Great food, great host, altogether great!!

I’ve been to Honest Burger a couple of time whenever I crave for a good burger, but I made this review specifically for their Truffle Raclette Beef burger which is the special menu for this month until mid-March25. I think that the usual beef burger is okay, it’s not like overly special, HOWEVER the truffle sauce is definitely the champion. You can really taste the truffle in every bites as it’s distributed evenly in the burger. Just a bit sad that the rachlette cheese was not as stretchy as I expected. In overall it’s sooo good. Whoever come up with the idea to collab with truffle guys need a raise❤️ Also the fries 😍 you can also taste and smell the truffle from them, like they dust some truffle powder of something on top of it 🎉

Burger du jour with raclette and truffles was amazing. Perfectly cooked in a deliciously toasted bun, the truffle content was just enough to introduce their unique flavour without overpowering everything else and the crispy onions had such a satisfying crunch! All the wait staff is friendly, prompt and dare I say it, heckin' cute! Definitely the highlight of the experience. Beer selection is also quite varied and high quality. Had more than one, even though I shouldn't have... For sure coming back when I'm back in Manchester.

Bruh… for the price I paid for this (approx. £20 each), it highkey sucked. I was expecting it to be in my top 5 burgers for that price, but I don’t think it would even be in my top 50. The meat was super tough and almost clumpy. The taste of the meat didn’t pull through, only an overwhelming salt/seasoning taste. The build quality was lacking, with poor assembly. The sides also sucked - the fries were small and scrappy. The onion rings were dripping in grease/oil. I just finished it and feel kinda sick. Honestly, there are much better burgers around. Even Five Guys is better. I’d recommend you go somewhere else if you are spending this amount. The service was fine and the staff were all lovely. I’m gutted because the reviews were great, but the food was not. Sorry guys, I won’t be back :(

Update on review below. Clearly the owners are onto a new push to make Honest Burger great once again. The food has once again improved tremwndoulsy, new ideas on the Menu and in general everything looks better. Since doing a Crowdfund to raise money, everything seems better glad they have done something about it and it seems to be working well. Well done Honest Burger **** Update on review below written in April 2019 Unfortunately after continuously visiting this restaurant over the last 3 years, I have to downgrade my original 5 ✨ to 3 ✨. As much as I am a great fun of this chain, the restaurants are looking tired and neglected. The food isn't as great as it was when it was first launched and the premises themselves are very worn. This particularly reflects in the washroom /toilettes. Once visiting them you question if you actually want to eat there. Wondering the hygiene in the kitchen. Sorry Honest Burger you were once the king of all, now you are mediocre and I will struggle to recommend you to anyone until ypu up your hame once again. Your beef deserves a lot better on the infrastructure side. The 2 owners need to be on the vall here as the same pattern is happening in Cambridge. This must be one of the best burger places in the UK. They are big in London and have another restaurant in Cambridge and some more South of England. Their Vegan burger is absolutely excellent supplied by Beyond Meat. Some people say their well known Rosemary chips are too strong but in reality once you taste them you will want more. This restaurant in Manchester officially opens on Monday 15th of April 2019. Today (13th April 2019) is for friends and family as staff is training and getting ready for their big opening day. At the moment great atmosphere good service...one thing they haven't got coat hangers on the main floor and their music perhaps too loud as I'm finding myself having to shout across the table..but hey no complaints...as the whole nights food is on the house as they are promoting themselves. Bargain....

Had the Christmas special, camembert burger, chose the chicken one. Came with bacon and cranberry sauce. Chip, 1 side and a drink for £20. It was beautiful! They forgot my side so asked our sever about it, think she was stressing with a large table she had because when I did ask she didn't look happy. Still, it didn't affect my experience too much, I know how hard server roles are! Highly recommended any time of day, a new special every week.

Best flavoured fries and onion rings I've ever had.

Not to bad had the chicken pesto burger it was quite small to be honest, chips were nice. Got the £5 off for first meal so was worth it to be honest.

Dined with colleagues. Mentioned there was a shellfish and mustard allergy ordered smash burgers which contained mustard. Waitress did not mention anything. We did not pay full attention but clearly neither did waiter or anyone in kitchen as she did apparently note down allergies when she asked but did not realize 3 burgers ordered has mayo mustard. Allergy is not life threatening but causes enough discomfort. Pay more attention

Consistently outstanding burgers that never go too far with the toppings. Perfectly cooked beef. Stores and staff are always great. You always know you're going to get quality whichever one you visit.

The truth is that the place is very cool, the atmosphere is great and the waiters are very friendly. The food was very very delicious.

Me gusta que su carne es molida en su propia carnicería por lo que es fresco y capaz de ser servido rosa, que es bastante inusual en estos días. El Sr. Burger fue increíble. Suave y jugoso y sin duda todavía un poco rosa por dentro y exactamente lo que quería. Sazonado bien y sabroso. Me encantó la combinación de los diferentes quesos, y el bollo también era muy fresco y suave. Muy buena cantidad de papas fritas de romero (dentro en el precio) El servicio fue rápido y eficiente. Recomendaría encarecidamente este lugar para hamburguesas increíbles, y perfecto para un almuerzo a mitad de semana con colegas debido al servicio rápido / tiempo de cocción. Sin duda volveré!

Came here for lunch with some work colleagues. Nice simple menu with interesting burger toppings. I had the special which had the different Cheddar cheeses on. I like that their meat is ground Inn their own butchery so is fresh and able to be served pink which is quite unusual these days. Mr burger was amazing. Soft and juicy and most definitely still a bit pink inside and exactly what I wanted. Seasoned well and tasted great. Loved the combination of the different cheeses, and the bun was also really fresh and soft. Very good amount of rosemary fries (inside in the price) Service was quick and efficient. Would highly recommend this place for amazing burgers, and perfect for a midweek lunch with colleagues due to the speedy service/cooking time. Will definitely be back!

The food and service was great, it came quickly, my daughter had a gluten free burger which she really enjoyed. The table was a bit grubby and it was quite expensive, but there were plenty of people in the restaurant including us willing to pay the prices.

Very good and clean food, meal was satisfying, not greasy at all, but when we asked the waiter for the bill and told her that we’ll pay by cash, she replaced the bill with another one which is much expensive, i don’t want to get into her intentions but, it didn’t look like it was a mistake at all.

Honest Burger is a favourite brand of ours but unfortunately they have no branches in Scotland yet, which means we visit them when we go to cities that have them, this was our first visit to the Manchester restaurant and it was the same as the ones we've visited in London & Liverpool etc, this was a very busy branch, we went on a Saturday night but still got a table and quick service and the same great food that we enjoy so much, heartily recommend everyone to try and honest Burger at least once, you won't be disappointed

He ido allí tres veces y cada vez que entro una camarera te gritará desde cualquier lugar (incluso mientras atiendes a otros) que te quedes en la puerta; para que te valoren Dios sabe para qué antes de que te sientes. En este día en particular estaba con mi hijo y la camarera hizo su grito agresivo habitual. Después de que nos aprobaran para sentarnos, nos sentamos allí durante años, tanto tiempo que tuve que ir al mostrador para pedirle a la misma camarera que viniera y, por favor, tomara nuestras órdenes. Creo que la gente debería ser tratada mejor que eso. Conozco muy bien la hospitalidad y había sido gerente de front office durante 8 años antes de unirse a NHS. Lástima que el personal necesite un poco de capacitación para pagar caro a los clientes leales. CC 101 : ¡No grites a tus clientes!

Food tasted like it was re fried, very greasy and the coleslaw didn’t taste fresh at all.

I’ve been a fan of Honest Burgers since my first visit in London back in 2020, and over the years, I’ve had the chance to visit several locations, with the Manchester one being my go-to spot. The quality of their food has always been top-notch, and the seasoning on the chips is fantastic—it keeps me coming back every time. One of the standout features of Honest Burgers is that it’s one of the few places in town that offers gluten-free burgers and chips, which is a huge plus for us since my husband is allergic to gluten. This has been the main reason we’ve loved it for so long. During the pandemic, we would often order from them on Fridays as a treat, but sadly, they’ve since reduced their delivery range, and it no longer reaches our home. It’s a bit disappointing as it was one of our favourite ways to enjoy Honest Burgers. Additionally, during my last visit, I was a little disappointed with the size of the burger, which felt smaller than usual. While the food is still delicious, I’ve noticed a significant increase in prices. Our recent meal for two adults and a child ended up costing over £40, which makes it hard to justify as a regular outing, even though we love the place so much. It looks like Honest Burgers will be more of a special occasion treat for us from now on.

Desafortunadamente la terraza no estaba abierta cuando visitamos, pero estaba bien. Inicialmente mi pedido de un 'completamente simple' no se entregó correctamente y luego cuando lo fue, estaba bastante crudo por dentro, no a mi gusto. Personal amable, un entorno agradable, pero no volvería.

Good burger. Beef patty is thick and juicy. Sauce is mixed well that gives you a surprise. The bacon is so good and the crispy oninos adds a beautiful touch to every bite

Nothing honest about this place. The photos are misleading as to portion size via uber eats and when food arrives it is extremely underwhelming had a beef and bacon gravy pot with 2/3 of the gravy missing the burger was extremely underwhelming was meant to have Sriracha and other sauces on burger, but could not taste them as for the size of the burger. It did not display the same as in the photos at all, the onion rings were just ring batters with no onion inside and the buffalo wings had no sauce on them whatsoever and could have been mistaken for plain wings. The only saving grace with the wings was the little tub of cheese and chive dip that came with it otherwise would have just been plain wings, The portion of chips were even worse little nibble bits of chips squished together to make a small portion and fit in the box with the burger felt like I ordered a portion of chip scratching rather than actual chips, extremely disappointed and feel ripped off for the price of the whole meal very underwhelming

All the team are on it here, really passionate about their restaurant, the customer and working together as a team. Kitchen are clearly on point as the food was faultless (so tasty). A great reasonably priced little burger place in the city centre. It offers a range of burgers with rosemary fries. Great for gluten free burgers, my partner is coeliac and ate there with no problems. Just note that at times out is very busy and as they do not take bookings this can lead to a period of waiting, they do however have a bar which you can sit and have drink at.

Had a good burger, beer and chips here before going to a concert. The food was delicious, and could cater well for my Mum who has coeliac disease and needs gluten-free food. The service was a bit slow, but really friendly and welcoming.

A nice rustic interior with delicious burgers. As someone who rarely has beef burgers I was still enticed by both the specials with my husband and I shared. Not a great deal of service due to the casual style of dining but everyone seems friendly. Looking forward to going back in warm weather to try out the sun terrace. Mainly beef burgers on the menu but even if you usually stick to chicken you should give them a try!

The place is beautiful and creative

Very tasty double smash burger, though it was a bit greasy on the bottom which meant I had to eat it with cutlery. I picked it up at first and almost had a disaster as it tried to escape from my hands. I enjoyed the coleslaw which was nice and crunchy and a bit tart, and offset the delicious fattiness of the burger well. Prices are what they are, this came in at £13.20 which does seem a bit pricy to me in spite of being amongst the cheaper options. That said, it was definitely nicer than a standard fast food, and I'd pay it again. Service was super friendly and very efficient. I liked the extra touch of the tap water with ice and a slice of lemon.

Great atmosphere to the place, and love the fact it’s an open kitchen. Staff very polite and helpful. The food was stunning. And would highly recommend the bacon gravy as a side, which is ideal for dipping your burger or fries in. Would highly recommend especially if you’re wanting to get away from standard chain restaurants.

Honest burgee has always been great. First time ordering over UberEats- unfortunately the quality is disappointing. Not only was the food cold on arrival but the quality of chips provided was embarrassing. They had given me all the scraps. If I was served this in the restaurant I would have sent it back. Disappointing.

Visited on a Sunday around 7pm, it happened to be the Euros final which England are playing and it was empty so we had no problem getting a table! Food was delicious as ever and the ICONIC gravy was absolutely ELITE.

I was torn between the special: fried chicken truffle burger or the honest burger. I chose the special because it’s limited edition, but was left with a slight disappointment. The chicken was a bit dry and it was actually a bit too fried, so hard to bite into the chicken. The truffle itself was really strong and the chips were nice. However would have preferred a truffle beef burger or just a beef burger instead. I would stick with the beef in the future. The service was also a little slow, we had to wait a while before we saw someone to get the bill.

We arrived vvv late on Thursday night after a work conference and a little worse for wear. The staff were clearing away and we're well within their rights to turn us away, but they accommodated two of us and fed us when we were in desperate need. Rather than seem miffed that we had extended their shift, they had some great banter about them. They really looked after us. Hope their boss sees this review cause they where honestly superb and a credit to the business!!!

12 days of us ate here after they very kindly sought us a table last minute due to some complications with a booking elsewhere. As a hen party visiting the city for the first time the team here are a credit to what they do. They saved our whole day! And to be ‘honest’ the food was utterly incredible. Some of the juiciest burgers and the friendliest team I would come back to the city again just to eat here. Thank you team. From one hospitality worker to another you guys are amazing!

Honest burger was our 2nd stop on a birthday 'burger crawl' and it didn't disappoint. Had the Chilli Honest Beef burger and wow... what a TASTY burger!! Honest burger proclaim that they finely chop, rather than mince their beef in order to preserve moisture and flavour; and they're definitely onto something. They're not the biggest burgers around if you've got a big appetite but my word, they are delicious. Their seasoned fries are scrummy too! 5 mouthwatering stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Dined here on a Sunday afternoon. The service was pretty amazing. We tried the Rum Collins and G&T from the cocktail section, both were well made. We tried the double smashed beef burger and pesto chicken burger. Both the burgers were outstanding. However, we weren't very happy with the rosemary chips that were served with the burgers. The chips were definitely double fried and only a few of them were finger sized on the top,all broken small pieces which had sucked in so much oil that we had to leave half of it towards the bottom layer. We also tried the buffalo wings, I would rate it a 3/5 but the slaw that was served with it was good. Overall, it was a good experience but a little overpriced.

Excellent gluten free comfort food!

Personally I am not sure why this place has such good reviews. Maybe today was an off day for the chef and the team. Chips tasted like they had been cooked in old vegetable oil. The burger had also been fried in vegetable oil also which just made the meat taste slightly strange. The top floor has a large outdoor area to sit, unfortunately the industrial grade extractor fans pump's smoke everywhere and the volume is horrendous. Finally the two male waiters looked very worn out and frustrated. If people look that unhappy at work, it just raises red flags. First time and last time for me unfortunately.
