Was seated a a last minute walk in, customer service is staying the food on the menu looked outstanding (I only popped in for a quick snack but will definitely be going back. Lively atmosphere and great selection of drinks. Highly recommended 👌

Travelled 60 miles roundtrip after reading many 5" reviews. Was well worth it! Started with mocktails which were the best and a mixture of starters and two mains between two of us, was plenty. All amazing, will be back and slightly glad it's a distance as otherwise would be back every week!

Called Saturday evening, hadn’t booked a table but staff fitted us in and we sat in the window. Restaurant was busy so obviously very popular. Ordered lasagne and garlic bread with cheese. Meal was lovely would definitely go again. Staff attentive and pleasant, made us feel welcome even though we hadn’t booked.

Lovely pub with friendly owner! Two real ales and a great selection of wine. Will go back to try the food!

We came here while staying in cartmel for 2 nights. Staff were great & food was beautiful. It was really busy after the races on the Friday & great atmosphere.

Unreal dinner. Such good value and it’s not even expensive - this trio dessert spread was £12! The best quality and service. All the servers were smiley and lovely, will definitely be returning.

My (new) wife and I stayed at the Municipal for two nights, as we were getting married in the city. We stayed in the Presidential Suite. Prior to our stay, we emailed over questions that we had that would help us make our stay more efficient and the service we received was above and beyond what we could ever expect. Upon arrival, concierge, Jude, was awaiting and expecting us, and helped unload the car and place all belongings in our room. Reception staff were friendly, and checked us in efficiently. The room itself was gorgeous. On the morning of our wedding day, one member of staff went out of her way to give us both an unexpected complimentary glass of Prosecco. Although we didn’t catch her name, she had short black hair, wore glasses, and was one of most friendly members of the team that we came across. Reception staff were prompt in directing wedding suppliers to our room, and the bar staff were friendly when they needed to be. We asked for our wedding cake to be delivered to our room before we arrived back from the ceremony and, as if by magic, there it was, unboxed and beautifully presented with a congratulatory place of chocolate covered strawberries. Everything about our stay was top notch, and we appreciate the attention to detail team members put into ensuring we had a memorable stay.
