The place is really nice and has a nice atmosphere however I was really dissappointed with the amount of food provided. We were told we had to do a sharing menu as we were a party of 7 even though we were advised our party could do al carte at the time of booking For starter my share was a single meatball and a single piece of calmari, We had a single plate of hake the size of a deck of cards for main to be split between 7 people. The ratio of portion size to party size seriously needs to be looked at

I was really looking forward to dining at Fenix, especially since I booked my birthday dinner a month in advance to ensure a special evening with my sisters. Unfortunately, the restaurant failed to accommodate us on the day, leaving me scrambling to find another place last minute to salvage the night. What made the experience even worse was the behavior of the receptionist. She was incredibly rude and unprofessional, showing no empathy or offering any apologies for the mix-up. Instead, we were hurried out of the property as if our concerns didn’t matter. It’s such a shame, as the restaurant itself is beautiful, and I had high hopes for the evening. However, if the staff are this unprofessional and dismissive, it completely diminishes the experience. I’m truly gutted that I didn’t get to enjoy Fenix as planned, but based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a place with reliable service and respect for their patrons.

My lovely friend took me here for my birthday and it was such a treat!!! The food is gorgeous, and the atmosphere and setting was perfect. I was mainly impressed with the waiters knowledge of what is halal on the menu ... I was given a full explanation of what I could and couldn't eat and why. This is inclusivity at it's best! Me and my boyfriend came to Fenix for our anniversary and it was such a beautiful experience! The inside of the restaurant is absolutely stunning, such a classy and relaxed atmosphere. Our waiter Kieran was so attentive, lovely and helped to recommend some dishes and drinks to us. The food was spectacular, the drinks were inventive, fun and delicious and we had such a wonderful time! We appreciated the anniversary sorbet too! Would definitely recommend!

Very good experience at Fénix this evening. The dishes were all very good, I had a great time for my boyfriend's birthday. Special mention for the bouncer who was adorable.

The food was sublime, and the service was amazing. The decor is beautiful too. Special thanks to nick, Kieran and juan who all made our evening truly special. Plus the bar man who made us smoky medusas! Can’t recommend this place highly enough 🤩

I have coeliac disease and prior to visiting the restaurant I emailed to check they can cater for coeliacs, which I was told yes they can make items on the menu gluten free. I travelled from Sheffield to the restaurant, when I got there I scanned a bar code and put in my allergy, which resulted in me only being able to eat a piece of steak with no sides. I spoke to the waitress about this who was lovely however did not know that as a coeliac you cannot eat mustard which contacts wheat. This meant the kitchen could not offer me any other food other than a piece of steak on a plate, they couldn’t even accommodate some potato’s because they told me the seasoning wasn’t gluten free. I’m not sure how a restaurant which is supposed to be highly rated doesn’t know that mustard contains wheat. Very poor, another restaurant that has no clue about coeliac disease and even told me they can cater to me but can’t. Please do not visit if you have coeliac disease, I was also charged full price for the piece of steak with 0 compensation.

We loved the downstairs for drinks very much. The Christmas decoration upstairs was cute but made that side of the restaurant very very bright and kinda killed the vibe a bit. Great food. Had a lot to share but the Orzo langustine was disappointing. 34£ for two tiny tiny tiny bits of langustines. The rest was lovely."

Had the most gorgeous evening celebrating our anniversary last week.The food was incredible, genuinely up there with the best I’ve eaten. Fabiana was so warm and welcoming and made the whole experience 10/10 - super attentive and suprised us with a little treat after our meal. Queen. Cannot recommend Fenix enough! x

Myself and my partner visited for a late lunch yesterday. I had high expectations from what I had seen of pictures of the restaurant and food, I wasn’t disappointed. Firstly the aesthetics of the restaurant and interior is so beautiful, as soon as you walk in, you can see the attention to detail, it honestly feels like you’re not in rainy Manchester, the service was amazing, we were served by Fabiana - she was really helpful with recommendations and the food was stunning, every dish we had I couldn’t fault. Lastly the atmosphere for me was just perfect, it was pretty busy for 3:30pm with music however I was still able to hear my partner and enjoy my food - I find nothing worse than really loud places when I’m trying to socialise. 100% will be returning. Thank you for a gorgeous experience!

Visited for special occasion, well worth it for the exceptional food and cocktails alone, but on top of that the staff were excellent and the atmosphere was bob on.

We visited Fenix to celebrate our anniversary, and I’ll admit I had some concerns that it might be all style with little substance (like other trendy spots in Manchester). However, the food exceeded my expectations! The flavours were outstanding, and the service was top-notch. As first-timers, our waitress offered some great recommendations, and they absolutely lived up to the hype. Each dish was worth every penny! A thoughtful touch was the little anniversary plate we received at the end of our meal - it made the experience feel even more special. I’m already looking forward to returning. The only thing to note is that we came on a Saturday evening, and the music in the bar area can get quite loud. If that’s not your vibe, I’d suggest visiting at a different time, but overall, the atmosphere was fantastic!

This is one special place, the food, service and atmosphere were all amazing. Only our second child free date night this year so we pushed the boat a bit and treated ourselves. A special mention to Lydia who looked after us at the table, very helpful and friendly, thank you 😊 The guy at the bar was also excellent but didn't get his name.

Wow this restaurant was stunning! From the outside to the inside the decor is incredible and it looks absolutely beautiful. We were served by Saskia, who was fantastic, and was super helpful with explaining the menu and giving us recommendations on what to eat and also wine choices too. She was brilliant from start to finish and so friendly and welcoming. The cocktail I had was probably one of the best cocktails I’ve ever drank.

Another wonderful meal, surprisingly quiet but it was a Sunday afternoon early evening. The lamb shank is epic and great cocktails. Once you get into cocktails, wine and food it can get pricey......

Bad Service & Food Poisoning Was really excited to try this place and brought friends out to celebrate a special occasion. We had to wait 30 minutes after our reservation start time to receive our table which we didn’t mind at first it was the service that followed that was terrible. We waited over 20 minutes to be served soft drinks, 30 minutes for our starters and 45 minutes for our mains, they were clearly overbooked and couldn’t handle all the orders. We also weren’t updated with the delays to any of our food and only seemed to receive things whenever we prompted multiple servers. To finish it all off, we were originally really happy with the food which balanced out the bad service but unfortunately I woke up today with food poisoning from what seems like undercooked “glazed coca-cola chicken”. Had huge potential and sad I had to leave this negative review.

Food, service and atmosphere were brilliant upstairs, our server Saskia was super friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu and was able to make superb recommendations for us. Felt the service downstairs was lacking slightly, we arrived early and were offered a place at the bar, we waited for our drinks, and then to be updated that our table was delayed and sat waiting at the table with empty glasses for a little while then was expected

We booked our 5 year anniversary meal here and were served by Saskia. She was incredibly attentive, kind and was genuinely a very nice girl who was clearly very good at her job. We never write reviews, but made sure to for our experience at Fenix. Food was delicious but made all the more enjoyable because of our waitress!

It was a great experience, as a person who does not usually visit places like this I can say without a doubt that it is worth saving up to go at least once. The aesthetics and design of the restaurant is a marvel that leaves your mouth open from the moment you enter until the moment you leave. The food and drink is of exquisite quality with a combination of flavors and textures meticulously made to create an explosion of flavor (at least in the dishes I ordered), I make special mention of the non-alcoholic options in the cocktail repertoire that have nothing than envy their counterparts. Now the service and attention without any complaints is more of a compliment to the waiter Juan who served us during the evening, with excellent recommendations and care to ensure that our experience was the best possible, plus he was Spanish-speaking and Venezuelan (where my family comes from) It gives you an extra that you want that is not worth much. In conclusion, I cannot recommend it enough, an experience that one should live at least once in their life. a hug to the team of waiters and waiters, my most sincere applause to the chefs and my thanks for the opportunity.

The whole experience included expecting the waitress who made a joke with us and made the experience amazing for my sister birthday. I'll be honest the places is worth the prices it more on the experience side the only Floor I found was that the Portion sizes were extremely small.

Excellent, we have been very well served by one of the waiters who speaks Spanish, Juan, we have really felt listened to and they have made sure that the entire evening was perfect. Excellent atmosphere, food and experience, all for a modest price of course, an investment in the palate, a taste for the experience.

If you’re going here for aesthetic it’s great! Place looks gorgeous! However the customer service here is appalling. One server in particular was disturbingly rude and directly gossiped about my table in front of us to other staff claiming us as “picky” when we asked for drink recommendations… I don’t think it was unreasonable asks as we were just curious. We notified such behaviour to other staff and they just said to email a complaints side of management and ignored us. Food was alright. So if you’re coming here the only nice thing is decor. Don’t expect good service.

Our visit to Fenix was nothing but amazing. Our waitress Issy could not have been better, her service was second to none. She kept our glasses topped up all afternoon and gave us the best recommendations as it was our first time dining with them. The food was unreal and beautiful. They even gave us a lovely gesture at the end as we were celebrating our anniversary.

Fantastic food, friendly service, lovely decor and atmosphere. We shared a selection of the meze dishes and they were all delicious and beautifully presented. Our waitress, Lizzie, looked after us so well. Would definitely recommend.

Came here for a friends birthday, lovely restaurant and atmosphere. Took a while to get seated but everything that came after made up for it. Thank you to Emma, Lydia and Liam who looked after us and gave us recommendations as it was our first visit here. Gorgeous food and drinks, can’t wait to return back again.

This place was not easy to find. It is tucked away off a busier road, off Quay Street in Manchester there. The food in my opinion was nice, like I've enjoyed at other places and there were enough vegan choices for me. However, this venue was expensive for for both food & drinks and arrived in smaller bowls, so when I left, I still didn't feel all that full, because of the smaller portion sizes, because the food was in smaller plates anyhow. A glamourous place to eat and drink, but not sure why they chose the Flintstones type carpet in there though?

Came here for my birthday, absolutely loved it. On the pricier side, however service and food was immaculate. The atmosphere and views are incredible - Lucy our waiter was super lovely, polite, explained each dish in detail and was very accommodating. She recommended we try the set menu and it was lovely. Will definitely come again for the great service and food!

Very nice and modern restaurant. We loved the Greek food, it was not typical greek and very modern and new. We loved especially the pasta (Paccheri with beef). The restaurant is expensive but the atmosphere is amazing

Recently went there with my wife to celebrate our wedding anniversary (which we mentioned in the reservation). Unfortunately, we had an overall negative experience and would definitely not recommend anyone goes there to celebrate a special occasion. The food, apart from the tzatziki which tasted really good, was heavy and did not suit either of our taste (which we did mention to the waitress, only to be told a generic “oh well”). Additionally, while every table around us who were celebrating something received a little treat, we never even got a “happy anniversary”, which made it feel just like a regular night out. Not that we would normally expect something special to happen, but seeing that everyone around us received special attention made us feel even worse. Overall, just another “fancy” and totally overpriced instagram-focused restaurant UPDATE: after contacting the restaurant via email more than a month ago, I have received no response or further communication so my guess is they didn't "conduct a thorough investigation" as they said they would

Wow, what an experience. My friend and I visited Fenix last night, we’d heard from other friends how good it was and from all the amazing pictures and interior we have seen our expectations were really high. We were blown away - first off, Lydia - who served us during our time there, you were outstanding - attentive, knowledgable and made us feel like we were the only people in the busy restaurant - that is talent! The food was amazing, we both had the lamb shank and a few starters to share. We continued downstairs for drinks and again, the team were outstanding. I also understand the restaurant is beautiful and everyone wants to tick the social media box, but we really appreciated security asking people to turn their flash off and beauty lights off, it is distracting and unnecessary (maybe I’m just getting old) but the security did this to people in an extremely polite manor. Cannot wait to visit again!

We went for dinner on Saturday evening around 8pm. There was a lovely atmosphere and it wasn’t too busy. We were served by the lovely Issy. She made my birthday a very enjoyable experience and the food was 10/10. X

Laura was our waitress fit the night she was most helpful, friendly and charming , she made sure we were if the effect or allergens of lactose in the food, and she made sure we were aware of any potential issues and we had a great evening, 👍👍 Also the pastry chef explained how he made the chocolate sorbet so heavenly, Best Paul H

Really gorgeous restaurant, the atmosphere is beautiful from the decor down to the scent - and that’s not just the food, which in itself is incredible. The waitress Issy was lovely, really personable and attentive, made our visit and knew the details about birthday celebrations, brining out complimentary sorbet. They say they serve halal chicken but half of their dishes have alcohol in. Don’t get the tzatziki as it too… has alcohol in it! The portion sizes are tiny… so, I recommend you eat beforehand. If this is how the rich and bougie eat… I’m glad to be poor 😅 Taste overall was decent but £14.00 for a sparrows portion isn’t it.

Absolutely amazing - best tzatziki I have ever had, plus gorgeous aesthetic and service. Biggest shout-out goes to Issy though, who was simply the best. Particularly friendly yet professional. Working in the airline industry I would happily recruit her - she is an asset to Fenix.

This is a gorgeous restaurant with a super cute bar area downstairs. Our waiter Tom was amazing. We ate the set lunch menu which was stunning. The complimentary pita, houmous and tzatziki were excellent too. We had champagne and then a glass of a Greek wine. My only niggle was that the bubbles could have been a little more chilled. We didn't feel rushed although the restaurant was busy. This was a Wednesday lunchtime. Total bill for 2 was £144.50. This included service which we were happy to pay. I will definitely return .
