Food was great , but to laud and dark inside

Superb! Great setting, terrific interior design and layout, fantastic food and amazing staff! A chance decision for dinner; not disappointed at all. We were readily accommodated (short-notice booking) and very well looked after … our waitress Anais was a wonderful host! Craving for a meat feast was amply satisfied. Would definitely go again, and again - highly recommended!

Attended the live music on Friday! Had a great time and the atmosphere was phenomenal, would recommend to those that love r&b and live music!!

Unlimited Buffalo Wings (weekends) or any other order of the menu, simply amazing food and drinks. The drink menu and music is a Blues fans dream on the right days (a variety of music on different days). I'd be visiting a lot more if we were closer and perfectly cooked unlimited buffalo wings would be my new Sunday dinner!

I had an amazing evening at The Blues Kitchen in Manchester! The atmosphere was vibrant, and the live music was fantastic. It was the perfect spot for a fun night out. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy great music!

Nice atmosphere in this bar. Didn't try the food, but it looked good. Drinks were reasonable. The cocktail menu could have had a few more classics, but overall, it wasn't too bad. The music only started later on at 8 and would have been nice to have some kind of itinerary. We both enjoyed it, though, and would definitely come back.

Why haven't I been here before?!!!! Amazing place. The live music on the lower floor was amazing. Special vibe. The interior is original cool - even the men's toilets. Not tried the food but it was busy - great little booths. Went upstairs (free guest list) just to see the set up. Wow!!!!! The place is like a whole night of fun worth. Can't wait to go back, eat and watch more music fun, upstairs. Whole place is like a speak easy vibe, quirky, romantic - great for a date. Oh, staff were so friendly. Definitely on my radar now - loved it!!!!! ❤️

Great atmosphere, staff really friendly and knowledgeable regarding meals and drinks on the menu. Food was superb quality served quickly but no rush to finish. Never felt under pressure to leave the table. Fantastic live music down stairs, there is another area upstairs open later with a DJ and live music open later.

This is a great place to visit at the start of the night or as the night comes to a close. The menu is really simple, and portions are the right size to accompany drinks/cocktails. The food is full of flavour and presented well. The staff are really attentive and regularly check in to see if more drinks are required. Beer selection is good, and there is a good selection of cocktails. However, I would say that the cocktails are very strong and this can takeaway fro.the enjoyment of them. If you are booking for a 6 or more, I would advise asking for a BIG booth. We went as 3 couples and got given a booth for 6. This was really tight for space, and elbows had to be well and truly tucked in when the food came in. It also made it incredibly hot and everyone I. The group had to go outside for a few minutes to cool down. I would recommend booking for 7 even if the party is 6 to get some extra room. The live music is fantastic but not blues. Decor is great, and as the night moves on, the place gets darker and more intimate. Good mix of ages in there.

We always book here at lunchtimes with the team as our office is only over the road and the food is so tasty. Service is speedy and efficient and always leaves a lasting impression with the team. The food is always cooked to perfection so it's the perfect spot for us all.

Really good place for a Friday evening meal and some drinks. Food was delicious, great service and nice atmosphere.

Had a fantastic time at The Blues Kitchen, thanks to Jasmine behind the bar. Her cocktails were spot-on—probably the best I’ve had in a while. But what really made the night was how friendly and down-to-earth she was. Jasmine took the time to chat with me and made me feel so welcome, like I was catching up with an old friend. She really made my night, and I’ll definitely be back because of her!

Love this spot for an evening out or a meal! I’ve been here a couple of times now and food, cocktails and live performances are brilliant! The staff are always incredibly attentive as well ☺️ Definitely recommend the chicken sandwich and their buffalo wings

Food was incredible. The staff was very kind and knowledgeable about my gluten allergy. Also, very quick service. We ordered the taco bow and the brisket burger and both were outstanding! Drinks were lovely, as well (Tequila Colada!) Great spot.

Had an amazing time at Blues Kitchen in their Karaoke Rooms on Friday night - we had great service, food and love love love their cocktail menu, they're so delicious! Headed into the club night after which was so much fun. Thank you for a great evening.

A bar with live music just about every night of the week is to be rejoiced in and the tiled and dark interior is good to sink in to too. Good vibe around. Cocktails are made fresh and not batch made too so worth investigating.

What a fantastic place. I had the big boss burger. Absolutely amazing. My wife had the chicken and gravy. ( I stole half!!). Then we had the crème brûlée. She said it was like baby food on crack!! OMG!! It was good.

Stunning venue. Excellent, reasonable lunch menu. I'm going to come here much more often, now I know it exists.

We came down with the work gang for drinks on Friday night and was pleasantly surprised with their new happy hour offer! The team thoroughly enjoyed £5 pints and wine so much so that we stayed all night and headed upstairs to later on for live music. They had a special club night on which went down a treat with everyone. So happy we've found a local with an amazing offer on Friday's for the team to unwind 🙂

Fantastic experience! What a beautiful building and delicious food. I ate the St. Louis style rib and drank a mezcal mule cocktail, brilliant combination! The service was fast and attentive (maybe even a little too fast, our food came much faster than expected 😄) If I lived in Manchester I would become a regular.

Food, music & atmosphere all worth it, they do a great lunch deal and the bottomless brunch is fab too!

Great atmosphere and ambience. The food is delicious and affordable. You'd have to prebook a table to avoid waiting. The live band is such a bonus.

Poor acoustics. Beef Ribs were great. Everything else just ok. Service was good.

Love the RnB club nights on Fridays at blues kitchen! Ended up booking for a larger group to celebrate my birthday and staying the whole evening. The music and service were so good! Can't recommend enough!

It's just a very nice place with great decor. Only had drinks this time, but we will definitely be coming back here to try the food and the live entertainment.

I have been here for a live music event which was great, the atmosphere is great and cosy, drinks are a bit pricey. I had a meal here too, steak and eggs and it was delicious! However it was £18 for 2 eggs and 3 tiny slices of steak, it tasted amazing so it was worth it! Service is always super friendly and welcoming and the lychee martini is my fave!!

Came here for a work meal and had the £10 lunch menu (or £12 if you have a milkshake or booze). I had the brisket dip sandwich and peanutbutter and oreo shake. The brisket was a little fatty but was still very delicious, loved the combo of the brisket with the gravy to dunk the sandwhich in. I drank the shake so fast I've never had a tastier milkshake before 🤩 Atmosphere was good and the server was friendly throughout our time there. Will be coming back here again 🌟

This is an excellent venue for a bottomless brunch. The live music is brilliant, everyone was having fun, dancing along. The waiter kept our drinks topped up and the food was delicious. My only gripes would be that It’s extremely dark in there, could barely see the food i was eating and the bottomless starts really early at 1145. Otherwise everything was perfect.

Martha was great, she was so attentive and helpful, we couldn’t get a table however she gave us the option to chill at the bar for a little bit until one came available she made sure we were served straight away and our drinks order was sorted, great staff super friendly, blues should be proud to have you :)

We came to blues to celebrate my brothers graduation last week, we ate in the restaurant then moved to the bar area to enjoy the live music plus £6 cocktails on a Wednesday was a great treat! Staff couldn’t do enough for us, can’t wait to be back!

Horrendous!!! Really really really poor attitude from door staff! A couple on their honeymoon wanting to enjoy some nice music and turned away for being 'too drunk'!!!!!!! #smallmansyndrome!!!!

Went for a bottomless brunch live band was great although sadly think this was the worst bottomless brunch I've been to in Manchester. Choice of warm prosecco or a watered down rum punch which tasted like juice. Not enough staff serving with with the amount of people there so took ages to get a drink and was sat waiting for ages between them . Was only served 2 prosecco and 1 rum punch . Wouldn't book one of these again tbh , disappointing.

Had such an awful experience here tonight. Advertised on social as a free Rihanna tribute night that me and my family looked forward to for celebrating my birthday. Got there to find out the start time of 7pm that was advertised was just the entry time and we had to wait 2 hours until 9pm for the live show. We were then told we couldn’t sit where we were as the seats were reserved, there was nothing listed on the dice app that we booked through regarding reserving a table otherwise we would have done this. We then stood and waited, received awful service at the bar where other people were being served before us whilst we stood waiting. One staff member even told us there wasn’t a Rihanna night happening and another told us there is. I then enquired when it would be starting when it hit 21:10 and was told the Rihanna night would not start until 22:30 and that the DJ plays first even though it said three Rihanna set was first. We then left because we did not want to wait that long standing up at a venue with poor service, bad attitude from staff that provide misinformation and don’t even know what is happening at the venue. What a poor establishment, some serious training is needed in the customer service department and organising of events. They even up charge on the drinks. Appalling

Such an incredible energy to this place. I have visited a few times over the last few months and the drinks/service is always great. The live music never fails either.

The door staff were absolutely awful to our group on Saturday. We split into groups of 4 as we knew door staff would be difficult. We were in Hawaiian shirts and the staff said we did not meet dress code. We were the last group to try to get in so they had already let 10 of us in wearing the same shirts. Shame that 2 guys with an ego on the door stopped us having a good time here.

With Jesse as our server, we all had an amazing night. Jesse’s service was top class, and the food was outstanding. Would 100% recommend to anyone.

Honestly a very strange customer service experience eating dinner here earlier tonight! Booked a table for 8.30pm, arrived a little early and sat for a drink waiting for our booking time. At 8.30pm we went to the restaurant desk and said about our booking. They said the table wasn’t ready but they would come and get us when it was. We went back to our table at the bar area and waited. 15 minutes later went up and asked again about our table. Staff still said it wasn’t ready despite there being around 3 empty booths. About 7 or 8 waiters were working in the restaurant area but were just aimlessly walking around it seemed, or just standing there, and kept avoiding eye contact with us. At almost 9pm we were finally seated (at a table which had been empty since just after 8.30pm). Very strange to be honest and we thought it was rude! The point of booking a table is to be seated at a certain time, even a 10 minute or so wait is fine, but almost half an hour is getting a bit ridiculous. Despite this the waiter who served us once we were seated was lovely, and the food was really decent too. But I probably wouldn’t be back due to the overall experience!

It was a Saturday tea time and it was full. Very loud but soon got used to the atmosphere. Good food and great service.

I've been here twice now, after 9pm, on Thursday both times. Not had food and don't know if they do any. It was very busy but the service was quick. Live music on which was brilliant, the singer was excellent.

Ótimo restaurante para curtir uma noite agitada em manchester. Importante fazer reserva, fomos em um sábado e estava bem cheio porém fomos acomodados no horário da nossa reserva com tranquilidade. Atendentes muito simpáticos e solicitos, o hamburguer estava MARAVILHOSO. Vale super a pena a visita.

On my first night in Manchester, I’m really impressed by the atmosphere at Blues Kitchen on a Wednesday night. Great vibe, great band, and really good cocktails at a decent price (discounted on a Wednesday). It is obvious to me as a musician that this venue has cultivated a little community. Thanks for making my night!

My friend and work colleague found a £10 meal deal for this place so we went to try it this lunchtime. I had previously been for dinner at one of the London sites and really enjoyed it so had been wanting to try the Manchester site. The decoration of the place is pretty dark, but beautiful and in keeping with the age of the building. The service was great from start to finish and the food was really nice and great value and was enjoyed by all 6 of us. There was a decent amount of choice including two Vegan options. I would certainly go back for this deal, which is great value even with a tip.

The staff here are so damn rude and insecure and unprofessional. Also it's over priced, and the food just doesn't cut it.

Went for food first visit, sat in restaurant but close to small stage in the bar, enjoyable atmosphere good food, band were also great. Went upstairs to a gig last week also good atmosphere, good bar, sound was well sorted.. really good event...will be going back for other gigs here.

This place was a total surprise for me. I have been passing by this place but never tried it. My friend and I went there one week day and I was totally blown away by the food. It was pure amazing

Can't fault this place! Amazing atmosphere, all the staff go the extra mile and I love the live jazz music!! Would definitely recommend coming here for the good food - their mac and cheese is amazing. I always get the ribs platter for two! The live jazz music starts from 8pm downstairs and they also have a massive dance area upstairs with more live music which was great for a Saturday night boogie 💃 Will never stop coming back to this place!
