10 Tib Lane in Manchester

Had a great time at 10 Tib Lane in the city centre. The staff were super friendly and really on it – made us feel welcome straight away and gave us some solid food recommendations. The food was spot on. Everything we tried was full of flavour and looked amazing too. You can tell they put a lot of thought into the menu and the ingredients are top quality. The vibe of the place is really cool – kind of cozy and stylish without being too fancy. Nice lighting, good music, and just a relaxed atmosphere overall. Great for a night out with mates or a date. Definitely one of those places you leave already thinking about when to come back.

Got a last minute reservation last night and every aspect of the meal was wonderful. Our server Gabbie was so fun and helpful and when explaining the menu. Everything we ate was perfect - we especially enjoyed the grilled leeks and the chicken with truffle corn. The Nettle Martini was also delicious and delicate. We’ll be coming again!

Don’t have the steak. I ordered it without noticing the price. I practically choked when I saw the cost on the bill - £58. It came on its own on a plate. Cold. There was an icecream scoop of bearnaise butter (not bearnaise sauce) which spread cold on the already cold meat. The taste was ok but nothing to write home about. There was a large bone sitting next to the meat for decoration. It sat stinking under my nose for ages because they didn’t clear the plates. This was my second time there. I love a good restaurant so I know what to look for. It has such potential but both times I came away thinking that it was over priced and that I wouldn’t go back. Can we have more restaurants in Manchester that serve good food at affordable rates rather than either cheapish bad quality food or massively expensive niceish food. There’s a gap here.

Fabulous experience for my birthday dinner. I am still thinking about the whole experience a week later. I had two cocktails which tasted fresh and delicious. I would recommend the 'Have you ever?'. The service was great. Staff were friendly and explained the menu in a lovely way. The food was delicious. We started with some oysters and then had five plates between two. I had dessert because I really wanted to try the rhubarb and custard tart. I am glad I did. Thank you for a great evening and making it worth getting a babysitter :-)

We had a lovely evening meal and the food was pretty good. Service was a bit unprofessional and overly friendly- the waitress sat down with us to take our order. The skate was good and the cured sea bream divine. Pork was not amazing- a bit tasteless and not melty enough. Music could be a bit quieter but atmosphere overall lovely. We enjoyed ourselves well enough.

Didn't have food, just cocktails. So nice ended up having 3! Lovely staff and atmosphere. Went in Happy Hour, so great value. And their original cocktails were superb!

First time we had booked here and not disappointed. Table all ready, our little rescue dog was well accommodated. So glad to have somewhere else to eat out and bring her with us. Food was, without a doubt, some of the best we have had. It was so good we ordered dessert which was mouth watering. Staff relaxed, friendly and so helpful. Excellent menu executed well and with some of the finest service we’ve experienced in the UK. Recommend: cocktails, oysters, venison tartare, cured sea bream, leeks We landed here for some afternoon cocktails and oysters on our first night in Manchester (on holiday from Melbourne, Australia). The cocktails were perfectly balanced and the oysters were as fresh and delicious as any I’ve ever had before. We left to go explore some other venues but decided to come back to 10Tib Lane for dinner because we were so taken by the quality and the service. I cannot pick out a single dish as being the best, because they were all exemplary. Every element on the plate felt intentional and served its own purpose in the dish. We were simply blown away by every single thing. Our waitress, Gabbie, was also excellent. She knew the menu very well and offered the perfect level of input and expertise. She was charming, genuine, and knowledgeable. Beginning to end, 10Tib Lane was exceptional. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.

10/10 would recommend 10 tib lane. The staff and service made our casual Tuesday cocktails feel like a vibrant Saturday night. The venue is beautiful and the atmospehere created by the staff feels very warm making the experience even better. Amand crafted the most exquisite cocktails. Massive thanks to him, Dylan and Fran for being so welcoming and accomdating of our indecisiveness. The food looked incredible, although we didn't order anything but olives, they alone were so tasty, so we will definitely be back for a meal. I don’t normally write reviews but my whole experience was incredible and I just had too. I brought my mum here because we both love oysters and she was visiting me in manchester. From the second we stepped in the service was lovely and the whole restaurant was so beautiful with a lovely ambience. The food was beyond great I would 10000000% come back and the oysters were a definite highlight. We got a lovely bottle of the house white and the artichoke, leek, pork collar and oysters and can’t fault any dish whatsoever. Will definitely be back thank you all so much! Xxxx

Was in the mood for champagne and oysters so popped in for a bite. 12 oysters & glass of French MDC for £48. Sat at the bar, staff were friendly. Oysters were good but not the best I have had in Manchester.

Had the Sunday roast here - succulent roast chicken, crispy roast potatoes. The veg was cooked perfectly - my favourite was the red cabbage- perfectly sweet and paired so well with the gravy. My mum had a customised mock tail which she said was lovely. Very friendly and efficient service. Cosy, bistro esque ambiance across a beautiful 3 storey building. 100% recommend.

Outstanding meal for a Birthday. We had family visiting from Birmingham and this was my recommendation. Went above and beyond. Loved it. Service was amazing.

10/10 This place is my favourite restaurant in Manchester. I’ve been here a few times now and have brought friends/ family when they’re over visiting; every single person I’ve gone with has the same reaction to the food, the service, the location… it’s the most fresh, tasty, gorgeous food you’ll have. The menu changes up regularly so you won’t get bored of what’s being served! Can’t wait to come again soon 🤩

Wow what a wonderful eating experience, all designed for sharing so we ordered a starter and main each and were served each independently with two sharing plates, making it like tapas and an overall amazing experience. Great food, amazing service and a lovely restaurant. The rattle snake cocktail was just wow 🤩 definitely recommend this place 😘👌

food was amazing, prepared and delivered quite quickly - was warned on a longer wait time on the pork however it really wasn't that long. To be honest kind of think the tapas thing is overplayed in Manchester at the moment however there is option to order a large plate and then sides if you wanted a more of a 'dish' instead of tapas. Not listed below but pork was 10/10. Service was excellent and staff very friendly. Appeared to also get on really well together which was a joy to see as helps the atmosphere. Lighting was also very good and a great romantic outing this valentine's day.

Nice intimate bar, happy hour runs from 4-6pm and offers £6 cocktails and delicious £1 Oysters, served with lemon and tobasco.

One of my new favourites in Manchester! The food was exceptional—some of the most tender, flavourful meat I’ve had. I had the pork collar and sirloin steak, both generously portioned, so you’d only need one extra dish between two. The menu is unique, and everything was beautifully cooked. The staff were lovely—friendly, chatty, and even gave me a complimentary glass for my birthday, which was a great touch. My only suggestion would be to swap the candles for small table lamps, as it’s a bit too dim to fully appreciate the menu and food. Highly recommend—can’t wait to return!

GOAT status when it comes to roasts. Top tier decor and service on top of this makes it a no brainer.

We visited as a group of 4 so decided to order 13 dishes between us to share. Dishes which stood out were the butternut squash and the beetroot. The rest unfortunately didn’t deliver the wow factor that other similar restaurants offer. Given the price we walked away slightly disappointed and still a little hungry. The cocktails we tried were great and the vibe is lovely!

Ordered two of the sirloin steaks mid rare. Both came shy of well done. Very tough and fat cap not rendered. Other smaller dishes were pretty average.

Is no longer a beer cafe with a good choice of beers. That's why we went one door further. This says nothing about the quality of the food served in this restaurant, which - as another review states - is undoubtedly very good.

What an experience - every little plate was magical, and simply melted in my mouth. Great atmosphere as well. And don't forget delicious cocktails. A must-try.

We had an absolutely great experience at 10 Tib Lane. From the moment we walked through the door we were greeted with very friendly and helpful staff. The food was delicious and service was incredible throughout. They went the extra mile to make my friend’s 25th birthday extra special. 11/10 can’t wait to visit again!

I really enjoyed it. The food is really well presented, intriguing and delicious. My companion struggled a little with food coming out in drips and drabs rather than in old fashioned courses. Old cow is very good, but do try the beef tartare in bisque sauce with prawn cocktail crisps. I may even steal that idea. Well located, beautiful building and really lovely staff. Give it a try.

I recently visited 10 Tib Lane to celebrate my 25th birthday for the Sunday menu, and while there were some standout moments, the overall experience left a bit to be desired. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a complimentary tasting glass of champagne, which was a lovely touch and set a pleasant tone for the evening. The service, particularly from our waitress, was great—she was friendly, understanding, and genuinely one of the highlights of the evening. However, the rest of the experience was a mixed bag. Unfortunately, a major disappointment was the fact that the dry-aged steak, which had been the main reason for our visit, was sold out by 6pm. Given the limited menu with only five mains (I think) on offer, this felt like a significant letdown. On top of that, the wine service could have been better—our glasses went unrefilled despite being empty for some time, especially considering the hefty markup on the wine (more than 2.5x the Amazon RRP). To start, the oysters were a great choice. At a reasonable price, they were fresh and enjoyable, a solid way to begin the meal. The beignets were another highlight, though a bit of a surprise as they were incredibly cheesy. While they were tasty, the richness was unexpected. The salami, priced at £14, didn’t justify the cost—it was underwhelming and the accompanying pickled veg didn’t taste properly aged, just like wet vinegar. The mains were a bit of a mixed bag. The roast potatoes were disappointing, coming out rock-hard. The Yorkshire pudding was similarly off—stale and overcooked. On the other hand, the pork was tender and well-cooked, and the cauliflower cheese was fine. Unfortunately, the atmosphere was affected by a loud table nearby. A member of staff was sitting with friends frequently, engaging in shots and causing a disruption. It created a sense of unprofessionalism, especially in a setting where you'd expect a more refined dining experience. The general atmosphere was quite loud with music and not a cosy and personal as it looks online. In conclusion, 10 Tib Lane wasn’t bad, but some key areas—like consistency in food quality, wine service, and overall ambiance—need attention. The friendly service and thoughtful touches, like the champagne, helped salvage the evening, but given the price point, it's hard to overlook the disappointments.

Wonderful place! Had a lot of dishes to share and they all tasted wonderful. They removed Affagato from the menu but the lovely waiter fixed a similar solution for me and I love her for that! Would be back any day 💜

Today, we visited this amazing place upon the invitation of our friends, and our experience far exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere of the venue is very cozy and welcoming, which made us feel good as soon as we stepped inside. We had the chance to try some of the unique cocktails from the menu, and each one was incredibly creative and delicious. It was clear that the drinks were made with fresh and high-quality ingredients, and the taste truly reflected that. The food was just as impressive as the cocktails. The presentation of the dishes was extremely elegant and thoughtful, almost like a work of art. The quality of the ingredients used in the dishes also stood out; we could feel the freshness and premium quality with every bite. Every aspect of the meal was carefully crafted, showcasing both the freshness and the culinary expertise behind it. I also want to highlight the staff, who were incredibly friendly, warm, and attentive. They answered all of our questions with genuine enthusiasm, making us feel very comfortable throughout the evening. Both the speed of service and the approachable nature of the staff made our experience even more enjoyable. If you’re looking to enjoy a delightful evening with excellent cocktails and great food, this place is definitely the right choice. We will definitely be back!

Very nice meal, in particular the roasted squash and steak. Probably one of the best steaks I've had in Manchester, although it was very aged so had a strong meaty flavour to it. Bit of an acquired taste. All staff were very nice too and accommodating of our little dog. I think for me to get to five stars I would expect something more wow overall for the price. Besides from the squash and steak, nothing else blew my mind.

Amazing food! The torched mackerel was flavorful with a hint of sweetness, and the oysters were fresh as always. The mussels with sourdough and fennel mayo were outstanding. I also had the crispy hashbrowns with soured cream and roe, which were very nice. For dessert, the dark chocolate truffle with Amarena cherry was light and delicious, but the caramel tart with goat curd was the highlight. Our server, Teg, was attentive and friendly. 10/10!

Found about this place through instagram and after carefully reading all the great reviews had to come see what it was about. We got received by the lovely staff who were all very attentive and keen to explain the menu as it was our first time, were told we had just made it for the happy hour where they do their cocktails for £7 and oysters for £1. Safe to say we had a great time, we tried all of their cocktails as we were a table of 3 and had a bottle of wine which was delicious. We will definitely be back to try the food menu that also sounded incredible!

The quality of the food was quite good, though we found the prices to be high, especially considering the portion sizes. Despite there being only few occupied tables, the service was slower than expected. We also had to wait 25 minutes for our sirloin, and it would have been helpful if the waiter had informed us of the wait time in advance.

We first popped by here for early afternoon cocktails a few weeks ago and were tempted back by the tasty looking dishes being served. Friday night dinner, warm welcome and attentive helpful and genuinely lovely staff throughout. Menu is very well thought out, sourced and balanced to give really special choices. Too many highlights to mention but the beignets and ex-dairy sirloin were quite amazing! To the drinks - cocktails are creative, imaginative and 100% on point 🫶 And the menu speaks to my eternal love for Syrah (not found easily elsewhere) soo good! Recommend for drinks, lunch or dinner treats. Can’t wait to be back

Whether trying one of the amazing cocktails whilst sat at the bar or upstairs tucking into the incredible food - this place is a must. Some of the friendliest service you'll find in town and the oyster offer is sensational. I could have 20.

a really brilliant experience, highlighted by the lovely staff. they went above and beyond. Fran is a star, and Rebecca with her gorgeous earrings (please sell them) was just so kind and attentive. the food was delicious, we were big fans of the mussels and the pomme anna!

We went as a precursor to a meal. We had 2 glasses of wine each. Not cheap. But the wine was well selected at the right temperature. We both really enjoyed it. Manchester weather behaved, and their windows were open giving you a street drink feel. Excellent

A fabulous restaurant with excellent food and service. Tegan, our server, was super friendly and helpful and gave us a few top tips on what she’d recommend from the menu. Every dish was unusual and tasty and we really enjoyed my 50th birthday treat visit to 10 Tib Lane. The dishes are unusual and the team are happy to explain the menu and also introduce each dish as it’s served, which helps you pick a dish you’ll enjoy. Well worth a visit and we loved are lunch.

Price was quite high comparing with the size of the portion , especially beef tartare which was our least satisfied. However , another were good. Great place to dinner catch up with group.

Wow I just had an amazing meal here. The menu is mostly sharing plates but I came here on my own and ate 3 of the appetizers as the beignets and they were absolutely delicious. The steak tartare came with shoe string fries that gave it an excellent crunch and the aubergine with almonds was also fantastic.

I stopped by for lunch today and Tegan gave the most lovely service (as did all the staff!) I was looked after royally. The food was delightful as always. Thank you so much ! 💛

Fabulous night at 10 Tib Lane. We were visiting from Edinburgh for my husbands 40th. We had fizz on the house as we arrived (a lovely touch). The menu wasn't huge but the food was absolutely amazing. We were advised to share dishes between us. Everything we had was beautiful but the pork was absolutely outstanding! The server was lovely and attentive, and gave us a few recommendations for some bars afterwards. Would highly recommend this restaurant. It was a lovely birthday meal. Thank you.

It was very good the first night and excellent the second night. We found 10 Tib Lane and only expected to eat there once in our 3 nights in Manchester, however the food, ambience and staff were so good we just had to go back. The casual, yet professional nature of the servers was great, you can tell from their happiness and enthusiasm that they wanted to be there and to help you enjoy your food. The food was excellent, all with a small twist such as a pickled egg yolk on the steak tartare, or the use of dairy beef for the steak. The house pickles for the salami were great and the beignets sublime! The chef, staff and owners must be very happy with what they have come up with- congrats! PS when we asked for a takeaway ginger cake we got it in their version of a doggie bag

Fantastic lunch for 2: we had the sea bream, mushroom parfait, baby carrots, pommes Anna & charred cabbage - all delicious! Good range of cocktails (would recommend the ‘birds of paradise’), a really nice venue and the staff were all really friendly. Would definitely recommend 😊

Disappointing before I even managed to go… I called the restaurant to ask about gluten free menu. She told me to look on website. I said ‘I have already but no gf information’. She said ‘we don’t put the allergens menu on there’. Then told me I should come in and read it. So not going there tonight. Thanks for the help!

Had a great visit to 10 Tib Lane. Came in and sadly was lost in the fray for the moment as the bar was fully seated and we had reservation, took a moment to be seen to... however once seated, my oh my, what a lovely bar. Service was phenomenonal, quick, and friendly. Everything bar service should be. The waitress (sadly we didn't get her name) was bubbly, knowledgeable and the right kind of professional. Atmosphere was lovely, with great music and everyone else was in a great mood which helped elevate us into an ever better mood. Sadly didnt have food, but will have to come back to try. Great little cocktail menu, but slightly disappointed personally. Would have preferred to see more range (just a preference and won't affect my star review). However, the cocktails ordered (pictured) were excellent and reasonably priced for high quality ingredients. Would have been a 5/5, but sadly had two annoying issues. Firstly, the cocktail in the highball glass, (Bridgetown Fizz) was packed with large ice cubes, meaning you couldn't sip the drink easily without a straw (which didn't come without request). Secondly, if you're very tall (or broad) person like myself, sitting in certain areas is very cramped (as the bar was limited for space), and had people constantly knocking into me. Overall a strong 4/5.

Such good food at a reasonable price, best meal I have had in Manchester, really good quality. Only slight downside is the desserts arew a bit bland, would be nice if they used organic milk from small farms for the pannacotta but other than that, highly, highly recommend!

Really good oyster happy hour, got some nice beef tartare as well. The food was good but not the best I’ve had. The drinks were really good, the cocktails have a lot of attention to detail. An error on the bill where we were charged a bit more and that was rectified as soon as I brought it to their attention. Not a fan of automatically chucked in 10% service charge. Overall a good place that I can recommend.
