzing for a Monday, on a cold windy night up north! It was great to see the venue full and lively, adding to the atmosphere. Special thanks to the on-site manager, who handled a small issue with professionalism and fairness a real credit to the team. Looking forward to coming back soon!

What a great place! Every table was taken, so shows its popularity. Even though it was busy it was well staffed and run really well by attentive and friendly staff . The decor and the feel of the place was a definite vibe. We ate there but there was also seating at the front for drinks only. The food was nice enough. ( We had chicken sandwich and a cheeseburger)No complaints. Would definitely recommend and would return as we just loved the feel of the place. We weren’t there when the live music was on but there was a stage where they regularly have people playing.

Went in last week with a friend for a bit of food and some drinks, Rose was our server and made the night absolutely lovely!

Came here to see a gig, bar was busy but not crowded. Staff were relatively attentive, and polite. Like the place, will be back.

Drinks were on point and came very quickly despite it being fairly busy. Our waitress Rose was so sweet and had such a lovely energy that was super infectious! She made great recommendations and was overall just lovely. Will be coming back :)

Cozy place, I think we were quite early so there was no live music. The food was good, had avocado tostada for starter, which was great 👌 the steak was also good, tasted grilled. Was a bit forgotten by the waiters at the end when we were going to pay, but then people started coming in the doors, so it's understandable 😊

I booked a table in concert hall last weekend for my mates birthday, and it was fabulous. The live music really brought the atmosphere, really recommend here for celebrations!

So I was in Town to pick up my Wife from a business trip in Oxford and she decided she wanted to go out for tea so after abit of uncertainty we decided to head to The Blues Kitchen as my Wife had wanted to go for ages. So we didn't book and just turned up we parked up round the corner(As parking is limited around Quay Street) we were warmly greeted by a hostess who seated us in a booth and after a few minutes the waitress came and took our drinks order so I opted for a pint of Lager and my Wife opted for a glass of pint Noir. Drinks arrived well presented, crisp and went down a treat shortly after a waitress brought us a jug of Ice water for the table so then several minutes later the waitress came and took our food my Wife wasn't starving but fancied something to eat so she opted for a large portion of Buffalo Chicken Wings with a blue dip sauce and I ordered the fried Chicken 🍗 🐔 fries and gravy. We had to wait several minutes for the food but my God was it worth it, I have never tasted Chicken so good in my life, Honestly the chicken was amazing, decent portion size, The chicken was tender, juicy and the flavours were out of this world 🌎, The fries and gravy were also very tasty. My Wife really enjoyed her Buffalo Chicken wings with blue cheese sauce again they were spicy yet tender and so juicy and succulent, We both cleaned our plates and decided to order another round of drinks I opted for a Mojito cocktail 🍸and my Wife opted for a double baileys over ice 🧊. Service was great, polite and friendly staff, Excellent drinks, Limited food menu but the Chicken 🐔 is absolutely amazing, Restaurants was spotlessly clean, Quirky interior as the restaurant used to be a eye hospital back in the Olden days, Drinks ranging from non alcoholic to cocktails to beers to spirits to soft drinks etc. Bill was £75 but we rounded it up to £90, The restaurant has live music 🎶 most nights and fantastic experience and we will definitely be back. 5☆ 5☆ 5☆ 5☆ 5☆

My partner and i went on a Sunday night at around 7 pm and stayed till 10 pm. It was busy for a sunday really good vibes, and the Blues singer was really good he had a great tone to his voice, you could hear the set and still be able to enjoy conversation and music at the same time. The first set started around 8-9. We were seated pretty quickly for food and ordered the pork belly rib with slaw and salad. This does come with options for fries and the taco bowl. This is served in an actual taco bowl. With rice bean chicken or shrimp or both or veg option When I say the food is flavorful. I'm not exaggerating. Every mouthful is great!! We had the most awesome server. (Aljedo), i think, if you read this, im sorry. I'm terrible at remembering names. BUT He was attentive and helpful with my partners drink choices as he had a whiskey glenfiddich and a mezcal, and I had a passionfruit zombie He made our night to remember, and we had a lovely date night because of him. Good vibes - a bit loud for dinner but would be loads of fun before a night out! Food was lovely - had the pork belly, corn ribs and blackened salmon. Service was great - we got dessert and a drink on the house for my mum's birthday (dessert was warm oreo donuts and caramel dip which were delicious)!

It was a Sunday I went so maybe not the best day for liveliness... had live music on bit it wasn't that busy and the music wasn't great and it didn't last long and hardly got going. Has a big reputation and most places aren't great on a Sunday TBF but this is when I went and it wasn't great... go Friday or Saturday for a better experience

Great live music, food is good too! Went a few more times after my last review. Would recommend here for drinks and live music but unfortunately the food was quite dry for me on multiple occasions. I went for the unlimited wings on Sunday which had a variety of flavours but the wings were dry/overcooked. Went on another instance to try the bbq food but unfortunately the same for the pork and beef ribs. The staff are amazing though!

Booked over the phone for my birthday treat last weekend. I was basically treated like royalty! Our server was the wonderful Maleeha - she made our night! The food is exquisite, everything is cooked to order and the chefs do an amazing job. I recommend the Ox Cheek nuggets (they melt in your mouth), the salmon is beautiful and my husband had the best burger (cooked ro his liking). The puddings are amazing too (oreo doughnuts!!!) The entertainment was 2nd to none. The music whilst we ate was amazing and we ended up staying all night as there was a fabulous band upstairs - the atmosphere was out of this world. I don't normally rave about things but I cannot wait to go back for another night out. Prices are extremely reasonable too - which is amazing considering the food is of such high quality. If you want a full evening out that won't break the bank (unless you want it to), this is the place! All the staff are wonderful but Maleeha is definitely worth everyone's weight in gold. Tip: if you want more info on the best night to suit you, call ahead and get more info on the bands - some nights carry an entrance fee (also not expensive - around £10 depending on the bands they are showcasing). The staff will give you full info and help you tailor your evening depending on what you're into musically. 10/10 my favourite place!

Tasty food and spectacular service. The waiters were very nice and the place was beautiful.

We had a great experience at the Blues Kitchen but was tarnished a tiny bit at the end of the food service. So, service great, wife’s birthday, four of us eating and the advice and food were great. Even a couple of extras, Prosecco and Oreo donuts on the house, fantastic! Table needed after an hour and a half, no problem. Asked for the bill, which included the service charge, paid with a little bit extra on top. Then the waitress mood changed! Not sure what I’d done wrong! Such a shame as it was great to that point. Stayed for the music which is a lovely angle to the whole experience.

This restaurant is amazing. The food is out of this world. the staff are completely above and beyond and they helped to make our trip to Manchester memorable for all the right reasons. We were booked to go at 5-45pm but the theatre show finished earlier and i am disabled and unable to walk round looking for a place to sit while waiting, but they agreed to allow us to our table almost an hour early and were so friendly and lovely. The meal was out of this world. Afterwards, we were unable to get a taxi and I was in terrible pain because I had over done things really and they helped us to get a taxi and saw us into a lift and walked with us to the taxi. None of that was their responsibility yet they were charm itself and so so helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to feel welcome and looking to have a great meal in a place with a great atmosphere.

My review is a little late, (visited 2/3/2025). The service at blues kitchen was exceptional! Safire in particular went above and beyond to exceed our expectations of the food and general night. I told her it was my husbands birthday and made it that extra special! Can’t thank her enough!

Been wanting to come here for ages and finally did - was not disappointed! The place itself looks amazing and the service was fantastic. The food itself was brilliant, especially the mac and cheese which can be hit or miss at restaurants, this was the best one I've had. Cocktails were good and cheap on offer at £6 each. Good live band which added to the atmosphere but we had arrived a bit early to enjoy them properly.

I had my birthday in the karaoke room at The Blues Kitchen Manchester, and it was the best night ever! The private space was perfect for the occasion , and the Blood Orange Yuzu Spritz was an absolute winner. Our server kept the drinks flowing, and the vibes were unreal! would definitely do it all over again!

Went there for the little club night that happens after 8pm and it was a good vibe. Live band were amazing too.

We went to see Loose Endz last nite!!...Blues kitchen is overated.nothing special!!..Drinks reasonably priced. No brands. Asked for Malibu got a cheaper lethal cocunut rum version!! Although still charged the same price as i would if it was malibu. Bar is overcrowded. Everyone hoards around the stairs waiting to be 1st to get to the concert hall. No Air conditioning!!...So you dehydrate & buy more drinks!! Shocking to see how people drown in Alcohol!! No chairs...even at the sides if you wanted to sit down. You have to go downstairs to the bar. The music only came from the stage even though there were speakers at the back. There was no sound which spolied the experience. Overated venue & then to top it off Loose endz didnt even sing our favourite song 'Love Controversy'!! Unsure whether the night was worth £28 ticket. Maybe a better venue would have helped. Fries were nice.

I was at Blues Kitchen last night after an author event, I was craving the spinach dip. Our server Olly was absolutely amazing! He went above and beyond for us and had a good laugh! We were also served by a guy during a trial shift/starter shift, and he also did a really amazing job! I really hope he gets the job! Also to my fellow Americans in Manchester, if you’re missing some spinach dip, highly recommend the dip here! -it’s the closest to Chili’s since I’ve been here that I’ve found! The Taco Bowl is also 10/10!

We came on Valentine’s Day for lunch and we were very disappointed by the food. The burgers were very bland and had no flavour to them which was sad as we had heard great things. The atmosphere and venue itself however is fantastic. Would definitely recommend if you are a blues or jazz fan!

Love love love blues!!! The cocktails are delicious (especially the spicy margs) and the cheeseburger was stunning! We opted for the oreo doughnuts for desert and we have to say that they’re a must have! Exceptional service from our lovely waitress Alicia who treated us with some bubbly for celebrating our special occasion ❤️

Mud Morganfield, son of Muddy Waters live at the Blues Kitchen, Manchester. It was a great gig and the venue was excellent. The door staff were friendly, the bar staff were friendly, fast and efficient. It made the whole night very enjoyable. Recommended.

A group of us went out to Blues Kitchen to celebrate our friends 18th. Atmosphere was great. We were served by the loveliest bar tender called Harry who made our night. He’s so funny & sociable. Definitely deserves a pay rise.

Sharing Rib is amazing, Well worth the money. Service is very attentive. Really nice vibe. Seating area for eating, also a bar/ drinking area with live music.

We were late to be seated by quite some time, due to people not wanting to leave thier tables. However, once we were shown to our table, we were offered a complimentary round of drinks to make up for the wait. Order was taken quickly and the drinks served and food arrived in good time. I had the burger with the extra bacon (and I don't say this lightly) it was one of, if not the best burger I've every had. The place was quite loud but in a good way. Its a really nice place to be, I can see why the lot before us, didn't want to go. All in all a good experience.
