Absolutely fantastic Greek restaurant! The pittas were the best I’ve ever had — so fresh and flavourful. We shared a mix of starters for the table and every single one was delicious. Portions were more generous than expected, so 1–2 per person is plenty. For mains, just be sure to ask about the veg sides, as you might need to order extras depending on the dish. The atmosphere was brilliant — warm lighting, amazing scents, and unique decor made it feel really special. Big shoutout to our waiter, Ibby, who was friendly, knowledgeable, and great fun. Would thoroughly recommend for a memorable meal out!

Food and atmosphere was amazing as always, and Ibby provided excellent service. However, I unfortunately spilled a (£15) drink after only having a few sips, and none of the staff noticed nor offered to bring a new one after we had let them know. We asked for another and were charged for the second one too - was slightly disappointing as the original drink was pretty full when spilled and as a generally clumsy person, I've had many other restaurants replace spilt drinks free of charge. Despite this, we still had a lovely meal.

Excellent service. No wait. Seated on chef’s table. Great atmosphere. Cater to allergies. Used restaurant’s WiFi and QR code on menu to open allergen menu - which showed specific allergies, and from which we could identify foods that we can eat - including halal options. Chose beef fillet and wife opted for sea bass fillet. Both were well cooked. Unfortunately there were neither options nor alternatives recommended from dessert menu so we gave it a miss. Surprisingly, when paying bill, manager came over and gave us complimentary chocolate sorbet with meringue pieces. Service above and beyond.

Had a great time at Fenix! The tuna truffle tartare was amazing. Seriously delicious. Laura, our waitress, was super kind and professional. Made sure we had everything and gave great recommendations. Can’t wait to come back!

An incredible bar great atmosphere paul was amazing explaining the menu and very attentive to us. Service was quick and drinks were delicious. We also had the mezze board which was very nice.

It was my birthday, and I had been looking forward to celebrating with my boyfriend. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely. However, I was deeply disappointed by the unprofessional service we received. Most of the staff were unwelcoming, didn’t smile, or even make the effort to ask us about food allergies. This is unexceptionable and so unprofessional and I’ve never received this bare minimum service EVER since I’ve lived here! Only one person stood out positively was the gentleman at the reception, who welcomed us warmly and was the only one who smiled. Unfortunately, the attitude of the other staff, especially the man with glasses and brown hair, made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. When I paid the bill, instead of politely guiding me on how to use the card machine, he tapped the device forcefully twice which came across as extremely rude and disrespectful. To be honest, it made me question whether we were being treated differently because we are Asian. I came in excited to celebrate, even thinking of ordering dessert and more dishes, but your staff’s behaviour completely changed my mind. This was meant to be a special day. Instead, I left feeling upset and disappointed. I will not be returning, and I truly hope you take this feedback seriously to improve your customer service

I recently dined here for a special occasion with my girlfriend. While the food and atmosphere were lovely, we were disappointed by the unwelcoming service from most staff. Only the gentleman at the reception was friendly. The lack of attention to allergies and the abrupt manner of one staff member during payment left us feeling uncomfortable and disrespected. Unfortunately, it overshadowed what was meant to be a special night. I hope the restaurant can work on improving service standards for future guests.

Our waiter Theo was amazing, we had excellent service all night and was very attentive. His food recommendations were spot on and really made our night ☺️ amazing food and atmosphere 10/10.

The venue is beautiful very relaxed, almost too relaxed service was quite slow, chicken was extremely pink and set back this was apparently due to the cooking method this was changed fairly quickly though the rest of the food was ok extremely overpriced though £11 for a non alcoholic drink thankfully we had the lunch deal if we had ordered al a carte and paid those prices we would have been disappointed.

First time visit and will definitely be returning. The food was absolutely delicious as is the decor and atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive. Had a wonderful time.

Great atmosphere but if you’re looking for authentic Greek food then this is not the place for you. The service and atmosphere, however , is spot on for a fancy meal.

Very disappointing to be honest We had 2 cocktails 1 x porn star that was good 1 x old fashioned that was tiny 3 sips and it was gone I think that was £16 We went for the the set sharing menu the middle of the road one We were given 2 pitta breads that was no where near enough We were then charged £4+ for 2 extra On the main menu we had 1 large prawn that's it and 1 tasteless octopus tentacle so we had to cut them in half , The rest was just pasta and rice with a tiny bit of pulled beef It was just about OK So in summary 2 cocktails 1 x bottle of the cheepest wine on the menu and the set menu came to just under £270 Iam lucky enough to be able to eat in this type of establishment but I certainly would not return unfortunately I was so looking forward to it as well 😪

This review is for Gluten free diners. If you’re Celiac forget this place. I was out with family on a joint birthday meal with my wife, daughter and her boyfriend on the Saturday just gone. Now being Celiac I expect my meals to be not exactly what I would love to eat, but more working out the best solution of what there is that I can. 🤷‍♂️. I explained to the waiter that even though I have celiac and would look to be eating anything gluten free, I wouldn’t be bothered if items were described as could be slightly contaminated with wheat etc. So first up drinks, no gluten free Larger, no Cider so it was water or wine at £47 a bottle - house. Starters, I went with the meat balls which were fine albeit tiny but very tasty. Main I asked for the Lamb Shank but with potatoes and not the Pasta, which he replied we can not do that as the menus couldn’t be changed.This due to the Pasta being cooked in the juice of the Lamb Shank, but I didn’t want the Pasta .🤷‍♂️ Ok So I had the Steak with potatoes, he returned and said you can’t have the potatoes, but can have mushrooms. I agreed as I didn’t want to sound like someone who just moans. Which I’m not, I never leave reviews etc. The meal came and I asked for a steak knife, we don’t have them here replied 🤷‍♂️. So I was left using what I would describe as the tiniest knife ever. The knife did cut the Stake, though which was good, but could it cut the mushrooms (no way). As hard as I tried they wouldn’t cut in size so I left the whole portion. Coffee was fine 👍. (Give the wine a miss though) The three other meals were all good, so it was just mine wasn’t what I’d expect paying over £300 including the service charge. If I were the manager I would seriously look at drink and food options for gluten free eaters, we don’t chose to have this allergy. This review is to help gluten free eaters make a choice to eat here. What would have been the hardship of serving me the Lamb which two others had and enjoyed with veg or potatoes. You should work with you guests, audience no matter what. I will never return as there are two many decent restaurants in Manchester who would have helped out. Paul Kidd

This place really looks incredible We wanted to pick somewhere special in Manchester that we hadn’t been before for a special occasion Phoenix has really spared no cost in doing this place up. It feels very much like you are in a really nice hotel abroad somewhere while you were inside. The downstairs is really lovely and up a few steps you reach the upstairs which is really well lit This place really feels like you are in Greece on holiday in amongst the caves We are a Muslim family and we needed somewhere that serves halal food We were very impressed with the fact that their waiters are all very well trained on what dishes are suitable for a Muslim audience They even have their own Muslim menu, which is completely halal The food is cooked separately and prepared separately with zero alcohol used I was very happy with this We ended up choosing items off the lunch menu where they have a great deal for either two courses or three courses The aubergine starter was amazing And the spicy chicken was really tasty as well. I definitely recommend going to this place for some yummy food. The only thing missing was we had an ordered any side dishes as we just assumed that the fish and the chicken and the steak came with sides but it is probably important to book some side dishes from the menu as well luckily we ordered them after the main courses had come and they arrived quite quickly The staff here were really really friendly. I’m very hospitable.

I enjoyed my meal at Fenix, the hosts at the door were welcoming, sparking conversations while they got me sorted. I loved Juans service as he was very kind and was always checking in on me ans accomodated to my dietary requests. Food was great, very tasty stuff, got my starters within around 7-10 mins and mains around 5 mins after i was done with starters. I was seated by the kitchen and the design of the open kitchen resulted in the dining room smelling alot like smoke/food which may be unpleasant for some people. Other than that I would no doubt return 😁

I visited FENIX in Manchester after seeing it frequently on social media. The atmosphere looked amazing, and I was excited to enjoy a nice drink and capture some moments with my friend. However, from the moment I walked in, I felt extremely uncomfortable. I noticed people giving me looks, and even the security standing outside made me feel out of place. Despite that, I decided to stay because I genuinely liked the vibe and ambiance of the place. But as soon as I held up my phone to take a picture, the manager approached me and told me that taking photos inside the restaurant was not allowed. He addressed me in a way that felt unnecessarily harsh and disrespectful. It was honestly upsetting — I came to enjoy the setting and take a few pictures, just like many people do. Being spoken to in that manner made me feel unwelcome and judged. I’ve never experienced this kind of treatment anywhere else, and I found the policy (and the way it was enforced) to be very disappointing. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning. This experience left a negative impression, and I hope the management reflects on how they approach and treat their guests.

After having to change our reservation time the staff were extremely accommodating and we then had Max as our waiter who recommended us some of the best food we have had in Manchester.

Saskia served us and was amazing, very attentive without being intrusive. Food is very good but desert missed the spot.

Enjoyed our visit here the interior is gorg & they do have halal food options however did run out of the chicken which was what we wanted to try, servers were nice & helpful - they do add a service charge, would go back for a small dinner! I recommend the chicken skewers, pitta bread & calamari.

To begin the atmosphere is incredible. The decor divine. We have dined at Fenix on three occasions . We make a point of returning each time we come to Manchester. All of our previous visits have been stellar. We are well aware of the way in which the food is served from small plates to shareables to mains. We also know that food comes staggered. However , the reason for this lower rating was our incredible disappointment with the length of wait time between our shared appetizers and mains which was almost one hour. As well as the quality of the mains when they did arrive. Our server was very pleasant but we did not see her for nearly 45 minutes . By the time our main course came we were less than hungry and the ribs which are usually dynamite were sub par and warm. The risotto was just okay. We didn’t receive our sides with the mains and I asked that they not bother by this point as we had already been there 1: 50 minutes. The server was kind enough to take the sides from our bill. The purpose of the review is just to encourage the manager to address any issues they might be having with the kitchen as it took away from what would’ve been an otherwise amazing evening and had our serving making excuses for the kitchen. Not something a restaurant of Fenix’s caliber should be doing.
