There was nothing Spanish/Mediterranean about this restaurant. The decor is very bland. Playing motown music and even Green Onions! I thought I was going to an authentic Spainish restaurant but no far from it. Food was mediocre. Waitresses very lovely and friendly.

Twenty of us went to La Cantina, Widnes, to celebrate an engagement. The service from Paula and Carlos was excellent and the food was delicious and beautifully presented. The menu was varied with choices to suit everyone. The prices were good too. Nowhere else could you get a three course meal at their prices. We have been there before, and we will definitely go again.

Went with family for daughters engagement, adults and children alike enjoyed their meal and staff are very efficient and friendly

Had a great night out to celebrate my Mum & Dads Golden Wedding Anniversary with them. Food was excellent and very filling. Staff were great, polite and very helpful. Top service and even gave my mum and dad a complimentary bottle of wine to celebrate their milestone anniversary. Mum is now in a wheel chair so it’s fantastic there is a lift to get from ground floor to 1st floor up to the main restaurant area. Highly recommend and will be looking to return again soon.

First visit here after hearing lots of excellent complimentary comments about the hidden gem in Widnes. And wasn't disappointed! Called in for the early evening menu. Fantastic choice of dishes for both a two and a three courses option. Both represent very good value for money. Nice choice of draught Spanish beers and bottles to choose from. Extensive wine menu as well as a wide choice of spirits. Staff very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Overall, very impressed and definitely will be back for another visit very soon!!

If you are after best meat in uk - that’s the place where to go ! Size of the meal is big don’t even need to eat chips

This is the best place to eat in Widnes. Went with friends last night and had a fantastic evening. The food was superb, the pear and goats cheese starter was fab. The fillet steaks and sirloin steaks were cooked to perfection. Great choice of drinks....

We had a lovely evening here celebrating my sister's retirement. The food was freshly made and delicious, and the service was very good. It was a Tuesday evening so there weren't many people in, but we've been here before when it was busy, and the atmosphere was great. My sister also got given a bottle of wine to take home to celebrate her retirement with. If you take advantage of the early bird menu it will cost you next to nothing too. Definitely worth a visit.

Found ourselves in Widnes in need of evening meal. A quick trawl through Google came up with La Cantina. What a brilliant find! Such friendly and welcoming staff - really made us feel at home. The food was top class, well presented and delicious. An excellent meal for 2, with drinks, for a little over £50 - what's not to like? Look forward to our next visit!
