Hotpot in general is good food for cold and wet weather. But this hotpot itself I think is just okay. The vegetable soup is rich and light. The tomyum doesn’t really taste so tomyum. The price is reasonable for a hotpot.

The taste is very good, there are also brains to eat, and the service attitude is also very good. Recommended

Actually blown away by the service I received here last night! The food was great but the service was so unexpected, the servers were so attentive and friendly! At one point I expressed to my friend the food was spicy and a server immediately handed me a glass of ice water which they continuously came to replenish without me asking. The food is tasty, the portions are generous, and the atmosphere is fun. My personal favourites are the thai style chicken feet, chicken wings, and cucumber salad! They clearly had the A team working last night because everyone was an absolute delight to interact with! Great job guys! 🌞

Definitely one of the best hotpot in manchester! Must-go for anyone visiting manchester. A wide selection of meat/veggie/seafood selection and also soup bases. And the best part is none of them disappoints!! Ingredients used are of quality and tastes authentic. We tried some of their appetisers and dessert as well, not a single miss thus far! Aprons are provided to prevent staining your clothes too (we know how messy hotpot can get!) which really elevates the customer's dining experience. Overall really highly recommend No.8 to people who are seeking for a great hotpot place 👍🏻

Staff were so lovely and explained everything so clearly for us, and the food was amazing - we had the mild Szechuan soup and it was quite spicy but really tasty. Would absolutely come back again. It was quite busy so recommend booking in advance.

I finished work two days ago and today I remembered to comment. I must not let go of this cancer. Xiaohongshu recommended it. When I came to this restaurant to eat, I didn’t expect that this would be the beginning of my nightmare that day. I just stepped into this restaurant and I felt I feel unwell and I have bronchitis. The air in the restaurant is obviously very stale, like entering a stove. A hot pot restaurant has not done basic ventilation. The weather that day is already very hot. Who knows? In this day and age, the restaurant doesn't even provide air-conditioning, so it's barely bearable. The hardest thing to accept is that the food looks like linen, and the butter pot is unsightly and unpalatable. It's extremely spicy and has no other taste. Dogs would rather eat it. Go home and use water to cook other food, which is average but not worth the price. It seems like you have been robbed. Don’t be deceived by Xiaohongshu. Don’t persuade me to quit. This is a big mine. In this environment and this level of food, it is useless to charge a service fee. Unfortunately, I would rather eat subway. For Chinese food, the Jiaoxiang restaurant next to it is much better. My family will definitely not regret going to Hongqi at this price. Who knows? This is the age

I made a reservation online for Saturday and found out today that their store is really popular and it was always full within the two hours we ate. Although the store is quite busy, the service is still in place and the food is of good quality and worth recommending.

First time going to this restaurant for food I have the mentality of giving it a try and I don’t have high expectations. But I personally feel that the overall quality is very good and the greetings are very good. There is a clerk A who is attentive and explains clearly. I will take my friends to eat next time

It’s hot today to Monday. Kelvin arranged the seating and provided attentive service. He recommended the Australian Wagyu beef to be soft and smooth, and the seafood platter, especially the squid, was smooth, the tiger prawns were also chewy, and the pangasius was surprisingly tender. There are also shrimps that are as smooth as chewy. The delicious spicy butter soup is paired with the store's fresh ingredients. I will definitely come back.

I hesitated for a while whether to write this feedback. I understand that doing business is not easy, and it would also be a waste of my time and energy to write a complaint, but in the end I decided to simply write down why I gave one star. My daughter likes hot pot and says she eats it once a week, so she found this restaurant near where she learns to play musical instruments. After class ended, it was already past 7 p.m. The time options for booking a table online are limited, so we first chose the nearest time of 8:30. Because the waiting time was a bit long, we went to the hot pot restaurant early to try our luck to see if there were any vacancies. We arrived at the hot pot restaurant at 7:30, and we were first in line. There were two couples behind us (they said they had not reserved a seat). There were two tables in the restaurant that were empty, but the waiter (whose names I won’t mention) told us that both tables were empty. Reservations have been made for 7:45 and 8 o'clock respectively. They have to wait until that time. If the reserved customers do not come, they can give up their seats to other customers. Because it was a bit late, I asked the waiter to think of a way to give us one of the tables first. The waiter went in twice to ask the manager or owner, but finally told us that no, they had to wait until after those two times. So we had to go out and wait. Unexpectedly, as soon as we walked out, they talked to the two couples behind for a while and directly let them sit at one of the tables. I told my daughter that the two people had already gone in and sat down. She still didn't believe it, so she ran over to see what was going on. Then she came back and told me: They had indeed gone in and sat down at one of the tables. The daughter asked why they could go in, it was unfair that they did that. . This is what I would say about the experience. The system is formulated by the company's management. Is it humane? Business path? Customers come first, or money? Maybe this is what people in society often call bullying of disadvantaged groups (children and women). In fact, I haven't eaten much hot pot for most of my life, but we still live a good life. No matter how delicious it is, I probably won't patronize this dishonest hot pot restaurant again. So I give it the lowest possible star.

I went to go have HotPot but the Waiter (Kelvin) said there were no tables available but once I left, the 2 people behind me got a table and they didn’t reserve one. I went back and then Kelvin said there was a walk-in table!

Staff were helpful and patient to assist and recommend base on your preferred taste. I couldn’t highlight enough how amazing that satay broth with pork, sliced noodle, fried tofu skin, mushroom and prawn mash! Craving satisfied indeed! Portions were good enough to share between 2-3 people.

This was our first ever hot pot experience and the staff were so helpful and took their time in explaining every dish and their reccomendations. We ordered the perfect amount of food. The Wagu steak was really reasonably priced and it was delicious!

It's the best hot pot I've ever had in Manchester. The tomato soup has a rich base. The meat here is fresh cut, not frozen, and the quality is better than any other. The staff Jennifer is very friendly. Some suggestions: Looking to add new dishes, such as duck intestines. In addition, I hope that the ventilation of the store will be better, cos it could be very choking when there are many guests.

Service on Saturdays is deteriorating. The first is a charging error. I went there twice within a month. The first time, the food was not served. I found out after I paid the bill and the money was refunded. They urged us to leave as soon as possible because it was already two hours. We didn’t understand why there was a time limit as we still had dishes to finish and it wasn’t a buffet hotpot. The second time, I got the wrong drink and the wrong dish. At the end of the check, I found that coconuts were charged twice. The continuous errors make people have to wonder if there is something wrong with the bills that were not looked at carefully before. The second is that the service attitude is declining. The previous service was very good. They would actively observe the guests' tables to see if they have run out of paper towels and whether they need to add soup. Now you have to ask for it before it can be given.

The service attitude of the restaurant service staff was very good. They were very considerate and solved any problems for us as soon as possible. The food is also very delicious and very fresh. It is very good to be able to eat such quality in the UK!

Overall very Friendly staff, sat near the door which made us all very cold in the evening. Beef rolls were very un pleasant dry and tough. Got home with stomach pains all night 3 days later with my stomach still being tender won’t be visiting a hot pot ever again. Rather to go a restaurant where they cook the dishes for you which is safer and hygienic. Expensive for what it is when you cook it yourself.

Great vegetarian options. Been twice and loved it every time. The waiters are extremely friendly and helpful to guide us. Both times we had a mixed pot: on one side as chilli oil and the other side as mushroom. The chilli side is blow-your-socks-off spicy. I like hot food, this can really take your breath away so only order it if you're the type of person who puts extra chillies on your chillies. You've been warned! It is very tasty and the burn is slightly addictive. The mushroom broth is delicious. The two ingredients that I'd recommend are the highest for vegetarians are the fried gluten and the mushroom platter. Beyond that there are loads of tofu options and make sure you get noodles and 'Chinese greens' (a bit like Pak choi). My family love the lotus hearts and shredded potato. Extremely good value for money and loads of food. You can always order more once the pot is bubbling and they topped up our soups multiple times.

Despite not having a reservation, the staff was incredibly accommodating and managed to secure a table for me. Gals and guys you literally don’t understand this was literally so delicious I can’t. There wasn’t one thing I didn’t like . The staff were so lovely and welcoming u felt so comfortable and looked after. the prices are also amazing and that coming from a broke teenage girl. If you don’t come here have you even lived ? I’ll answer that one for free : no you have not. Just trust me on this one babes it’s like a god was making my food it was so quick and it the best thing I’ve ever tasted. Perfect date spot for all the cheeky lovers and would recommend for a juicy gossip sesh to. First time for my husband, he loved it! I found it hard to choose the ingredients and despite the staff being super helpful seeing the actual item was helping me much more. We loved it but consider going as 3-4 people and spend like 30-40 per person to experience as much as possible :) I would have loved buffé option like in Beijing.

Nicht das, was wir erwartet hatten. Aber sehr toll gemacht und mit hohem Erlebnisfaktor. Personal erklärt auch nicht-Asiaten alles sehr gut und es machte Spass, hier zu sein. Die Kleider muss man anschliessend waschen, die Lüftung ist nicht gut.

I love their hotpot broth, especially the clams one. Their cuts of meat just melts in the mouth. I don’t usually get the pork but the Iberian pork was nice. I also love the prawn paste that are homemade and nicely seasoned. I like it for the quality, compared to other hotpot places.

It is my first time having coconut water chicken soup hot pot and the chicken can be chose with bone or non bone chicken. it is very tasty and highly recommended 👍👍👍 also the meat are fresh and the services are very good, they are very patient and professional to serving us, they will tell us when the meat are ready to serve.

We traveled all the way from Newcastle, honestly, the food was amazing! I'd totally recommend the Liberia pork slices, beef shanks, and wagyu, not to mention the coconut chicken and the Sichuan spice mix pot, you won't find these meats for hotpot anywhere in the north. The service was fantastic too. They were super quick with our food and super patient with the explanation and the recommendation of the food to its finest to me and my boys, With such great service and food, the price is totally worth it!

这家店俾我个感觉真的很亲切，因为系广东人，所以普通话唔好，但店员即刻就换成讲白话嗰。而且店里唔止有辣锅，仲有椰子鸡和菌汤，非常合唔食辣嗰人嗰口味，价钱都配得上菜品和服务质量。下次一定会再来，并且推荐给其他的亲朋好友！

The food was brilliant, well presented, and a lot of care had gone into the preparation. The downside to this restaurant was around the price (quite high for a hot pot) and the additional costs added for the sauces/spices. The standard tends to be a collection of different ingredients that you can use to make your own dipping sauce - at No 8 you had to purchase individual ingredients at a high cost.
