What a vibe! First step in the door, and the staff smiled and immediately made us feel welcome. Food was delicious and cocktails only £6 on fridays. We didn’t have time for dessert and we mentioned we celebrated birthdays this week, and was given dessert to take home. Imogen was super friendly and made time to chat with us! Great addition to your team! Give her a raise or promotion 🤪 The band who played was also great! Visited on 30/05. Also the interior , is crazy cool.

The quiz tonight was mediocre. Tables so cramped, you could barely move, tried finding my way to the bar to be told there's table service, had to ask the quiz master where this table service was because no one had come to our table that's for sure... Quiz was very long winded no need to take minutes announcing a music round, count the scores halfway, or for a 20 minute break, or to treat us like kids, just move on. 12/15 of us didn't stay until the end as it just took too long. The answers also contained errors such as Andy 'Hindley' allegedly being a 1990's Manchester United football player, nowhere to be found on the Internet 😂 asked the quiz master, he couldn't provide the evidence either. This was the wipe out round as well so quite important to get this right. The vegan burger was delicious though.

Had an absolutely amazing meal here with my wife for my birthday, food was quality, staff were so friendly and attentive, and the venue is very cool. We were going to go elsewhere after our meal but decided to stay to listen to some live music and then didn't leave until the end of the night after too many cocktails! The live band were amazing! Definitely my new favourite place in Manchester.

Karaoke was great today, loads of songs, loads of drinks and a great server (i think her name was yummy), also Jesse on the host stand was amazing getting us in on such short notice and a shout out to Matthew on the bar for the great recommendations on drinks! Loved the plum margarita!!

The food is delicious! Quite pricey, so good to go now and again. Staff are always very friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is nice. There are no windows, so it can be disorienting going from sitting in darkness to going back outside on a sunny day. Overall 100 recommend. Saw a night of Sade as well here recently in the upstairs venue and that was great! Wish there would have been chairs, as it was a long night, but amazing nonetheless.

Uncomfortable experience. After clearing stating I’d pay the subtotal of our food and not the service, the waitress then asked who was paying the rest of the service charge after payment was made. Made it extremely awkward for me and my partner - then asked why we didn’t tip, and she would have to feedback to the manager as he will be asking - something I’ve never heard before. Poor communication skills from your workers, there’s a cost of living crisis.

Had the most incredible time in the concert hall for my friends birthday! The Margaritas were unreal and the music kept us on our feet for hours. It’s 100% worth booking especially if you get the V.I.P booth ❤️

Descending upon Blues Kitchen Manchester on a Sunday night was like tripping into a bourbon soaked fever dream soundtracked by the soul of a New Orleans alley cat. The live duo, a drummer and male guitar-vocalist summoned a groove so potent I felt like a viking mongoose on cocaine and my balls were vibrating to the funky beats. I was in a swampy jazz dimension, the atmosphere had me riding the phantom trail, eyes wide, hips twitching, soul dangerously alive. Decor wise, it’s voodoo lounge meets deep fried nostalgia; a place where time forgets itself and orders another whiskey sour. The chicken was crisp, the crowd was loose, and the energy was like Barry White's ghost trapped in a lava lamp. I'll return if my spirit animal demands it, and he probably will, the filthy soul-jazz maniac. Five weird stars out of a parallel five.

Running a good restaurant is often more about who you employ than the food or the atmosphere. Unfortunately, today’s experience was deeply disappointing. After I mentioned my allergies and asked if a certain ingredient was present in a dish, at least three different waiters made jokes at my expense. While this might be seen by some as “British humour,” mocking someone’s health concerns is both unprofessional and disrespectful. Even the moment of receiving the bill turned into another uncomfortable exchange. I strongly urge the management to reconsider their hiring standards — no matter how good the food is, rude and inconsiderate service ruins the entire experience.

The atmosphere is certainly a selling point, with unusual lamps, stained glass on the ceiling and live blues. However, it would be unfair to single out just the atmosphere since both the food and service were great, too. For some reason the menu had a recent change to serve salmon without any potatoes, so much of an oddity that the server did mention it at point of ordering. The dish definitely needs to go back to how it used to be, with some potatoes on! A lot of ice in cocktails is usually a bit of an expected standard, but the mocktail that we ordered also had a daft amount of ice. I'd have expected a mocktail that's proliced the same to have a bit more actual drink in it. (However this was quickly rectified!)

Was served by a dashing man called Reece who served from our food to karaoke. He took care us and always checked up on us if we needed anything! Just want to give him props for being so caring! Hope he sees this x

Great cocktails, very busy on a Saturday night but great atmosphere. Friendly mixologists and lots of bartenders and servers taking table orders and clearing glasses.

Our server, Reese was absolutely amazing, he made sure we had a solid rotation of drinks at our disposal and dropped by often to make sure we were satisfied with both the drinks and the food (which also happened to be delicious). Only downside is that they’ve drastically reduced the Bottomless Brunch food offerings. Though the menu still says ‘Choose one dish from our Brunch, Sandwiches or Salads’ you can only get the beef burger, taco bowl, chopped salad, vegan burger or two of the brunch options. Very disappointing especially since the crispy chicken sandwich was a fan favourite. Because of the reduction in food offerings and very limited drinks to choose from as is, I’d probably recommend going somewhere else

On a business trip and tried to visit the bar for the good review as used to live in capital of blues music in St Louis, and didn’t let me in because I was alone!!!! No single entry !!

We had the best time! My friend and I went for food and a long overdue catch up and from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, our service was outstanding! We were made to feel so welcome and appreciated - I’ve been to Blues Kitchen several times before this and the customer service, food & atmosphere is always fabulous but on this occasion it was especially spectacular! The host on the door, Anjola was so wonderful and personable - she gave us a real good giggle and chat whilst she got us seated and our server, Alicia was just so friendly, kind, attentive and just made our experience feel like a VIP one! Needless to say we’ll be back ☺️

I organised my leaving do at Blues Kitchen. Because we were a big group (20 people or so), I got in touch to see if I could reserve a space. They let me book the Concert Hall for free and then we reserved a private room for karaoke. It goes without saying that I had the best leaving do I could've possibly asked for. The service was impeccable, the atmosphere cosy and chill. A member of the staff was in charge of looking after us all night and in general the staff was very kind and helpful and always trying to accommodate our requests. They even let us use the karaoke space beyond the booked time, as the group who booked after us didn't show up, with no extra charge. Everything went perfectly and everyone was happy with the choice of the place, but, most importantly, had fun. Thanks for making my leaving do so special, I would definitely come back for future events!

We got the bottomless brunch, the food was sooo good, but the choices in the menu items had been downgraded. While the bottomless advertised the entirety of the sandwiches section, we found out it only counted 2 of them, and the salads were also only 2 items. The drinks options were also very limited in the bottomless and were average at best. The best thing however, was the service. Reece was our server and he was the highlight of the entire night, we would go again just for him, he made the entire experience of easier and more fun than it would have been without him. He gets a 10/10 review from our entire group.

Came in here just for drinks - a fantastic selection of carefully crafted cocktails. The bartender makes you feel very welcome and performs his craft right in front of you - well worth the price. Will definitely be back for more including food which looks great! Came again nearly a year later for some drinks before food elsewhere, great for a quick drop in too.

Delicious food, incredible drinks from Tyler, Josh and Victor, and amazing service from Anna, Alicia and Anjie. The popcorn squid is incredible!

Food was tad pricey for what you got and not much selection. The online menu had changed from the one we were provided, which now didn't have the lunch for £10 option that drew us there.

Great service! Barrel beer can flat twice but something must have been wrong with the pump. Didn’t charge so all good. Wings to start were ok, nothing extraordinary not special. Quite think on the meat. Tina tostadas were great as usual. Chopped salad was fab. Fried chicken , gravy and fries again were maybe not different to a middle ground chicken shop. A lot of batter, minimal chicken. Gravy was cold and chips tasted like they had been half fried, then re fried. Hard and not crispy. Service was excellent as usual.

Had the worst experience at blues kitchen last night, head bouncer decided to not let one of my friends in because he jumped over the gate which is clearly understandable but then he proceeded to deny the next 7 of our group with no explanation, he then proceeds to make my female friend cry by calling her names such as boring, tired etc. I then had to go and try speak to him in a normal way but the guy was just straight up lying and provoking our group even letting random strangers shout at us, calling us pricks etc, honestly in all my life of living and going out especially at blues kitchen , never has this happened before, the complete disrespect and lack of morals when dealing with clubbers is insane, we understand your job , if you see something not right u dont let that person in but to then deny the next 7 people and then when asked you refuse to give a reason and start calling us names and then even pushing one of my friends, its too far, this isn't how a bouncer should act especially a head one, never had a issue with any of the security at blues ever before until the head guard decided to be a nasty person last night, even after explaining it to random people they all agreed the guard was almost racially profiling the rest of the group because what reason do you have to deny a whole group for what one person did, I've never been refused and treated like that at any club until last night, very dehumanising experience, do not suggest clubbing at blues kitchen.

I love The Blues Kitchen. Mostly go for drinks/gigs but the food is great too.

Popped in completely spur of the moment in passing and so glad we did. Had the £9 lunch menu and the burger was delicious. Food was hot and plenty of it as well. Such a quirky cool place would love to return. Highly recommend. Staff were all lovely.

Me and my friends/family were at Blues Kitchen on Saturday night for a joint hen do with me and my partner. Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely waitress and all the staff were lovely. The room was ace and had enough room to dance and sit if you wanted! There were loadssss of songs to choose from, really felt like it was our own little party!!! Some members of the group got food and enjoyed it. Really recommend and would 100% go again.

Great place, only popped in for a quick snack. Had a couple of drinks and shared a plate of chicken wings, a bit spicy for me (not a chilli person). If you want a meal best to book first.

Slightly dfferent vibe to the Blues Kitchens in London, for the better. Gig room upstairs is good. Drinks expensive-ish £7ish for a pint, £11ish for a cocktail.

Came here for a concert so I can't really comment on the food quality. However, the atmosphere they created and the service provided really made my time here worthwile and worth the price of admission

I recently visited Blues Kitchen Manchester on a Monday evening while in town on a business trip with colleagues. As a regular at the Shoreditch and Camden venues, I had high expectations and I’m happy to say the Manchester team absolutely lived up to them. The food was on point, the service impressively quick, and the overall vibe of the place was buzzing for a Monday, on a cold windy night up north! It was great to see the venue full and lively, adding to the atmosphere. Special thanks to the on-site manager, who handled a small issue with professionalism and fairness a real credit to the team. Looking forward to coming back soon!

What a great place! Every table was taken, so shows its popularity. Even though it was busy it was well staffed and run really well by attentive and friendly staff . The decor and the feel of the place was a definite vibe. We ate there but there was also seating at the front for drinks only. The food was nice enough. ( We had chicken sandwich and a cheeseburger)No complaints. Would definitely recommend and would return as we just loved the feel of the place. We weren’t there when the live music was on but there was a stage where they regularly have people playing.

Came here to see a gig, bar was busy but not crowded. Staff were relatively attentive, and polite. Like the place, will be back.

Cozy place, I think we were quite early so there was no live music. The food was good, had avocado tostada for starter, which was great 👌 the steak was also good, tasted grilled. Was a bit forgotten by the waiters at the end when we were going to pay, but then people started coming in the doors, so it's understandable 😊

So I was in Town to pick up my Wife from a business trip in Oxford and she decided she wanted to go out for tea so after abit of uncertainty we decided to head to The Blues Kitchen as my Wife had wanted to go for ages. So we didn't book and just turned up we parked up round the corner(As parking is limited around Quay Street) we were warmly greeted by a hostess who seated us in a booth and after a few minutes the waitress came and took our drinks order so I opted for a pint of Lager and my Wife opted for a glass of pint Noir. Drinks arrived well presented, crisp and went down a treat shortly after a waitress brought us a jug of Ice water for the table so then several minutes later the waitress came and took our food my Wife wasn't starving but fancied something to eat so she opted for a large portion of Buffalo Chicken Wings with a blue dip sauce and I ordered the fried Chicken 🍗 🐔 fries and gravy. We had to wait several minutes for the food but my God was it worth it, I have never tasted Chicken so good in my life, Honestly the chicken was amazing, decent portion size, The chicken was tender, juicy and the flavours were out of this world 🌎, The fries and gravy were also very tasty. My Wife really enjoyed her Buffalo Chicken wings with blue cheese sauce again they were spicy yet tender and so juicy and succulent, We both cleaned our plates and decided to order another round of drinks I opted for a Mojito cocktail 🍸and my Wife opted for a double baileys over ice 🧊. Service was great, polite and friendly staff, Excellent drinks, Limited food menu but the Chicken 🐔 is absolutely amazing, Restaurants was spotlessly clean, Quirky interior as the restaurant used to be a eye hospital back in the Olden days, Drinks ranging from non alcoholic to cocktails to beers to spirits to soft drinks etc. Bill was £75 but we rounded it up to £90, The restaurant has live music 🎶 most nights and fantastic experience and we will definitely be back. 5☆ 5☆ 5☆ 5☆ 5☆

My partner and i went on a Sunday night at around 7 pm and stayed till 10 pm. It was busy for a sunday really good vibes, and the Blues singer was really good he had a great tone to his voice, you could hear the set and still be able to enjoy conversation and music at the same time. The first set started around 8-9. We were seated pretty quickly for food and ordered the pork belly rib with slaw and salad. This does come with options for fries and the taco bowl. This is served in an actual taco bowl. With rice bean chicken or shrimp or both or veg option When I say the food is flavorful. I'm not exaggerating. Every mouthful is great!! We had the most awesome server. (Aljedo), i think, if you read this, im sorry. I'm terrible at remembering names. BUT He was attentive and helpful with my partners drink choices as he had a whiskey glenfiddich and a mezcal, and I had a passionfruit zombie He made our night to remember, and we had a lovely date night because of him. Thank you, Blues Kitchen 💙

It was a Sunday I went so maybe not the best day for liveliness... had live music on bit it wasn't that busy and the music wasn't great and it didn't last long and hardly got going. Has a big reputation and most places aren't great on a Sunday TBF but this is when I went and it wasn't great... go Friday or Saturday for a better experience
